Personality:
Nanashi Ecks is a shy, quiet person who tends to observe things around him. Despite being the silent-type, he can open-up to others whenever he expresses his thoughts and opinions on certain topics. Sometimes, he can be too lazy, yet he can also be too hard-working (especially when he's 'tinkering' with his Models). He also loves a good laugh, sometimes laughing at small things others wouldn't actually see as funny. He's also a bit of a coward and can panic a lot, but he can overcome it when he's about to perform his Anima ARMS magic. He's confident and proud of his Models, which he considers as "the extension of his mind and body". He has the habit of saying "Scrap!" when things go terribly wrong.

However, he wears a mask, a facade that he keeps hidden from others. Behind this silent-type, bottled-up person lies a dark persona, the Yin of his Yang. When he's at his limit, or he's much stressed, he can be cold, violent, and sadistic in battle. Though this persona doesn't last long, since Nanashi would try to calm down and end up forcing his "other self" to stop.

In Combat:
Nanashi prefers to follow orders rather than give them; help others rather than to be helped. He'd also rather engage enemies one at a time instead of trying to face two or more. During battle, once he's gotten over his cowardice, he becomes calm and systematic with his attacks and tactics. But sometimes, he gets a bit excited when he comes up with a new (and flashy) tactic. He also has some basic knowledge in handling bladed weapons. Aside from his Models, he prefers light weapons that can change its size (like the Musica and Bustermarm swords), and weapons that can change its form (like his Memory Gauntlets). He also admires Guns Magic wizards; he also dreams of learning to use magical pistols and sniper rifles.

Likes:
Nanashi is the type of guy who appreciates (and notices) small things. He loves light, breezy, and cloudy mornings, light rain showers, cute animals (especially cats), children playing in the plaza, etc. He also loves large bodies of water (the sea, lakes, rivers, etc.), despite the fact that he doesn't know (and is unwilling to learn) how to swim. He also has a habit of climbing up the rooftops at night and stare at a cloudless, starry night sky.

He likes to spend most of his time alone; reading books at the Town Library, modifying his Models, or sitting in a corner while observing everything that happens around him. But despite being a loner and a quiet person, he loves a good conversation. When it comes to food, he loves to eat chocolates, fruits, and meat (especially roasted chicken).

Dislikes:
One thing that Nanashi really hates to see is seeing a woman cry, believing that a girl's eyes should only "smile for herself and for others". Also, spending too much time secluded in his workshop while tinkering with his Models made Nanashi somewhat nocturnal (his eyes being bit sensitive to bright light). And, for unknown reasons, he doesn't always eat vegetables. But when he does, he's quite picky.

He hates unnecessary conflict between fellow Guild mates (well, a friendly competition is of course acceptable). He also hates bullies; so much that whenever somebody being tormented, he always feels intense hate and anger towards them (in most cases, he'd confront such bullies).

Motivations:
Nanashi is looking for a more "solid" purpose in life, while weighing his desire to recover his past memories. All he wants now is to be of help to others; a warm smile, or hearing the words "thank you" from the people he helps is enough to keep him going.

Fears:
Nanashi treats all of his Models as his friends/companions. Losing his Models or someone stealing his Models is his greatest fear. He also has a "slight" fear of extreme heights (i.e. being on the edge of a cliff) and large, flying insects (especially flying cockroaches!)
Sometimes, Nanashi doesn't like to be involved in an argument with people close to him, because he's afraid of losing his temper, in which he expresses extreme hate and anger.

Skin Tone: light-brown
Appearance: Nanashi Ecks looks like a typical guy for his age: tall, light-brown skin, semi-messy black hair; a typical commoner. However, his eyes always appear to be tired, bored, or apathetic (even though he's not). He tends to show a permafrown, even though he's perfectly fine. Thus, his eyes and lips gives off the expression that he's always sad or gloomy. His body appears to be quite able to do some tedious tasks, despite being quite thin during his younger years. He's always seen wearing sunglasses, black cargo pants, utility belt, t-shirt, and (oddly) a cerulean-colored trench coat. Sometimes, he would either wear his Memory Gauntlet, or a pair of fingerless gloves. He always carries a backpack (where he keeps his Models) and a toolbox.
