The Gathering (Rune Knights, Kylar)

OOC: Mel has called a mission briefing to gather items so that Shaku and Mel can upgrade the infinity ball.

Fancy Mel, one of the chairs to the Magic Council. She stood before the barracks and made her way into the briefing room. The lack of guidance from the first chair and second chair have caused havoc and chaos among the ranks and morale. She was not happy to say in the least that almost all of the Legal guild members have suddenly disappeared. Mel knew what had happened and she was not very happy about this. Her main goal was to have the knights go on a mission to find a special item. "Alright guys, let's get this briefing over with." She said putting a hand through her red hair. The blue eyed, tacky dressed mage dusted off her skirt. Her shoes tapped as she made her way to the podium and then tapped her finger on the stone. "First of all, I know where the mages have gone. I've done research referring to an alternate universe, parallel to ours. Edolas." Mel looked forward and nodded. "So... This universe is with out magic. Coming back should be next to impossible. However," Mel gave a smile. "There is an artifact in our vault that can open a gateway to alternate dimensions. We can upgrade it so that it does not open a random gateway."

Mel stopped for a minute then looked at the rest of the knights. "I need volunteers to find a special lacrima that was forged in the our world's core, then made its way to the surface." She stopped talking then leaned on the podium. "So Soldiers, do I have any volunteers for people to go on this mission with Shaku."

Cathrine sat in the briefing room at the Rune Knights Head quarters, anxiously waiting for what miss Mel had to tell her and the rest of the Rune Knights. There were rumors it had something to do with the mysterious disappearance of the legal mages, but Cathrine was not sure herself.

When Fancy Mel explained what happened to the mages, a look of confusion spread across the cat girls face. An alternate universe without magic, was that even possible? Magic was such an important part of everyday life, even back in Joya, what would such a place be like?

Cathrine's attention was brought back to the council member when she said that the magic council was sending some Rune Knights to retrieve materials to make a stable portal between the two universes. Cathrine was not sure that she understood all that Fancy Mel had said, but she did know that she wanted to help, members of Fiore were lost in another world and needed help.

"I will go," Cathrine said in a confident voice, "Sounds like a good chance to prove that even though I am young, both my magic and I are strong."

Vierorin yawned, he wasn't entirely sure why most of the Rune Knights on Base were suddenly called for an emergency mission briefing. What is going on... I need try and get back to my nap time... it is so hard at times keeping my heat in check... He then heard Fancy Mel annouce what happened at the Legal Guild Master's Conference and how everyone there had been teleported to a alternate universe of some kind, a place that was void of magic.

Vierorin had started to sweat for he had issues understanding most of what Fancy Mel was telling them, but there was a few things he did pick up on, A world without magic... a lacrima that needed to be fetched... that had been formed at the planets core and resurfaced... "Alright I am in! I am ready to have my flames help out!!"
