Late Night with Kichi

As you may know, about a week or so ago, I created "Late Night with Kichi": a talk show that gives recognition to any character interested in partaking as a guest. Now, I've come to realize that Sorcerer's Weekly, the other segment that gives recognition to characters, has hit a great decline. I bring forth this suggestion today to see if members are interested in seeing my talk show replace Sorcerer's Weekly.

Now, mind you, while the show runs as a sort of fun factor to the site in the Miscellaneous Discussions, it could become a lot more professional if the talk show were to become an official part of this site. The episodes could become longer in length, bigger, and more eventful. Who knows? Maybe with the cooperation of staff, we could even have gifts included for those who participate in the show (minor ones of course(and I don't mean to put staff on the spot)). What do you think?

Should "Late Night with Kichi" replace Sorcerer's Weekly?

In all honesty, while it is a good idea. I don't think that your show go past anything but Misc. The reason being, why have Sei ( or any other staff member ) take time out of his/their already busy schedule to form a forum for you, with awesome gfx and such, and you to do it for a month and then disappear. The site goes through phases, and this is just one of them. After a while, one will get tiring and rather boring.

Sure you may get more people involved right now, but it wont last forever. You have a good thing going, but it wont go too far.

P.S this is opinion biased an i do not want any comments lashed at me for it, thank you and have a nice day ^^

Forgive me, but I must debate that comment for the following reasons:

1) Who is too say that my show will die in a month? As you can see, I'm trying my best to have it progress already, and as I've been told when I first-registered the site, and even you said it, it's a good idea. People love good ideas, and as long as I commit, the show will not go down. Simplest to say this is how it works with life, in general. If you commit to whatever paths you take in life, you will progress. That is exactly what I'm going to do with my show.

2) Making a Forum: Time is taken out of everyone's hands to do something. I am simply trying to gather the cooperation of staff to work with me, and hopefully, if this suggestion is approved, make "Late Knight with Kichi" an official segment of the site.

3) Design: I'm not asking for this for free. There will be rewards to whomever does this for me if the show is to become an official part of the site (outside of Misc.)

4) My show is meant to be distinct with its material every passing episode. Guaranteed, this is what I hope will keep it lively.

5) Nothing lasts forever, which is why I'm going to dedicate a major part of my time to keep this show going. I promised the same thing when I first-applied for my moderator position; to devote a major part of my time to the site and my fellow members. I will do exactly the same on this show.


Now, to avoid making you think you're being lashed, I would actually like to applaud you for bringing up the questions. Thanks to you, I was able to bring up these responses, which I hope others will regard when they see the suggestion I have made, and consider potentially adding the talk show to the other material this site has to offer. It's also good to be truthful, so do not think you can be lashed for that.

Please leave more questions, comments, concerns, and I'll be glad to address them.

I dont think this is a good idea. While your talk show can be more frequent and is more active overall, Sorc. magazine covers more than just individual characters. Like, events, guild happenings, plus members.

I do think Late Night should or can become a bigger or official though. I like the idea, but not to replace sorc mag. I wish they'd actually come out with them though :L

I appreciate your comment, though who's to say I can't add that too? Late Night with Kichi is a talk show after all, and though it's currently made solely for individuals, I can always add more material to it. Of course, I can't talk about members because this is an IC thing, which of course means I can't add OOC material.

Because it *is* a talk show, I doubt you'd have a way to squeeze in ways to find out about various guilds and happenings other than asking for the interviewees opinion on the subject. Or asking them about their guild/affiliation, which would lead to bias information as opposed to a magazine that -tries- to have unbiased info and say things from an outsiders perspective.

Of course I can't discuss confidential information (pardon me for sounding aggressive, that'd just be inappropriate. It's not a matter of squeezing in material, but rather adding in material. With longer shows, I can both discuss matters directly concerning characters, or indirectly concerning certain events that vary to...who knows what? This is also included on talk shows. People are notified of several things on a talk show. No to mention I can add monologues, reports, etc.

My argument for Zen. Sorc Magazine is inconsistent in its availability from one issue to the next. I have yet to see a new article since my joining (late last year). Kichi could do more stuff but overall and be like a journalist than a just talk show host.

Either way Kichi is doing stuff and sorc magazine is doing nothing.

Let's not start arguments in suggestion threads, now- crazy ones, at least. I suppose the only thing I should be looking for now is either an approval or denial.
