Magic
Primary Magic:
Striking Blaze
Caster or Holder:
Caster
Description:
Striking Blaze is a fire-based brawling style magic. The user is able to use flames to enhance their strikes, cause burns, and just about everything fire magic does. The user is clearly unaffected by their own flames, as most of the spells involve shrouding certain body parts, or their entire body in them. This also means that the user of this magic will have nearly no ranged attacks, since it is brawling-styled after all. Hareta’s flames are slightly different in colour; instead of the normal, typical orange-red colour, the flames she uses tend to be gold in colour.
Strengths:
* Close-combat proficiency; since this magic is basically brawling with fire, Hareta is going to be extremely difficult to contend with at close range, seeing as how her magic revolves around powerful, quick melee strikes and evasive maneuvers.
* Feed. Me. More!; Wind magic won’t affect Hareta as much if she has a spell of sorts turned on. Since wind fuels fire, it will not only increase the damage of the spell, but also reduce the damage done to Hareta.
* Ice? Where?!; Since Hareta uses fire to empower her strikes, she has a good edge against ice-based magics, since she’s able to melt them away.
Weaknesses:
* Fire Slayer Fodder; This is still a fire magic. Any slayer that eats fire can eat Hareta’s flames.
* Water Magic; Like any other fire, Hareta’s flames cannot withstand water magic of equal or higher rank.
* Dammit! You’re too far away!; Since Hareta’s magic hardly has any ranged spells, if at all, and revolves around getting up close and personal, those who have ranged attacks, or general ranged magic, have a good edge over her.
* Stop smothering me!; Earth magic of equal/higher rank can smother Hareta’s flames.
* My actual defensive spells… Are lacking.; This magic focuses more on the offensive aspects, rather than defensive ones. This means Hareta has very little defensive spells.
Abilities/Powers:
“Eh? Temperature? What’s that?”; Because Hareta uses fire to constantly heat up her body for attacks, she is unaffected by things such as heat or the cold that isn’t caused by magic. This also means that she’s immune to burns and frostbite effects only last for a third of the duration they normally would. No frostbite is ever permanent on her.
“I may look gentle… But I’m a fighter, dammit!”; Because this magic heavily involves brawling, Hareta will have the strength, endurance, and speed of a brawler. She is significantly stronger, faster, and can take more hits than your average joe, and mixed with her magical energy, her general abilities are raised to superhuman levels.
“Ohh! Crispy!”; Fire magic will almost always have qualities fire has. As a result, whenever Hareta lands a successful hit, a certain degree burn is caused depending on the rank of the spell. The burns and their severity are as the following:
D/C-Rank spells will cause a 1st degree burn, which will deal an additional D-Rank damage.
B/A-Rank spells will cause a 2nd degree burn, which will deal an additional C-Rank damage.
S/H-Rank spells will cause a 3rd degree burn, which will deal an additional B-Rank damage.
“Was that meant to hurt?”; Hareta has a general resistance to all fire spells. Hareta has a 25% resistance towards all fire spells.
“Whoa! That was close!”; Due to being a brawler and mage, Hareta uses her magical energy to increase her reaction speed tremendously.
“Look Ma! I’m a snake!”; This ability comes from Hareta’s lineage; Serpent’s Fang. Hareta is as agile as any snake, moving significantly faster in grass and water (60 MPH). That’s passively. The lineage also gives the Hareta the ability to spew out a deadly venom from her mouth to paralyse living beings. Hareta is able to spew out poison for up to 5 meters, its effects last for the next user’s post, and has a 3 post cooldown. The paralysis can only affect the same person for up to 3 times per thread.

- Lineage:
Serpent’s Fang:
Description: A brave pirate was said to have slain a serpent. The pirate took the fangs of the serpent and turned the fangs into a broth. Little did he know that the fangs would consume the pirate and give him snake like abilities.
Ability: The user becomes agile like a snake, moving quickly in water and grass. The ability is passive and also allows the user to spew out deadly venom from his mouth to paralyse living beings. Range of 5 meters, lasts 1 post. 3 post cool-down.
Usage: Passive ability that effects the user. The paralysis poison can have an effect against the same person a maximum of 3 times.
- Signature:
Name:
Fire Fist
Rank:
C-Rank
Type:
Fire, Offensive
Description:
This is Hareta’s signature move, but not her most powerful; it’s still up there, however. This spell has two versions, one of them is for a more ranged attack, while the other one is used whenever up close and personal. The ranged version is really quite simple; Hareta envelopes her fist in flames and then punches forward into the air, shooting out her flames forward to hit her foes. To be more specific, she shoots it up to 25 meters in front of her. The melee version works by sending out the condensed flames upon the user as Hareta strikes them, dealing both physical and magical damage, which is equal to 2 C-Rank hits in total, and doing so will send the foe back 10 meters, due to the excessive force.
Strengths:
* Has two version; one of the single spells in Hareta’s arsenal that is actually ranged, or partially so.
* Melee is more powerful than the ranged version
* Is able to destroy C-Rank or lower ice barriers, regardless as to which version is used.
* Hareta is able to use C-Rank wind spells or lower to power up her flames, making it deal an additional D-Rank damage.
Weaknesses:
* Water of equal rank is able to put out the flames
* In order to achieve more damage, Hareta needs to get up close and personal
* Foes that are beyond the 25 meter mark will not be harmed
* Wind of higher rank is able to put out the spell.
* Unable to smash through ice barriers of higher rank

- D-Rank Spells:
- Name:
Striker’s Step
Rank:
D-Rank
Type:
Fire, Movement
Description:
Hareta uses her flames to make boost her forwards from her feet. Hareta can boost to up to 10 meters, and has 3 bursts per post whenever using this spell. She goes at speeds of 50 MPH, which is nearly blinding to the human eye. Whenever she bursts, Hareta leaves behind a trail of fire which doesn’t do any damage, though it can cause burns if touched. She is able to bend a curve during her bursts.
Strengths:
* Gives Hareta a quick step-like ability that she’s able to use 3 times in a single post.
* She travels at 50 MPH, which is almost blinding to the human eye, and can go as far as 10 meters per burst.
* Leaves behind a trail of fire that can cause burns.
Weaknesses:
* The first and foremost weakness of this spell are obstacles. If Hareta slams into anything while using this spell, she’ll be dazed for a post.
* The trail of fire doesn’t actually do any damage, apart from the burn.
* Though Hareta does go at blinding speeds, people can track down where she’s gone by looking at the trail of fire and following it.
* In the grand scheme of things, this spell is not a getaway spell; it was designed and used to out-maneuver the foe.

Rising Blaze
Rank:
D-Rank
Type:
Fire, Offensive
Description:
Hareta jumps back 3 feet before igniting her entire right fist, up to her wrist, in flames. She then boosts herself forward for 5 meters, or if her target is in front of her, not at all. Once she’s in front of her target, she uses her fire to boost herself from the ground, uppercutting the foe and flying up with him/her for up to 10 meters up, preforming a half spin along the way. At the very end of the uppercut, the foe flies back for 5 meters.
Strengths:
* Has a boost for 5 meters, so Hareta is given a slightly higher chance to hit.
* There is a knockback at the end of the attack, knocking the foe back for 5 meters.
* This attack will cause a burn effect.
Weaknesses:
* The boost is not much, simply being 5 meters.
* Despite having a boost, it is not much, which means that the foe has to be fairly close for Hareta to hit with this spell.
* Armored foes (helmets of sorts) will not receive a burn effect.
* Hareta will be unable to use the boost in cluttered areas.

Flaming Strikes
Rank:
D-Rank
Type:
Fire, Offensive
Description:
This spell is by far one of Hareta’s simpler spells, yet, one of the most effective ones. Hareta begins the spell by spreading out her arms and extending them; as soon as she does this, a magical circle will appear underneath her and in front of her extended hands. The magical circle glows a golden colour before dispersing, as the magical energy surrounds Hareta’s legs and arms, cloaking them in flames. Her hits now deal D-Rank fire damage and will cause a burn upon contact. She does not have to go through the whole ordeal of extending her arms out, though.
Strengths:
* Increase of damage to where each strike does D-Rank fire damage, and causes burns.
* In the face on Ice spells, Hareta is able to smack them away and melt them in a single hit, assuming they’re of equal rank.
* Wind spells of equal rank power up the flames to the point where they do 25% more damage and the wind spells do 25% less damage. If multiple wind spells come Hareta’s way, the damage increase will not go up further, though the damage reduction applies to all of them.
Weaknesses:
* Burns will not take place against armored foes.
* Water spells of equal rank are able to put out her flaming arms and legs and send this spell into its full cooldown instantly.
* Wind spells of higher rank are actually able to snuff out the flames.
* Spell is no use in the face of ranged opponents, as Hareta must get up and personal to even use this spell properly.
* Hareta is unable to melt ice spells of higher rank.

Name:
Blazing Aura
Rank:
D-Rank
Type:
Fire, Buff, Offensive
Description:
Hareta crosses her arms, lifts them up, and then with a rapid movement, brings them down back to her sides. What happens then, is that Hareta’s entire body becomes enveloped in golden flames. Her speed and strength are both increased by 15%, while the aura itself does D-Rank worth of damage and burns if anyone else but Hareta comes into contact with it.
Strengths:
* Provides Hareta a 15% increase in strength and speed.
* The aura does D-Rank worth of damage and causes burns whenever it comes into contact with anything, with Hatera being the exception.
* Wind magic doubles the stats risen (30%) if it’s the same magic, though the damage the aura does remains the same. Wind magic is also only half as effective as it normally would be with this spell on.
* Hareta is able to melt ice barriers and attacks with this aura, with a single hit, assuming that it’s of the same rank.
Weaknesses:
* Water magic of equal rank can put out the aura entirely. 2 D-Rank water spells, or a single C-Rank spell, is enough to completely stop this spell and set it into full cooldown.
* Wind magic that’s higher ranked than this spell is able to snuff out the aura, and set it into full cooldown.
* Hareta is unable to melt ice spells of higher rank.
* Burns won’t occur to foes that are armored.
* This spell is only effective in close range, meaning that Hareta has to get up close and personal with her opponents to fully utilize this spell; ranged foes have a distinct advantage and won’t get burnt.
* Two earth spells of equal rank, or a single C-Rank earth spell, will be able to put out the flames.

Name:
Blissful Ignorance
Rank:
C-Rank
Type:
Supportive
Description:
The spellt is that whenever Hareta deals a hit, a bright red mark in the shape of a burning flame is formed on the struck enemy. What this mark does is that it reduces all of the opponents resistances by a factor of 10% from the original resistance. For example, if a foe has a 80% resistance towards ice, Hareta strikes them once, this reduces by 8%, strike them again, and another 8% is reduced, however, Hareta cannot reduce more than 50% of the foes resistance. Another example, if a foe has a 30% resistance to lightning, then Hareta can only ever drop it to a 15% resistance, and it won’t get any lower than that. Also, the resistance reduced lowers against higher ranked opponents. This only ever applies to a battle, and the marks will fade if Hareta is either knocked out, or the battle ends; also, Hareta cannot reduce resistances towards water. An additional effect to this spell is that Hareta is able to ignore a single hit required in order to break or de-summon something. For instance, if a spell would require 3 C-Rank hits to take down, Hareta is able to ignore one of them, and make it so that she only requires 2.
Strengths:
* Reduces foes resistances
* Allows Hareta to ignore hits required to destroy a defensive spell or de-summon summons
* Reduction in resistances stacks up
Weaknesses:
* Cannot reduce the resistances beyond 50%
* Hareta is only able to ignore a single hit required to destroy items, spells, or de-summon a summon.
* Hareta cannot reduce resistances towards water.
* Spells above B-Rank cannot have their hits reduced.
* Requires Hareta to get up close and personal for this spell to be effective.
* Whenever faced against foes that are higher ranked, the resistances that are reduced are lowered. Against foes a rank above her, the resistances are dropped by 5%. Against foes two ranks above her, the resistances are dropped by 2%. Against foes three ranks above her, the resistances are not dropped at all.
* Only Hareta is able to apply these resistance reductions, and once the duration is over, they go back to normal.

Name:
Brawler’s Resolve
Rank:
C-Rank
Type:
Fire, Offensive
Description:
Hareta closes her eyes as she superheats her entire body. Instantly, Hareta is enveloped in a huge aura of golden flames; pure gold, about the size of a small boulder. What this does is increase Hareta’s strength enormously; it’s doubled, to be precise. Also, that’s not the only thing this ability does, but it also grants the aura, which will cause D-Rank worth of damage to anyone standing within a 5 meter radius from her. Whenever activating this spell, Hareta will utter the words ”This is my resolve…” and will refuse any help whatsoever.
Strengths:
* Doubles Hareta’s strength
* Causes D-Rank worth of damage to those standing within a 5 meter radius from her per post
* Wind spells of equal or lower rank will power up the aura to cause more damage whenever foes stand near her. D-Rank wind spells will increase the auras strength by 0.5x, and C-Rank wind spells will increase the auras strength to become C-Rank damage per post for those near her.
* Hareta is able to smash through any ice spells of equal or lower rank.
Weaknesses:
* The aura can only ever do a maximum of C-Rank damage per post.
* Water spells can put out the aura entirely and set the spell into full cooldown. Two C-Rank water spells, or a single B-Rank water spell, can do this.
* Wind magic of higher rank can completely snuff out the flames, so B-Rank or higher wind magic, and off it goes to cooldown.
* Hareta is unable to smash through ice spells of higher rank unless stated by the said spell otherwise.
* Earth spells can smother and send this spell into a complete cooldown. Two C-Rank, or a single B-Rank earth spell is able to do so and send it into its full cooldown.
* This is Hareta’s resolve, and as such, she takes an immense amount of pride in it. She’ll refuse any help whatsoever from her allies, or just help in general, and will actually hit anyone who tries to do so.
* Allies can also get damaged by the heat damage per post, assuming they’re near it.
* That being said, the radius of the fire damage is not that large, and this spell is only useful against foes whenever Hareta is in close range with them.
* Hareta is unable to use any other spells in her arsenal, though spells that are already active will remain as so.

Name:
Searing Assault
Rank:
C-Rank
Type:
Fire, Offensive
Description:
This spell has two version as to how it can go; when the opponent gets hit, or when the opponent blocks. To begin with, however, Hareta forms fire in one of her fists; a golden flame. Then, Hareta uses more of her golden flames in order to boost herself forward, for up to 10 meters within a single second. If she happens to hit the opponent with her flaming fist, then the target will be dealt C-Rank damage, and that will be the end of it. On the other hand, if the opponent blocks, what happens next is that they’re set off balance, and Hareta uses that time to envelope her entire body in golden flames, and her next 4 attacks are undodgeable or unblockable, and will each deal D-Rank damage, for a total of 2 C-Rank damage.
Strengths:
* A fantastic block breaker. Opponents don’t see it coming.
* Hareta is able to close a gap in between the opponent within a second
* Regardless to the two potential outcomes, the opponent still gets damaged.
Weaknesses:
* To use this spell effectively, the target must block.
* While the boost helps, it’s not everything; Hareta still needs to be relatively close.
* Hareta can be stopped by placing a structure in front of her, and the target, and if she hits it at the speed she is going, she will receive C-Rank damage.
* Opponents are able to completely avoid any outcome by simply dodging it.
