- The Long Read (Main):
- Providence Prisms exist in time today as a faint and dark myth that has only been re-told by a very small circle of old souls and dedicated travelers. As a general description, they regard the crystal-like phenomena as a blood hungry parasite and that its true potency changes as often as the day shifts from weather to weather. These weary stories that have never been brought about to modern-day children and mages would regularly end with grim speeches of death and ill-willed effects to a normal man's body -because of its unexplored nature, those who've acquired a significant value of information on it have been consumed by fear, secrecy and dubbed it as an ominous sign of misfortune to a soul. However, apart from the typical grumbles of danger is a sense of power untouched, raw and unbound to a certain theme. Some stories, if one is lucky enough to find a living source, chants to something inexplicably ambiguous capable of bestowing unique abilities limited to a small amount of good hearts. Often times the frequency of an exact replica of an ability is one to none, therefor no two hosts would be the same in terms of good will and blood. The real amounts of mages who've successfully tamed the parasitic stone have yet to be uncovered from the ashes of history.
The Prism is arguably considered living quartz (its material form named as a blood crystal). It's known to demonstrate certain prism-like qualities, and also notoriously famous for killing off those who dare use it. Death is a commonly shared effect by the unfortunate, but not necessarily the only consequence available. Some of those who've gained samples of the ancient crystal have testified to obtaining special defensive abilities usually unknown and without a written documentation of it (all the forms of known magic be it ancient, holder or caster are there for exempted -slayer magic, all the Arcs, celestial spirit magic, wind magic etc.) Strangely enough, they've also come to experience streams of colored flames bursting from their eyes at random intervals, or beams of light burning from their chests whenever the moon showed a full phase.
Almost all of these lucky individuals were magi who've told tales of obtaining something closely similar to one particular magic they have recently practiced (though it maybe -closely- similar it's still not exactly the same thing, so for example if the mage had fire magic, and if the Prism doesn't kill him, he'll receive a flame-type of magic bearing different spells, purely defensive but on a similar, unified element). Theoretically, the Providence Prism is a prism that wants to establish a mutual relationship with its host in exchange for protection. It filters out a variety of different defensive skills after it acclimates nicely to its host's blood class and personality combined (in this reference blood doesn't actually mean the real thing that you'd classify as type A, B, AB and O -rather, it leans towards being a credential born from a person's spot in one of the few generic lines of spiritual ancestors). There are no two individuals who will garner the same defense, as each person is spiritually unique, and each person is filtered out by the Prism like a beam of visible light; splitting it out into colors. But unlike an ordinary prism, this in particular lets out one meaningful strand of color as a physical display of the host's inner being (perhaps a reference to the true meaning of each color? No one knows for sure), the type of defense they've acquired, and the Prism's way of saying 'my territory'.
Wing obtained the Blue Lux -Altair's choice of naming given the Blue hue of it's flame spouting out of her left eye, the pacifistic qualities of her first spell (Blue would mean peace and tranquility, and also responsibility and confidence), and for the fact that the Prism derived it's defense mechanism from Wing's cosmic light-influenced primary magic, there for designing a beautified take on the usage of heavenly light. Wing's Prism rightfully creates barriers relatively based on the light-giving heavenly phenomena in our current universe, such as blue-to-black shields derived from eclipses, swirling novas that burst from the center core of the star to push back enemies. But more fundamentally so, the Blue Lux focuses to bring a light able to guide it's carrier far into her fated path, protecting her from any danger by fabricating an act of synchronicity with Wing's interior element. Simply put, the Prism, the Blue Lux specifically, coordinates with Wing to create shields of light derived from the monumental illuminating phenomena the universe emits (examples are not limited to the supernovas, or auroras. They can be eclipses, the sun's majestic prominence, a solar flare, etc.)
- The Short Read (Important Notes that I've decided to add to avoid confusion):
- Credits to YB-stilon Stock for the Star PNG.
- The Providence Prism is a prism that can either kill you, or give you protection. Why? The host is important for the parasite, without it, it'd die. Same thing, so without it's host, it'd die along with it.
- The Prism is to be considered a living object. It needs blood to survive and it reacts to certain stimuli that might harm it's host. Occasionally, the host might even feel a faint pulsing sensation, similar to breathing, inside them -usually felt during a full moon and/or whenever their eyes start heating up from a fire burning in it.
- Lacrima and Providence Prisms are entirely different. Lacrima are empty and need to be fused with something to make it work, the Providence Prism on the other hand needs a living, breathing host to work and exist.
- The Prism has no ability to make magic for those who are not magically-inclined. So only the magi can use it, or those who've been 'spiritually awakened'. That's why most of those who died were normal citizens.
- If they were normal citizens, then why did a lot of people die when there are a lot of magi in this world? Simple, there was not enough mages who knew about it to go mine it, and those who knew it were careful of spreading data -they were aware of the potential of abuse and greed. However, there have been some, although never confirmed, reports of some mages dying after coming in contact with it. No one knows why (corrupted hearts, perhaps?)
- Eye flames are restricted to the left eye, and only the left eye....for some reason.
- The colors can range from any color on the spectrum, it wouldn't be a prism if it didn't have that feature, nor would it's talents be ambiguous if everyone had the same color.
- The colors pave a way to define the way the prism would react to anything that could harm it's host. If it's red, then it should mean an offensive type of defense. Bear in mind that the Prism did not think up the color, rather, they matched it accordingly to the host's blood class and personality, as previously mentioned. This is to avoid any major conflicts about battle mode shifts and elemental instability. It should be observed that every spell, regardless of the manner, will at least have a faint hue of the prearranged color.
- There's a limited offer on information on how the thing actually works. But there are few documents and stories about them in very remote places.
- Some notes say the prism can heal injuries significantly, but it's also scribbled how it can't heal the people around the host.
- Shamefully enough, being heavily light derived, it will not compliment any gravity features.
Blood does not define a mage spiritually, it's just that the Prism cannot come in contact with the soul of a mage since it does not have a material form for it to cling unto. So in it's stead, it 'filters' blood and from there defines blood class (remember, generic line) and personality (This is where it gets confusing: so if it can trace the personality, why can't it trace the soul? It gains insights of the host's personality from reacting to the blood that flows in the brain, gaining information from it. Now the soul's location is indefinite, no blood can trace back to the soul, hence the crystal cannot gather information from it.) - I plan to keep other specific data regarding the Prism a secret for plot purposes. I'll detail them in once they've been thoroughly added into Wing's story.

- ♦ ♦ ♦ Strengths ♦ ♦ ♦:
- It clearly stands as a serious defense affiliate, giving the caster a bit more protection than usual.
- Difficulties in switching elements is no longer a bother since the Prism derives it's shield from the caster's original, primary magic (refer to the important notes section for additional info).
- The available eye-awakening ability that streams from the eye flames is deemed quite useful in every available aspect (although Wing has yet to acknowledge it).
- If the caster has a very large lack of defensive spells, this lessens the burden of escaping when all main spells are in the process of usage cool down.
- Having been made to fit the caster's primary, it will also express the same strengths (except anything gravity related, in Wing's case).
- The Prism cannot be destroyed through forcibly trying to take it out from the host's chest with magic, it dies once it's carrier dies.
- It clearly stands as a serious defense affiliate, giving the caster a bit more protection than usual.
- ♦ ♦ ♦ Weaknesses ♦ ♦ ♦:
- Blue Lux is pacifistic in nature, therefor cannot inflict any major damage that can potentially kill, disembody limbs or leave permanent physical and mental disabilities. If at any rate, all the effects that're temporary and perfectly minor is within the Blue Lux' range of power.
- Having been made to fit the caster's primary, it will also express the same weaknesses (except anything gravity related, in Wing's case)
- It has an issue with authority sometimes, usually deciding by itself what it would spell it would like to use in contrast to the host's wishes, and/or completely denying the spell request. This can cause serious conflict between both parties and can often back fire at both of them.
It follows the same, normal resistance pattern where any spell a rank higher will automatically break the shield. - At some points it inflicts pain if the host starts to goes under major blood loss in battle, placing even more pain and higher caution on the carrier's shoulders.
Lux is literally light; it will not exceed the laws of any magic that can eat away light as a source (copying for emphasis). - Strange intervals of the Prism lighting up (eye/chest area) can give off presence, easily breaking a planned ambush, disguise and/or act of hiding. Plus it could lead to an innate signal for any tracking motives.
- Blue Lux is pacifistic in nature, therefor cannot inflict any major damage that can potentially kill, disembody limbs or leave permanent physical and mental disabilities. If at any rate, all the effects that're temporary and perfectly minor is within the Blue Lux' range of power.
- ♦ ♦ ♦ Abilities/Powers ♦ ♦ ♦:
- Eye-Awakening (EA for short)
-Improves stamina build-up, flexibility and total magic out-put (increasing attack power and defense success rate) by at least 6% whenever eye flames are present. The specific time that the Eye flames would reveal itself is yet to be recognized.
- The Innate Blood Clock
- The Prism has the ability to raise pulse activity once inside the heart, providing an extra sense of adrenaline that ticks off as an alarm clock whenever it's needed (ex: Warning the host to evade an upcoming ambush whilst providing the required rush to dodge it.
- Emotional Restraint
- At certain times where the Prism's carrier experiences heavy emotional instability, the Prism may at any given time lessen pulse speed as opposed to the Blood Clock. This decreases chances of being affected by the emotional stress brought about by a number of unfavorable feelings in battle or in casual life (fear, depression, sadness, anxiety, rage etc. ) due to having a normalized heart rate close to maximum relaxation and inner tranquility until the known problem is dealt with. (Note that if it is an effect from a spell, D ranks have a 60% success rate of being resisted. Anything higher has a drop of 10% as it goes up. ex: C rank -50%, B rank -40% and so on. This goes up by 5% with the caster's ranking. ex: From D to C, C ranks will now have at least 55% success rate of restraint, while D ranks have 65% success rate of restraint; from C-B, B ranks will now have 45% success rate, C ranks with 60% success rate, D ranks with 70% and so forth.) ^In accordance to Wing's Lineage, it depends on her if she wishes to use this ability in replace of her lineage to take advantage of the total duration of it. However, this doesn't mean she can truly favor this over her lineage, remember -none of these effects include fatigue, so it'd be wise for her to use her lineage during times when heavy fear and depleting energy combine.
- Quartz Fire
- Temperature drops are often seen as a problem, especially at a long exposure. In order to avoid further damage from abnormal climates, the Prism releases an internal warmth as a steady comfort for it's carrier until the temperature rises.
Shield durability rates according to the Spells it can take before it breaks:- Quartz Ice
- Same level of comfort , same Prism, same carrier, although different in terms of temperature. If at some point the temperature rises too much as opposed to the it dropping, the parasitic crystal would then comfort the loss of heat with a cooling sensation stemming from it's core.

- ♦ ♦ ♦ Spells ♦ ♦ ♦:
- D rank:
Name: Azuli Eclipse
Rank: D
Type: Light - Defensive
Description:
The Azuli Eclipse is a flat shield type of barrier that significantly resembles a solar eclipse. It's been named Azuli for the obvious blue shade that replaces the normally black surface of its original source. It's an effortless protective spell that has equally balanced terms and can work in every environment possible provided that it's been executed properly. In order to achieve the apt fullness of this Eclipse, the caster first applies her authority over the Prism, warning it of the probable dangers (do note that this can be done beforehand). This generates a faint pulsing sensation from the Prism that resonates with the caster's own heartbeat. Confirming its bond with the caster, it will then begin to provide the necessary coordinates to perform the spell through the blood stream that flows through the caster's brain. It will then appear to the caster as a follow the dots image created by special seals, blaring brightly before the caster's eyes. Here the caster must trace out the seals with their index finger accordingly, matching speed and accuracy. The Azuli Eclipse has a large crescent shape as its base, starting from the left going to the right. If executed correctly, the shield will appear as a glowing blue eclipse (a crescent shape highlighted with a vivid yellow beneath it) against the caster's hand. The eclipse has an overall diameter of 30 inches (0.762 meters).
Passive Ability:
In place of directly stopping the attack, the Azuli Eclipse absorbs it upon contact, after which reflecting it back in the form of a bright blue light blazing from the edges of the shield. It's been shown to have temporary blinding skills at every successful absorption that'll last for single post, or 10 minutes in Earthland time even after the shield reaches its total duration (the light is exactly 10 inches/ 25.4 cm thick and a total blinding range of 6 meters/0.006 km, absorbs at a speed of two seconds, and reflects at a speed of five seconds). It will basically reflect any attack within it's total rank scope. For normal melee attacks (monster attacks and the like, attacks from a ordinary person with the exception of ranked melee
attacks/weapon attacks from mages as the rank resistance applies regardless if it is melee or not), the light reaction will happen once the weapon/body part hits the shield. On the other hand, D rank magical attacks will be reflected once the attack hits the frontal part of the shield.
Strengths:
-As complicated as the process sounds, it actually takes up a maximum of 35 seconds to perform in total, 25 if the caster is quick enough trace it correctly.
- As opposed to the static demand of Heavenly Body Magic for precise movements, this spell doesn't seem to adhere to those rules.
- It does not stick to a specific environment rule therefor it is limitless in terms of battle conditions (e.g. Aerial combat).
- Each effective attack absorption gives two options: respond with an attack in mind while the target is succumbing to visual disability, or escape peacefully without any onslaught of attacks (depending on overall target number who've been affected by the light)
- The passive absorbs any attack that is considered offense minded be it melee attacks (At most one critical blow is enough to be reflected, if multiple attacks have been performed simultaneously unto the front end of the shield, it has the same reflective action. However, attacks that're separate are considered single attacks and cannot be absorbed all at once.) and/or spells (generalizing spells, any element of any range as long as it's perfectly squared as D-rank) significantly.
Weaknesses:
- Its passive only applies to D ranks and anything lower (specifically 2 D-ranks and any amount of lower melee attacks), absorbing C ranks causes it to break without reflecting anything. Anything higher causes it to shatter on contact
- Unfortunately, if a large amount of scattered targets appear, those within the the total range are the only attacks that the shield is capable of absorbing.
- It's usually takes more time when it's the first summoning of the Eclipse in every battle (for some reason it cannot be casted properly without the Prism's instructions)
- The light may be 'eaten' by any form of light slayer as it is still pure light.
- Being flat, the caster is always open to attacks from behind since there's nothing but a blue penumbra at its rear end.
- Tactical out-numbering is a grave danger to this spell since it can only reflect attacks thrown to the front portion of the shield, if two or more attacks were to be done from different directions well....it's pretty obvious to have it fail.
- The downside of not being able to comply to the seal arrangement properly is a negated turn (nothing is to become of it but there is still a duration and cool down), so caution must be practiced at this point of its execution.
Duration/Cool down:
Total duration is a one post (15 minutes in Earthland time)/ Cool down is 2 posts (or 30 minutes in Earthland time)
