Face Claim --- Xion; Kingdom Hearts
Name: Brielle McCloud
Gender: Female
Age: 13
Birthday: October 20th
Sexuality: Straight
Special Characteristics: Brielle has a birthmark on her right shoulder blade, in the shape of a curved line. It's rather decent in size, stretching from the curve of the shoulder diagonally to the tip of the blade at the bottom, and tends to stick out like a sour thumb depending on the clothing Brielle wears.
Personality: Brielle has been known to be rather shy and soft-spoken. She is known by a number of people to assist when she can, rarely rejecting anyone's request for help unless it's a special or certain circumstance. Brielle tends to push herself over the limit if she tries too hard without being careful, but helping out others has taught her some rather helpful experiences in quite a few situations causing her to form a strong sense of empathy.
Brielle has developed a few traits from helping out others when she can, honing her diplomatic skills and ability to listen to opposing viewpoints without losing patience. There have been a few situations where the girl has had to listen to both sides of a story, learning to pick apart details and work things out with her involvement. It also has caused another trait of finding the balance between certain things, careful to not give one side too much while the other receives too little. The way she talks and the manners that were taught by her mother served to make others comfortable upon communication, the soft tone to Brielle's voice having been known to calm others.
Brielle isn't one that goes about life as if it's just a hit-and-run. In fact, she's one to tread with caution. She is the type of player in a game of life that treads at her own pace, quiet yet in everlasting wonder of what lies ahead. There's a sense of fair play for herself and for others. It has been a struggle for her to make friends as she has found herself to become easily detached or forgotten. The shyness within has always gotten in the way proving it difficult to conserve a conversation, or approach people that she's even met before. The fact that she is quiet more often than not also proves it rather difficult.
What certain people seem to remember about Brielle is how polite she has turned out to become so far, not minding the fact that she is soft-spoken certain times. Despite not having many friends, or even a big family, she has grown to become well mannered and helpful. Upon conversing with the McCloud, it may be difficult to hear her at some points and truth be told a blush will creep across the girl's cheeks if one were to ask her to repeat what she said out of embarrassment whether man, woman, or creature. She isn't one to speak behind a person's back, and often times keeps ill thoughts to herself without even telling the individual her opinion of them. Brielle does seem to share an ill opinion regarding the Magic Council regarding quite a few of their actions being the result of that dislike.
Brielle isn't one interested in the element known as love as of yet being she's still young in age. However, she figures that it must be rather troubling as her mother told her a rather lengthy (and painful) story of a man whom had up and left her without a word one morning after a... one night stand. The details of what the man looked like or what his name even was is foggy, and not to mention how her mother despised talking about the subject with a passion. Even if it was a one time conversation, and that the man may seem terrible by her mothers words, Brielle still believed that this man whom could presumably be known as her father may still exist somewhere... Maybe. There was still a flicker of hope in the girl's heart that the mysterious figure existed out there somewhere, yet other events in life had always directed her attention away from the matter - it being pushed into the back of her mind.
Upon attaining the rank of friendship with someone, Brielle can be found to become more comfortable being around the individual. The black haired girl will even speak up more, not carrying that same soft voice as before. Alike all friendships, such a thing takes time with someone of Brielle's nature.
The amount of magic flowing through the girl is nothing impressive - at least to Brielle it isn't. Always attempting to discover new things, it's no lie that it has become a challenge to the McCloud when attempting to harness the powers of magic. It is still in the process of being controlled. Such practices always drained the body and mind which led to mental fatigue so it was almost more than troubling to keep the will to learn, and improve day by day. The only thing that has kept her going was the promise the girl had made to her mother to, "Never give up no matter how hard things may get."
Although she is seen as a rather young girl (and even treated differently because of age differences and such), Brielle is one to hold her own in a fight for a decent amount of time of a 'kid' her age. The amount of magic that lies within her is still in the works of being developed properly, the source still being tapped into. Not one for large threats or even numbers of three, it's been always a principle of Brielle's to run if she came across a number like that on her own. On her own, she has been known though to be tactful using whatever belief of faith she has in herself to get by even if things are rough.
When working with a partner or a group, she's more than willing to lend a helping hand in any way she can, ready to jump in whenever instructed or feels that she is needed. Brielle is more of a follower than she is a leader more comfortable with following orders than she is giving them; under a leader she'll follow orders without hesitation to a certain extent. She can also be one to be found calm in a tight spot, yet even she has her limits and breaking points. The girl is also not one to talk very much regarding a battle, keeping a focused expression on her features as it commences. The McCloud is still known to grow upset just as every other being out there, and it becomes no secret once such a thing happens as it will become written clearly on the girl's face.
Likes:
- Helping others out. It's something that the girl has grown used to doing upon growing up.
- Making others happy. It's not an easy task being young but the one thing this girl loves is to see a smile on other people's faces.
- Being busy. Whether it's with the smallest of things, Brielle likes to keep herself busy no matter how long it takes. As long as it passes the time then she doesn't mind.
- Any kind of tea. That is this girl's best friend regarding beverages as it keeps her calm, and the taste is just divine to her.
Dislikes:
- The Magic Council. Their actions simply haven't justified quite a few things they have done, and Brielle just can't help but get a negative vibe from them upon mention.
- Falling ill. It's no lie that it's quite the downer when a human being gets sick, but Brielle is one who is never fond of illnesses when they come to haunt her.
- Impolite people. Indeed, there are some rather unpleasant people in the world... But all the same they're still tough to deal with. Brielle's not one to take to impolite people so well, and will even detach herself mighty quick from them.
- Coffee. From the moment Brielle first tried it, that always left a bad taste in her mouth. To this day the girl doesn't understand what is so appealing about it, but she mostly keeps that to herself.
Motivations:
- To improve upon her magic. Even if it's just a small improvement, a little can go a long way.
- To improve upon her shyness and be rid of the struggles regarding her hardships in making friends.
- To perhaps become a young woman worth noting, gaining the independence that every individual should have.
- The very words her mother told her: "Never give up no matter how hard things may get." Brielle will always go by the words her mother spoke to her when she is down, always finding meaning within them.
Fears:
- Failing her mother. Brielle doesn't wish to let her own mother down as it is one of the last things she wishes for.
- Always being alone. It's never a good feeling to have and Brielle fears that she'll experience this loneliness for the rest of her life.
- Failing to protect those important to her. If Brielle can't even do that... then she wouldn't have the foggiest of idea of what she's even capable of doing in the first place.
- Brontophobia. Brielle has a strong fear of thunder and lightning.
General Appearance
Height: 5' 1"
Weight: 109 lbs.
Hair: Brielle's hair is a jet black color that was inherited by her mother, always being kept short as she was never fond of long hair. The girl always believed it made her look rather strange in her opinion.
Eyes: Electric Blue
Skin Tone: Pale
Appearance: Brielle is a youthful young girl that resembles her reasonable age of 13. Carrying vibrant blue colored eyes and jet black hair, there are certain genetic features that the girl must have carried over from her father rather than her mother. It's always still been a mystery, or in the back of the girl's head at least.
Her clothing of choice is simple and nothing too fancy or 'girly'. She adorns a pink jacket with black jean shorts that stretch down to her mid thighs - and black laced boots that have slight elevation because of the heels. Upon taking off the jacket Brielle adorns a tight, white sleeveless undershirt along with the very birthmark that can be seen clearly on her right shoulder blade.
