Name: Shufa
Gender: Female
Age: 22
Birthday: 12/21
Sexuality: Straight
Special Characteristics: N/A
Personality:
Shufa is extremely recluse. She prefers thinking about things more than speaking and sometimes rubs off as arrogant simply because she's too lazy to respond to a question. Of course, that doesn't mean she doesn't like to speak either. She has a rather dry sense of humor and will take any chance to try to be funny. While she's not [i[arrogant[/i], she holds her pride rather high and will force people with possible threats to laugh at her jokes, even if they're completely not funny at all. She has a strong sense of self and doesn't give in to other people's opinions easily, though she never actually expresses her disagreement so no arguments or debates ever happen.
The few times she does speak (when she's not trying to be funny) it'll usually be something that might sound crazy deep, but at the same time, completely ridiculous. No one is allowed to laugh at her for that though, which makes having conversation with her completely miserable, because you never can tell when she's being funny and when she's not. If you make a wrong guess, you get death threats thrown at you.
Shufa isn't really interested in anything but books. She's quite the book nerd, but no one is allowed to call her a book nerd (or else there tends to be death threats). She spends most of her time reading and when she's not reading, she's thinking about what she read. She reads everywhere, including in the shower and when she's walking. That said, she's also mastered splitting her attention, so she knows almost exactly what's going on around her even while she's reading. Generally, she is not to be bothered when she's reading or else she gets rather cranky and bad things have happened when she was interrupted from reading. She favorite books are usually about pain, suffering and death.
She doesn't socialize so much, but when really nagged at, she will set down her book for a little night out or a little social outing. She doesn't like dressing up, and she prefers long flowy robes to anything short and tight. She does not care about men. In fact, she sometimes has a bad habit of comparing real life men to characters in books she’s read and almost half complaining about how horrible real life men are. She is the kind of person to lack seriously in friends, but also the person to hold the few bonds she has created heavily, putting them, in fact, over her books sometimes.
In battle, she's a pretty different person. Though she still prefers to be alone, knowing that communication is a must in teamwork, she won't hesitate to speak up. She's flexible between working as a leader and working just as a team member and there's not one that she prefers over the other. She's fueled by the power of books and how she deals with her enemies also depends on what kind of books she's reading (hence, she doesn't read happy and romantic books). She’s cruel and ruthless in battle, not really caring about the sufferings of her enemies in battle and even tends to mock them for being weak. That said, she never plays it dirty and will gladly have a proper battle with anyone. To anyone who is stronger than her, she only smiles slightly and vows that she'll be back even stronger.
Likes:
1. Books/reading books: She finds them to be the soul of her life and treasures them beyond anything.
2. Long flowing dresses: They're simple to throw on and easy to walk around in, what could be more convenient than that?
3. The Smell of Ink: How could she not? She reads so many books...
4. Jokes: I think that's self-explanatory.
Dislikes:
1. Weak cowards: You can be weak, but even the weak can stand up for themselves. Shufa can't stand weak people who are too cowardly to admit it or stand up for themselves.
2. Real Live Men: They're so stupid and dumb sometimes. And they can be such jerks, nothing like the ones in books.
3. Loud Noise: How are you suppose to concentrate on reading with noise?
Motivations:
1. Stronger Opponents: Whenever she looses a fight, she only get more motivated to beat them.
2. Books: The fact that there other other books in the world that she hasn't read yet bothers her.
3. Telling a funny joke: She determined to tell a joke and have people actually laugh for once.
Fears:
1. Bugs, spiders in particular: She hates how they're crawl around so fast and buzz in your ears. Kills them on the spot.
2. Fire: She's not so much afraid of the fire itself, but afraid that it will burn up books, especially those she hasn't read yet.
3. The sea: The whole idea of a vast plain of water scares her. (That said, she does not get motion sick)
General Appearance
Height: 5''7
Weight: 123 lbs
Hair: Long straight black hair
Eyes: Blue
Skin Tone: Pale white
Appearance:
She's medium height and rather thin. Her hair is usually pinned back into a bun, her bangs out of the way, but sometimes, when she's feeling a little lazy, she'll just let her hair hang. She usually likes to wear loose black robes that are just long enough to cover everything, but not long enough to make her trip. She also has a thing for big sleeves.
Occasionally, she'll wear something more colorful (as in the picture).
