Manayus fell silent once he had finished what it was he had to say, and quickly joined Akame behind the rubble to hide thei presence from the other mages. The only problem with this scenario, was the residue of his own magic. If the mages paid any attention to thir sense of smell, those close enough to him would be able to pick up the sweet scent of roses (yes, he constantly smells like roses). One of the mages they silently passed did suddenly turn around, expecting to find someon but saw nothing as the two leaned down low to avoid detection.
Finally, Manayus reached forward to gently grab Akame's sleeve and give it a tug, pointing to a door that they were just about to pass. He couldn't just abandon the Townsend family by going to rejoin the musketeers, they were tasked with finding them, and he suddenly remembered a much more quiet and safe way to get there. He carefully slipped into the room, ushering Akame to follow him and then silently closed the door behind the pair, sighing in slight relief to be out of immediate danger.
"Follow me."
He whispered as he crept across the room, and used his magic to fly up towars the ceiling. He felt around the ceiling for a moment, and soon stoppd to press on a part of it. When he did, the part fell into his hands and revealed what almost looked like a hidden vent, only slightly larger. He then looked towards Akame and pointed up, indicating that she should go in first so that he could close the entrance behind them in the event anyone else walked into this room and discovered them.
