Job Title: The Fun House
Rank: B
Player Requirements: Eclipse Soul Guild Mission (Kiba Required)
Job Requirements: Go through three encounters with monster rolls of at least 2 dice. Posts are 225 words long. 20 posts. You may wind up with more if you have fun.
Job Location: Phoenix Mountains
Job Description: Zeno is growing suspicious of the appearance of a carnival a couple miles north of the village. People have been coming to this carnival of sorts. The strange thing is that there are just as many people coming into the carnival tents as there are coming out. However, as soon as everyone reaches the village, they go missing. There seems to be a monk in the temples acting pretty strange. He frequents the carnival every day since the carnival has shown up. Zeno knows that there is a fun house there that requires team work to make it through some obstacles.
OOC Information: Your first encounter is immediate upon arriving to the carnival. There will only be one tent open labeled “The Fun House.” You’re going to get separated and you have to trust each other that you’re going to make it through a mirror maze. You can hear each other so be sure to root each person on. The mirror maze will bring out all of your fears in the reflections. If you have specific fear of someone, something, or animals, they will crawl out of the mirrors. That will be your second encounter. You don’t have to fight them because you can’t hit the monsters. Once you make it through the mirror maze you’re going to wind up going down some pretty steep slides to the final room. What you find in there is up to you. Either way you and your other teammate are going to have to trust each other. At the very end you will find the monk there. After you are done with this mission Kiba will report to Kyll to explain what he learned.
Enemies: Enemies are sorted by encounter
Weak:
First Encounter: Kid with a balloon x2. Be careful these kids are actually human. Please make sure to get them to pass out. If they team up on you, you’re down for the count.
Second Encounter: First Fear listed in your character chart
Third Encounter: Spectre x3. These are COMPLETELY made from magic. Anything cancelling magic can take these spectres out in one shot. The cannot be hit by magic or physical attacks. All they do is cause confusion. One touch from a spectre will make you confuse your friends for foes.
Normal:
First Encounter: Normal Villager x2. Same for these guys. They carry knives and will cut. Do not kill them. Knock em out.
Second Encounter: Second fear listed in your character chart
Third Encounter: Clowns x2. These clowns are actually pretty blood thirsty. They’re spray bottles carry acid. So be careful of being sprayed. Something seems very familiar about these clowns. They are actually the villagers that came to the carnival and disappeared. What are they guarding? If you cancel the magic that has been placed on them, you may get an answer.
Strong:
First Encounter: Kid with balloon x3 and 1 Villager. No description needed; see weak and normal mosters.
Second Encounter: Third fear on character chart. This fear is to be very large and two times worse than your character woud expect.
Third Encounter: Clowns x4. See Normal Monster.
Boss:
First Encounter: Kids with Balloons x5 Villagers x5
Second Encounter: All fears on your character chart together
Third Encounter: Clowns x2 and Suspicious Monk: You can specifically request to go up against this monk if you would like to. The Clowns are actually fellow monks. So they know their way around a couple punches and kicks.
The Suspicious Monk is a well trained martial artist and only carries a shielding charm around his neck. The Charm prevents the effects of dispelling any of his puppetry magic. That’s right guys, you’re dealing with a puppet master. Was he really a monk to begin with? Did he just go rogue? No one knows. To take him down you will need a total of 3 A rank hits. The Monk has a trick up his sleeve though. He can summon spectres all around you. 5 at a time to be exact. Leading into his signature spell:
Five of Pentacles: The Suspicious Monk summons forth 5 spectres from the Arcane Realm. They surround an opponent and then crash into him or her causing confusion. Which means if you don’t look out, you two will be fighting against one another. The move is rather easy to dodge, if you time the jump right.
If that doesn’t help any, when you have him down to just 1B rank hit, he will use one of you as a human shield. Leaving a very minimal amount of his body open.
Rewards: Kiba’s C rank Exam and simple understanding of how the guild works as a team. Both members will recieve 10,000k jewel. 35 extra exp for fighting the boss.
