Personality:
- Za'cha Personality:
- Za’cha is an uncomplicated person, or likes to believe himself to be one. His desires are simple really. A quiet life, a library of good books, maybe a small garden just for the flowers, and the skull of a dragon to serve as his throne whilst using one of their fangs as his drinking cup. Ever since he had heard about Dragon Slayers and their powers, he studied up on them, scouring every passage he could on them. They wielded astounding powers, powers that rendered them nigh inhuman and monstrous. What kind of power would it take to bring down a Dragon Slayer he wondered… and thus began his experiments with weapons and armour, a singular goal to bring down a Slayer, these metaphorical titans in the magical world.
Of course, in his studies to find the right metals and spells, he came into possession of a black coloured key. Ever the researcher, Za’cha dug into the tomes on keys until he found what he was looking for. Celestial magic. The wizard considered what he held and then grinned. Celestial magic may very well be able to smite Dragon Slayers. For what force on earth, can stand against the powers of the stars themselves? Of course it went a little wrong as he did not possess the right power to summon forth the entity bound to the black key, but nor did he have the right power to dismiss it either… and so Pride came to possess his being and the two have been stuck together ever since.
Outside of battle Za’cha can be quite a gentleman, when he feels like it. He is also quite sarcastic, and can sometimes find himself being quite easily irritated… although whether that was a trait before or after having a Dark Celestial Spirit start rooming in his skull is up for debate. Oddly enough, he does hold himself to a code of conduct.
If he signs up to a job, he will do it to the letter. Collateral damage is something he tries to eschew, seeing it as pointless and a waste of time. Likewise with the clichéd route of holding hostages or threatening innocent bystanders and such. Those sorts of actions just bore him for the most part. Likes to consider himself quite the philosopher, and likes to assign nicknames to people he has to work with, especially if its repeat performances. Just a tad eccentric.
In combat however, is a different story. Depending on the enemy, he can either be quite… eccentricly reckless, or quite serious. But always whenever he sees the chance to, he will try to play mind-games with his opponent. He favours a one on one combat style, as it feels more personal. More challenging, more of a test of his creations.
Under a leader he’ll do as he’s told… relatively speaking. Depending on the rank and power of whoevers in charge will determine how well he behaves. If he sees a quicker way of accomplishing the mission at hand, he’ll go right for it, despite it maybe being against his orders.
As a leader, he couldn’t care less. He just lets them go about their business, so long as they don’t create collateral damage, unless that’s the mission for some reason.
- Pride Personality:
- Almost as old as the dawn of man itself, this Dark Celestial Spirit has had much to reflect on, having witnessed many an atrocity, many a war, and quite a few million deaths. The idea of death as a goal to him seems quite laughable. It wasn’t until his Dark Key was created that he truly took an interest in the affairs of mortal men and women, viewing them as little more than insects compared to the gestalt power that was his to command. For Pride, in any shape or form, is his fuel, is his energy, is his essence.
The feeling of pride as you take your first steps in the world, the pride of your first word and being able to be understood, the pride of innocent accomplishments… the pride you feel as you craft an exquisite new piece, be it martial, artistic or otherwise. Pride as your works reach global acclaim. Pride that you are one of the greatest in your craft. Pride that you have achieved great power. Pride in subjugating those that stand against you. Pride at proving you’re the best in a simple magic duel. Pride in victory. Pride in success.
It is quite an insidious emotion… it is good until it is bad. Even the most vaunted heroes are not immune to his touch. Paragons of light, justice and purity… they too feel the yoke and collar of pride sneaking around them, his chains wrapping tighter around them. For Pride can worm its way into even the most noble of hearts.
Outside of battle, Pride is always monitoring the situation around his host, since he has no desire for the flesh he inhabits to be destroyed, which in turn would see him either locked within his Key or banished back to the Pit. He is of course prideful, which is a given since he is the physical spiritual embodiment of pride itself.
He tends to question those in higher power stations than his host, and those below him, and those of equal rank. When someone catches his interest however, he likes to set little tests, to see how far they are able to go, to see how far they will strive, to see how far their limits can be pushed, and if possible, broken.
There is a reason for this of course. By setting these tests and them accomplishing them, they fuel him further. The greater the challenge, the more pride someone feels once they conquer it, and the more nourishment and power he receives as a result.
Under a leader, Pride would grudgingly follow the orders given, assuming he's ever actually in control during such a scenario. He would of course offer his own suggestions, or just outright follow his own plan of attack if he views the “leaders” plan as inferior and incorrect.
As a leader however, he analyses each and every combatant before making them move according to his plan, like pieces on a chessboard. Every move is calculated, even if that means his pieces fall. For in the game of chess, pawns are expendable so long as the enemy king is captured.
Likes:
- Za'cha Likes:
- A good book. One of the few pleasures he takes is a well written novel. It's one of the few things he and Pride can actually agree on.
- Philosophical mind-games. Half the battle is won with strength of arms and power... the other half is in the mind. The will to fight, the drive to achieve victory... twist your enemies views of right and wrong, and you gain the upper hand.
- Playing chess. A game of intellect and strategy that goes back thousands of years, and has hardly changed since its inception.
- An exciting battle. It allows him to push his creations to their absolute limit.

- Seeing Celestial Spirits being corrupted, and in their corrupted states.
- Proving his superiority over his enemies. Nothing better than reminding others that you are far greater than they are now is there?

Dislikes:
- Za'cha Dislikes:
- Having to share his body with Pride. Especially when the bastard doesn't give him any warning when he's going to take over.
- Fighting little girls. Its one of the few things he holds to principle. If forced to do so however, he'd try to make it as quick and painless as possible.
- People trying to take his stuff. He worked hard on his Ex-Quip gear, and isn't about to let someone else take it.
- Cliche's. If its been once, its been done to death and honestly is just boring.
- Mispronouncing his name. If there is one thing guarenteed to annoy him, it is someone mispronouncing his name... especially if its intentionally done.
- Being mistaken for a girl. Not his fault he looks kinda effeminate!
- Having to share his body with Pride. Especially when the bastard doesn't give him any warning when he's going to take over.
- Pride Dislikes:
- Scientists. Simply because they dared to create someone to control and use him. The sheer arrogance...
- Celestial Spirits. He's a Dark Celestial Spirit, what else is there to explain?
- Humility. It is the antithesis to his own being. Humbleness, humility, bah!
- Sharing a body with a mortal human. Not only is it degrading, it also is quite limiting in what he himself can actually do, having to instead work through the medium that is his hosts own powers and flesh.
- Scientists. Simply because they dared to create someone to control and use him. The sheer arrogance...
Motivations:
- Za'cha Motivations:
- To figure out a way of getting Pride out of his body. The sooner he has his own body back to himself again, the better.
- To take down those aligned with the Light. Particularly Dragon Slayers.
- To prove the power of his Ex-Quip magic to the world.
- To figure out a way of getting Pride out of his body. The sooner he has his own body back to himself again, the better.
- Pride Motivations:
- To gain enough magical power that he is able to exist in the physical world without needing a host, and ultimately, without the need for a Key.
- To dominate and control the Spiritual and Physical worlds.
- To see how far the scientists Experiment can go
- To gain enough magical power that he is able to exist in the physical world without needing a host, and ultimately, without the need for a Key.
Fears:
- Za'cha Fears:
- Death. Cus he's got even odds that if he were to die, then he'd be stuck for eternity in the nether realm with Pride. Stuck with him in the living world is bad enough, but the afterlife as well?
- Dragons. A dragon is the reason for the scar down his back, and so he's got a well founded reason for it.
- Heights. If he's in the air or high up, not under his own power mind you, then he starts getting nervous... mainly about the "inevitable" drop.
- Death. Cus he's got even odds that if he were to die, then he'd be stuck for eternity in the nether realm with Pride. Stuck with him in the living world is bad enough, but the afterlife as well?
- Pride Fears:
- The destruction of his Key. Without the Key he'd wind up trapped within the nether realms.
- Lust. Out of all the Seven Sins, Lust is the only one that Pride actually has concerns for. Lust is almost as insidious as Pride, and is very close to him in power level... That and the fact that she is even better than he at word games makes him scared.
- The Celestial Spirit King. The Zodiac keys he holds no fear of, but is extremely wary of the one that commands them all. The Spirit King is the oldest and most powerful of the Spirits, and is akin to a god in his own right. Only a fool would not be scared of such power unprepared.
- The destruction of his Key. Without the Key he'd wind up trapped within the nether realms.
