OOC: Kihia is wearing a sleeveless grey T-shirt rather than his usual long sleeve shirt and has left his trench coat at the Guild Hall, his right arm is still completely bandaged and the rest of his wardrop is the same Kihia was walking across the sands of the desert, he was scanning the horizon for members of the cartel they were sent to find, I hope we can find these thieves soon… this sand is irritating… Kihia stopped for a moment a wiped the sweat of his brow with his left hand. Kihia looked across the horizon seeing no sign of the cartel members they were after, nor the shipment of Lacrimas they were sent to find. Kihia turned to his two companions behind him, studying them; he hadn’t seen them around much, but always heard that they were in the same team as him.
Kihia reached to his belt and grabbed a small jar of water, and took a drink from it. He then looked at Quincy and Naraca, and then took off two more jars of water and tossed them to his companions. “Here rest and drink for a moment…” He adjusted Icarus on his right shoulder for a moment and turned his gaze back to the surrounding area. Kihia sighed, and turned to his companions and said “Are you too faring well?... After you two are rested let’s get back to our search.” Kihia took another drink from his water jar and continued scanning the surrounding area.
Covered in a set of tan clothing Quincy followed Kihia closely. She kind of admired him from a distance though never really got to know him. She always dressed for the occasion as not a single piece of skin was showing on her body. Sure the cloth was a little restrictive it did help with the sand constantly pelting her. She pulled out a pair of steampunk goggles and put them on to help her as well making her look like an idiot who didn't know what she was doing. Which was kind of the truth in there.
She stopped as Kihia pulled out a jar of water. At the sight of the cool refreshing liquid made her mouth water even more than it should. She spaced out a bit until he threw a jar towards her expecting her to catch it. She grabbed at it but ultimately failing to catch it but saving herself by hitting it into the air and grabbing it from there. "Thank you." She said cutting herself off downing the entire jar of water. The heat was intense and it was really getting to be a pain in the arse. She turned to her other companion while still having the jar in her mouth gurgling "See anything? She spun around causing the bottom parts of the cloth to fly up to her knees. Nothing in sight but a large sandy wasteland. It was too plain here and it was driving Quincy insane, almost to the point where she was pulling her hair out.
The hot wind blew with a somewhat subtle but no less annoying and dangerous speed. The sand that flew threw the air would irritate anyone's skin and cause damage over time. The sun was bright with not a single cloud in the sky, leaving it entirely uninterrupted as it shone in it's full glory. Anyone with the sun in the vision at all would have to narrow their naked eye's. The desert had large hills far and wide in these dry lands. The orange grains had only a few plants and foliage that managed the force there way to the baking sun. Only dry cactus's and bone white tree's that were twisted and brittle. The place was a dead land that was only suited for the dead, not a place for human beings to be walking without a means of transportation.
Behind his two companions, the largest of the three, Naraca Breaker took long but slow steps. His show protected feet digging into the sand with each step. Standing at 7 feet in height, not even he could see anything from where he was. His usual, more free spirited clothes were hidden underneath a long, brown cloak he wore that had a hood over his head and covered most of his face. However as the wind blew, his cloak flowed with it just like his long black hair. His back looked rather odd as his great sword was attached to firmly to his back and underneath the cloak, making him look somewhat like a giant hunchback. He didn't mind the heat, he was used to extremes like this, a man who had traveled the world was used to all types of terrain. What he wasn't used to was traveling without direction. Being just a layer away from the word "Lost" he found himself more irritated of the unnecessary walking rather than the discomforts that the environment would normally bring. Yet just a mile off this city was supposed to be...Some ancient city, at least that's what the client said. A city where this "King of Thieves" resided in. He was supposed to be tough as well, not to mention his men, the "Thieves" he ordered around. They were a Cartel actually, and apparently these men got a little too greedy. This time they they upgraded from jewels and items of high worth of a Magic Lacrima of a decent size and storage level. Either this Cartel just grabbed the first shiny thing they saw, or they had some plans with this thing. So that was why Lamia Scale was hired for the job. From what the client said, in his shaky voice as he was still somewhat traumatized, he said they were a rowdy bunch to say the least. Merciless and ruthless, not afraid to kill and certainly not the kind to pay for what they took. These weren't hardened soldiers, but rather... Experienced killers. Who would have thought that this would be the first mission Naraca would undertake underneath the Lamia Scale Guild. He was no stranger to harsh conditions, and even more experienced in combat. He practiced magic very late in his life, coming in a 25 now he was just D-ranked wizard. However before he was a very strong and experienced soldier that didn't need magic to make the fireworks go off.
On his first mission, he's sent out to do this. The job seemed fitting for his experience, a harsh terrain, with harsh enemies. Yet how about the two he was paired up with? Well there was the guy that was in front. The Ice boy. His presence here made sense, his ice could be used to make water, so they wouldn't be short of it. Yet the boy's arm caused suspicion. Although mostly covered by clothes he could see bandages on the boy's wrist that seemed to go up what could very well be his entire arm. If he had a wound that severe, why would he be doing a mission like that? The arm caused him some worry, yet Naraca figured the boy wouldn't be thrown into combat unless he was fit for duty. So he didn't put much worry into it. Then there was the girl, even more of a kid. Clocking in at 16 in fact. Her personality no doubt was bigger then her body, one might say she was a lively one, yet she seemed to know when to remain serious. Yet her size is like a trick to an enemy, because her fighting style is no different then that of a rabid wolverine made of lightning. Very fast, very in your face. Picking her was understandable as well, as she'd be needed if things got rough. However he doubted her resolve in a situation like this. Had she ever killed anyone before? As she ever had to face someone trying to kill her? Could she stay calm in the face of danger? You can give a coward all the guns you want, in the end, it'll be the fearless man with the knife you'll wanna fear more.
It was when they were approaching a sandhill of decent height that cast a shadow that the Ice boy told them they could stop and rest. However Naraca wasn't tired, nor fatigued. He'd been in this kind of place enough times that he was used to it. Yet rest was necessary and they could have a long fight ahead of them. The Ice boy pulled two more water jugs and tossed them towards the girl and Naraca. He reached out his hand from underneath his cloak and caught the jug before popping off the cap and taking a big gulp of water which he let sit in his mouth for a while. The Ice boy could make more water so he wasn't so careful on rationing as he normally would be, yet he let the water sit out of habit. Doing this being a common technique when you had little water to spare.
Naraca didn't sit down nor lean on anything, he simply stood in place as he held the water, looking around for a moment. He couldn't see anything from where he was, he needed to get higher.
"Are you two faring well?" The Ice boy inquired. "Doing fine" Naraca replied simply in his low, gruff voice that had a slight growl behind it, keeping his eye's on the horizon around them.
He contemplated for a moment if it would be better to wait till dark before finding this city. Yet he had no idea how well guarded it was, or how smart this Cartel was. One thing was for sure though, they were outnumbered, and potentially even out classed. The client couldn't exactly give a full report on the Cartel forces and their training, however he said there were magic users, and men well armed and with weapons experience. Either way, this wasn't going to be an easy mission.
"See anything?" The girl inquired curiously as she turned to where Naraca was standing. His light brown eye's turned to her for a moment. His eye's still with a look of uncertainty in the girls presence. She was too young...Too young for this kind of thing.
"Hold on..." He mumbled in his growly voice.
Naraca had a lineage, a lineage with a long story behind, one he wasn't going let his mind delve into at the moment, but it gave him some abilities, one being quite passive that he never enjoyed using. Looking in one direction, his rose himself up on his toes, before getting to the very tips of his toes, then he rose a little higher. Now his feet dangled just above the sand. Yet he rose higher, and higher and higher. Floating in the air he ascended like he was on an elevator up to about 20 feet in the sky. As he did the desert laid itself before him, and surprisingly he could see there destination ahead just ahead, swarmed by heat waves from his point of view.
"They city is just ahead!" He called out to his comrades. "We could be there within the hour"
He descended to the ground before landing softly on the sand with not even a little noise as his feet were planted on the surface.

Kihia raised his eyebrow, So Naraca has the ability to fly? Hmmm that’s useful…. Kihia refocused himself and looked in the direction Naraca had indicated. So it isn’t that far at this point…, Kihia looked at Quincy, she had finished the jar of water Kihia had thrown her. Kihia sighed, he had about five jars of water left, and he then refocused his gaze to their future direction. Naraca came back down and landed, Kihia looked at him and nodded, “Nice work…” After a moment, Kihia looked at Quincy and then looked back the direction they were about to head. Kihia didn’t care if they wondered why he wasn’t full desert gear, he brought some eye protection but that is it. Kihia then nodded and said, “Let’s get going… we should try and find a vantage point before we try and infiltrate that city…”
Kihia started walking with his companions walking behind him, heading towards the ruins Naraca had spotted from the air. After roughly forty minutes of walking they finally got to where they could see the ruined city in some detail.
Kihia knelt down removing Icarus from his right shoulder and laid across his knee. He used a sand dune as cover so they couldn’t be spotted, I don’t see enemy watchmen… it shouldn’t have been this easy to approach the city without being spotted… Kihia stopped looking at the city for a moment. “Something isn’t right here…” he looked back at his companions and noticed someone running at them from behind ready to strike. Kihia tensed up, Not good! Kihia turned to start moving, and said "Ice Make...Spear Shield!" Kihia dashed forward as his shield formed, stopping roughly five feet from his companions. Quincy looked around to see what Kihia was talking about. She was completely lost when he said something about Naraca flying as she wasn't paying much attention while she should have been. She looked up to see him actually up there and left a face of complete awe. She looked into the direction they were talking about. "Well we know how he's getting in." She chuckled at her own joke slightly and continued even though Kihia was still talking"Anyways I think we bum rush them in hopes that they are not expecting us though. It would be nice if they just gave us the stuff and left. You know what I mean right? Just ask for it without having to figh....." She cut herself off as Kihia said something was amiss.
Quickly she watched Kihia jump behind them with his ice made shield readied. She turned to see several more men coming over. They were prettymuch surrounded with skilled looking men now circling them. Like that Quincy shut her mouth and made a face completely void of expression. She spread her arms as far away from her body and yelled in a tone that didn't seem like one she would ever make "Closed Circuit!" She clapped her hands together creating giant lightning arms extending off of her own for about three feet. She pulled her hands close to her body and entered a battle ready pose.
Nice work he says? Naraca sometimes had to remind himself that what he could do was not normal. Flying was something he could do from birth yet something he never enjoyed. Flying wasn't all it was cracked up to be once you got used it. It's only real privilege was that he offered you a place you could always go to to be alone if you needed a break. Of course it did wonders in combat, but just normally, the joy and experience of flying passes in just a couple years. He realized however his comrades hadn't seen him do it until now.
Looking towards Kihia Naraca could agree with infiltrating, in fact that was the best plan considering the Cartel vastly outnumbered and outgunned them. Yet his eyes narrowed when he heard Quincy suggest rushing in. This of course followed by her wish that they could just get the lacrima back simply by asking for it.
"If only it were always so..." Naraca turned his head to where Kihia was looking with an intense gaze.

A single Cartel Swordsmen fancying himself some kind of superhero decided he'd capitalize on his discovery of 3 intruders during his trip back from his job. He rushed after them alone with a sword drawn and a small lacrima in his hands. The intruders didn't see him, he got close, close enough to begin his attack. With a mighty heave he tossed the lacrima straight for the three of them. He could take them all out if he just was able to distract them. However one the intruders noticed him and a big shield made of ice suddenly sprung forth. The lacrima he threw smashed onto the shield and exploded in a big cloud of white smoke.

An enemy?! Here like this? What kind of fool was he? Naraca quickly took the strap that connected his cloak on his body and tore it off. Revealing his powerful, giant muscular body that had his great sword attached to his back. His eye's honed in on the single attacker, noticing only for a moment that Quincy summoned up a rather audacious spell. This man oddly didn't seemed followed by anyone else... "It's just one guy! Save your energy" He told them, referring of course to magical energy as he rushed right towards the smoke. He couldn't see where the man was however the smoke screen wasn't large as it mostly just surrounded Kihia and it grew. Yet he knew if this Cartel member was playing a game of smoke a mirrors, then he'd likely be going after Kihia as the smoke started to surround him. Naraca just had to stop him before that took place.
Jumping into the smoke, Naraca landed on Kiha's left, chances were the man thought he'd be attacking the Ice boy on his less dominant side. He couldn't see much in front of him however neither could the Cartel man. Being in smoke let you blind your opponent, yet from there you had to know where to go. So when Naraca was suddenly in front, the Cartel man had his blade drawn as he attempted to rush around Kiha to deal a killing blow. The man was just about to pass to Naraca's right when he heard the footsteps and saw the shimmer of the scimitar blade. Quickly the Naraca grabbed the mans sword hand with a strong grip, pulled him away from Kihia and then wrapped his second arm around the mans throat. Naraca lifted the man right up off the ground with the immense power of his choke hold and put the man to sleep quickly by using the man's own body weight to assist in the choke. Thankfully Naraca's sheer height and size allowed these kinds of things.
As the smoke cleared, the black haired wizard dropped the Cartel swordmen on the sand and looked down at him for a moment. "He was alone...?" He said quietly, yet somewhat loud enough for the others to hear if they were close enough. "Either way, we need to get out of here, and fast. Who knows how many more of these guys are nearby" He remarked as he walked over to where his cloak was, picking it up and dusting the sand off of it.
Little did he know, things were about the get a whole lot worse...
Kihia was taken aback from the cartel member throwing a smoke lacrima at his Ice shield. I didn’t see that coming… Kihia tensed up, sharpening his senses to try and detect the cartel member. Kihia felt a large person jump to his left side, that must be Naraca… Kihia refocused his senses on observing his right flank. He then heard choking sounds coming from Naraca’s direction, Kihia tensed and saw Naraca choking the cartel member has the smoke started to clear. “Thanks for the assist Naraca…” He watched as Naraca dropped the cartel member and say “He’s alone…?” Kihia frowned, that didn’t sit right with him. Kihia braced Icarus against his right arm with his ice shield still active and walked over to Quincy. He then heard Naraca say "Either way, we need to get out of here, and fast. Who knows how many more of these guys are nearby"
Kihia turned to Naraca after he said this and saw nine more cartel members coming out of hiding and rushing at them. He looked at Quincy and said “I am sorry about this…” Kihia then detached his ice shield from his weapon and pushed Quincy into it to let act as a sled down the sand dune towards the city. He noticed it had started to melt away has he pushed her into it. Quincy got lost in the smoke keeping her back to Kihia to protect his rear. She was not expecting to have a to fight in a cloud of smoke. She growled to herself silently waiting to see something hop up at her but nothing showed up. The smoke cleared and it would appear that her flying comrade took care of them. That was actually very impressive and she knew exactly why they brought him along.
Without even paying attention Kihia said he was sorry to her back to him until she felt something cold brush he off her feet and send her down the dunes towards the city. "Kihia I will have you dead when I get back up there. Better hide boy cause once I find you oh ho ho you are in for it. Mark my words ice boy." She was angry, but that might be part of the plan of theirs. But she had no idea because she was about to go blind rage on the next person she sees.
She landed in front of the city with her fists still intact and the ice shield fully melted. She could see several men at the gate but had no idea how strong they were and didn't care either. They were weak men hiding behind a locked door. Her closed circuit spell was still active and she knew that too. She jumped up and started pounding on the door. Punch after punch the hinges started to break off, but the door was gonna break before they do. "OPEN UP OR I WILL DO IT FOR YOU!" She exclaimed as the door burst open emitting purple static from it.
This was turning out bad real fast. Shortly after picking up his cloak, he found himself dropping it again as 9 more Cartel swordsmen popped up from the sand very close to their position. This was an ambush, and that scout was sent out just to see how tough they were...
And they now knew the magic that two of them used...
This was bad, they had to act fast.
The nine Cartel swordsmen all pulled out small blue lacrima from pouches and tossed them at the group. Naraca saw them as Kihia kicked down his shield to get Quincy out. Good, Kihia seemed to be the type to react to imminent danger like this, not panic and freeze up. Naraca lifted his hand up on the hilt of his blade, took grip, then lunged forward towards the incoming lacrima. He then pointed his fingers with his other hand at the lacrima, saying:
"Bone manipulation" He muttered before deep holes formed on his fingertips and five white bullets shot out and hit 5 lacrima dead on, he used his other hand to perform the same action to destroy the rest of the lacrima. They all exploded into a massive cloud of smoke that no doubt would halt the Cartel swordsmen for a moment as there lacrima ended up exploding in their face's. Using what little time he had he turned his head to Kihia.
"Get to the city!" Naraca barked to Kihia "Quincy will die if she's there alone, I'll hold these guys off"
Naraca didn't like his odds, not one bit, he was a D-ranked wizard going into a battle against 9 very tough swordsmen. However what these men did not know was that while Naraca was just beginner in magic, he was an expert in physical combat. He ultimately wouldn't be able to convince the ice boy to go or not, one way or another though these 9 men had to be dealt with. If they ran away from them and into the city they'd be cornered by the rest of the men inside. This was the only way.
Grabbing his cloak off the ground, he placed his hand on the hilt of his great sword and rushed towards the giant smoke cloud.

Outmatched these Cartel swordsmen had these intruders. There was no way just three of them could take on nine men trained in the art of swordplay. However the sudden explosion of all of there lacrima before they reached there target was unsettling. Yet what they were about to see was much worse...
A loud growl was coming from the smoke, it sounded like a lion was behind the white mist. They had there swords at the ready and awaited for the beast to emerge. Straight from the very middle of the smoke cloud, there first came the wild black hair and red head band of a man with feral look of a monster on his face. His teeth clenched and eyes narrow as he emerged from the smoke it trailed off his body. What's more was he was coming from above them with a mighty jump and was coming straight down for them. The giant, wild looking man pulled out a raw black sword that was bigger than most of the cartel swordsmen. The men all backed away instinctively at this sudden appearance in addition the site of the sword. One of the swordsmen however was unphased by this and chose to step forward and ready his sword.

As he pulled his sword out, he lifted his arm upwards to pull the blade out and bring down like a hammer on the man that chose to be brave in the site of a beast of battle. The Cartel swordsmen lifted his sword up prepared to block the great sword coming to his head. The massive blade was brought down and rammed on the Cartel's blade, smashing right through it and cutting into the man. Crushing him into the sand with a loud boom. The other men jumped back to gain some distance. Yet once Naraca landed two men attacked his right and left. Quickly, with the cloak he held in his other hand he tossed it at the man on his left as the swordsmen came in mid-lunge with his blade. The blade stabbed through the brown fabric yet covered the mans face. Turning to his right Naraca one handed a might horizontal swing which the swordsmen ducked underneath and charged right in, however the giant man did not stop his momentum and he let his blade carry his body into a spin and he lifted his leg up and slammed his shin into the cartel man's head with a mighty roundhouse which caused him to fall onto his side.
The other man who was struggling with the cloak was able to tear it off his body however the moment he was able to regain his bearings he faced a devastating swing of a sword to his legs, knocking on the ground before having Naraca's foot smash into his face, rending him unconscious. The rest of the men were in awe for a moment at the sudden burst of movement, however their training kicked in and the they all charged straight for there single opponent.
Naraca took a couple steps back, the smoke cloud just touching his back. He got his great ready before preparing for the hard part of this battle.
Kihia nodded at Naraca when he told him to go help Quincy, “I will, don’t die on us now…” Kihia started to run down the sand dune but stopped after a minute. I can help them both with this… Kihia held Icarus out in front of him with one tip one inch from the sand, “Ice Make…Terrain!!” a sheet of ice formed underneath Kihia and expanded outward covering the a large expanse of the area. Kihia focused his on his companions to form ice spikes on their feet to help with keeping traction on the ice that now covered the entire range of where everyone was. Kihia had started to slide down the sand dune from the new formed Ice sheet, Good luck Naraca may this spell aid you immensely…
Kihia started to skate down the sand dune, he saw that Quincy had foolishly knocked down the door and there were ten more cartel members struggling to come out. I have to hurry, I don’t want to leave Quincy down there alone for too much longer… Kihia then picked up speed and yelled “Quincy get down!” after he said this he jumped into the air and flew towards the group. “Ice make… Spear!” Kihia flew over Quincy from the momentum, and rammed into one of the cartel members that was struggling on the ice. Kihia quickly used the moment to get two quick slices on each of the cartel members who were trying to find their footing on the ice. Kihia then looked at Quincy and said “I know you are probably mad at, me but reserve you energy for the enemy…and…I am sorry for pushing you down the sand dune…” After that Kihia started moving again to start attacking… OOC Character Report: Kihia: Health: 100% Mana:81% 3 posts until 10% regen: Active Spells: Ice Make: Terrain: three more posts, Ice Make: Spear one more post Cooldowns: Ice Make Spear Shield: three posts

Once the door burst open ten men were behind it. She growled even more and tapped her ankles bending down, lighting them up with her lighting spell Tesla Hunter. While activating it she heard her friend Kihia come running in from the mountain. After shortly listening to his explanation on why she should not pound his face in she decided she was going to save it for later. [color=violet]"You better watch out cause I am extremely angry and these guys are going to have to pay for your mistake.
She popped her neck and placed her arms crossed against her chest while starting to yell. "THUNDER CRASHER!" After announcing that her entire body turned to lightning and she sprinted into the center of the group and jump up quickly shouting out again "Auto Cycle!" A large pulse of lightning danced into the area knocking every single person save Kihia down and out unable to fight back. She landed on the ground while losing the effects of tesla hunter and closed circuit. That was something she was willing to deal with because she still had thunder crasher active. She stood back up and brushed herself off while still emmiting short bursts of lightning but not enough to hurt anyone near them. "Don't cross me or it will be you next time"

Taking out a single man? No problem, taking out three men? A hard job but doable. Taking out nine men take away two just now? That was an interesting question no doubt. How could he take them all out on such uncooperative terrain? The sand prevented all foot work and while one might think Naraca could just mow them all down with his sword, sadly these men weren't some training dummies that would stand still and take everything thrown at them. No, these were trained, hardened swordsmen that knew and had experience fighting users of a great sword. In fact these Cartel Swordsmen were the long time members of the Cartel that carved their own path in crime with their own physical fighting prowess. In great numbers ever able to give wizards a run for there money. Naraca's magical ability was no where near capable of dealing with all of them, and on the sand, he wasn't able to utilize proper footwork to fight them all physically.
This was going to be tricky...
"Ice Make...Terrain!!" Kihia yelled before he departed.
Hearing this followed by the forming of ice he turned his head for a moment to see a sheet of ice practically shoot underneath his feet. The sudden change of ground caused him to almost lose his balance for a moment before he was able to find traction underneath his feet through the ice spikes Kihia made on his feet. He quickly was able to stand firmly on his two feet, while the Cartel Swordsmen was still staggering and finding there ground.
Was this really Kihia's doing? The black haired giant would have to remember the ice boy when they got out of this.
With a smile on one corner of his mouth he turned to face the six men that were left. He couldn't them all find there balance right away, he'd act now, and fast.
Holding his greatsword with one hand, he dashed after the closed swordsmen who was still slipping on the ice. Naraca ran right up to him, pulled his left fist back, and shot it towards the man who attempted to block the incoming fist with a sloppy lift of his arm. Naraca's fist slipped right passed it and cracked the Cartel man's jaw. His body flew forward a couple feet and he hit his head on the ice as he fell, knocking him unconscious.
Immediately after the punch Naraca charged two more men. Both saw the result of there comrade and prepared themselves on slipping feet. They were aware they didn't have the advantage of foot but they still held the advantage in numbers. So while Naraca charged two men, the rest all began to race after him. While it was slippery, they were still able to move a somewhat decent pace. Naraca shot his great sword in a stabbing motion which the swordsman was able to parry to the side. Naraca quickly took a step back and pulled his head up, avoiding the edge of a scimitar sword almost lopping his head off. His blade still being forward and beside the swordsmen he was able to turn his body and pulled the blade right into the mans shins which smashed him off his feet to make a hard landing into the ice.
With 4 men behind him and one in front of him. He quickly raised his sword up and blocked an incoming attack by the man in front of him and placed his foot on the Cartel soldier he had used knocked down and with a hard pull with his hamstring on his thigh he forced the swordsmen to slide right towards the other four men. He passed right underneath one man, knocking him over, another's foot was clipped and made him fall on his knee's while the other two were able to catch him and stop his motion all together.
In front of him, Naraca used his sword like a shield and upon stopping the sword of the man in front of him, he shoved the wide end of his blade forward to smack into the swordsmen. However this swordsmen was coordinated, and upon the beginning of the shield bash he placed his free hand on the blade, and slide right to Naraca's side and slash at his back. Naraca, while surprised was able to reach his long arm out catch the man's elbow, which stopped most of the force, causing the blade to bounce off of Naraca's back with only a minor cut. Fortunately, he was still a huge guy, and that had it's perks.
After catching the sword his quickly reverse gripped his great sword and rammed the back of the hilt into the cartel swordsmen's ribs, hearing a few cracks upon impact. He turned his head and saw two men in coming behind him. He quickly lifted his leg up and side kicked the swordsmen with the broken ribs in the stomach so he would fall over. One of the men behind him slashed up at his head. As Naraca spun around he ducked underneath the blade, but not before a second man suddenly jumped on his back and got one arm around his neck before attempting to press his sword on the big man's throat. Naraca quickly grabbed the man's arm that was around his neck and was about to throw him off when the swordsmen that was still in front of him swung his sword at Naraca's thigh. Unprepared for it, the blade found it's mark and cut into his leg, causing him to fall on one knee and feel a blade on his throat.
In a single second he was gonna die, he had to act fast.
Using all his strength he shot his body straight backwards, his back, and the man clinging onto it, smashing deep into the ice. The man on his back was knocked unconscious instantly from the immense impact. A third man was able to make it to Naraca's side as he was on the ground and attempted to impale Naraca by lunging his blade straight down. He quickly rolled out of the way as it stuck into the ice, but not before the man that slashed his thigh caught up with and also attempted to stab him. While on his side the man that attempted to stab him also came after him with a big downwards swing. The black haired beast kicked his long leg forward and buried it into the man's stomach as he came in, knocking him back while lifted his sword up and narrowly stopping the second sword with a loud ping.
Quickly Naraca rolled backward and on one knee, but not before a fourth man came with a horizontal swing at his head. He dipped his body down, his chest almost touching the ice. Followed by lunging his body forward and smashing his shoulder into the waist of the swordsmen who just tried to decapitate him. Just in time as well, the blade of one swordsmen who quickly caught up just barely scrapped his back with another downward swing.
With a growl he used his free hand to wrap his arm around the leg of the man he just tackled and took a few steps forward before lifting him right off the ground and standing up fully before turning around to face the other three. With the one Cartel member on his shoulder Naraca quickly spun around once to gain momentum before with a mighty toss he threw the man hard into two other swordsmen, knocking them both down on the ice and leaving only one.
The one that still stood attacked with a very intense and angry expression. He slashed at Naraca violently, each attack being blocked by the black greatsword.
"Die damn it just die!!" The swordsmen cried as he swung as hard as he could but could find no opening in the big man's defense. Naraca was able to use the greatsword as if it was as light as a rapier. Eventually, Naraca swung hard against the man's blade and smacked it right out of his hand. The swordsmen had little time to react before he suddenly felt a strong tightness around his neck. The beast gripped the mans neck tightly and it was like a vice with such a powerful grip.
"I can't...Not on my first mission" Naraca replied with a low yet slightly sarcastic tone before he forced the man's to the ground head first and smashed the back of the man's head on the ice and knocked him out cold.
The three swordsmen that were all knocked down had long since recovered and got up to all charge Naraca at once. Three head on...Although there were a few ways to go about this, he decided to charge them head on as well. Would it be another tough battle that would end up in another close call? Not quite. Upon getting close to them, Naraca took advantage of the size of his great sword and turned the blade broadside before taking a powerful swing. The sheer width gave them no time to jump over, and nowhere near enough room to duck. The first man chose to duck, he had his head and shoulder take the impact, the second chose to jump, his waist and legs were hit by the first man was still carried by the sword. The third man attempted to stop the blade, however his two friends smacked into him along with the sword, causing all three of them to be shot forward in all different directions and hit the ice with a hard impact before sliding on it for a few feet.
There...Finally. Naraca took a single deep breath to collect himself before looking back towards the city and realizing his comrades would need his help for the rest of the mission. He wasted no time and right away, with his sword in his right hand he made a sprint straight for the city.
Kihia looked hard at Quincy, “You may not have noticed, but there were nine more cartel members up there…I pushed you down the sand dune to make sure you were out of harm’s way…” Kihia paused for a moment and skated to the doorway, “Naraca told me to go ahead and make sure you were safe, he stayed up there-“ Kihia stopped when he saw Naraca sprinting down the ice covered sand dune, Kihia frowned, because he had noticed the Naraca had gotten hit more than a few times in his skirmish. “Naraca you are hurt… get in here and rest a minute.” Kihia motioned him inside, We should have five minutes at the most until cartel reinforcements arrive. Kihia stared at Naraca, he had a bad cut on one of his thighs. “Naraca sit down somewhere…” Kihia looked around the room, looking for something he can fashion into bandages for Naraca.
Kihia then got an idea; he walked over to one of the unconscious cartel members and, took off the man’s desert gear. Kihia started to rip into long strips and bandaged up Naraca’s thigh to stop the bleeding. Kihia then stood up dusting off his pants, he then looked at Naraca and then at Quincy. "We need to move to a different location, cartel reinforcements will be here shortly…” After Kihia said this he extended his left hand out to offer to help him up.

Quincy glared at Kihia who told her about the nine more men. She waved her arms to point out the ten men who were taken down by her single handedly. "As you can see that I can take care of myself. Though In about thirty minutes I am going to crash so we need to hurry up and take out the king or else I am not going to be of much use to you." Purple lightning still arced off her body and most of her body looked like it was actually made of it. The spell she used, thunder crasher, probably the strongest thing she had, wass too powerful for her own good and that by the time the effects wear off she is drained of nearly all of her magical power. Something that she hope she didn't have to deal with. Because in all honesty she probably could not fight things with just her fist just yet. If she was going to be of any use she needs to be holding a weapon and she may just need to pick one up from the cartel members. She went over and tried to pick one up but the lightning arcing from her body repelled it away. Now they were in trouble if they didn't finish this mission soon.

The sprint wasn't as long as it felt. With each step of his wounded leg he could feel the blood trickling down his skin. However he did not allow himself to feel the pain. In fact he was able to shut the pain off completely, yet he was not stupid. This was not an injury he'd wanna fight with if he could help it. For what was to come he knew he'd need to be at full strength. He'd gotten this far without using anything but a single spell, yet he knew it couldn't remain that way forever.
Upon arriving at the city he saw just how ancient it was. The place was abandoned, officially anyway. Each building was looked like it was made of sand. The city wasn't as large as he might have thought, however it covered at least a couple miles. The place was pretty big needless to say, this lacrima, and the boss of the place could be anywhere.
Seeing the rest of his team inside one of the building he arrived to find several downed Cartel swordsmen, this place was full of these guys. Yet Quincy and Kihia seemed to hold up alright without him. Arriving he stopped and took some deep, but controlled breaths. "The ambush was taken care of." He informed them. He didn't hold any confidence in his voice, it was something that was needed to be done and he didn't look for praise for his actions. Kihia's eyes however were on his leg, he looked down at it himself, seeing it was somewhat deep at it was a direct hit. He didn't feel like sitting down and resting but he wasn't stubborn when it came to these kind of things. If they had a little time then he'd take it.
Looking for a place to sit he found only a dusty bench that was knocked over during the fight from earlier. He rested his great sword against the bench as he waited for the ice boy to get what was necessary for the cut He let Kihia dress his wound. It took him no time at all, and as he did there was not a single sound or flinch that was made.
Following Kihia words in that they needed to move, Naraca thought about it for a moment, first that came to his mind was that they were here to retrieve that lacrima, not run and defend themselves. They'd need to be on the offensive. Quincy didn't have long wiht her impressive lightning abilities, he understood that she'd be getting weak soon.
He stood up on his feet, testing his leg out a little bit. It would hold up well for now.
"What we need is a location, we need to know where this lacrima is, or where the boss is. We can't just run around fight them constantly. We could always get our hands on someone, make them talk" He explained as a suggestion.
More enemies were closing in on there position, it wasn't going to be long at all now before they arrived.
Kihia frowned, he didn’t like the idea but knew that it was the best course of action, he looked out the side door. He heard a few large groups of people heading their way, It seems they have found a way to travel across the ice with little issue… Kihia looked at his two companions, Naraca was injured and wasn’t going to be able to fight to his fullest, Quincy had a spell constantly active and seemed to be draining herself of her magic power. Kihia frowned, I have to use that spell…I will not let my friends get hurt too much more… Kihia then laid Icarus against the wall, “The cartel reinforcements are arriving faster than I anticipated, I am going to help stall them but I need you to be cover me for a moment… Do not do anything reckless…after I come out of here and engage fall back and rest for a moment.”
Kihia put both of his hands on the ground and said, “Ice Make…Spear Trap”, outside one could hear the ice cracking as if something was coming out of it, The ice spears now block of the alley ways…this should force the cartel members to advance to us from one direction… Kihia nodded, He looked at his companions and picked Icarus back up. “I will join you in battle after a moment…” Kihia paused for a moment, he looked down for a moment. Kihia was still uncomfortable at the thought of using that spell around others… He quickly shook his head and continued “I have set up the street outside so they only can come at you from one direction, unless they try and break through my ice… be safe and act smart.” Kihia then stepped aside and held Icarus against his right arm, and started to build up the magic power he needed, as he did this the air around him started to fog around him due to his magic power building… It is time… I cast aside my fears…and stay true to my vow… OOC Character Report: Kihia: Health: 100% Mana:71% 1 post until 10% regen: Active Spells: Ice Make: Terrain: one more posts, Cooldowns: Ice Make Spear Shield: one post, Ice Make: Spear one post

Quincy started to panic as she saw several men start to surround the building they were in. 'Crap baskets! I can't do any of my spells! what do I do!' She started pacing back and for wondering what she could do. Then it came to her and she started running to the door and slammed it while placing a bright purple rune on it that faded. after that she ran to the opposite side of the room and placed another rune on it. She started circling around waiting. This was not a spell she used lightly. She actually never used it at all. Not even to practice. Her last resort was a spell she had no experience with and that was the only thing she could do. "Alright if we pass this one of you two are buying me a nice fancy sack of potatoes alright. Besides we are pretty screwed here anyways so might as well get the hang of it." She looked at Naraca to see his leg all bloodied, she almost fell over but she caught herself. Blood was not a thing she was all to friendly with. She shook her head to get rid of the nausea and regained composure and started heading to one of the side walls.
So, things really got this bad so quickly? It was hard to believe almost less then an hour ago he the three of them were well hidden and scoping out the city. Yet here they were seemingly backed into a corner and with over 15 members of the Cartel bearing down on them. One hell of a first mission to say the least...
Naraca was hoping to do this without using any magic, he never liked the stuff, the magic he had wasn't natural and something he didn't choose to have. To him a curse rather then a gift. Yet here he was now, put in a position where he might end up having to use it. With his giant sword in his hand he knew if there was any magic to be used, he'd try and keep it to just the perks he had on his sword. The place where they were an unfortified, exposed lobby of some old building. Perhaps some sorta temple even, there was no way to tell as the place was bare bones. Either way it had openings all over the place and it wasn't somewhere they should stay.
Kihia however was able to make things a little easier as he created ice spikes to block off many of the entry points, in fact, he managed to block all but one. Naraca couldn't help but feel an admiration for Kihia's magic, Ice Maker Magic was quite handy and versatile. Looking towards Quincy as her magic had worn off he felt concerned for her as she now seemed so frail as just a little girl. You'd never guess she was so small were it not for her powerful magic. She seemed to be preparing something though, it involved two odd looking purple runes. Some sorta spell? Maybe so, he trusted whatever she was gonna do but he'd make sure to keep an eye on her.
So...Kihia was preparing some sorta spell as well, did it involved his bandaged arm? So there was something up with it after all wasn't there...
Quincy having only those purple runes, and Kihia needing time, it looked like Naraca would have to take the brunt of the numbers until they were ready. Granted he didn't know what the purple runes did, but he wasn't about to overestimate them until he saw what they could do. For now, he'd take on the incoming force. He lifted his great sword up, resting it on his shoulder he walked over towards the only opening that the Cartel members would be forced to go through. He stood dead center in the middle and waited.
"I guess I'll hold them back, I'll keep as many of them busy as I can. Just let me know when you two are ready" He remarked as he looked straight ahead, hearing the rumble of footsteps as they came closer. With his other hand lightly patted his wound, letting no pain surge as he flexed his thigh muscle.
It wasn't so bad...
"Try to keep one of them awake, we need to get one of them to tell us where the lacrima is, the rest we do what's necessary" He added coldly, yet excitement was an undertone in his voice. Spending most of his life training in combat, he'd be lying if he said he hated fighting. He loved it in fact, it was killing that he hated. So far he had gone this far without killing any of the Cartel gangsters, yet with numbers like this he wasn't too sure, yet he'd do what he could nevertheless.
Seeing the men approaching he spread his legs into a lower stance and prepared himself.
"Get ready!" He barked seriously to stress they were moments away.
Letting his magical energy flow into his sword, he could feel the lacrima's within his blade vibrate as they came alive and heated his blade. He'd let them come closer, as close as possible. They all charged through the straight and forward, with just Naraca in front of them. He know he wouldn't be able to stop them all, he'd have to trust Kihia and Quincy to stop the one's that would no doubt squeeze through.
As they got closer, Naraca's sword grew hotter, and with that the blade started to glow with an orange tint. He lifted it a little off his shoulder so as not to burn himself. It was close, in fact...Right about...Now
With the several blades of the Cartel gangsters coming to be within just inch's of his face, Naraca raised his sword up in the air and brought it down on the ground. The blade slamming into the ground with a sudden fiery explosion that was actually not that big, but very hot and loud, throwing the Cartel off guard. Yes this was the great swords function, the fire lacrima inside allowed it to cause an explosion upon contact.
The Cartel jumped back from the sudden blaze, letting Naraca slam the blade on the ground two more time, causing the hallway to rumble slightly and some rubble to drop down from the ceiling and bonk the heads of a few unsuspecting gangsters. Naraca wasn't planning on trying to take them all on, he was just trying to buy time, even if that including scaring them to halt their advance.
"Come on! Afraid of a little fire?!" He taunted with a growl. Normally never the type to taunt or act cocky, he did this for the sake of the strategy rather then his own desire.
While they were caught off guard by this sudden move, some members with their courage still in there hearts decided to continue the charge. It was 4 Cartel swordsmen and one weak newbie trying to impress the senior members. Naraca's eye's darted to them and he rushed forward. He knew some would likely pass him now, however he'd stop as many as possible. As he rushed he stabbed his sword into the ground, dragging it across the old flooring that ignited into a trail of flame that follow the tip of his blade. This no doubt to would block more from moving forward. He then began to engage the 5 men, knowing full well some other men would pass by. He'd just have to trust his team from here as he'd take on the brunt of the pack until they were ready with there spells.
OOC Note: start the epic music of your choice.....Now xD OOC Note v2: please note that you will not be able to distinguish the right arm is made out of ice until the spell fades. Kihia took a deep breath, the spell was ready…and just in time. Quincy had started forming runes in the room, while Naraca had gone out to fend off a bulk of the enemies. The ice sheet will be fading in a few seconds…with it…the ice spikes. Kihia gently nodded… It was time; Kihia looked forward, his face full of determination, “Ice Make…Knight!!” Kihia stood there for a moment as the armor quickly formed, the bandages on his right arm started to fall off due to the armor forming out of his arm. Kihia looked towards the door as four cartel members had started to rush in after they had by passed Naraca.
Without wasting another second Kihia engaged them, using the glaive blade on Icarus to make three cuts each on the three cartels swordsmen inhibiting them from being able to continue fighting. Kihia then glared at the remaining Cartel member who ran in, he seemed to have recently joined them, “If you want to fight me…so be it…but if you don’t…then run…” He watched as the cartel recruit ran out of the door in fear, Kihia nodded and then faced the wall, I need to draw…attention to myself…. Kihia paused for a moment and looked over to Quincy, “Stay here until you are able to fight…” Kihia then braced himself readying to charge forward.
Kihia charged forward, busting through the wall to get to Naraca. As Kihia charged he saw Naraca fighting five members of the cartel, and then directed himself towards the group. Kihia rammed into one of the cartel members but with how fast he was going he collided with all five of them and then crashed through another wall. Kihia stopped for a moment and turned to his right and then launched himself through another part of the wall toward the incoming cartel members. That should draw their attention to me…

'Ice make sheet whats he talking about?' She looked down to notice the entire place had ice covered in it. How long was that there? Oh well she had more important things to do, like catch up to Kihia. She wasn't sure if he could handle himself. She worried that he might get himself hurt because she drained her strength away when she activated thunder crasher. Then she realized that she could still punch things without using closed circuit. She sprinted out the door yelling "Naraca if you need me call my name and I will be here instantly." After exiting through the building she saw the trail of destruction. At this point there was no way that she was going to be able to catch up to Kihia but she could catch the recruit that ran away.
She saw him peek his head around the corner and sprinted after him leaving a bright purple trail of her lightning. The recruit scream for her to stop that he gives up but he never stopped running. "I just want to talk to you!" She yelled again as she tackled him and rolled him on his back while still sitting on his chest. She held up a fist ready to punch his face in "Tell me where are you keeping the lacrima. If you tell me I will be prompted to not punch you into the ground." The cartel recruit just pointed to the building next to them with a shaky finger. She smiled and placed a rune on his chest saying " Better not be lying or its your unlucky day."
