Through a manipulation of his magic, Jason forces it inwards, stimulating his muscles, and increasing his strength to much higher levels. This allows him to move faster, hit harder, and take more damage, much more than that of a normal person.
He knows that currently it's something you can overlook, seeing as how there are those who can throw fire like tennis balls, or lift rocks with their minds. Currently it pales in comparison to these incredible feats or magical prowess. But he knows that if he keeps at it, one day he'll be able to push his magic to the next level, and become a legendary hero.
Appearance:
Jason is a well built and well-toned young man, partially due to his magic, the other due to the discipline he prides himself on having. Nonetheless, his musculature is much above average people, and while he is proud of his looks, he tends to hid his physicality beneath his clothes. He wears a yellow and black leather jacket, yellow filling up the torso and underside of the arms, while the black covers his shoulders and the upper part of his back and neck. The jacket is covered in little scratches and marks of one were to look close enough. Beneath the jacket is a plain black t-shirt with a pocket on the right side; nothing quite too special about it. Also wrapped over his left shoulder is a faded dark orange sling backpack with a white stripe running down the center of the strap. The buckle to disconnect the strap is next to his hip on his right side. The back of the backpack has a place to store a weapon of some kind, and seems to have done so previously, but it sits empty now.
On his lower half Jason tends to wear a pair of worn blue jeans that appear to have seen some combat. While no cuts or tears exist on them, they are definitely older looking. For his shoes, he wears a pair of high top black and white converse. The shoelaces always look like they're newer than the shoes themselves, as if Jason would rather replace parts than the whole thing.
As for his skin itself, it's covered in small scars almost everywhere, most prevalent on his arms and torso. Two of the scars however are the most impressive. One of them is right under his collarbone on his right side, a large circular indent about 1 1/2 inches in diameter. Left from a time when he was younger, what created the scar, however, he doesn't remember. As for the second one, it was obviously left by a long sword being thrust through his stomach, that wound also happens to have been left by a sword that Jason once wielded. It had been taken from him, and left that scar when he go it back. It serves as a grim reminder to be cautious,and always keep an eye on your opponent. He also has two different tattoos on either of his lower arms. The one on his right arm appears to resemble a bird with it's beak open, the bird and most of the details being black, with the definitions being a dark green. On the other arm is an all black tattoo with different marking to symbolize the aspects of Jason's training, chronicling it in the form of a sort of tribal hieroglyphs.
Personality:
Jason is a lighthearted adventurer at his core. He enjoys spending time with friends, and loves meeting new people, not to mention stronger ones (they make his warrior instincts tick, also serving as a measure for his current power). However, he is not stupid by any stretch of the imagination, his brain is always analyzing his surroundings and people around him, and he knows if he can win a fight or not.
He is a funny guy, or at least that's what he likes to think. Even in the heat of battle, he quips and makes jokes, partially to try and throw his opponent off balance, and to keep himself calmer with some levity. But while it is difficult to make him angry, when he grows enraged, his personality dissipates beneath a cover of a kind of war-like version of himself. A sort of blood-lust growing deep in his stomach, which calms down as he does. He doesn't get angry often though, at least not to get to that point. That has only happened three times, and he doesn't want to make a habit out of it.
Despite his age, Jason has also never been romantically involved with any girl, which makes him slightly nervous around girls. He gets embarrassed around them frequently, not knowing how to really act. He has resolved to get a girlfriend before he hits his twenties, however, and plans to follow through with that promise.
Overall, Jason is a happy-go-lucky warrior with a good heart, with a darker side to the coin that is his personality. But who doesn't have that side?

-Home-cooked meals: They remind him of when his mother cooked for him, before she died
-Comic books: Having always wanted to be a hero, he always idolized the larger than life characters between the pages of comics.
-A good fight: Really gets the blood pumping, a sort of exhilarating fun knowing how one thing can teeter on a single action.
-Rock and Roll: His old martial arts teacher would listen to Rock and Roll all the time, thus making it a more safe haven to listen to when he wants to relax.
-Spending time with friends: While Jason never was a super social person, he always enjoyed spending time with those he cared about, not wanting to waste any, like he did with his mother.
-Weapon Shopping: Jason prefers hand to hand combat, but that does't take away from the fact that looking at cool weapons and testing them out himself isn't a good time.

-Losing a good fight
-Rap: He tends to associate this type of music with gangs, due to the area where he grew up, the troublemakers around him listening to it all the time. He slowly began to resent the genre.
-Looking dumber than he actually is: Jason acts stupid sometimes, because it's usually more fun to be a moron than it is to be a smart-alec. Yet he feels like people judge his brains at a first glance.
-Malice and Evil: He has seen plenty of bad things in the short time he's been around. But a willingness to do something bad just for the sake of doing something bad is his major button. He tries to stop it wherever he can, but he knows that he can only do so much.
