Job: The Legendary Monster!
Rank: S
Player Requirements: Two S-Ranked Wizard(s)
Job Requirements: Must slay creature. Must be at least 25 posts long. Word count must be at least 400 words.
Job Location: Mysterious Canyon
Job Description:
There has been reports of dark mages who are resurrecting a legendary monster who lived in the mysterious canyons. This monster was said to be so powerful that it can destroy a mountain in a few minutes. You must defeat the dark mages and try to stop the summoning of this monster. If this legendary creature is summoned, try to slay it no matter what.
Enemies:
Weak: C-rank Dark Mages (x15, uses elemental magic)
Spells:
Elemental Shot (B-rank): Fires an explosive projectile of the element they wield. Deals A-rank damage if it hits directly, the explosion deals B-ranked damage. No cool-down.
Elemental Barrier (B-ranked): Create a magical sphere around themselves which is formed out of the element they wield. While the trait they all share is that it takes 1 A-ranked damage to break them, their additional characteristics are defined by their element, thus they differ (Up to the player to make them). 3 posts cool-down.
Normal: A-rank mages (x10, uses Dark Magic)
Abilities:
Darkness' Cold Embrace (A-ranked): The mages cause a body of darkness to form beneath their target which then proceeds to reform and move to create a kind of "darkness capsule" around the caster's target. It takes 2 posts for the capsule to form during which the player affected suffers B-ranked damage per post and has their movements impaired. At the end of said duration, the player gets trapped within the capsule for 2 posts. Must roll two successful defensive dice at once if they are to break free at any point during the spell's effects. 4 posts cool-down.
Darkness Pike (A-rank): The mages can cause long "nails" of darkness to sprout from any surface within 40 metres which deal A-ranked damage. They have no cool-down and are the mages' primary form of attack.
Iron Maiden (A-rank): With a wave of their hand, the mages create a great number of Darkness Spikes around their target which, after 2 seconds, all shoot towards it at once towards it. If they hit, they deal a total of S-rank damage. 4 posts cool-down.
Strong: S rank mage, uses Arc of Time. Takes 1 S-rank damage to kill him.
Abilities:
Skip Time (S-rank): Every 2 posts, the mage can completely skip a player's attack's time of existence, thus making it cease to exist (Completely negates a player's attack once every 2 posts).
Freeze Time (S-rank): Causes up to two players' time to stop, stunning them for 4 and a half posts. 6 posts cool-down.
Shatter time (S-rank): Using their powers, the mage causes a single player's time to "shatter" dealing direct S-rank damage to them which is completely unblockable and unavoidable. This spell is cast once every 3 posts.
Boss: Kalthur, the legendary creature. (H-rank)
Kalthur is known as the destroyer of the mountains and the legendary creature whose strength matched those of the dragons. It has immense strength and stamina. A few strikes from it can kill even the most powerful Wizards, so try to avoid being hit. It automatically appears after beating all dark mages. It takes 3 H-rank damages to take it down.
Reward: 80,000 Jewels
The wind blew silently as a gentle breeze swept up Ebony’s hair, making it dance. She couldn’t help but smile as covered her face completely. She tried to pull it away, making it more knotty by the second. Sometimes I believe I should just cut off all my hair. It would be soooo much easier. As she managed to brush her hair back to its original stature, she didn’t notice the brown piece of paper that leaped out of her pocket and into the air above her.
Hey Ebony, is that your job information… Atlas’s voice could be heard in her head as she turned it, her eyes popping out of her head. That’s my Job Information! Gaaaah! I need that! I have no idea where I’m going without that! She leaped into action, jumping ferociously up and down, trying to grab the paper that danced through the heavens. It seemed to be getting higher; and moving faster. Tch. You shouldn’t be so careless Ebony. Such laziness. The blue companion mumbled the words, loud enough for Ebony to hear.
Her eyed met his as a cheeky grin grew upon her small innocent face. Careless ay? As she said this she grabbed Atlas by the tail, spinning him round and round, aiming him at the piece of paper that still blew in the wind. She let go, throwing him high in the air. He was going pretty fast. Well, fast enough for him to fly through the piece of paper instead of grabbing it. Ebony face palmed as the scattered pieced of paper landed on her head.
As the camera zoomed onto Atlas’s face, an expression never before seen, was seen. His eyes were as wide as a goldfish, his mouth open as he tried to speak, yet nothing came out. Ebony laughed, trying to piece together the pieces of paper with sticky tape.
“Ahaa!!”
Her voice rang out as she lifted the sticky taped piece of paper in the air like Simba.
“Ah yes. I remember now. The Legendary Monster Job. I’m apparently taking it with some Blue Pegasus mage.”
She crossed her fingers behind her back, Please don’t let it be Ayeseru… Please please pleaaase don’t let it be Ayeseru. Ever since that day that she drew on his face while they got their passports, she was sure he’d never forgive her, and pay her back one day. She just hoped today wasn’t that day.
She walked towards a place called the ‘Mysterious Canyon’. A place filled with terror and fright, where enemies lurked behind every corner. Just kidding; Ebony knew almost nothing of this place. All she knew is that it was here where the dark mages were resurrecting that Legendary Monster. That monster that she was going to destroy.
