Researching the Divine

After the last few jobs, Kiersa had decided that her knowledge could use a little more expanding... particularly in the fields pertaining to her Avalon armour, and the history of Dragons. If she was going to be any help for Aayla, Cirven and Mary should that Dark Celestial Mage appear again with that Black Dragon Key of hers... then the nun thought she could use every ounce of information she could garner.

And so she had come to Oak Town, widely known throughout Fiore as having one of the largest repositories of knowledge in Earthland. As she went towards one of the libraries, she considered a stray possibility. That since the Black Dragon had been summoned via Celestial Magic, even if it was the Dark variety, then a certain Spirit she had a contract with may be able to help as well. Whilst he persued information in the Celestial plane, she could try to find the knowledge here in the mortal worlds histories.

That and figure out why Avalon only ever did that rain trick of its some of the time as opposed to all the time... She looked down at the ring on her hand that housed the holy armour that was Avalon for a moment before delving into the depths of the library's walls.

"Oak Town..." It had been a few weeks since Arianna discovered that she was a Nephilim, a half breed of an angel and demon. She had to learn more about herself though. The woman that had revealed it to Arianna wasn't telling her much else, and she grew impatient. She had heard that Oak Town could hold what she needed. The temple there was home to what was quite possibly the largest library in the world. If there was anything about her powers, they'd be here.

Pressing through the large doors to the library, the cloaked Arianna had to take a step back as she saw the immense collection of books. "You've gotta be kidding me..." Arianna could only grumble as her shoulders slouched down from the sight. There was no telling where anything on her could be buried. With a huff, she pressed on and began searching for some kind of system that organized the books.

With a quick look around the library to ensure that she wouldn't disturb anyone, the nun collected her silver key and held it in front of her. "Open the Gate of the Southern Cross! Crux!" she called out, quietly in case the librarian took offence to her Summoning. With a loud ding, the Spirit appeared beside her. "Um... Mister Crux sir... i-if y-you don't m-mind... um... c-could you h-help m-me with something?" she began her request. "I-I'm l-looking for i-information on... a B-Black Dragon spirit..." The Cross-headed spirit nodded and closed his eyes, going through his repository of knowledge.

Whilst Crux handled that task, Kiersa began to look around the library as she sought out the organisation system. The Convent had sorted its tomes by topic, but this library seemed to do that system... differently. She looked down on a sheet of paper at the help desk quizzically. "I don't even know what half these words are..." she muttered under her breath as she beheld the bewildering assortment of selections. She looked up at the woman behind the desk tentatively. "Um... s-sorry... b-but um... d-do you kn-know wh-where I c-could find the s-section on umm... r-relic a-armour f-from a-ancient h-history? A-Around the t-time of the D-Dragon War?" asked the nun.

"Take a left at Island Topography, then go straight past the Cooking, Tertiary Physics, and Lacrima Crafting sections, and it should be on your right, next to Biological Mythos section. If you've reached the children's section you've gone too far." she said before Kiersa bowed her head. "Th-Thank you miss." she replied before she began to follow the directions, the Spirit floating beside her, apparently sleeping.
