To Earthland and Beyond {Venir/Xierak}

"Uuuuuuuuggh!"Venir groaned for what felt like the millionth time. Despite being in a bikini the sun was beginning to bother her after what felt like hours in line. Not only was the sun beginning to bother her, but the people as well. She was a sociable person despite her lack of social skills but after attempting conversation with numerous others around her, she grew frustrated at their rudeness. They weren't to blame though, they had all been in this line for hours.

"I just wish I could see where I was in this line!"She spoke aloud, as she often did causing numerous people to give her strange looks. Despite having stood there for hours, Venir could not see over or around the people in front of her and at this point had no idea how close she was to getting a....."Why am I here again?"The heat must have finally got to the mage, or she actually finally completely lost her mind. What other important details had she forgotten?"Would I get in trouble for pushing my way though? Could I even push my way through? Maybe one or two people but the larger one's would be more difficult."Venir grumbled as she weighed her options and tried to remember why she was here and if there was any other details she was forgetting. "I feel like I'm forgetting something big...."

Xierak had been quietly standing behind Venir, he had been dragged along for the ride in order to get their passports. He felt no need for a measly scrap of paper to cross over the borders, he was handling the heat well considering he was dressed head to toe in robes. He sighed as he watched Venir seemingly lose track of what they were sent to this town to do. He quietly spoke up disguising his voice, “Venir… Didn’t we come here to get our passports?...” Xierak was uncomfortable standing in line, considering the shear amount of people around him, I hate cities…

At that moment the female mage turned abruptly on her heels. She knew she was forgetting something! "Xierak!"Her face brightened as a smile graced her lips, "Yes passports!"She nodded, the large feathers in her hair swaying with the motion. "I can't believe I forgot about you! I mean you were the only person in the guild who would accompany me. Though I'm not sure why...."She still oblivious to her own mental state. Her smile got wider if possible, "I can't see where we are from down here so..."Venir took her heeled boots off, "I'll just climb on up onto your shoulders!"She was already making a move towards her cloaked guild mate. "Don't you worry Xierak. I was in a circus before I joined the guild so this will be a piece of cake compared to walking a tight rope."Venir grinned as the line began to move forward slightly though she hardly seemed to notice.

Xierak listened to his companion and let out a deep growl when she said that she was going to climb onto his shoulder. Xierak waited a moment then said, “I have a better idea” Xierak then manipulated the gravitons around Venir so he was in control of the gravity around her. He then made it so she lifted up ever so slowly so she could see over the crowd, he also made the courtesy of moving her forward as the line moved. After a moment he let her back down, I hope that prevents her from trying to climb on me… that is one thing I will not allow…

As her feet lifted off the ground Venir smiled, amazed that someone else was levitating her. She was so used to levitating herself that it felt strange to be floating and not be in control of it. A brief moment of panic hit her at that thought, not liking that she wasn't in control. However that panic passed as soon as her feet met the ground."Hmmmmm"Venir hummed, "We're a lot closer than I thought but I can't bear another moment of this sun and these people!Only five families in front of us. This'll be a piece of cake."Venir complained but gave a mischievous smile as she pulled her marbles out and rolled them onto the ground. They rolled out and into the line in font of her. "Now we wait for the line to move again!"Venir seemed more than a little proud of herself.

It took at least another ten minutes but the line in front of them finally moved slightly and like that chaos ensued. A few well placed marbles here and there and people were falling left and right. Brothers fell into sisters, Parents crashed into children, drinks went flying, and shouts of terror were heard. All that was left in front of Xierak and Venir was confused families trying to get back up and a straight shot to the front of the line. "Xierak hurry let my climb onto your shoulders!"Oblivious as usual.

Xierak simply stared at the chaos that had erupted around him, everyone in line fell over suddenly. She must have done this… Xierak was annoyed that she still said she was going to try and climb on his shoulders, he let out a deep growl, “Don’t touch me… and I am not to be climbed on…" Xierak then walked passed her, making sure not to step on anyone, when he got up to the desk, the clerk was still trying to make head and tails of the situation. Xierak then handed the clerk his paperwork, “I am a member of Eclipse Soul… one passport please…” The clerk waited a moment before starting to look at the papers, then he went pale. After a moment longer he put a stamp on it, and handed back the papers.

"Come on! It's be so cool!"The pinkette while not necessarily fond of being touched by others was incapable of realizing that others had that same feeling. However, she made no move to leap onto the large man's shoulders and instead skipped along after him also avoiding the fallen people. "Ooops sorry about stepping on your hand. Oh I wouldn't get up quite yet, that bump on your head looks awfully serious."Venir commented to each person she passed, most of them to stunned to protest her and Xierek moving to the front.

The female mage constantly tried to peak around Xierek as he attained his passport, wanting to see the process and what the papers looked like. Once Xierek had finished she quickly stepped up pausing for a moment as to what she had to do. "Ah those papers!"The pinkette fumbled in her pouches before producing a crumbled up, ripped, stained, and overall questionable document. "Oh and um I joined Eclipse Soul see?"She pointed to the light green marking on her shoulder almost proud of it."I need one passport!"The clerk took the document and eyes the woman skeptically before finally stamping the paperwork.

"Wow that was..."Venir looked up to Xierek clearly searching for words to say. Horrible? Ridiculous? "Super exciting!"She cheered throwing her arms up with a bright grin. The pinkette eyed over the crumpled document once more before growing serious, well as serious as she was capable of getting. "Thanks for coming out here with me! Sorry I forgot about ya... I don't think I could have done this without ya."After all, she did forget why she was there in the first place. "So you sure I can't climb up on your shoulders?"Her cheerful demeanor had once more returned just as quickly as it had departed moments before.

Xierak was already navigating away from the line, not in the best of moods, the clerk had realized the gravity of where I am from… When he heard Venirs apology for forgetting about him he kept on walking until he reached the edge of the street, “If only it was that easy…” Xierak then heard her second request to climb up on his shoulders, he growled, “No… Like I said, I am not to be climbed on… or touched for that matter…” Xierak then heard someone yelling down the street, “Robbery! Robbery! My Business has been Robbed!” Xierak sighed and turned to Venir, “It appears we have work to do…”

Oblivious as usual to her own guild-mates inner turmoil; she had instead focused on her own less serious dilemma. Venir frowned, pouting for a while after Xierak had shot down her idea once again. Why was he so against it? The pinkette eyed over him suspiciously but to her everything about him seemed normal, even his large body size. Then again she was half-insane. She would have continued to pout if not for the sudden shout of robbery. Quickly vowing to herself that one day she'd climb up on Xierak's shoulders she followed after him. "A robbery!?"Venir sighed as she stuffed the crumpled up passport in her pouches and traded it for her marbles.
