Job: Raid the Farmlands! [Private/Daichi and Kaseki]

As Daichi approached his destination point he was greeted by a slate grey sky as the morning sunrise began divulging, exposing the balmy rays of light. Unison Raid between the illuminating beams of sunshine combined with the darkness trail left by the absconding moon and composed a bundle of rainbow colours in the sky as their luminous glows warmed up Daichi's eyes. The lingering, acute grass was scraping against Daichi's feet like frosty daggers. The expanse, plain land seemed so bromidic and austere, immediately throwing Daichi into boredom.

Daichi carried on walking through the razor grass, placing his left hand on the handle of his blade which made his habit emerge into people's eyes. "Sunny day for some bloody shows at the farmlands," Daichi thought as he smirked and continued, "Who am I playing - I can't stand the bright, illuminating ball of fire." He began to slow down until eventually he stopped completely and observed the surroundings, waiting for his new partner to appear. The slight layer of fog made it hard to penetrate through it and see further through it, causing difficulties for Daichi to examine the land ahead of him.

"Now where is he?" Daichi mumbled to himself as he walked up to the nearest tree and sat down, resting his back against it. The dilatory night journey drained all the energy out of Daichi as he picked a single grass leaf and placed it in his mouth, chewing on it. Closing his eyes he faded into his imaginative, extravagant mind and began giggling to himself. Only the Devil could know what he was thinking off.

Job Info:

Kaseki had been informed that Daichi, the newer Savage Skull mage, was out attempting to kill some people. "Perfect," Kodai thought, "I finally get to do something fun."

He loved the sun in a creepy, evil, twisted way that only a plant could. To him, it was free food. He looked around at the vegetation trying to get a basic idea on how strong life was in this area. It wasn't long until he saw a familiar face. "Daichi, so my eyes see you again... however you have not met me. My name is Kodai." he said to the man.

Kodai was the more evil of the two souls. Kodai was the one that preferred to drink the blood and eat the organs of those he killed. He got no gain from doing so, he simply just loved the taste. That was one of the things that made him the demon he was. However, compare to his lighter companion, Kaseki, he was useless in terms of magic. Even though the two shared the same eyes, the same heart, the same skin, the same stomach, Kaseki held the magic to himself. Together Kodai would use the weapons alone, and Kaseki would control the spells of the body. To anyone on the outside it was a mage with an extreme link of mind and soul, casting spells with the swings of a weapon. But truthfully, it was two souls working together.

Daichi startled for a moment once he heard a different voice appear from Kase, Kodai's mouth. This was the first time that Daichi met Kodai and he didn't even know how to refer to him. Although Kodai looked exactly the same as Kaseki, there was definitely something peculiar about Kodai which was contrasting Kaseki, Daichi thought to himself: "Perhaps it's the malicious corruption shown in his eyes as it violates a person to feel cadaverous just from looking at his eyes.."

He wasn't scared to look into the demon's eyes but he wasn't particularly interested in ruining the weak bond between him and Kaseki so he avoided staring into Kodai's eyes, daring him to show his power. Daichi greeted him with a smile as he spoke: "So you're the demon that changed Kaseki? Hm, I would like see the power hidden inside you that was capable of taking over a mage's soul - even if only partially." Daichi followed with a smirk as he provoked Kodai to prove his immense strength.

"Let's head to the farmlands and present each other our lust for blood and chaos." Daichi said as he began to feel slightly worried for his ability of controlling himself in the presence of a demon. He grinned once again and began walking towards the farms, placing his left hand on the handle of his bestfriend, Mournblade.

Kodai smiled as he held onto the cursed blade, Khaos. He followed the man hoping to see some chaos the he could cause himself. Kodai knew that his time would be cut short. It was a shared body, and if one soul possessed "Kaseki" the body would be pushed far beyond its limit.

Kodai thought about the girl that Kaseki has befriended. To him it was sheer coincidence that it would happen to be a spirit, also searching for someone from long ago. Her name was Xiaowei, and she alone possessed more powers than Kodai dreamed of. The simple shapeshifting or teleportation....

"Let us make haste. I have an itch that I've been waiting to scratch," said the demon, "and my patience grows thin. There is no time to find poetry in the world, there is only time to destroy."

Kodai could feel himself fading. He would be extremely disappointed as well as furious if he could not find the kill he wanted. "At this rate... Kaseki will return shortly. I can only push him back for so long..."

If he waited long enough Xiaowei would appear as well and further through Kodai into the abyss of Kaseki's mind. Sure Kaseki was growing evil, but the methods he used... were never as insane as Kodai.

Daichi felt a slight pressure as Kodai clearly made it discernible that he wants to hurry up and begin causing chaos to the nearby farms, probably due to his loss of control of his body. Daichi always loves to provoke and apish people with his silly grins and childish smirks, but he understood that this situation wasn't right for him to fool around so he speeded up his pace.

Reaching the arduous boundary of the mountain, a few fields of moist farmland revealed down the mountain, each land accompanied by a small hut. "That's where the farmers probably live.." Daichi thought to himself as he began dreading towards the closes hut which was straight ahead of them.

Within a few steps assisted by dead silence Daichi and Kodai reaches the first hut, inspecting it through the windows Daichi couldn't observe anyone on the inside. He walked up to the fragile, wooden door which was hanging on its last nail as he suddenly heard the footsteps rush at the door, forcing Daichi to jump back.

"You bastards-!! You won't get away this time!!" Someone's firm voice shouted from the inside.

Kodai swung his blade at the guards' heads, slicing some throats and beheading one or two. He watched as the ball fell the ground and made a cracking sound followed by a splash of red. Kodai was living the dream. He watched as a fountain of red redecorated the small and frail hut.

It didn't make sense how Kodai was able to appear before Daichi, but somehow... he did.

Kodai grew irritated at the kill. It was too quick, and not enough torture. He was making haste. He was falling away.... fading away...

He wandered into the center of the farmland, hoping to find some sort of worthy opponent. "REVEAL YOURSELF, IT IS I, THE DESTROYER OF WORLDS. GIVE ME YOUR SOULS AND I PROMISE TO MAKE IT QUICK." he laughed and added on; "However I cannot promise that will not be messy... I plan to make a mess... a large mess."

Kodai watched as crowds begun to swarm and mob. Some farmers ran away, some ran toward the two Savage Skull mages. Kodai ran into the crowd swinging, doing all the destruction he could before he would fade away. He would kill a dozen more men before he would end. He would not like Kaseki have this moment, this moment belonged to Kodai and Daichi

Daichi was stunned by Kodai's eagerness and anxiety to spill home human blood but it was understandable as he noticed how less and less control of himself he had. Kodai's swing painted the walls of the hut cold, dark-red colour as it hurt Daichi's eyes to look at the abominable colour.

Once Kodai was done there, Daichi quickly ran through the hut but unfortunately couldn't find any supplies so he followed Kodai into the middle of the farmland where Kodai drew all the attention to himself and gethered 2 guards and 2 mages around us.

"It's going to be a long night...so, why not hurry it up?" Daichi grinned as he calmly gathered his sword out and placed the tip of the blade into the moist ground, gathering his maigcal energy in the blade he casted the Call of The Night.

"Who should I kill first..?" he thought to himself as he dragged his sword out and impatiently pounced at the nearest guard, excruciating his chest with the dark blade. Daichi then took a step back and kicked the guard simultaneously pulling the sword out of the guard's chest - releasing a funnel of blood.

Daichi noticed that the mage next to him pointed the staff at his side and quickly reacted by rolling away from a casted fireball, which almost hit Daichi. He got back up and smirked: "Heh, that wasn't really nice.."
Daichi took a deep sigh and rushed at the fire mage, avoiding the casted fireballs using side-steps and zig-zag travelling way. Within a few seconds he was face-to-face with the fearfull mage, maneuvring his blade around his throat with a grin on his face. He quickly lost interest so he simply cut the staff in half - and the blade was long enough to strike the whole of mage's body, leaving an open wound stretching from his chest down to his thigh.

"The other two are yours..have fun!" he smirked at Kodai.

Call of The Night:

Kaseki awoke to find himself in the center of the land, he seemed to enrage the peoples. He saw as farmers took up arms, guards emerged and Mages readied their spells. This very thing made him furious.

Kaseki watched as a guard dashed for him with a sword full extended. Kaseki saw this and took a sidestep, and in one fuid motion, pulled out a black dagger and stabbed the man in the back several times.

"These people are innocent, so why do we kill them?" he thought to himself. "No... the farmers are. They don't belong in this battle. The guards and the mages are the real targets. They come here for a purpose, not to protect these farms, but for themselves. They are corrupt, feeding off the poor and taking their money... it sickens me. Perhaps destroying this place means nothing... but killing these men, these... these traitors... that is what we must do." Kaseki thought only about how mages were about the pay, not about the cause. If they were for a cause, they would band together. Kaseki could see no traces of teamwork, they were all mercenaries.

A large ball of rock was shot past his head. "Another mage wants to play?" he thought. He looked around for the culprit and found him. In not time he found himself running at the mage, and before he knew it, he was tackling the mage. "You think I'm crazy now? Wait until I use my spell." Kaseki activated his Frost Thorn spell, implaling the man in several places.

"Sorry, I had to make this quick, you were ruining my mood."

'Monster Dice' :

Daichi watched with an unwavering gaze, as a fiery red orb of light slowly sank beneath the horizon, and threads of light lingered in the sky, mingling with the rolling clouds, dyeing the heavens first orange, then red, then dark blue, until all that was left of the sunset was a chalky mauve, and then that melted away in turn as stygian darkness took over the sky.

As the pearly, hollow moon rised above the farmlands, Daichi began feeling sanctioned as his passive ability "Moon's Darkness Empowerement" granted him with blessing.

"This guy really is a demon-!" Daichi thought but his thought was cut short as he spotted three guards charge at him from behind. He swiftly turned around and found them swinging their swords in his direction, calmly evading agile slices due to his increased movement speed.

Abruptly, Daichi stopped moving backwards, startling the nearest guard as he grabbed the guard's wrist and blocked his attack, immediately shreding his neck. Another guard to the right of Daichi rised his sword above Daichi's head and slashed it at Daichi. Daichi continued his sword strike through the first guard's neck and blocked the attack, hastily maneuvring his sword and forcing the guard to expose one of his circulatory system organs. He instantly spotted the tragic mistake and executed the guard, sinking his sword deep into the guard's heart.

Daichi quickly jumped away from the two standing corpses as they dropped down and released a pool of red sauce, covering the moist ground. At this moment Daichi remembered the true purpose of his mission, which was to look for supplies.

"I'm leaving this last one for you - I'm off to look for supplies!" Daichi shouted to the demon next to him as he rushed towards the nearest hut.

Kaseki swung his blade around him in a hurricane-like motion. It wasn't long until he separated the guard's mind from his body. He watched the blood flow like a river, the most calming natural creation down his body.

It was a quick battle, if it could be called that. Most of the targets seemed to run away. He watched as his friend and comrade ran into a nearby hut. "Supplies... Perhaps I can assist." thought the plant man as he ran into a hut as well. He found a farmer within, and simply told him to leave. "My business is not with you. Run before I change my mind." he told him plainly.

He looked around the wooden and poorly structured building. "The guild of insanity, and here I stand looking for something... something... to eat." Kaseki thought to himself as he nibbled on a piece of bread inside. It was on a plate, possibly the farmer's snack. It didn't matter anymore, the village was being destroyed. "This place is poor and weak, just as most places are. These innocents are undeserving of such a kill. They should live a little longer and find will to put up a fight. There is no glory in killing the innocent." He took another bite of the bread. "There's no glory in killing... only overcoming a stronger opponent."

Kaseki was never a fan of a simply death, he preferred the death of a warrior. "Winning is overcoming your opponent when the odds are stacked against you... All of this fighting is meaningless... everything is weak."

Daichi quickly ran inside the nearest but, going through each room decorated with cracks and holes as the texture and the structure if the hut have an impression of an ancient prison cell. Dirty, ripped mattresses instead of beds, virtually no food anywhere in to house and instead of a toilet - a simple hole in the ground. He felt disgusting imagining surviving under these conditions as he thought to himself:

"Maybe I'm doing these people a favour when ending their pathetic, lonely lives! Who would like to live under these conditions? Nobody even cares about who lives here..."

He stepped inside the kitchen which looked like it is going to crumble to pieces any second and found a crate under the wooden table, surrounded by chairs. Daichi pulled the chairs and threw them away from himself, smashing against the wall and breaking into pieces.

The wooden crate looked significantly cleaner and fresher compared to the rest of the wooden things in the house which meant that it hasn't been here for long. He lifted the heavy box up and placed it on the table, creating a squeaky noise as the table bent downwards a bit. Although there was a tiny layer of dust covering the crate - it was only little compared to everything else in the house.

"Now let's see, what is this bad boy hiding inside it?" Daichi said as he slid his blade into the space between the top cover and the side piece, forcing the crate's cover to open and reveal stacks of celestial body keys or they're fake copies, Daichi never understood the word things. Also he found different types of jewellery and magical items, quickly trashing everything inside his bag.

He ran out of the hut and headed towards the next one, observing Kaseki rush towards a hut as well...

Kaseki threw things aside as he rampaged through the hut. He threw everything he could find, plates, tools. He was infuriated, he was frustrated. How could they be sent to a simple farmland to look for one thing? What was that thing? What the hell were they looking for?

"THIS IS POINTLESS." Kaseki screamed at the hut. He tore apart the bed, the walls of the hut. He broke the shelves... "HARRIGAN IS A WEAK MAN. WHY MUST WE BE SENT OFF TO LOOK FOR A TOOL? IF HE IS SO POWERFUL, WHY DOESN'T HE HAVE IT?" Then Kaseki spawned an idea. "Something he wants... but cannot get... Heh." Kaseki spoke to himself in a more quiet voice. He had a plan. He had an idea..

They just needed to find the supplies.

Daichi swiftly knocked the wooden door down using his foot, rapidly running into the house and checking each room, but he didn't find any supplies or boxes or whatsoever, so he ran examined every room again. This time he didn't find anything as well as he thought to himself:

"I couldn't have missed anything - if I didn't find anything here then there's nothing here to fin-", before he heard a deafening bang from outside the hut which interrupted his thought and drew all of his attention.

He quickly ran into the room which contained a window, facing the cause of emphatic shouts and screams - it was Kaseki. He could see Kaseki trashing the the room and everything that was inside it- but unfortunately he couldn't hear all the words that Kaseki shouted.

Daichi quickly ran out of the hut he had just scrutinized and was left with no progess or awards. The hasty, chilly wind smoothed Daichi's face as the goosebumps slowly started taking over his skin - although he didn't feel cold. He ran across the field of moist, dirty ground as he observed farmers retreat from their homeland, running for their laugh, allowing Daichi to brake a smirk on his face.

He arrived at the entrance to the hut which Kaseki was investigating and shouted:

"Kaseki! You there?"

"This entire raid... is futile." Kaseki said to himself. He thought about the lives he ended moments ago. He thought about the families he just ripped apart. He simply walked into a community and destroyed it. Was that something to be proud of?

"Daichi, do you have any idea of what we're even searching for?" the plant man asked. He wondered about why they got the job, and what could be hidden in this land. He continued to thrash and destroy the room. He was looking for something out of place, something that didn't belong. He couldn't find anything of importance.

He found that more and more, Savage Skull tasked him with meaningless goose chases. Kaseki always found himself doing some meaningless task. He felt as if his entire existence was, well.... meaningless. "It's only a matter of time before the villagers come back... and we still have no 'supplies'" he thought to himself. "We don't even know what we're searching for..."

He looked around the mayhem he created. An entire farmer's hut was destroyed. For what purpose? For looking for supplies that neither party knew what it could be. As far as they knew, the food could have been the supplies.

Daichi seem Kaseki appear from the wooden hut...no, after Kaseki had been in there and let out his emotions – mainly frustration and fury – it was a destroyed, completely ripped apart hut. Daichi observed Kaseki's eyes and seen the irritation that he was experiencing at that moment – his eyes wild like that of a beast, hunting down a prey in order to feed off his hunger. But Daichi wasn't rushing, calming Kaseki down - he let his comrade take out his emotions and therefore scaring away the farmers even more. He thought that Kaseki should be able to control his feelings himself - if he chose to act like that - then he should take all the responsibility for his actions - simple.

"I won't be always there to stop his wildness and destructive behaviour - he should learn when to stop,"Daichi thought to himself as he looked coldly at his teammate, carelessly listening to his question.

"I don't know what are "supplies", but all I know is that whatever would help our guild to survive or earn a profit will fall in that category so just look for whatever will be useful to the guild!" Daichi replied as he turned around and began walking towards a near-by hut, leaving
Kaseki in the demolished hut.

He began walking towards the next house, dragging his feet along the vast, acute grass as it was slashing and tickling Daichi's feet. He reached the corner of the house and turned around it - finding a metal door guarding the entry to the hut, which made it look precious and valuable. Daichi grinned as he began imagining what could be hid behind the door.

"Kaseki! Come here!" He shouted, calling his comrade over.

Kaseki reluctantly removed himself from his destruction, we wanted more... He wanted a reason.

He caught up with his guildmate, looking upon the door. It was a steel, or some kind of metal, door. It appeared to resemble that of a vault. Kaseki smiled upon the discovery. "Perfect." he thought to himself. He was calm and collected, an odd change. To those that knew him, the evil Kaseki was much more to fear than Kodai... for Kodai lost to the insanity of the darkness of Kaseki.

"Fitting," The plant man spoke. "Have you means of opening this up? Or shall I conjure us a plan?" he asked.

Kaseki was curious as to what may lay behind the door. It could be weapons. Some tools with a creation for destruction. Perhaps it was wealth, for money can buy various things. Maybe it was a creature, something locked up and full of rage that would be unleashed soon. The door had infinite possibilities. Anything could be behind the metal wall. That simple door was the last things between the two mages and finally completing their mission. But what was behind the door?

"I apologize for my fit earlier" the mage said sincerely, "There's been a lot of things happening recently, the hut was my vessel of release. Also, I'm sure you'll soon find out... Harrigan will task us with many things... many many things..."

Kaseki had been full of stress and anger since his good friend vanished. Kaseki wasn't sure what to feel... especially since the man gave all of his power to Kaseki's only kin... his daughter.

Daichi firmly and discreetly exmined the metal barricade that was guarind the house and therefore stopping Daichi and his comrade, Kaseki from finishing their job. Unfortunately, Daichi couldn't find a handle, switch or a hidden button which would force the metal door to open up, as she slid his fingers in all the shells and gaps between the door and the wall, as well as just on the wall itself as well. Once he assured himself that there was nothing there, Daichi calmly took two steps back and scratched his head, thinking:

"We need to open this metal barricade door thing with as little destruction as possible - vluable, yet fragile stuff might be in there! If me or Kaseki will use our magic then we will probably completely destroy the hut - including the stuff that's inside it..."

Daichi stood there for a little bit longer, cautiously working out a plan as the sweatdrops kept on sliding down the side of his face, putting even more pressure on him until suudenly, Daichi lifted up his index finger and shouted: "I know!"

He quickly looked up at Kaseki with a grin as he began explaining his mastered plan of excellence and solution to their problem: "Kaseki, you can manipulate, release and freeze water right? So, release your water into the shell between the door and gap where the lock is located and the quickly freeze. Using my thin blade I will strike it and break through your ice and the lock as well - opening the doors for us!"

Kaseki smiled as he listened to the man. He reached up to the top of the door to fit his fingers into the grove. He began to release the water from his fingertips into the crevices of the door. He poured a gallon, half his storage, into the door. Quickly he froze the water with his ability, "Ymir's Touch" and took a step back.

"The door is ready to go, with enough force I'm sure you can knock it down." the Coming Storm added.

Kaseki watched as his teammate executed his plan. If he was successful at his idea, then the door would fall, revealing the power that was inside. The job would be quick and done with, and they would have the 'supplies' they needed.

Kaseki then paused for a moment, thinking about the villagers. It was quite some time since they all fled. After all, Kaseki and Daichi had eliminated all of the guards. "I wonder if..." Kaseki began to ponder the possibility that they were going for help.

Kaseki wondered about how many families he had destroyed, how many mothers were left husbandless, and how many children were left fatherless. The killing didn't bother him, it was the aftermath at he couldn't bare.

Daichi watched the plant man cascade liquid from his hand into the shell as it poured through all the free space and coated the lock, instantly freezing all if the water using one his spells. Daichi grinned as he seen how his plan was progressing and as each second went by - they were getting closer and closer to their target. A smooth layer of cold steam covered Daichi's skin as the ice spell released a chilly steam which popped out goosebumps all over Daichi's skin.

Daichi took a manly grip of his Mournblade and thrusted it through the ice at the top of the shell and swiftly dragged the sword down - breaking the arctic, glazed crystal layer. Half way through the frozen glacier it became harder to drift the blade. Daichi knew that it was the lock that he was now slashing, yet slowly - inch by inch it carried on drifting through until finally the blade stopped at the ground.

Daichi took a step back and kicked ye metal barricade down, landing it on the floor and revealing a single, solidly secured box with red, capital letters stamped on it: "DO NOT OPEN!" That immediately drew all of Daichi's attention and made him impatient as eagerness and curiosity to ok over him. Full of interest, yet calmly he started walking up to the box and sliding the blade in between the box sides. With a brutal push, the cover come off and revealed what was inside the mysterious, secured box which contained...

"Stuffed Animals?" Kaseki said softly. Yes, it was stuffed animals. The crate seemed to be over flowing with them. There was bunnies, bears, turtles and other various creatures. Kaseki was baffled, he wasn't sure what to think. The stuffed creatures were coated in bright vibrant colors. Kaseki stared at the thing. He just couldn't get over the find. He walked over, taking light steps, almost hovering over the ground, towards the large box.

He picked up a light and sky blue rabbit. He held it in his aged and metal hand. It seemed normal enough. He pressed it between his wooden palm and thumb. "This... cannot be. A simple stuffy?" he thought to himself. The entire even seemed too simple.... just too easy. He flipped the toy on its' side for a tag, but found nothing.

He tossed the toy back into the box. The lifeless creature bounced off and fell unto the floor. "A meaningless hunt. I don't expect the supplies to be 'teamwork' or 'friendship' there has to be something more." Kaseki said. He looked back at the layer of animals at the top of the crate. He drew a curious thought, "Daichi, you don't think this whole crate is full of them, do you? Perhaps... there's something at the bottom..."

Daichi was startled at the sight of Kaseki fishing out stuffed toys from the box which seemed so valuable and precious, shattering Daichi for a moment as he stared at the children's toys. He observed Kaseki examining the little, puffy toys all around - hoping that something might fall out of it or maybe be hidden inside it but no. Nothing at all. No legendary magical weapons. No lacrimal crystals. Nothing. Absolutely nothing.

No. It couldn't be stuffed toys. This place was well too secured and protected for stuffed toys to be in this box. There's definitely something more to this than just pathetic, soft animals. What are we missing? Think Daichi - think!" Daichi was thinking to himself until his teammate interrupted his thought as he offered a solution - perhaps there was something hidden at the bottom.

Daichi rushed towards the enormous box, simultaneously placing his sword onto the black sheath and rapidly tabbing the toys from the box and chucking them over his head, behind him. Although Daichi was feeling nervous slightly for some weird reason, yet he was still calm and bland.

After chucking out a few tens of toys, Daichi finally shouted: "I can see something!" A long, elongated item was wrapped in a yellow parcel, something that reminded him of a sword or staff. He swirly grabbed he exposed part of the parcel and pulled it out.

"Kaseki, I think this is it! Let's head back now before more recruitment arrives!" Daichi said as he placed a brutal grip on the parcel and ran out of the hut.

Kaseki followed him out of the small building with his favored weapon in hand. "Yes... we have a purpose." he thought to himself. He looked along the horizon, it was almost unset. But a new thing was arriving. It was as if a great darkness was beginning to unfold... no... it was the villagers.

Kaseki gripped his sword. He twisted the handle of the blade as if it were a toy, and as if by some odd magical means, the sword let out a great light, and was seen now, as a scythe. "Daichi, I don't expect us to get out of this unharmed, so please, go on. Take that thing and get it out of here." Kaseki held his scythe at his side, resting the top of the weapon on the ground. "I'm sure you'd love to end some more lives, but truthfully you and I both know that you have very limited reach. Let me handle the peasants. Do not damage the parcel."
