In everyday situations, Roma has a calm personality. He remains content most often, though his face doesn't show it. "Smiling on the Inside" is a common expression amongst his friends as he almost never changes the expression on his face. Some say that hearing Roma's laugh is more rare than seeing a dragon, which he couldn't help but chuckle at. Friend and training are the most important part of Roma's life. Without the two, he'd have no reason to live. Becoming a wizard saint is his goal and aspiration in life. However far away that may be. On a distantly unrelated note, Roma wears a sweet fiery cologne. He never goes anywhere without putting it on.
In battle, Roma remains calm and collected. He requips, using staves primarily. His closet consists of robes and tunics rather than armor. This allows for easy movement. Having been trained, Roma uses the staves as physical and magical weapons. If his body is restricted by tight clothing, he may freak out in dire situations. This is partially why he uses requip magic. If, by some string of chance, Roma happens to be wearing jeans and a shirt when a battle rings out, he can requip into a tunic, where he'll feel much more free.
Roma's skills in leading are restricted, if they even exist. He sees his friends and himself as equals in any case. They may yell back and forth in combat to aid eachother, but there is no leader and there are absolutely no followers. If something were to happen to one of his comrades due to improper judgment on his part, Roma would be sick of himself. His constant fear of not being good enough is what pushes him to train. This also explains his constant need to travel with others. Under command, Roma does well. He may hate leading, but following others' orders is something that he does well.
Training, Roma works as hard as he would if his life were at stake. If he doesn't, he fears his dream of becoming a wizard saint will never be realized. His favorite tactic is head on battle. His robes carry magical properties to aid in battle, though they offer very little physical protection. Staves work similarly. They carry one active spell and a power that enhances the holder's abilities, not to mention that they can be equipped with lacrimi for more power. Roma generally trains attack spells with his staves and defensive spells with clothing. His friends always seem to attack physically, seeing as that's his main weakness. His body is strong, his clothing just offers very little protection.
Lastly, Roma travels light, since he can store things in another dimension. Due to this, he often asks that his partners travel light as well. Most stave magicians carry their weapons, Roma sees this as a pointless approach. Since he can retrieve items at any time, he also refuses to carry more than one stave with him at any time and of course he can only wear a single robe or tunic at once as well.
