In normal circumstances, Mira avoided the bar, but today was the one time of day that they didn't just serve booze; namely, the hour after happy hour. She made her way to the mostly-empty bar, sitting on a stool and looking at the assorted beverages. "Hmm...I think I'll have a pop." She took a glass and filled it with her drink, sipping it in the relative quiet of the bar.

Through the hallways of the Sabertooth guildhall, a barely audible groan could be heard. Floating amongst it was the sound of heavy feet, slow trudging along as he attempted to return to the world of the living. To say he was tired was an understatement; Eli struggled to even stand at the moment. He had gotten distracted with his research last night, and barely slept at all. Infact, it'd be a solid 27 hours of consciousness for him so far. He wished this wasn't as common an occurrence as it was. Whenever a new idea sprang into his head, he would be gone for hours investigating and attempting to create a new circle. Despite his usual aloof appearance, Eli was constantly working behind the scenes to progress his understanding and knowledge of magic.
For the time being though, the work was over and play was about to begin. He wasn't going to let any lack of sleep stop him from enjoying a hard earned relaxation. He'd probably go around some of his old stomping grounds for a game or three. First though, he'd need something to wake him up. With nothing in his room to help him, he'd struggled towards the bar, looking to see what lifewater he could find there to revive him.
Instead what met him was a surprise. He wasn't expecting to see anyone there at all, let alone someone new to him. The bar tended to be his sole retreat. He wondered if he had the energy to deal with someone right now, but his inner pride wouldn't allow him to show himself as anything but his usual perfection. Taking a deep breath, he mustered up as much energy as his body had in him. Straightening his posture, forcing a confident grin, he moved beside Mira and sat next to her, not saying a word as he prepared himself a drink. While he wanted a coffee, he had to keep up his facade and poured himself a shot of scotch. Her reaction to his presence would determine how he continued. He hoped to hide his lack of presence currently, but the bags under his eyes would give him away to an observant person, and he couldn't really hide that fact.

Mira was still sipping her pop when she heard Eli coming. She turned to see him walking with a fairly...well, confident air, she supposed. When he sat down and grabbed a scotch, she chuckled a bit, turning back to her soda. "Careful mate, you look tired as all hell. Too much liquor doesn't do a body good in that state." She turned to face him. "Unless you like keeling over every time you meet a new person."
