A Feline Fiasco (Stardust and Lucas)

After finishing his talk with Grandma Chu, Lucas walks over to Stardust whilst reading over a flyer of the missing cat, "Alright well Mr. Stardust, it would seem Fujin has paired us up for this little errand, and it's a pleasure to meet you." Lucas puts his hands together still holding onto the flyer and slightly bows toward Stardust, "I am the Martial Artist Lucas." He then goes back to looking over the flyer for the picture of the cat and hands it to Stardust. "He's a fast one, but according to Lady Chu, people have seen him in the northern part of the village. I suppose we ought to start looking around up there." He smiles to Stardust eagerly rocking on his heels awaiting to hear if he has a plan of attack to capture the rouge kitten. His excitement almost can't be contained as this is his first time ever working on a team with someone.

Jian was just sitting against a wall in the little village. He looked around as he unwrapped a lollypop and started sucking on it. Back in the guild he was teamed up with a hooded figure to do a certain mission. Jian didn't even know what it was. But the hooded guy knew and he was gone, talking to the person who requested this mission. Suddenly the hooded guy came back to him and started talking.

"Alright well Mr. Stardust, it would seem Fujin has paired us up for this little errand, and it's a pleasure to meet you."

Jian raised an eyebrow as he looked to the guy. Now that he thought about it, they never really told their names to eachother.

"I never heard anything about teams before I joined..."

Jian said while he thought about Amara, the girl he had sworn to protect. And now he is teamed up with some other guy he didn't even know. Jian sighed and shrugged. Amara could survive without him. She did it way before he got into her life. He looked back at the hooded guy who bowed to him and said his name with some sort of title. Jian stood up and before he could say his own name, this Lucas guy pushed a flyer of a missing cat into the hands of Jian. He looked at it and sighed again.

"Both first timers, huh. Figures..."

He rolled his eyes when he looked over the mission. Just a simple cat search. A todler could bring this one to a good end. But Jian and this Lucas guy where set out to do this work. Simple and boring work. Jian didn't even listen to the other things Lucas had to say and grapped his staff.

"Let's just roll with it. No trouble at all."

He said while he passed his partner and walked to the north side of town.

Lucas sighs and chuckles to himself as he watches his partner walk to the north, "Well, our feline friend has been known to climb over roof tops and up into trees, now I don't know about you but I do have a few spells that could easily help up catch that cat." Lucas tightens the straps on his bracers ready to start chasing after the cat. He looks around over the tops of rooftops as the two reach the northern end of town, "Well if you don't mind I'll take to the skies to look for this cat." Lucas then turns to the nearest building and jumps on the window sill and begins to climb up the side of the building to the rooftops. Surveying the area in such of the cat he takes one final look at his teammate, "I got nothing so far." Taking his time as he walks crossed the rooftops.

Jian sighed when his hooded partner climed on the roofs and started looking for the cat. The hooded mage just continued his walk and wasn't really looking.

"Stupid cat, my talents are wasted by the mission. I need something else to keep my magic warmed up."

He said to himself while he stopped in the middle of the street. The mage looked around him and saw something slip away onto a roof. It looked like a black tail with a white spot at the end.

"Cat?"

Jian said to himself while looked at the roof. It was a fairly low roof and he could easily get up there without problems. So he walked to that roofside and simply floated untill he was standing on the roof. Then he looked around when he saw Lucas coming his way.

Now noticing his partner on the roofs, Lucas walks over to him. "So you spotted him?" Just as he finishes asking his question a black and white cat is caught by his eyes sitting on a chimney cleaning himself. Lucas pauses for a moment then looks down at the flyer then back at the cat then once back at the flyer, upon looking up for the final time the cat is seeing jumping to another rooftop now on the other side of the street, "Found him," tapping Stardust's shoulder and pointing to the cat running away now maybe 50 meters away. "Come on we need to move." Lucas then starts sprinting after the cat at a blinding speed which is easily faster then any normal persons speed. Lucas's speed easily matches the cat's however as fast as he may think he is, the monk is unable to catch up to the cat but can at least keep it in his sight at all times.

"Too much energy."

Jian simply said while he sat down in the middle of the air and simply floated after his partner with ease. He wasn't as fast but he could keep up with him. He saw the monk running after the cat like some sort of hunter after his prey. Jian shook his head.

"So childish. A cat isn't as easy the catch as you think. It is an elegant and smart animal."

He said to himself, but these words were ment for his partner. But he was out there hunting a cat who doesn't want to be caught. Jian stepped down from his float on the ground and continued his walk. He was only a few meters behinde the still running Lucas. With one simple magical dash though, he stood right before Lucas and stopped him.

"Stop running fool. This cat is a fast and smart one. You'll never catch up to it."

Jian said while he looked to the cat, who was running away and disappeared between the humans on the street.

"Do you have no manners? You got to treat a cat like a lady. A hairy, small but elegant lady. You do have the knowledge of treating a lady, right?"

Jian said while he looked back at Lucas with a raised eyebrow.

Used spells:

"Stop running fool. This cat is a fast and smart one. You'll never catch up to it." Jian said while he looked to the cat, who was running away and disappeared between the humans on the street. Lucas grumbles under his breathe, "I could easily catch that bloody cat." Jain continues on his rant and finally asks, "You do have the knowledge of treating a lady, right?" Jian said while he looked back at Lucas with a raised eyebrow. "Oh of course I do so if you have a better plan then please do share, because if you don't I'll catch that cat through pure speed alone." Lucas's impatience with his partner is beginning to ware thin. "You know what you do your thing and I'll just catch the cat." Lucas begins to run after the cat and growls  loud with the sound of a tiger, with that a yellow aura glows from his chest and eyes. Getting down on all fours the monk sprints off at nearly twice the speed he did before.

Spells Used:

Jian simply sighed again as he watched Lucas run off.

"Not going to work that way... Stubborn fool."

Then he took of into antoher direction. Through an alley he walked. He had known this shortcut since his first time here in town. He had seen a lot of Fiore and this town was not an exception. He walked a little further and stopped by a door. This door was the backdoor of the famous fish restaurant, le gold sea. Jian knocked a few times on the door. It went almost instantly unlocked and swung open. A little fat man with a huge moustache stood in the opening.

"Feeding the cats again, Pablo?"

Jian said with his calm voice. The man looked at him and begon the laugh.

"Little Juan! You are back!"

He said with a strange accents. Jian let a small smile appear on his face.

"It is Jian. With an I. But back to buiness. Cats?"

The man named Pablo sighed and nodded.

"I though you came here for food, not the cats..."

"Pablo, old friend. You know that you can't just kidnap cat who happend the walk by your place. They come here for the smell of the fish, not you. I am sorry."

Pablo nodded.

"You are right. I just wanted to have a cat so badly but my wife doesn't want it, Juan."

"Not my problem."

Jian said as he work his way through the dooropening. He entered a kitchen where all the meals magicly prepared themselves. He looked a bit around and saw the black and white cat.

"I knew that she was here."

The cat was eating some of the fish served for her. Jian walked over to the cat, stroked over her head and said with the most sweet voice ever:

"Are you coming, milady. Master is waiting for you. And a stinking kitchen is no place for a princess like you."

The cat looked at the red-haired mage and began the purr. Jian lifted the cat and put her on his shoulder. Pablo looked at him and sighed.

"Why are you always so good with kitties, Juan. They don't like me."

"No they don't. You are more of a dog person, Pablo."

Jian said while he passed the man and patted him on the back.

"But thanks for keeping her fed."

And with that he walked on the street again.
