A quick phone call

Aayla had needed a day to herself... she wouldn't be doing jobs any time soon, not with the injuries she was so slow to recover from. So, Aayla found herself floating aimlessly in the massive fish tank that she kept in her room when she heard the communication lacrima suddenly spring to life. She glanced over at the orb that she kept on her desk and swam up to the end of the tank, raising her head above the water as she leaned over the edge, towards the lacrima.

"Chloe? I'm here is everything ok?"
She wondered as she heard the girls voice. She wondered if maybe something had gone wrong with the other dragon slayer?

"Well I've had better days honestly. I heard a rumor about there being a dragon in the desert so I went to see if maybe it was Hydrianna..."
She said with a sigh as she rested her head down against the wood that lined the tank she was resting in, causing a light splash at the other end of the tank.

"Well... it wasn't her..."
She muttered sadly as she looked once more towards the orb sitting on her desk. It was strange to her to be able to talk to someone so far away through such a silly device...

"How about you..? What about your day?

"Well, that's sad." Chloe said wanting to show her sympathy but was only able to get it in her voice because she was talking on the lacrima. It was amazing what lacrima can do, she can speak with her sister from miles away, only by talking into a ball. Chloe smiled and started talking. "Well I had to do a really interesting job." Chloe said as she continued to talk, "Me and a friend of mine had to babysit a really mean boy. Now im covered in an unknown substance threw on me." Chloe said as she remembred how nice he was when he fell asleep.

The part she didn't tell Chloe about, was that she had been dragged to the Celestial world by a dark wizard, ripped apart by poisonous zombie dogs, a crazy agry girl with no eyes and a black dragon... She curled up into herself slightly, wanting nothing more than to sink back into the water. It was soothing on her cuts and stitches to be here... but she really just wanted to curl up next to Hydrianna... as she had before... She bit her lower lip and took a deep breath before Chloe's words sank into her mind, having created a small awkward moment on the lacrima before replying.

"I don't miss doing those kinds of jobs... it's nice to see everyone smiling when you've done such a small thing for them but... I feel like... I have to do these harder jobs... I have to learn to protect everyone..."
Her voice had begun to trail off and get lower as she brought her hand up to her eyes, just resting there as if that would stop her frm getting emotional.

Chloe smiled at her response and began to speak again. "The boy stole my sword once i found him. He was assaulting me with it." Chloe said remembering her utter confusion and lack of an idea of what to do. "I had to try my hardest to not hurt him but defend myself. Hydrias is a deadly blade and it was using the boy." Chloe said looking over at the sheathed blade on her desk and remembering what it was capable of. Chloe turned her mind from those thoughts and focused back on the lacrima, "Well you can't do those kinda jobs forever, because if you do, the other jobs won't get done." Chloe said more cheery before saying, "So how is Sabertooth?" Chloe said happily.

"That's dangerous... why do you need a sword anyways?"
She asked curiously, now finally forcing herself to swim to the opposit side of the tank and slowly get out. She grabbed the towel that was hanging off of the steps and wiped at her face as she moved over to the dresser. She picked out some dry clothes as she continued to dry herself off and talk to Chloe.

"Sabertooth is great. I love every minute I spend with everyone here. Everyone's been working so hard lately though, so the guild hall has been pretty quiet... What about Fairy Tail? I haven't heard much about them.."
She said lightly, as she began to put on some dry clothing that fit loosely to her body. She didn't want any of it to rub against her stitches after-all. She still thought it was such a strange concept... for her to even need stitches... As fast as they were healing, it was still annoying...

"I'm starting to think all the guilds aren't that different deep down"
She said softly as she buttoned up the baby blue jacket. She sat back down on her bed finally, pulling the lacrima onto her lap.

"Maybe I could meet fairy tail sometime... And you could come and meet sabertooth too. There's a lot of interesting people here you could meet."
She suggested, lying back and laying the lacrima down beside her.

"Then why don't you get cleaned up... you know, I could use a little bit of a vacation from here... why don't I go over to Magnolia... and we can go out for some ice cream? You can introduce me to some of your friends if you wanted. And I promise I wont do anything that'll hurt your arms..."
She said softly, remembering the accident that happeed the first time they met. She had absolutely no idea then what to do about Chloe's situation, or how to even react to it.

She hadn't expected Chloe to get that excited over the idea of having her go over. Of course, she expected her to be happy but to offer her to stay over at her house, she couldn't let herself be such a burden to her friend.

"W... well I'd love to... stay over but I don't know... Z...Zinnath might get hunted outside at night if... if people don't know her... and she's very big so... she might not be able to... to come inside..."
She said softly, glancing out the window as if expecting her friend to be there. She gave a light sigh before standing up and replacing the lacrima onto the dresser.

"But I can still visit... w..where would you like me to meet you?"

"O...Okay... If Zinnath is okay with it... then I guess it's ok..."
She said softly before putting her hand on the lacrima.

"I"m hanging up now. I'll be there soon okay?"
She stated, waiting for her response before deactivating the lacrima and stepping out of her room, slowly making her way outside with a light limp in her step as she moved. She still hadn't fully recovered from her encounter with the kind of black dragons... but she was tired of beeing cooped up all day...

Chloe smiled and said, "See ya here. She said as she got some clothes on and headed outside with Gwen, ready to wait all night at the guild hall.
