Uncovering the Threat [Job: Blanc]

"THEY'RE HERE!", a deafening scream echoed throughout a small portion of the town. Blanc turned her head towards the direction she heard the scream. She titled her head downwards, looking at Cheria who was standing beside her, who also noticed the scream of fear. Their eyes were widened with shock since the emotion in the scream was quite strong which caused Blanc to feel a little bit nervous, but as a strong woman, she was able to fend it off.

"Let's go, Cheria!"

She ran towards that location and while doing so, Cheria flapped her angelic wings which emanated a bright magical glow and gave her the capability to fly. She immediately flew upwards then rushed at Blanc, picking her up. Now, they're both flying towards the part of the town where they last heard the scream. They flew above the tall trees and houses as Blanc looked down, searching for an unusual scent lingering within the town.

"Take this!", the brute, called as Moneybags, said to Blanc as he threw jewel bills at her in succession. As the paper flew towards her, Blanc immediately hovered to her left and was able to dodge the paper successfully because of her increased speed. One after another, they exploded behind her, causing destruction to some houses and trees. She turned her head and looked at it. "Tsk", Blanc uttered, feeling disappointed in what she's done.

Since they saw that Blanc wasn't able to do anything but dodge after they launched their attack, they thought that it was an advantage so they threw more and more jewel bills at her. They bombarded her with flying and explosive jewel bills but this time, Blanc didn't leave her position. Instead, she looked at it with straight eyes and a serious face and said, "You guys never learn"

"F-fine... I-I'll start talking....", the artist said, staring at Blanc's eyes, filled with flaming desire to know what it going on. Blanc pulled him towards the closest inn and treated him a drink, and sat down at a simple wooden oak table with matching chairs. Blanc's eyes didn't leave the artist whom she decided to talk to, so the artist couldn't escape, for Blanc's eyes are locked to him.

"Now, begin talking", Blanc would calmly to the artist. The artist sighed, for his last option was to tell her all that he knows, all about the weird insignia that in painted in all of their destructive works. He tried to look away from Blanc, feeling quite shy, probably because he's in front of a girl. A faint blush appeared on his cheeks which made him startle quite a bit. Blanc got curious about his actions, so she giggled lightly. Afterwards, her giggling stop, and her eyes became serious.

"Speak"

"G-Gorgon head", the artist said in reply, with his voice stuttering in fear. "Gorgon head?", Blanc said curiously, as her head titled a bit to the left. "Y-yes. G-gorgon head i-is a Dark Guild", the artist said, continuing his statement, "I-I don't know m-much myself... but all I know is that they were just a new dark guild, with strong mages affiliated with them. I-I was just ordered to cause destruction among this town. I-I don't know anything else. I promise!", the artist said, with his voice still stuttering in fear.

Blanc stared onto his eyes, trying to dig deep if what he is telling is the truth or a burning lie. The artist's eyes returned back the stare. In that time, Blanc knew he was telling the truth. She pushed her chair backwards, stood up, and approached him, saying, "Thanks for the cooperation!", she said cheerfully, as if nothing happened. She reached out her hand, which was received by him, feeling weirded out by what's happening. "Now that everything's done, I should head back. You should hide and stop with what you're doing or else you're going to get it", she said with a huge smile on her face.

Blanc walked out of the inn. She still saw the artists lying down on the ground, lifeless and unconscious. She began to have thoughts in her mind about the dark guild, Gorgon Head. So, as she walked back to Blue Pegasus, a huge question mark left her mind. As she returned, she reported all of her knowledge so that it may prove useful in the future to purge the existence of dark guilds.
