Entrance of the New Guild Master

“Ahh. How am I supposed to get there on time?!?! Ahh….Where’s the guild hall again??” A slightly high pitched and feminine voice asked while walking through the streets of Magnolia. The voice came from a confused looking young woman with a brown cloak on her shoulders, which covered her back and upper body from view. Her hair was a shiny white, and her eyes were hazelnut brown. The only clothing visible that she had on was her brown boots and part of what appeared to be a white shirt of some sort. She had a black bag slung over her shoulder which she was holding the strap to, and her eyes seemed generally lost as she was trying to figure out something.

“Wait. I think I see it over there!” She exclaimed as her eyes had roamed over to a large building and lit up in happiness.The white haired mage began a sprint while The young woman was Chikane, otherwise known as Noriko Hitsugaya. She had been looking for a specific guild hall, for one of the most well known guild’s in all of Fiore.

Fairy Tail.

At first, when the young girl had heard of what she was to become to Fairy Tail she was skeptical. There was no way that the former guild master had just up and left. Without even appointing a new guild master. Chikane had denied the idea up and down until it became annoying to even herself, so she just had to believe it. The guild hadn’t been without a guild master for long, but they needed one. The Magic Council had searched for a while, and then they had come up with the best possible candidate out of all the mages they had looked at.

Noriko Hitsugaya, also known as Chikane.

Chikane was flattered that she had been picked. She was going to become the guild master of the guild she wanted to join when she got strong enough in her own eyes. Of course this had meant that while she traveled to Magnolia, she was training extra hard in order to bring herself to a reasonable point of strength. Chikane was in the best shape of her young life, and now she was here in Magnolia ready to prove that she was indeed the best choice.

Chikane eventually made it to the Fairy Tail guild hall, and was eventually standing in front of the doors that would lead her into the guild. Of course the doubts had begun to flood her mind at that exact moment, what might be the reactions of the members when she told them that she was their new leader. They might attack, call her unworthy, or even at the worst, ignore her. This might have been a bad idea, this might not go the way that the Magic Council wanted it to. Chikane might lose any chance of ever gaining the respect of the guild if she walks in as their new guild master.

And yet, she was going to do it. Because Noriko Hitsugaya never gave up, and Chikane never gives up.

Pushing open the doors, Chikane was greeted by the sounds of loud conversation. The white haired mage looked around to see that everyone in her view was talking. The doors shut behind her as she walked towards the bar, looking around to see if anyone would notice her. At the current moment, the answer was a resounding ‘no’.

But she was almost certain that was going to change soon.

Live at the guild went on as usual, people were talking loudly and having fun. A bit to much in Augusts opinion however since he loved this place he took it for what it is. Knowing that he never could really change this place. So as usual August would spend his time at the bar, which he was leaning with his back against while he looked around the guild. Scanning the room for someone who he could put in an awkward position, only so that he could have some fun out of it or in this case. Blackmail them, so that they could do the guild tasks that he was supposed to do this week.
It was a rather questionable character trait that always hid behind the calmness of his face.

Yet when looking around the guild he found no one of interest, at least not interesting or dumb enough to fall for his tricks. As every one knew that it was his turn on the roster. But in the moment he thought about giving up and return home a new person entered the hall. Someone he hadn't seen before.
'Hmm a new recruit huh.. hehe she just might be the one I need'

The white haired girl, that appeared a bit scruffy in August eyes. Which was mostly caused by her brown cloak. Just happened to approach the bar, just a few steps away from himself. This however was the perfect chance for August to trick her in doing his choirs.
'My my, aren't you a sight for sore eyes huh. I take it you are here to join this bunch of rabble'
A warm and gentle smile appeared on his calm face, yet eyes twinkled a bit. Giving away that he was up to something.
'Because if you are, I must tell you that there is a initiating process before you can join up'

Naziel was watching Peep, his Exceed and best friend flying round in a frenzy much to everyones amusement as he had eaten a particularly hot chili and was now charging around looking for water as the small cat was knocking over pints, food and knocking into everyone. Naziel was chasing after him in an attempt to stop the chaos; " Come back here fur-ball!" He called after him as Peep continued to charge around; " HOT, HOT, HOT NAZZY! HOOOOOOOOT!" He wailed as he dived head first into a bowl of milk.

Naziel growled at the chaos and was suddenly hit with a punch from one of the guild members; "Hey Peep knocked over my drink Lizard-boy!" He put his head to Naziel's; " Hey don't start anything with me you bastard!" Naziel dived in and before long it was a massive ball of FT members cascading to join in the guild wide punch up before Naziel got kicked out landing next face first to the floor before looking up to see the new person as he looked up at her; " Hey.. You're new! Hey pack it in you lot we got company!" Naziel's voice was like a mega phone as he roared over the noise seeing the massive ball stop suddenly followed by laughter and more singing and drinking as if nothing had happened. Naziel pushed himself up and brushed himself up before looking back at the new girl;" Nice too meet ya, I'm Naziel, one of the members of Fairy Tail... Don't worry about them, they're just working off some steam." He shook a thumb at the ruckus crowd before being smashed in the head by Peep as he dribbled milk onto Naziel's shirt; "Peep... You're drooling on me..." The vein in Naziel's head began to pulse as his gore red eyes looked at the Exceed who merely gave  a cheeky grin before patting him on the head a few times; " This... Is Peep... My so called best friend. Say hi Peep." Peep looked up and began to wave one paw overly excentrically and wouldn't stop... Eventually Naziel slowly lifted his arm to grab the paw mid shake; " I Think that's enough buddy." He whispered.

He looked at August, to whom he had ignored until now but he eyed him for a moment before patted him on the shoulder; " You wouldn't be trying to get her into trouble with one of your tricks would you August? That wouldn't go down well... Will it." Naziel's Deep red eyes had a menacing look in them as well as his mischievous grin on his face.

Chikane’s attention had turned to her left, where a blonde haired male who was wearing what appeared to be robes had began to speak to her. She was slightly miffed that he had called her a sight for sore eyes, but given her appearance that was to be slightly expected. The man appeared to tell Chikane something about initiation, which had her slightly baffled. The white haired demon had no clue that Fairy Tail required some sort of initiation to join, which only would make it harder for her to prove herself to these guys. Her face slightly took on a look of terror as she was about to respond to the man.

A crash came from her right, and she turned her attention to see a young white haired male with red eyes stand up and introduce himself to her. She didn’t know who this Naziel was, but he appeared to be quite the character if his exceed was anything to go by. The cute cat waved frantically to her before his owner had to settle him down, but Chikane replied in kind with a small wave and a smile to the cat.

Apparently, according to Naziel, the blonde male was going to attempt to get her in some trouble. While Chikane would normally kick the man in his family jewels for that, she had a better idea; Save the thought of him attempting to trick her and make his life a living hell in the future when it came to his exams. But for now, Chikane would act none the wiser and instead try to get these two to give her some information.

“Um. Mr. Naziel and Mr. August? This is the Fairy Tail guild right?” Chikane said while using her free hand to scratch her head. This was always an enjoyable part to play on Chikane’s behalf, the ditzy fool who was innocent. This was so that she could gain some clue on how the guild was before she announced that she was their new guild master, as she was certain that would not go down well if she did it immediately. “I was wondering about the requirements to join, but I had no clue about any type of initiation. Who is the master here, I would really like to learn more about this.” Chikane had put on her best adorable questioning face. This was something she needed to see how they reacted to, otherwise she may fail at approaching them right when she introduced herself as the new guild master.

And that was something she wanted to avoid at all costs.

Lance way laying his head down on the table when he heard a new voice. He pulled his head up with a grimace and over heard the conversation. He stood up and slowly walked over to the small group before facing the new person with a straight face "Yes this is Fairy Tail and I am sorry but we do not have a guild master at the moment..." he muttered before shaking his head with a scoff "We aren't even really a guild anymore... Its not worth joining..."

Axel was reading a book while sitting in his usual table at a corner of the guild hall, peacefully, when he heard the doors of the guild hall open. The person ho stepped in was a girl that looked no older than Axel himself. He had never seen her around before so he decided to quickly finish his book, and walk away from the table, and forward to greet the stranger. "We aren't even really a guild anymore... Its not worth joining..." Said Lance. Axel had walked close enough to hear his comment before he stepped in. "Hello there, I am Axel Rover, and welcome to the guild! Pay no mind to Lance, he is just down about our Guild Master leaving out of the blue, hehe, but no worries, because we can all help lead eachother!" said Axel.

Unlike Lance, Axel had gotten over Mari's leave rather quickly. He found it akward having her as the guild master anyway, since in his last exam, he mistook her for the enemy, and attempted to kill her. How was I supposed to know she was a member of the guild? I never saw her around, thought Axel, but he never really saw anyone around, as he always had his face burried in a book.

Simon normally liked to make a show of his entrance. This would normally include flying into the guild as a giant blue phoenix and doing some mid-air tricks to raise the spirits of his guild members. But right now Simon didn't have the time or energy to do that, he didn't have the time or energy for a lot of things. At present the phoenix mage was sitting up in his self made nest in the guild roof, his personal hidey hole in the guild. Depression was the game of the game for him right now. His close friend Mari had recently vanished from Fairy Tail without a trace or a word goodbye, not only did this leave the guild without a leader but it also left Simon without anyone to do jobs with. Mari had really been his best job partner recently and now he was in a slump. The phoenix and the dragon was a team that Simon thought was going to make it big. Turns out he was horribly wrong. Old newspaper clippings twirled through his fingers as he examined the past in the form of black and white paper. Some clippings made him smile, others made him want to punch something normally it was mostly the former but right now just about all of them caused the latter.

Frustrated, angry and depressed Simon was mentally tail spinning. It was only a matter of time before he lashed out at something or someone. Noticing a small commotion below Simon looked up from his newspaper clippings and looked down below. It appeared someone new was getting some attention. Simon groaned he really didn't want to deal with a new person right now. But he figured since Ebony was down there maybe he could talk to her about what to do about their lack of Guild Master. He rolled out of his nest and let himself fall to the ground in free fall. He landed only inches in front of Chikane and looked up at her with a blank expression, his eye's outlined from lack of sleep, "Yo." He paused and stared at her, "Can I help you? I'm Simon the Phoenix, Rising Star #1. I get you have already talked to some of my friends here so you likely know we have no guild master at present. Sorry to say me or Ebony are going to be the closest you get." It occurred to him that he was border line implying that he was the guild master and for a moment worried that his guild members might react badly to this. But then the moment passed and he was back to not caring. He just wanted to get this new person squared away so he could talk to Ebony.

Chikane had her questions answered by several different people in the guild. Each had their own take on things, but the white haired demon’s fears were confirmed. The last guild master did indeed leave the guild to fend for itself. For Chikane, that was a horrible act to commit towards such a friendly and welcome place. But, the white haired mage would never believe that they didn’t have their reasons for leaving. That would be profiling, and Chikane would have been a hypocrite to judge someone else based upon their actions and beliefs on things.

She had been considering showing her more demonic nature a year ago after all.

Chikane turned her mind from the last guild master to the members she had recently met. First there was Lance, he seemed depressed about the situation that had occurred with their guild. But his view was harsh and just not the thing she would expect from a mage of Fairy Tail, although she wouldn’t judge him on it. Next was Ebony Matsuna, one of the few mages of the guild Chikane had background knowledge of. She was the former guild master before their last one, and had done a great job at the helm while she was leading the guild. Ebony probably suspected that the white haired demon was here for more than just learning about the guild, and that would mean Chikane had less time to explain the situation before making the announcement.

If she flew off the handle and let that part slip early, she was sure that the guild would loathe her for the entire time she was guild master.

Next was Axel, who had seemed cheery despite the recent departure. It meant that he wasn’t as close with the former master as other members of the guild, so Chikane expected he wouldn’t be as volatile with her as the others would be. Finally, there was Simon. He was indeed a rising star, but right now his expression was in one of the saddest things Chikane had ever seen. This was not something Chikane wanted to see from someone she normally would expect to be cheery, so it was slightly heartbreaking to know he might have been really close to the former guild master. Chikane had made her mind up then, she was going to help Fairy Tail become its usual cheery self once more.

Even if she was ostracized at the beginning.

“There isn’t a guild master?” Chikane asked innocently again, tilting her head to the side with a finger on her chin. “But I thought the Magic Council had determined who would be the next guild master? At least, my teacher had told me that before I traveled here.” Chikane explained the situation from a person’s standpoint that wasn’t completely familiar with how things ran. “They had picked because they wanted someone to take over the spot quickly, and they didn’t know how long the guild would take so they did it themselves. My master works for the Magic Council, and even he doesn’t know the full details.” Okay, so the white haired demon was lying a bit. It was better that they all vented their anger out at the new guild master BEFORE she introduced herself as it. She wanted to try and get them to understand the reasoning of the Magic Council and lighten up on the idea. Only if the situation turned dire would she reveal the real information.

Chikane then turned to Ebony, with a innocent smile on her face. “As for why I am here, well that itself is simple. I wish to grow in strength, and my teacher told me that Fairy Tail was the best place I could go for that.” This time, this was not a complete lie. Fairy Tail was the place Akosh had mentioned to be the best guild for her ideals. Chikane did have a lot of magical energy compared to the other members in the guild, in fact so far only Ebony’s could match up to hers. This made it a bit harder for her to not be caught in the act, but she hoped that Ebony and the others could buy it for the time being.

Otherwise a lot of questions were going to be asked very soon.

Naziel looked at the girl for a moment, he could smell the great amount of magic power coming off of her as his eyes narrowed, suddenly he hooked her by the arm and pulled her around the corner behind one of the bookcases like a rag doll;" Come check the libarary! You'll love it!" Off her ran with the flailing body of Chikane as he got around the corner out of the sight of the others he released her and leant against the wall with one leg pressed against it with his arms crossed; "So you wanna explain a bit more? I got a nose for these things and the amount of magic power I can smell on ya sure ain't from someone who needs to get stronger, plus you mention the council and seem to know a lot about those guys plans? Those guys have hated us for years... So... I'm gonna ask you outright, you a spy for the council?" Naziel eyed the girl closely with his gore red eyes; " Regardless of how cute you are or not if you plan on attacking Fairy Tail or sabotaging it in any way, we are gonna have a problem..." His voice was calm, his stare was precise and full of passion. Whoever this new girl was the power he was getting was huge, not to mention her bringing up of the council.

Origin story time!

Long ago(11 years to be exact) Simon under went rigorous training with Assop the king of liars.

That's enough origin story time for now.

This new person was lying. That much Simon knew for fact. They weren't bad at lying but Simon was the prince of lies and wouldn't be fooled. However he did pick up on a few truth here and there, and those were just as bad if not worse then the lies. This magic council lady wanted to walk in and declare herself guild master. The thought made Simon want to kick her into the next life, Simon already permitted the magic council more control over him then he liked by being a Rising Star then slap on having a MC puppet leading his guild was a no no no no no no no, and he would have if Naziel hadn't dragged her away spewing dumb lies. "We don't have a library genius!" For Simon prodigy of the God Leg magic this was only a temporary delay. Going at an all out god leg sprint he caught up to Naziel in half a second. Looking at Chikane again, knowing who she thought she was, Simon's expression was venomous. "Naziel don't try and act all cloak and dagger. Everyone saw where you went and are likely right behind me. Now new person care to explain why you are here again to me? I don't think I heard you right. I was day dreaming about something I learned from my old master Assop, king of liars." He put way more emphasis on the last word in his sentence then natural.

Simon hopped his point was being made because he didn't want to deal with more coy double talking.  Not today at least. He just wanted this magic council flunkie to make their idiotic deceleration of guild master status where everyone could hear so he could kick her out already. It was already an annoying set back that Naziel had separated her from the rest of the guild since it would be easiest to oust her with everyone watching, but once again that was temporary everyone would catch up soon. The phoenix would have no part in allowing some outsider to take Mari's place especially when Fairy Tail was more then capable of taking care of itself. So with dagger like eyes and words laced with hostility he awaited the moment. The inevitable moment that made him do an acrobatic pirouette off the handle on this random girl.

On top of the banister looking over the rest of almost empty guild sat a beautiful vixen with long flowing sakura colored hair that fell a little over her face. Her long white dress hung off the edge as she watched the new comer walk into the guild. She could feel the girl's strength and knew she was not some new member. Her hair hung over her face. The guild, her home, no longer felt like one. Even if she is known as the Princess of Fairy Tail, what use was there a princess to an empty kingdom. Her heart hurt from the fact that her guild members, her family left. She put her head on her knees and just laid there ignoring the others in the guild.

Lance muttered to himself as he leaned on a table as Ebony looked at him and Axel said to ignore his behavior "Well it is... we aren't even a guild anymore..." he muttered as the new girl was pulled away by Naziel and soon joined by Simon.

Lance silently walked over there and pushed away both Naziel and Simon "Guys... show some maturity and give her some space..." he muttered again. Lance stared at the girl and extended his hand with a straight face "You already know my name but I want to introduce myself." he said keeping the straight face and didn't bother to smile. "My names Lance Knighthunter, Shadow of this place and a fellow rising star like Simon back there..." he muttered as he backed away "I hope you enjoy this place..." he said leaning on another table.

"Hm?"

The Fairy looked  around  the guild, once bombarded with havoc, to see a fresh face walk into the hall.
"A new comer? now?" Rita thought to herself raising an eye brow at this as she sat up from her seat. The guild had been losing members ever since Ebony decided to step down...So why would some one come here, to a dying guild? What were her intentions, was she to join?
A fuss began to grow as several of the members began to swarm the snow haired woman. Rita wasn't sure why this girl was here, the way she handled herself when she walked in was...strange. Rita could read it a mile away something was racing through her head.She could she just be nervous.

Now Rita got up to approach the crowd and meet the new Fairy.

Before Rita could see what was going on Naziel, a fellow guild member, dragged her off where Simon and Lance soon followed. Rita turned and followed them, she wanted to know more than anything what was going on.
When she followed and met up with them she was surprised. Naziel and Simon both seemed very hostile towards her while Lance was still sulking and could not even exchange smile. Rita sighed and stepped in in an attempt to fix this.

"Listen, This is not the way to welcome some one to the family. Show some pride, This is our guild and we want everyone here to be happy. So just cut the hostility and the depression nonsense. I know just as well as you three how things have been but we have to let this go. We are still Fairy Tail and nothing will change that."

Rita was the last person you would expect to hear such words of but at the moment she did not even care about being her usual bitter self, she just wanted her guild to be back to the way it should be. With that thought in mind Rita turned to face the newcomer.

"I'm sorry, It has been difficult and everyone seems to be on edge or down in the dumps. I'm sure once you meet everyone and get into the swing of things you will be fine. Let's start over Shall we?" Rita let out a tension filled sigh and forced a smile to introduce herself to the newcomer: "I'm Rita. You are?"

Rita had been fighting to accept the changes in the guild just as much as everyone else. She refused to be swept into the negative emotions for once in her life. Yes, She loved the guild to pieces and did not like the idea of some council spy running around, but the time she has spent in the guild taught her that people deserve a chance. Rita would give this girl that but if she did anything to her guild Rita would be the one to make things right. She had the feeling that it would not be necessary anyway.

As much as it made her uncomfortable, Rita was going to try and be welcoming for a change. Although, This that didn't change the fact that the girl still had a short fuse and that was nothing to be tampered with.

(OOC: took a little longer than I had hoped because people *cough* Lance *cough posted while I was working and I had to re do things *Sigh* Sorry XD)

Chikane did not get to see the reaction of most of the members of the guild, as she was quickly pulled aside by the male she remembered to be Naziel. His magical power wasn’t overly impressive towards her, but she felt something immense hiding within him. Mentally, she made a note to keep an eye on her fellow white haired mage, as he could be something special in time. For the moment however, she had to keep Naziel from digging in further so that she could keep everyone calmed.

Which didn’t go nearly as well as she planned since Simon came before she began speaking. It also appeared that he didn’t trust what Chikane had said, which made it all the harder for her to not grow angry at the constant attacks on her person. While they hadn’t done anything to her physically yet, she was certain if she worded her explanation wrong then they would definitely throw her out of the guild on her butt. They were hurt, and hostile towards anyone attempting to take advantage of the situation. While Chikane was indeed here to become guild master, she wouldn’t force them to accept nor like her.

However, she was here to help them. Even if they didn’t want it.

The one named Lance approached his friends and tried to be more friendly towards Chikane, but his depressed aura made it harder for him to help. The white haired demon made a mental note to check what was wrong with him, as there had to be more to his depression than his guild master leaving. However, his small speech to his friends did almost nothing to help, so Chikane cleared her throat and was about to speak again.

Until someone approaching the group entered into her view.

The girl seemed about her age, with light blue eyes and brown hair. She approached the three males and spoke to them about how they were acting towards Chikane, which surprised the white haired woman. She didn’t exactly expect anyone to be even REMOTELY nice to her, so it was a welcome surprise. The girl turned around and introduced herself as Rita, while giving Chikane a forced smile. Chikane only smiled softly in return before speaking.

“I am Chikane. I find that your friends are just defensive about their guild being infiltrated by a member of the Magic Council. No one likes a spy, even if they aren’t there to do damage.” Chikane turned to Naziel, her mouth forming into a thin line as she turned to him. “As for your worries, fear not. I am not a Magic Council spy of any type. I doubt they would take someone like me in as a spy anyway.” Chikane frowned when she thought about the Magic Council. Her opinions of them were mixed, and she didn’t trust their intentions when they put her as guild master of Fairy Tail. She would not let them control her in any way however, and would protect Fairy Tail from them if needed.

Even if the entire guild hated her.
