To Earthland... and Beyond (Job: Malm) Empty To Earthland... and Beyond (Job: Malm)

It was a nice sunny day in Hargeon Port, which was good as Malm had to get his Passport today. As he waited in line, he found himself wishing he would be able to look around the port. Yet that would sadly have to wait for another day as Malm had business he needed to take care of as soon as possible. So that unfortunately meant he'll have to explore the city another day.

Malm yawned as he took the opportunity to look at all the people in the line in front of him. It looked like a pretty chaotic pack, and has been so for the past hour or so that Malm has been standing in it. At least it seemed to be moving fast. The line had reduced much in size since he arrived, and he could now see the door to the passport office in the distance. It shouldn't be long now.

What has it been now? Two hours? Three? He honestly couldn't tell as he had finally reached the door to the passport office. Malm honestly never knew how exhausting it was just waiting in line. Well... It shouldn't be much longer now.

That thought was quickly halted as he entered the building. The whole room seemed to be just filled to the brim with tons of people. It was difficult for Malm to see where the line actually was anymore, and instead tried to focus on just following the person that was in front of him. That wasn't much easier however as once Malm's attention was pulled onto something else, the man just seemed to vanish into the crowd.

Malm gulped as he tried his best to continue following what he believed to be the line. Hearing no complaints from anyone, he guessed he was doing just fine. That was until he found his feet leaving the ground as someone pick him up by the scuff of his shirt.

"What do you think your doing kid?" A burly man's voice asked.

"I'm just waiting in line to get my passport sir." Malm said in a frightened voice, not understanding why this man had just picked him up.

"Then why did you just cut in front of me?"

"I... I did. I'm sorry sir. I didn't mean to." After Malm said this, he found himself being toss behind the man. He picked himself off the floor and rubbed the back of his head as he finally got a good luck at the man who had just picked him up. Definitely didn't seem to be the type Malm wanted to mess with.

Other then that one incident, nothing else of note really happened. It felt like another hour or two had passed when Malm had finally reached the front of the line. Malm felt completely exhausted and defeated, both physically and mentally. Yet soon all this waiting will finally pay off. One of the woman behind that counter called out next, and Malm walked up to her.

"Ello sir. Could you please fill out this form?" She asked, obviously tired and not interested in her job at all as she slid a piece of paper across the counter.

"Uhh... Sure." Malm quickly looked through the form and filled it out with a pen that seemed to be magically connected to the counter. It didn't take him long as it was only requesting very basic information like his name and occupation. As he passed it back, the woman looked it over, then back at him.

"For occupation you filled out that your a wizard, but you didn't specify the guild your a part of."

"Well I'm currently not a part of any guild at the moment." Malm admitted to her.

"Is that so. Well that means your passport will cost you 5000 jewels." She told him. Malm nodded understandingly as he handed her the money. "Thank you sir. Now I need you to look at the 'X' over on your left and so we can get this over with."

Malm did so, and soon found himself blinded by a flash of light. He shook his head in an attempt to recover from the sudden flash, trying to figure out what it was. He didn't seem to get much of a chance as the woman went to pick something up from underneath the counter and hand it to him. It was Malm's passport with a small picture to the side in order to confirm his identity.

"Could you please move along sir? We are pretty busy today." The woman said as she waved him to go.

"Oh yeah. Sorry about that." Jimmy told her as he headed off towards the a side door specifically meant for people to leave from. Behind him, he could here the woman call our for the next person in line. He was surprised to find how low the sun was towards the ground now from since he last saw it.

"It's getting late. I guess I should probably look at finding somewhere to get some food at and a place to stay for the night." He said to himself in a low whisper as he walked off back towards the town.
