Take Care of my Baby! [Vivian's first mission]

Job:

"Why did you have to choose such a boring mission?" Vi whined as Vivian made her way through the streets of early evening Magnolia Town. "No fighting! Not even a chance of fighting! This is going to be such a boring night!"
"Vi, s-stop it." Vivian sighed. She had known Vi would fight against this mission from the moment she saw it, and yet this was the only mission she really felt comfortable taking at the moment. "W-we don't have enough p-Pacts to fight anybody, and-"
"Pacts, shmacts!" Vi groaned. "I'd bite people to death if I have to!" There was a moment of silence before she continued. "Ugh. Words cannot describe how annoyed I am right now."
Vivian ignored her continued ranting, choosing instead to admire the city. Magnolia was called the City of Festivals, and for good reason; everybody she had seen so far was in good cheer, and there were bright colors everywhere. It was a fabulous city overall; Vivian wished she could live here, instead of on the industrially focused Noximus.
After a bit more walking, Vivian eventually picked out the house she was supposed to be sitting at: A typical middle-class house, with two stories and average size. Walking up to it, Vivian pressed the doorbell lightly, putting on her sweetest face in order to make a good impression on her clients.

Vivian didn't really know what to expect as she rang the doorbell. The pamphlet had left no clues as to what the parents were like, either in physical appearance or personality, so she had no idea who was going to answer the door.
Even so, a horned demon opening the front door wasn't something Vivian had even considered.
Vivian cried out, jumping back a little, then immediately realized that she had insulted what was likely her client. Bowing deeply, she stammered, "I-I'm sorry! I j-just-"
"Wasn't expecting a demon?" The devil said with a deep, hearty voice before chuckling. "I get that a lot. My wife and I moved here from Galuna Island a few months ago, and we've been having trouble fitting in, for obvious reasons. We had to turn to a Wizard Guild to babysit for us since none of the neighbors are willing to do it."
"S-so when the flier said it was a d-demon baby, you actually m-meant it?" Vivian asked.
"Yes, we did," the father-demon replied, laughing heartily. "Glad you caught that; my wife and I thought it was clever. Now come inside, let's get you acquainted with Baby Beel," he said, motioning for Vivian to go inside.
"Maybe this will be fun after all," Vi mused as Vivian walked inside.

Vivian followed the father-devil in cautiously, looking around. The house was normal enough; there were a few odd heirloom-looking objects hung on walls, but it seemed like a normal house other wise. The father-devil led Vivian through a few rooms - a kitchen and a living room - before arriving in the baby's room, where a small, green-haired baby lay fast asleep. "This is Baby Beel, short for Beelzebub," the father-devil told Vivian. "He should stay asleep for the whole time we're out; you're just a precaution. If he wakes up, there's baby food in the kitchen. Heat it up a bit and give it to him; he loves his food hot. He shouldn't mess his diaper; if he does, call us, and we can give you instructions, since it's a bit specific. Did you get that?"
Vivian nodded. "Y-yes, I did," she said quietly. "Feed him w-warm food, and call you if he m-messes his diaper. S-simple enough."
The father-devil smiled. "Great! I'm going to go join my wife at the restaurant now; let us know if anything comes up." He walked out of the door, stopping in the doorway for a second. "If anything happens to Beel, though...Well, you won't like me when I'm angry." He continued out the room; the sound of the door opening and closing let Vivian know that he had left. She let out a sigh of relief; this was not exactly what she had expected, but it seemed like everything was going to turn out all right. She pulled out the book she was currently reading about Fire Magic, sat in the chair next to Baby Beel's crib, and relaxed.

It had been about an hour when Vivian began to hear soft whining sounds from the crib. Placing her bookmark in her book and putting the book aside, Vivian got up and looked into the crib. Baby Beel was crying softly, much more quietly than Vivian would have expected a demon baby to be. "I g-guess somebody's hungry," she said quietly as she reached down and gingerly picked up the baby, making sure not to poke herself on the tiny horns. She carried him into the kitchen, where she placed him into a high-chair at the table; she then began combing the cabinets of the kitchen, looking for that baby food the father-devil had mentioned. She found the various jars after a few minutes, picking out one labeled 'Peas and Carrots'. After removing the lid and heating it up for 20 seconds in the microwave, she placed it on the table and pulled a spoon out from one of the various drawers. 
"Ready for s-some food?" She asked Baby Beel softly, aiming a spoonful of the stuff towards the baby's mouth. He accepted it with a wide mouth, eating the food with no issue. "Wow, y-you're a well-behaved baby," Vivian muttered, grabbing more spoonfuls and feeding them to the baby as well. Soon, the jar was empty, and the baby had stopped crying. Vivian took a napkin to the baby's face, wiping off the smudges of baby food that were left; the baby struggled a bit, but did not throw a tantrum. Withing the next few minutes, the baby was in bed, and Vivian was back to reading her book.

It was about half an hour later when Vivian heard the front door open. She closed her book and placed it inside her bag, smiling; this had been a much more relaxing mission that she had initially thought. Vi had complained, of course, but she was always complaining about something, so that didn't count. She walked over to the front hall in order to greet her benefactors.

"Ah, you're here," the father-demon said to Vivian as another, more feminine-looking demon (she must have been the mother) closed the door behind you. "We had a bet about whether or not you would stay the whole time."
"R-really?" Vivian remarked, surprised. "You d-don't trust me?"
The father-demon smiled. "Well, it IS the first time we've ever met. We had no idea what to expect." After a second, he continued. "How was Beel?"
Now it was Vivian's turn to smile. "Oh, he was w-wonderful. Very agreeable, and d-didn't cry at all."
"Wonderful!" The father-demon exclaimed, throwing his hands outwards for emphasis. "Thank you so much for your work! Let me get your reward." He dug through his pockets before pulling out an average-looking wallet, and subsequently pulled out a handful of jewels. "It's not much for a wizard like yourself," the father-demon said, "but it's all we can manage at the moment."
"D-don't worry about it!" Vivian exclaimed, gratefully taking the jewels out of the demon's palm. "I-I'm only a novice w-wizard, anyway."
The father demon looked at her with curious eyes. "Well, if that's the case, we have somebody you might want to meet. Our good friend, the one who got us this house here, is a wizard who lives in Clover; why don't you pay him a visit?"
"I'll d-do that!" Vivian replied happily, moving to stand in the entrance. "N-now, though, I have to g-go. I'll s-see you around!"
"We'll let our friend know you're coming! Take care!" The father-demon replied as Vivian shut the door and let out a sigh of relief. "That was fun, but nerve-wracking," she thought as she began to make her way down the path.
"What do you mean, 'nerve-wracking'?" Vi said irritably. "We barely did anything!"
"Well, maybe I actually want to take care of the baby and make sure that he's safe!" Vivian thought back angrily. The pair continued to mentally argue as they made their way down the street, their first job accomplished.
