Personality:  
Hydra is extremely sadistic. He will cause others pain and suffering on a whim, but can contain himself to some extent. Although he thinks humans are inferior beings, he coats his hatred with a grin and a light tone in his voice. He will even act like a normal human would in society, or feign friendship with humans, while he secretly wishes for them to become mere lackeys under him. He has a close relationship to all snakes, but most of all the demon snake who gave him his power. This snake has eight heads and goes by the name of Orochi. Orochi's disciple, Hydra, was once human and his humanity still lives deep within him, but it has been sealed away because of the demonic powers he received. As a human however, he was an extremely powerful mage, and he wishes to regain that power. Despite being ancient, he was sealed away for most of his life, and thus doesn't know as much as other people his age should know. His snake like appendage also serves as a portal to Orochi's world however, and the snake is just as sadistic. If someone were to be sent down the throat of the appendage, and ended up in Orochi's world, he would play with them before eagerly devouring them. Hydra will not hesitate to kill people as well, even out of a traditional battle, and will murder civilians just because he can. Even when he is ordered not to, he tends to kill at least one person per mission. This isn't really his choice. Because of things that happened in his past, murder is more of a reflex for him than anything. Hydra has two signature smiles. One of these smiles is a wide, eyes closed grin, which he uses to mask his true nature. When he feels like revealing his sadism, however, his smile becomes toothy and his eyes become focused.

He's quite a fearsome person on the battlefield. His methods can only be described as odd and fear inducing. His fifth appendage (or third arm, depending on how you want to look at it) is utilized like a snake, constricting and biting opponents instead of punching. This can lead to a unique, unusual, and unpredictable form of physical attacking. Another useful ability is the ability to store a small blade in his snake appendage. He utilizes this on occasion for sneak attacks or cutting through objects that require it. If he were to be put in charge of a group of people, if he wanted to pretend to act nice, he would put on a smile and politely request them to do things. When he reveals his sadism, however, he will force people to do whatever he wants, threatening them or even harming them if they refuse. While serving under any ordinary being that he wants to get on the good side of, he will grin widely and do whatever they want. When he doesn't care what his boss thinks, he may openly ignore their orders, or even go against them. Lastly comes the times when he serves under demon slayers. During these rare events, he will follow their orders whether he's being facetiously happy or sadistic, unless it puts his own life in danger.

Likes:

• Snakes - Prior to his transformation into a demon, he didn't care too much about snakes. As a demon however, especially considering he's a snake demon, snakes become one of his favorite things. As a snake demon, he can even communicate with them, and considers snakes his only friends.
  
• Warmth - Once again, this is something that he was indisposed to as a human. When he gained the properties of snakes however, he began to crave being in the sunlight or resting on warm rocks. This is one of few things that can soothe him.
  
• Seeing others in pain - To call Hydra a sadist would be too light a term. The joy he gets while watching others' faces contort with pain is sickening, to the point where he will toy with them for as long as he pleases before going in for the kill. When he does kill however, he enjoys hearing the final breaths of his victims as if it's music to his ears. His sadism is truly to extreme levels.
  

Dislikes:

• Demon Slayers - Being a demon slayer, he doesn't particularly like those with an advantage against him. Although he respects them, he prefers not to fight them to preserve his own life, despite being theoretically immortal due to the fact that he is a demon. The relationships between him and demon slayers will be interesting ones.
  
• Humans - He does not show this side often, but as a human who became a demon, he believes that he is superior to normal humans. He hides this and will act indisposed around his guildmates, but he secretly believes that they (with the exception of demon slayers) are inferior to him and that they should all be subservient to the demon.
  
• Other Demons - On the flip side, he doesn't enjoy the company of other demons. He enjoys the feeling of being above others, even if it is just a false sense of power, and will go out of his way to make sure other demons treat him as a superior, else he will seek out and destroy them.
  

Motivations:

• Kill the Kuma Clan - Hydra once managed to wipe out a majority of his clan, but a few members still remain. The demon wishes to kill off the remaining members of his clan, with the only exception on his list being himself (as he no longer considers himself a Kuma). Two of the highest people on his kill list are Cyrus and Kilian Kuma, as he was sealed away when he first attempted to kill them.
  
• Lead - Hydra, due to his lofty demeanor, feels that he should be the one in charge of humans. Thus any position of power he will accept, no matter the consequences. A secret dream related to this motivation is to become the ruler of all of Earthland, as he would be the ruler of all the humans.
  
• Keep the Orochi happy - The Orochi was the demon who gave Hydra his special demon powers. As long as he is able to please the Orochi, be it through sacrifice or war, he will do so.
  

Fears:

• Demon Slayers - Hydra, as a demon, fears what would happen if he ended up in a fight with a demon slayer. As such he tends to make amends with them or avoid them completely.
  
• Failing the Orochi - If he is not able to please the Orochi, Hydra fears that he will loose his powers. This is a baseless fear as the two have a mutualistic relationship with each other, and at this point they rely on each other to survive, but Hydra is unaware of this.
  
• Death - He has gone on a conquest against his clan and is trying to rule humankind. If he manages to die, and does not come back, he would feel that his entire life was in vain.
