'You're dead!! You're supposed to be dead!!'
While shouting out in fear, Dominic Greer was crawling backwards until he hit a small brick wall. That would cut off any chance of escape, well not that he'd actually had one. Because in front of him stood a darkly cloaked figure that could only bare one thing in mind, and that was nothing more then malice.
'You should know better then to believe a mere rumor. Especially you, Dominic Greer Head of Intelligence' replied a cold voice devoid of any emotion whatsoever, a voice that would give any mortal being the chills.
'That's all behind me now! I live an honest life, trading in nothing more then potions and other goods.. I..' Before Greer could even finish his sentence Frederick had already interrupted the man, after all he knew that every word this man spew out of his mouth was nothing more then a blunt lie. He knew that, not because he used to serve with this man under the Lichborne but also because he tracked him down through the criminal underworld of Fiore, were it was revealed the ugly business this man dealt in.
'Honest life!! Hah! You used to lie better then that Greer! I've been watching you around here! Dealing in human trafficking, sending young potential mages to foreign countries so that they can act as slave soldiers to private armies!'
After hearing that Frederick already knew everything about him, Greer entire posture and attitude changed. Instead of cowering in fear he started to bite back.
'Oh is that so? And what to it huh? It's not that I..or you haven't done worse! So don't go and pretend you are to uphold some sense of sick justice! Because we both know that you are the least of all people to judge someone on their crimes!'
'Judge you? I think you are hugely mistaken Greer! I am not here to cast justice upon you.. in fact I couldn't care less about the children you ship off to Bosco. No I am just here to tie up loose ends... oh and to collect something.' Replied Frederick in his cold voice. Without even the slightest hint of anger or satisfaction in it. Which was probably to most eerie part of Frederick, the fact that it was all nothing but normal to him.
'Something that you'd probably still carry with you..'
'What.. you can't mean. It's nothing more but a token.. a trophy. It has not value at all!.. Wait no.. go away!!'
As Dominic Greer spoke his last words Frederick slowly started to approach him and firmly gripped the man's chest with his right hand.
'No stop! HELLP!!'
'You're a pest to this world Greer... always have been. A lowlife scum and a coward...'
With that as his last statement Frederick started to drain the man's very being, his very essence that kept him alive. It was a cruel fate, but it left no physical evidence. No entry points like blades and daggers did. No weals around the neck as choking did. Not it left almost nothing physical, except the man's skin tone. A grayish cold color that corpses sometimes had.
After Frederick was done, Greer's now lifeless body laid against the brick wall as a linen doll. His eyes staring into nothingness and his arms dangling next to him until the hand hit the ground. Frederick himself now released his grip from the man's chest and moved his hand under Greer's jacket. Where he fondled around till he found an inner pocket. There he reached around till his fingers felt the form of what seems to be the a cord.
He'd let his fingers slide all the way down the cord till he felt a small figure attached to it, knowing that this was probably the thing he was looking for he gently and softly pulled it out of Greer's pocket. Once out Frederick stood up and let the necklace dangle in front of his face. Revealing a horse head pendant with wings.
'Tch, They'd always had such a bad taste... Blue Pegasus.'
Frederick grabbed the pendant with his other hand and let it fondle between his fingers, until he suddenly noticed something on the pendant. It was rather thick, way to thick to be just a mere guild emblem. As he inspected the pendant's side he saw that there were two very small hinges attached to it. Without a second thought he clicked it open, curious to see what the insides were. However what he saw was not something that Frederick actually expected. While it was a very common thing.
Once opened Frederick was kinda shocked, in it was a small picture of a blond girl with big pretty green eyes. And a warm and soft smile. Next it it were formal letters engraved, that formed two names. Sebastian Dime & Fiora Child Forever Pegasi together
Actually scared by being faced of the horrible truth of his own consequences Frederick slammed the pendant shut. And quickly put it in a satchel that was hidden under his cloak.
'..Tch..'
