The Fall... (Failed attempted suicide, Open)

It was getting too hard now... Every day was a struggle to control her violent urges. Every day was beggining to be a struggle not to hurt those that she cared about. So she did the only thing that she could do, spend one more day with Kiersa on another one of her wild antics. This tome it was to a cosplay show and gave Mary her last few memories. It wasn't Kiersa's fault, but on Mary. She was too scared of dying on that night of the convent and let the corruption go in her. So this was the end of a life and at least it was fun. Kiersa eventually stood at the edge of the rail and gave one final look to the others in the guild before giving a smile and letting herself fall backwards off the guild. Her body plummeted below with no way to stop and for a small while in her final moments of her life...

...she could feel the warmth of the maker before the candle that was her life was snuffed out. Mary was finally at piece...

Kiersa was leaning on the rails outside, her head buried into her arms as someone inside had been gently ribbing into her over the cosplay pictures in the magazine, the nun seeking an escape. She looked over towards Mary who was a bit of a distance away from her, who seemed to be enjoying the view. Kiersa looked out across the endless horizon, smiling softly as she came to the same conclusion...

That's when she heard the dull thwump of cloth striking against wind. The nun looked over to where Mary had been earlier, her eyes widening before she looked downwards to where she could see the girl plummeting. "MARY!" she screamed, before throwing herself over the edge as well, her habit flapping in the wind. "Stigmata of Flight!" she intoned, blood streaming from her back before the golden wings took form as her legs went lifeless.

The pain mattered not to the girl as she struggled to gain pace with her falling friend. "Mary! Hold on! I'm coming!" she cried out, her words lost to the wind as she reached out in vain towards the plummeting girl. Just a little further, just a little closer, come on, come on... Maker please... help me... prayed the nun silently as she tried to beat her wings faster, trying to catch up to Mary.

It was one of those days where Raven had little to nothing to do that she spent in the guild just for fun. It was also one of those days that she didn’t go out singing or traveling. So what’s a better way to spend such a wonderful day than storming around the guild, pulling a few pranks and singing for her guild mates? Nothing! She would say and that’s exactly what she was doing. She was singing with a few people that were crowded around her just for fun with Kuroe sitting next to her with his wings covering his ears which she honestly couldn’t see on him.

A rather deafening scream is what snapped the silver haired girl out of it and she threw her legs off the table she rested them on and sped off from her table and past the crowd to see Mary standing on the railing ready to fall down. She figured the scream came from Kiersa but brushed that information off her mind to focus on Mary. “Raven! She is going to fall!” Kuroe screamed behind her and Raven was already running…running towards her only friend that spent time making clothes for her. “Mary!” She screamed as well, a very familiar feeling of her back being split open followed as Raven flew after Mary with her black wings open.

The girl was falling down fast and she noticed Kiersa beside her who couldn’t catch Mary. Raven, probably because of her raven blood was able to fly faster, somehow ignoring the cutting wind that pushed her back to grab Mary’s hands. She succeeded, she grabbed the girl’s hand…but for a few seconds….the girl’s hand slipped out of her hold as Raven watched in horror as Mary fell back down.

Mary accelerated faster and faster as the ground soon came to view. It would be over soon, just a near painless hit on the ground. And then peace... something that she had been seeking for month's. Memories of the covenant flashed before her eyes, much better times when it was  in peaceful contemplation to the Maker. Her eyes were closed, body relaxed and with a small smile on her face. She was at peace with herself... until she felt something grabbing her hand which sparked her to wake up and see that Raven took her hand with Kiersa behind her to catch up.   Panic was before her eyes as she didn't want to be saved, but the grip slipped and the demon nun was in a freefall again. And then the impact left a small crater on the ground with nothing but a wide eyed expression.

It was a few seconds of impact that she just laid there in the crater wide opened for a couple more seconds. It seemed she was dead, no movement and no breathing could be seen. This lasted for about 10 seconds before the following happened, "Ow"

Kiersa saw the black winged girl almost hold onto Mary, thinking that this was another of the Maker's Dark Angels... only for her to slip her grip. The nun looked on in horror as Mary crashed into the ground, a small crater formed around her impact. Kiersa slowly floated down next to her, her golden wings dissipating into the air as she knelt beside her friend. "Mary... why?" she asked softly of the girl she believed now to be dead.

She wasn't moving... she wasn't breathing... No spell in Kiersa repertoire could restore life to the dead... and who could survive a fall like that... The nun lowered her head in sorrow, silently praying for her friends soul when a faint sound reached her ears. Sharply she looked down to Mary and her eyes widened, filling with water as she beheld the miracle before her. "Mary!" she said, leaning over to hug her friend, trying to be careful to not cause any further injury.

Raven followed, landing near Kiersa and the unconscious Mary. She could tell the girl was only unconscious from the slow but steady rise and fall of her chest which Kiersa must have not noticed in the panic. Instead of falling next to her and crying, Raven felt like summoning some of her crows to give her a painful wakeup call. Feeling Kuroe land beside her, Raven looked at him once before turning back to the girl that was now gaining a bit of her consciousness. Folding her hands over her chest, Raven gave her one icy cold look before walking off in the opposite direction to get an ice pack. “She is gonna need it alright” she mumbled for her to hear only.

Mary was in shock, body could not move for a few seconds as her mind had not quite recovered from the fact that she survived the fall from the guildhall. There was no way that was normal! No way that a human body could survive that! As she laid there and the sorrowful Kiersa was attempting to gentlly hug her when Mary pushed aside her arms. Tried to get up and run, but Kiersa would be good of an advantageous position to get too far. Even Raven was in the way to stop Mary. The ex-nun tears were flowing out at the potential tackle/running away that could be occuring.

"Please just let me go! I can't control it anymore! I don't want to hurt those I love! Please don't let me become a monster!"

Kiersa blinked as Mary shoved her arms away, looking at the girl in confusion before she tried to run away from her, shouting her reasons. The nun frowned before taking a slow breath and taking her stance. "Stigmata of the Penitent!" she invoked, the holy magic surging forth to bind Mary to the spot, even as Kiersa's eyes began to bleed.

She could sense the demonic magic in Mary's body... except... She blinked as she tried to figure out what was going on. "M-Mary..." she called out, her voice confused by what she was sensing. "Th-the only d-demon I s-sense... i-is your Takeover magic..." called over Kiersa. The nun just hoped that Mary didn't try to use her demon take over whilst chained by Penitent... she didn't want to see her friend hurt any more than she already was.

Raven came back just in time to hear the girl shout something about not wanting to hurt the people she loves and froze in her spot for a few minutes before she resumed to close the gap between them, her expression hidden by the strands of hair falling onto her face. She stopped in front of Mary before slamming the ice pack on her head weak enough to not hurt her way more than she already is but strong enough to make it seem like she got whacked. Crouching down in front of her, Raven looked up, her bright red eyes shining furiously…”I…I do not want to hear you say those words again,” her voice was hard and devoid of emotion but it was dark enough to make an ordinary person cower.

Standing back up, Raven decided to leave the two friends alone, being rather annoyed at the turn of events herself. What Mary said had broken thousands of memories she locked up inside a fort she constructed over years in her mind. She did not want to stay and take her anger out on the girl anymore.

Mary was soon paralyzed by Kiersa's spell and couldn't move, but Mary could feel it. She was transforming again and it was getting faster than normal but also more violent. Soon she was demonic all over again and Mary felt an urgent instinct to hurt Kiersa since she was restraining her. The bindings were failing, but before damaging Mary as she took step after step slowly to Kiersa. The magic was hurting her but not stopping her. Soon the clawed hands would grab Kiersa as the new monster said, "Where is your Maker to save you now?" The other claw was about ready to take Kiersa's head clean off, but exhaustion finally hit and the transformation reverted as she fell. Mary was too tired to move, she was feeling numb. She begged Kiersa a mercy, one that was small cry for help.

"If you have any mercy on my soul Kiersa please kill me now... I don't want to wake up from this anymore... I am too tired to fight... this taint... Let me return to the Mak.-"

The world was so much better asleep now...
