Primary Magic: Data Archive Magic
Secondary Magic: N/A
Caster or Holder: Caster
Description: (Describe your magic in detail: First being a description of what the magic he/she is using, and then a second paragraph of how he/she uses it.)
This magic is derived from a magic known as Archive. In fact, it is almost impossible to distinguish the two from one another, except for one aspect of Data Archive. Whilst Archive magic allowed you to manipulate screens of data statically, Data Archive allows the manipulation of them fluidly, actually using the data itself to attack and defend instead of just the screens displaying the data.
How T'Lem Rupee uses the magic is via her limbs, primarily her left arm and boots, although her right arm can manipulate the screens as well.
Strengths:
Weaknesses:
Abilities/Powers: (List the abilities it provides, make sure to separate each ability! Abilities are like passive traits, or a hidden power that can be activated for a very limited amount of time.)
Active Ability: Overcharge: T'lem can overcharge a spell to increase its rank by one. However, this doubles the MP cost and cooldown of that spell. She is unable to boost a technique higher than her current rank so if she was B she could not boost her B rank spells to A rank.
Passives:
1: Lightning absorption: Lightning based magic used against this mage, deals 50% less damage, and gives them a boost in physical strength and physical speed for one post. See table below for boost increments. Her system however can be prone to damage though from the stronger attacks. Her shield becomes less effective as the spells strengthen in power as detailed below.
10% for rank above, 20% for two ranks above, 40% for 3 ranks above. If the magic is higher than that, then the shield's damage reduction is nullified.
Boost Table
D-Rank = 5%
C-Rank = 10%
B-Rank = 15%
A-Rank = 20%
S-Rank = 20%
Anything higher and the system can't process it, dissipating the energy instead of harnessing it, resulting in no boost.

Strengths:
- Can process and absorb information, digital or analogue, ten times faster than the normal human rate.
- Can synch up with Archive magic users Archive spells to share and compare information
- Can analyse a mage's magical power to determine their rank.
Weaknesses:
- If the casters arms are rendered immobile, or removed, then the magic cannot be cast.
- Some spells are dependent on the casters own understanding of a situation to be fully effective.
- The opportunity to "read" ranks, gives no other insight to that mages magic.
- Takes 20% more damage from Water based attacks

- D-Rank Spells:
- Firewall:
Name: Firewall
Rank: D
Type: Defensive
Description:
The caster thrusts out their left hand towards the incoming attack, data streams around their arm briefly before a shield like sigil appears before her, followed swiftly by a magical dome.
Cast Speed = Instant. Duration = One post. Cooldown = Two posts.
Strengths:- Reduces D-Ranked ranged magical damage by 50%, halving each time for every rank above. C-Rank would be 25%, B would be 12.5%, A would be 6.25% etc.
- Is a complete dome with no visible weakspots
- Takes a millisecond to appear and enshroud the caster.
Weaknesses:- Enemies can simply walk through the barrier and attack from inside it.
- Melee based magic can't be blocked with it.
- If there is ground beneath the caster, the dome doesn't penetrate below, thus an enemy could theoretically come up from beneath her.
- Requires the use of her left arm. If she cannot use her left arm, then the spell cannot be cast.
- Reduces D-Ranked ranged magical damage by 50%, halving each time for every rank above. C-Rank would be 25%, B would be 12.5%, A would be 6.25% etc.
- Data Swipe Blade:
Name: Data Swipe Blade
Rank: D
Type: Offensive
Description:
The caster generates a single screen initially, a half an inch away from their left hand. This screen can then be swung in an arc, replicating itself up to a maximum of ten screens.
Maximum range = 170 inches / 4.3 metres. Each screen is 17 by 10 inches. (average laptop screen size)
Cast time = Instant. Duration = One post. Cooldown = Two posts. Damage = D-Rank
NOTE: The extra screens only increase the reach of the spell. It is still only a single D-Rank worth of damage, no matter how many of the extra screens strike in the one chain of screens.
Strengths:- Can cut through physical materials such as clothing, stone, metals etc.
- Can alternate between close range and medium range.
- Can be used as a shield to block melee attacks.
Weaknesses:- Cannot cut through Requip/Ex-Quip armour/weapons of ranks higher than the spell.
- Can only use one hand at any given time for the spell. i.e. cannot have the spell active in both hands at the same time.
- Cannot damage Lacrima
- Screen is destroyed if used to block a melee attack.
- Can cut through physical materials such as clothing, stone, metals etc.
- Data High Speed Stream:
Name: Data High Speed Stream
Rank: D
Type: Supportive, Offensive
Description:
The caster's boots/feet light up with circles of data around them briefly before the sole's glow and then propel them in the direction they wish to travel.
Cast time = Instant. Duration = Two posts. Cooldown = Three posts.
Strengths:- Increases the caster's physical speed up to 20 m/s aka 44 mph
- Allows for flight up to speeds of 20 m/s aka 44 mph
- Kicks during this spell deal D-Rank damage.
Weaknesses:- If caster is still in the air when the spell ends, they will fall to the ground without anything to slow their descent if there is nothing between them and the floor.
- Requires the use of her boots/feet. If her feet are removed, then the spell cannot be cast.
- If her boots are removed, the speed is halved, and she cannot fly.
- Requires the caster to be on the ground to "kick-off". If she is falling or suspended in some manner, then the spell won't work, even the flying portion.
- Increases the caster's physical speed up to 20 m/s aka 44 mph
- Data Barrage:
Name: Data Barrage
Rank: D
Type: Offensive
Description:
The caster generates as many screens as there are targets she wishes to fire upon, a large ring of data surrounding them. Each screen holds a zoomed in image of their particular target, except for a central screen. The caster then places their left hand on this screen to fire on the targets in the other screens.
Cast time = Instant. Duration = One post. Cooldown = Three posts. Max Range = 30m. Beam speed = 15m/s
Total Damage = D-Rank. Divide the damage between how many targets there are, i.e. five targets = D/5. Same applies with the explosions. The explosion only occurs if the beam itself misses, so it is still a part of the divided D-Rank damage, as opposed to a complete D-Rank in of itself.
Strengths:- Can target through smoke.
- Can target multiple enemies at once, up to eight at a time.
- Creates a D-rank explosion on the ground if the enemy dodges the beam attack. Blast area is two metres.
Weaknesses:- Requires her left arm to activate the firing sequence.
- Requires the caster to see her targets. If they are hidden from view or invisible, then the targeting screens cannot lock on.
- Requires the targeting screens to lock on to the targets before the firing sequence can be activated.
- If the caster is rendered blind, then the targeting screens won't be able to target any enemies.
- Can target through smoke.
