Jack Pearl: Play Pretend Solo

Jack leaned back in his chair, sipping from a tall glass of pumpkin ale he had ordered. He pulled his latest mission request from his pocket and looked it over.
"Well look at this." He murmured quietly "Looks like I get to be the wonderful boyfriend here." Jack had taken a chance and flipped a coin on which job he would take. It would be a lie to say he was happy about this. Jacks face slowly peeked over the top of the parchment and a menacingly large smile grew. "I hope she's cute. tehe!" Jack said in a very guyish tone. Jack pulled out a long thin cigar, a Don Diego to be exact, and light the end. Before he could take a second puff the bartender hustled over to him. "Put that out! No smoking under my roof!" He scolded. Jack only smiled and lifted his head. "How about this, we flip a coin. Heads I get to enjoy my cigar, tails and I'll get out from under your roof." The bartender was having none of this and demanded again. Jack argued and finally got his way. Reaching into his pocket he pulled out a coin and flipped it. The coin landed tails.
"There see, it's tails. I don't want you under my roof anymore!" The bartender screeched. Jack slid the coin into his pocket. "Well, I'm a man of my word." He said in a confident tone.

Jack stood up and stretched out his arms, cigar still lit in one hand.
"I said get out!" The bartender screamed. Jack, who was by any standard means a patient man, was starting to get annoyed.
"So, you're not going to let me stay under your roof?" He asked again, knowing it would irritate the bartender. The man continued screaming. Jack sat back in his chair and rocked it back onto it's back legs. With amazing timing he fell back and made two hand signs before speaking "Two Layered Magic Circle: Jupiter's Gatz". Two circles appeared and s swarm of light colored bullets shot at the ceiling destroying the portion of the roof right above Jack. Jack caught himself in the falling chair and pushed it back up onto 4 legs. He picked up his cigar and looked at the bartender, whom had a furious and devastated look on his face. "There you go. As you wished, I am no longer under your roof."

Jack could not stop laughing from his little prank. He got up after finishing his cigar and walked his way out of the bar, hopping over the mounds of rubble that blocked his path.
"I got a date." He said, waving his hand as he walked away. Jack walked his way through Clover Town, taking in the sights. Ever so clear in the distance, the guild hall of Blue Pegasus reigned his view. He continued through the streets looking for the restaurant that he was meeting the girl, Hope, at with her parents. "Where could this be?" He asked himself. "Well, I'm early enough, that second mission I took could probably be finished in time." Jack reached into his satchel and pulled out the second mission parchment. He read it over. A large bead of sweat dripped from his brow. He was to escort another girl, Serenity, to dinner with her parents this evening, too. Acting as her boyfriend. Jack raised his head toward the sun and dramatically wiped the sweat, and what was most likely tears, from his cheeks. "Why must I be so damn alluring?" He asked in an ironically humble tone.

Jack, still kneeling in the street holding his dramatic pose, laid his job parchments on the ground and rose to his feet.
"Well, I must say, I wasn't planning on making two girls the luckiest girl in the world today." Jack said, thinking himself somewhat of a god. "I think I could do this. Probably pull it off. Maybe this will work..." Jack started to shack. He knew that although quite smooth and dapper, he became nervous around very several pretty girls. Jack looked at the clock tower in the distance. He was late! He leaped to his feet and ran to the restaurant. He arrived and walked into the restaurant. As the parchment said, she showed a small sign of his magic and created a spell circle in his hand. A girl looked over the podium and ran to him. "Your're here to be my date, right?" She said. "I'm Hope. Thank you so much!" Jack said nothing but grabbed her hand as she led him to the table. "Mom, Dad, this is my boyfriend... uhhh" she stuttered. Jack chimed in "Jack. My names Jack. It's so great to finally meet Hope's parents. She has told me so much."
"Oh really? What might she have told you?" Her mother asked.
Jack swallowed and began to frantically think about how this was going to work.

Jack couldn't think of anything other than "I need to go to the bathroom." Jack leaped to his feet yet again and rushed to the bathroom. Several minutes later he left the bathroom and started walking to the table. He sneezed and a large gust of wind blew a side table over. Suddenly, another girl touched his shoulder. "Hey, you're the wizard right. Great! my parents are over here." She grabbed Jack by the arm and dragged him to her table. "Jack these are my parents Ronny and Georgina." Jack was super nervous. He looked over the heads of the two parents. Hope and her family were sitting at the table just through the window. Jack had little to no idea how he was going to get out of this. He managed to gather up enough moxxi and strength to utter the best introduction phrase he had ever spoke. "I have to pee."

"Okay. OKay, what am I going to do?" He said. Spalshing some water in his face and patting his cheek, Jack thought he was ready. He managed to peek out of the bathroom and see that Serenity and her family were occupied by the server. He walked past the table trying not to be noticed and sat with Hope. Serenity had seen Jack walk by and was worried. She got up and walked over to the table Jack was at. "Why are you here!?" Serenity demanded. Jack just sipped on his water and pointed at Hope. Serenity grabbed jack by the hair and dragged him outside. Hope followed just behind. "What are you doing in there!" "Are you on a date with both of us!?"
Jack just laughed and shook his head. Jack thought back and flipped a coin in the bathroom. Heads he would have finished his date with Serenity, tails, Hope. "To my surprise, it landed on the side. I had to make both happy. So here you go. Both of you can break up with me, and no embarrassment." Jack smiled, turned, and walked away. "Wait!" They both said. Jack turned back to the two girls and recieved two uppercuts to the chin. He flew over the buildings and landed in the city center. He heard as he flew "Thank you, Jack!"
