Job: Be a Model

“CUTE!”
She heard the man shout out of no—where, causing her to jump and bump back into the request board when she found this same strange man suddenly in her personal space.

“Cute cute CUTE you my dear! Will you model for me!? You’ll make a great attraction! Sabertooth’s adorable little Kitten!  What will become of this young wizard? Will she grow up to be Sabertooth’s new star?! SO KEWL”
He shouted before taking a step back and snapping a picture of the now flushed water wizard. On her shoulder, Zinny hissed at the photographer, even snapping at the camera as she bore her fangs.

“Oh and look! You’re already one with nature! A pet snake? SO KEWL. So will you please be my model? I’ll pay you of couse! 750 Jewel! No less! Does that sound like a deal or what?!”
He offered the little girl, already attempting to escort her out of the guild hall and towards his transport to Magnolia. In the distance, she could hear other members laughing at the whole situation, they knew just how frightened she was, and knew just how eccentric this reporter was. She heard shouts of “Knock em dead Aayla” to “Show em you mean business kid!”. God she thought she was going to pass out from all the blood rushing to her face. She didn’t even notice that she was letting herself be pulled along by this reporter.

“I’m sorry if I scared you kid! My names Matt! I’m a reporter with Sorcerer weekly! Don’t worry we’ll take good care of you! You’ll get to try on all sorts of new dresses!”
Once back into town, Matt was quick to use a second teleportation crystal to get them to Magnolia’s east forest twice as fast as any vehicle could take them.


“I’ll have you back to the guildhall in an hour. Sound fair?”
He offered her with a wide grin. At this point, small tears had begun to form in the girls eyes from having been dragged here but she nodded softly. She could do this… no problem… it was just posing for pictures right? How bad could it be?

She could already hear the music playing as they approached the site of the photo shoot. Women in beautifully designed outfits were doing different poses with the beautiful forms of nature behind them.

Aayla took a deep breath before walking up to the woman she was being guided too. Apparently her name was Chenelle and Aayla was to wear whatever the elder woman told her too and pose as Matt and the other photographer told her.

“Oh my dear dear dear no… that dress will NOT do. Mmhmm you look ready to go to a concert, not a stroll into nature. No you need more green darling… and something for your eyes… yes of course I have just the thing, come with me.”

She gently put her hand on Aayla’s shoulder and guided her into the tent where all the models would be changing. At the moment though, Aayla and Chanelle were the only two inside.

“Take off that dress. Here, put this on instead. It’s simple, but with hair like that darling you don’t need much. Oh my is that a snake. Oh yes yes this is perfect. Quickly now we don’t have all day!”
The woman said impatiently as she turned her back to Aayla.

The younger girl looked at Zinneth uncertainly before gently taking her from her shoulder and placing her on top of a dresser. She then made sure she was well hidden before changing out of her dress and slipping on this plain, forest green dress. She adjusted her necklace and removed her gloves before shouting out to the fashion designer that she was finished. The woman came over to inspect her and pushed Aayla into a seat and very nearly tore the shoes from her feet.

“You want to look more natural darling. No shoes… oh and that necklace… beautiful, but it doesn’t match.”
Chanelle moved her hands up to take the necklace off of Aayla’s neck but the girls hand flew up and caught her hand before sh could take it off.

“N…no… I’m not taking this off. It’s precious to me. Please… sorry... I can't...”
She protested, a pleading look on the young girls face. Chanelle opened her mouth to insist she tke it off but then just sighed and waved her hand.
 
“No matter. I am a world famous designer, I will work with this, I will work with anything!”
She said as she grabbed a thread and needle and began sewing on flower designs onto the young girls dress, her hands alive with the glow of magic as she sewed swiftly. As she worked, Aayla felt as if she was barely wearing anything at all, as if the dress allowed all of the air to pass right through. In fact, the dress already seemed to be billowing in the wind and yet, there was no breeze at all! The flowers that had been sewn onto her were sparkling with life,s eeming to be growing straight out of her body.

“Very good. Now on stage dear!”
She stated as she picked up Zinneth for the young girl and replaced the snake onto the girls shoulder. Zinneth wrapped herself once more over the nap of Aayla’s neck as the young girl was ushered back outside and onto the set.

The new photographer began to gently tell Aayla what she should be doing, what facial features she should be making. He placed her the way he wanted to see her, however, h was quickly noticing that Aayla seemed to just freeze up, not looking Natural at all. The photographer sighed as he pondered how to get the girl to relax.

“You are a sabertooth wizard are you not? Use your magic, as long as you don’t destroy the forest… relax, do what comes naturally and just let me capture those moments.”
He offered as an idea to the girl. Aayla paused, wondering how she could use her magic to her advantage here. A smile then crossed her face  and she heard a light *click*. She had the perfect idea! She walked up to one of the trees and placed her hand against it, her hand fading nto the tree as her body slowly began to turn into water.  She slowly pushed her body into the tree, her dress still glowing lively, reflecting off of her water body and now seeming to grow from the tree itself. She soon found her way onto the other side of the tree, her body visible, yet still made of water. Her upper torso, and most of the dress were visible as she began exiting the tree…

*click click click click*

Perfect, she could have fun with water. She created two water bubbles and launched them up into the air. She sat back against the tree, tilting her head up as if she was looking up at the leaves. The water bubbles suddenly burst, causing the water to rain down heavily on the scene. She faintly heard “COOL” from the back and a crazy amount of *CLICK CLICK CLICK CLICK CLICK*

Soon, her body faded into water once more as she let herself slip back through the tree once more.  She began leaving through the opposite side again, however this time, her body glowed yellow brightly. This caught the photographer off guard, but he never stopped photographing every moment, cheering when the glowing stopped and the young girl had transformed into some sort of creature! Aayla had taken on her Sea Serpent Takeover, while still using her water body to step out of the tree, her hand up to her face with Zinneth intertwined between her fingers, her body dangling low but her face creeping up Aala’s blue cheek.

“This is perfect! You are born for this! Amazing! Congratulations  Aayla I think I have my centerfold! What amazing magic! A Takeover wizard? I never knew!”

He was happy to see her in this form? She stepped out of the tree and off of the ‘stage’ while still in her takeover. He continued to take pictures of her as if not wanting to forget her form. Her blue face flushed, giving her a purple tinge as she soon broke her takeover andr eturned to normal, completely embarrassed about how he had just acted (even though she secretly had fun with the project).
With more praise, words or encouragement and of course, a pay, Aayla was allowed to use the lacrima to return home where she was quick to run to her room and crash onto her bed, burying her face into her pillow.
 
“That was so embarrassing…”
She muttered lowly.
