'You're dead!! You're supposed to be dead!!'

While shouting out in fear, Dominic Greer was crawling backwards until he hit a small brick wall. That would cut off any chance of escape, well not that he'd actually had one. Because in front of him stood a darkly cloaked figure that could only bare one thing in mind, and that was nothing more then malice.

'You should know better then to believe a mere rumor. Especially you, Dominic Greer Head of Intelligence' replied a cold voice devoid of any emotion whatsoever, a voice that would give any mortal being the chills.

'That's all behind me now! I live an honest life, trading in nothing more then potions and other goods.. I..' Before Greer could even finish his sentence Frederick had already interrupted the man, after all he knew that every word this man spew out of his mouth was nothing more then a blunt lie. He knew that, not because he used to serve with this man under the Lichborne but also because he tracked him down through the criminal underworld of Fiore, were it was revealed the ugly business this man dealt in.

'Honest life!! Hah! You used to lie better then that Greer! I've been watching you around here! Dealing in human trafficking, sending young potential mages to foreign countries so that they can act as slave soldiers to private armies!'

After hearing that Frederick already knew everything about him, Greer entire posture and attitude changed. Instead of cowering in fear he started to bite back.

'Oh is that so? And what to it huh? It's not that I..or you haven't done worse! So don't go and pretend you are to uphold some sense of sick justice! Because we both know that you are the least of all people to judge someone on their crimes!'

'Judge you? I think you are hugely mistaken Greer! I am not here to cast justice upon you.. in fact I couldn't care less about the children you ship off to Bosco. No I am just here to tie up loose ends... oh and to collect something.' Replied Frederick in his cold voice. Without even the slightest hint of anger or satisfaction in it. Which was probably to most eerie part of Frederick, the fact that it was all nothing but normal to him.
'Something that you'd probably still carry with you..'

'What.. you can't mean. It's nothing more but a token.. a trophy. It has not value at all!.. Wait no.. go away!!'

As Dominic Greer spoke his last words Frederick slowly started to approach him and firmly gripped the man's chest with his right hand.

    'No stop! HELLP!!'

'You're a pest to this world Greer... always have been. A lowlife scum and a coward...'

With that as his last statement Frederick started to drain the man's very being, his very essence that kept him alive. It was a cruel fate, but it left no physical evidence. No entry points like blades and daggers did. No weals around the neck as choking did. Not it left almost nothing physical, except the man's skin tone. A grayish cold color that corpses sometimes had.

After Frederick was done, Greer's now lifeless body laid against the brick wall as a linen doll. His eyes staring into nothingness and his arms dangling next to him until the hand hit the ground. Frederick himself now released his grip from the man's chest and moved his hand under Greer's jacket. Where he fondled around till he found an inner pocket. There he reached around till his fingers felt the form of what seems to be the a cord.
He'd let his fingers slide all the way down the cord till he felt a small figure attached to it, knowing that this was probably the thing he was looking for he gently and softly pulled it out of Greer's pocket. Once out Frederick stood up and let the necklace dangle in front of his face. Revealing a horse head pendant with wings.

'Tch, They'd always had such a bad taste... Blue Pegasus.'

Frederick grabbed the pendant with his other hand and let it fondle between his fingers, until he suddenly noticed something on the pendant. It was rather thick, way to thick to be just a mere guild emblem. As he inspected the pendant's side he saw that there were two very small hinges attached to it. Without a second thought he clicked it open, curious to see what the insides were. However what he saw was not something that Frederick actually expected. While it was a very common thing.

Once opened Frederick was kinda shocked, in it was a small picture of a blond girl with big pretty green eyes. And a warm and soft smile. Next it it were formal letters engraved, that formed two names. Sebastian Dime & Fiora Child Forever Pegasi together
Actually scared by being faced of the horrible truth of his own consequences Frederick slammed the pendant shut. And quickly put it in a satchel that was hidden under his cloak.

    '..Tch..'

While Frederick gave one more glare at Dominic's now lifeless and cold body he heard several footsteps walking his way. And as he rushingly turned his head towards the sound he saw one big silhouette appear in the distance.
Yet while Frederick watched it, he realized it wasn't one person, but two. A young couple that romantically walked through the park. It just looked big because of the young girl that clamped herself around her lover's arm and tightly pusher her own body against him.

Knowing that being seen might be a huge inconvenience for him Frederick immediately disappeared, by merging with the darkness of the night itself. In truth he just transported himself away from this location, leaving nothing more then a vague black mist on where he originally was standing. Just far enough so that he could throw one last glare at were he just stood, without being noticed by the two.
And apparently just in time, as the young girl let out a scream that was followed be an 'OH MY GOD'

Frederick knew that moment that it was his que to leave Talonia, even if it was a city of guildless mages is still didn't mean that it hadn't any governing law or police force.
Once more he disappeared into nothingness leaving nothing more then the same black mist for a while. This time he transported himself just outside the park and into the streets of Talonia.

Yet even if he was outside the park now he still didn't knew what he was going to next, sure he had found Greer through the information he gained from several intelligence brokers. But still it was nothing more but mere luck and stupidity that he found about Greer. Luck that Frederick found the right broker, and stupidity that Greer used one of his old contacts to do his business with.
With a sigh he stepped into the night crowd Talonia, mages and people that moved themselves between the shady peddles and taverns the town had to offer. Knowing that he had to find a way to locate these former colleagues of his.

It was then that Frederick's ear caught something, not for from him at a small kiosk a salesmen and a customer were heavily discussing something rather eerie. Something that jogged Frederick's memory of something, or rather someone.

'Another killing in Crocus! Can you believe it! Even the capital is starting to become dangerous'
'So? They're probably exaggerating, I mean it is the Crocus Chrionicle after all that is covering that story. They always make their own problems bigger then it probably is'
'But still... he carves out their eyes man. And leaves them with gold replicas. Not to mention how he mutilates the rest of their bodies! I tell you, those capital folks are crazy!'

Gold, eyes, it couldn't be. Frederick knew this. Without a second thought he grabbed a paper from the stand and threw a couple of jewels onto the kiosk booth and immediately walked away into the crowd again. All while he observed the paper's headline. 'Killer Strikes again, City in Shock!' followed by a horrifying picture of a young lady. Well only her head was shown, the rest of the body was covered up by a blanket. Probably so mutilated that it couldn't be shown to the public. Yet Frederick recognized this right away, those golden orbs where the eyes were supposed to be. The mouth that was open as if the woman was still in despair. No he knew this handy work.

Frederick stopped in his tracks and let the newspaper slide out of his hands and onto the ground. He had realized what his next goal was, where he had to go next. He turned around and started walking in the opposite direction of the crowd. With a slowly pace that steadily increased until he was walking rather fast paced.
And as the camera shot moved up from him to show an overview of the crowd, it revealed Talonia's train station.
