The Myth that creates Legends [Job][Suki,Chel and Zack]

The Mysterious Canyon was large and deserted, left abandoned with only stones and dust to keep the silence company while little creatures would run through and through for survivability some don't even leave the sound of travel through the crevasses of the canyon. The camera would turn over toward a large cliff head that raises before an enlarged crevasse, that's so dark that its seems to be ongoing and dropping in would seem eternal. When suddenly the sound of foot steps would be ever so closely to the scene, followed by another two foot steps, one would be a bit lighter, while the other heavy and stomped. They walked toward the edge of the cliff, bobbing their heads over the edge in curiousness, and made sure that this was the correct location.

"Are we ready to begin?"

One of the group members spoke up, with his hood covering his head and face. The head of the group placed their hand upon the ground he forced his magical energy within the ground beneath him and created a magic crest that soon was engraved into the ground itself. After a few seconds that single crest broke and begun to stretch the entire cliff head before the engraving would brighten a transcendent blue.

"We must hold this position......if not we might have to wait another long while."

He said as he turned around and headed back down to the foot of the cliff followed by the other two once more.

Walking through the entrance of the Mysterious Canyon were two travelers walking toward the lonesome canyon south/east from the city named Rose Garden. They thought that after a fun time within the enlightened city, filled with stores and stalls that were fun to run through before an all crucial and her first S Ranked job. Mari was finally joining the big dogs of the Magic world, her power has grown quite immensely from when she was just a D rank mage, but straining through jobs and large fights has brought her to an even bigger fight. She was traveling across the land along side her was her small feline companion Max, who didn't like to fly unless required so it left them to just walk to the fray.

Mari was told that she was going to be accompanying another two fellow mages, one that seemed to be associated with Blue Pegasus. A guild that she hasn't had a chance to fight along side with properly and is hopeful to see who "Zack Rose" is and how they do things in their guild. And another though this other person was actually from the magic council, and even Mari didn't associate with them much or not at all so it'll be a sight to see.

"I hope these other mages aren't a nuisance.....it'd be disappointing to have to see such strong mages sound as dumb as an infant..."

Max went on continuously talking downward toward the other two mages.

Mari stood curiously watching the desolate waste land that had brought them to protrude and investigate of some kind of unknown actions taking place somewhere within the the canyons themselves. She looked into the distance but could only see jagged stone and dust floating off into the air, when the sudden essence of another road beneath her nose before she scrunched her face. Turning around quickly, letting her over coat flow along with the wind behind her she'd come across a unknown person that trended in the rocky gravel toward her. Young and bold he walked straight toward her with the wind blowing his clothing against the wind.

“Hai there I am dryaw from the magic council you here for the job?”

She stood there in awe as this was the first time meeting a magic council member before, his aura seemed pure and logical, while his appearance seemed like he wasn't one to take lightly. She wondered if all members of the MC were the same, high ranking officials ready to step in the fight ready to take on those who go against the law they placed. When suddenly she felt a tug on her sleeve coming from Max tugging at her as she just stared at the man without answering his question.

"Eh...Ah..Yes! I'm Mari Windsor, of Fairy Tail. I asked if I could participate in the job, please take care of me."

She said dumbfounded by her lengthened stare at dryaw before became nervous and felt as if she was being rude. Nervous being thrown into the situation did she stutter and shout as she answered his plea before bowing forward subconsciously, hiding her face of shame before throwing herself back up.

"My name Maximilian Von Duke the VII and I'm Mari's partner. I don't know you so don't think you can shorten it, Mr. Dryaw..."

He said grunting as he finished speaking, crossing his arms and turning quickly away as something caught his attention and shook his head as he squinted to better his judgement and noticed the silhouette above their heads as it reached it's peek. Max moved closer toward Mari while covering his face with her over coat as the man crashed into the ground, sending a large dust cloud into their direction.

"Howdy. The name's Zack Rose, Speed Demon of Blue Pegasus."

He said as if this was an everyday thing, he left a large smile on his face as he looked toward the both of them seeming impatient of starting their job together. Mari dusted off her clothing while Max gave himself some room, as he protected himself from the dust cloud earlier and looked at the small lightning bug that rested on his shoulder waving its hand happily.

"So we all ready? Good, then let's get going. Its probably this way, I can see a great amount of magic power being focused. It looks like summoning or something similar to me."

Mari widened her eyes at how so straight forward this guy was being before chuckling a bit as he might be kinda fun to hang around with, having no care in the world. She did noticed that he seemed a bit irregular in a sense of power, probably being much strong then Mari herself, and his keen detection of magical energy must of been the difference between them.

"Alright then, I guess since we're all here there's nothing to do but head onward. By the way nice to meet you Zack Rose, I'm glad to be working with you."

She said much more confident then before probably being relaxed by the lax character Zack placed in front of her. She followed behind Zack as he walked deeper into the canyons themselves, with her gauntlets clanking every time she took a step forward and her over coats continuous flapping in the wind. With Max following right beside her.

Following between the two mages, they walked through the canyons toward who knows what within this kind of job. Of course their knowledge about the job was kinda thin, seeing as they have to stop a couple of dark mages that have taken a liking to the area for some odd reason and it was their job to stop them from doing anything crazy. What worries her is what they are planning within such a large area, what could they be doing. As they continued to walk forward, Dryaw started to talk about sensing dark mages within the area before them. Mari herself has gotten stronger through her times going on jobs and training, concentrating on the surrounding area even she could feel a rise in power that seemed to be heading straight toward them, though that's all she could sense from the situation at hand. Rather then that Zack would easily see both them and their strength levels of each of them, as well as their choice in magic.

"Uwaa...that's amazing. I guess, that's the plan then."

Mari spoke with excitement before running up and past Zack toward the front of the group, leaving Max behind. Not before long Max would chase behind her, his causing a "pitter patter" noise with every step, and his arms stretched out as her ran. Jumping forward into a crouched position before propelling herself forward at an increased speed, that would send a dust cloud into the air rushing toward the other two of the group.

From afar one of the stronger mages would break into a dash before being followed by a group of the weaker mages. As entire group they stood more of a chance against the three of them, but of course there was more then what met their eyes, that's for sure. As she propelled herself, she threw both arms outward summoning a large red magic crest. Fire begun to concentrate into both of her hands before placing them above her head, combining both balls of fire to combine within her hands.

"Fire Dragon's Magnificent Flame!"

She shouted, when the ball of fire grew twice its own size above her head. The wizards who were dashing toward her would slow down their pace at the sight of the enlarged ball of fire that seemed to be thrown toward their direction, but that wasn't the case. Mari lowered her arms before spinning in a clockwise rotation, before it started to lengthen outward, through the use of another spell. "Fire Dragon's Jaw Thrust", extending the length of the attack another 10 feet in front of her. Not before long would she throw a foot forward stopping herself to regain balance and footing as she continued to swing the enlarged fire ball into their direction.

"FIRE DRAGON'S MAGNIFICENT FLAIL!"

She shouted, a newly created combo spell, crafted by using her "Fire Dragon's Magnificent Flame" and "Fire Dragon's Jaw Thrust", extending the reach and allowing her to whip around the enlarged fire ball. The ball itself swung through the air and crashed through the ground itself scorching and destroying anything it picked up from the ground, being swung into the group of mages. Half of the mages that were charging into the fray were taking by the ball of fire being burned to a crisp as they were struck by her attack. Three mages including the more stronger mage jumped back in time to roughly dodge the attack, while still being plundered by the amount of heat it concentrated.

"Hoho...your stronger then appear..."

The stronger of the mages spoke being covered in cloth, staring at Mari as the spell begun to disperse into smoke as she lowered her arms awaiting for something to happen next.

Mages Defeated: 3 Lightning Mages

Mari jumping back and regaining her balance and breath, watching as her first attempt to use her combination attack in a successful manner. But what really caught her eye was the other two members, pursuing the situation with all their power rather then holding back. Mari nodded her head in the thought that she was going to need to change the way she fought at the moment, taking these mages to lightly she'd probably end up more hurt then the rest. They finished up beating up and defeating their portions awaiting the dark mages who reassembled together.

Mari, looking back noticed that Dryaw suddenly looked surprised before notifying them both that he had urgent business to attend to before dashing back in the opposite direction. It was a surprise that he had to leave right in the middle of a job, but he was with the Magic Council so it wasn't so surprising.

"Looks like we're going to need to punch a little harder."

She threw her right hand to her side taking hold of her gauntlets, unhinging them from her pants and throwing them up into the air, and pushed her hands through them as they were in the air. Grabbing their straps with her mouth she'd pull and tighten the gauntlets onto her hands, her power increased through equip of her gauntlets, releasing more magical energy from her body.

"Lets do this! Flaming Torrent - Arms of Ash!"

Throwing her arms outward, they'd instantly burst in flames with a enlarged smile on her face.

"Max!"

"Aye!"

They shouted toward each other, before max brought forth his wing that appeared on his back and with a single leap backward he blasted toward Mari, grabbing her from behind and lifting her high into the sky toward the mages. The elemental mages would start to shoot small beams of their element with Max dodging each one flipping or swerving toward the side before they were right above the group of mages, Max threw Mari a bit forward and flipped backward before Mari started concentrating more fire within her hands. Max kicked forward, allowing Mari to push herself a bit higher flipping in the air.

Some of the dark mages placed their hands together summoning an enlarged magic crest upon the ground.

"Darkness Pike!"

Four A rank mages spoke in sync as enlarged spikes of darkness would elongate into the sky toward Mari as she creates a red magic crest infront of her as she is in the air. One of the spikes flew into the air to quick that it struck her side. She quickly threw a hand around the spike pulling in close so that she'd dodge the other three spikes that struck and stayed in the air. Jumping from the spike she dropped above the mages.

"Eat this! Crimson Lotus: Fire Dragon's Fluorescent Wildfire!"

Her body exploded in a flurry of fire, her magic increased as in between her hands grew a large ball of fire condensed. Thrusting her hands forward the condensed fire would explode into a multitude of missile like objects that shot toward the mages beneath. As each one cam in contact with something, it would explode bombarding the entire area. The mages would try to run before being blown to pieces, some of which used a sphere like shield but before they knew it, it was already destroyed in the fray. The surrounding area would lift in dust and shambles as Mari flew right into the dust cloud created by her attack.

Within seconds the dust would disperse, Mari could be seen holding her side as blood would slip through her fingers. Max would smile as Mari display before rushing toward her air before watching her being consumed by a ball of darkness, blood would burst through slim cracks. Max stood there wide eyed and frozen as he watched Mari become eaten by the darkness.

"Nice job, using the spikes as a defense..."

One of the mages spoke, the smoke around them left revealing multiple spikes covering over them.

"And Iron Maiden is a great spell to hold a mage for a few moments. Lets get rid of the other one, we mustn't allow them to stop the summoning."

He spoke again.

Enemies Left:

Blood ozzed from the shadowed Iron Maiden created by the wizards who from afar watched as it's immobile gaze struck them as confidence in their power, seeing as they defeated one of their enemies as they attempted to bring forth their beast of terror. But of course there left the other, one mage stood solely as if not worried much of his ally, they snickered and stared at him with a certain gaze that he was to confident in both himself and his comrades. Looking toward the spheric probe that raised from the ground holding within the Fire mage, with nearby the small companion of her standing still and watching.

"Oi! Us three should be enough to handle this last one. Head back to the site. "He" should be arriving shortly"

One of them notified as he was followed by another two behind him, removing their cloaks for a better accustom, revealing their dark garbs underneath for more control and movement as they walked toward Zack with a cold stare. The other three decided to stay as they wanted to watch the next mage squeal for his mercy, they snickered and laughed with their mouths wide. Max wanted to help Zack in anyway he could but his legs wouldn't allow him too, he looked back at the capsule that withheld Mari for the time being and not even a single time did it budge whether or not she fought back or was finished was beyond him, the thought of her being defeated so easily was astonishing that even he couldn't think it.

"Mast..Mari. Don't give up."

He spoke under his breath as he bit his bottom lip till it bled on his fur, dropping into the dusty dry ground beneath him. One of the mages noticed Max in his position before starting to laugh furiously before getting the other two involved in the fray.

"Sorry little guy, but you shouldn't have had your friend fight stronger mages like us. Being weak must be a tough life, especially for bum rats like yourselves and your friend over there, this will be over eventually."

He spoke in an ignorant tone as he threw his hands up beside him shaking his head in displeased in this small battle of their. Max on the other hand found only hatred and anger from his words and threw him a menacing stare with his pupils staring at him from the side of his eyes as he'd grind his teeth.

".....Those who win....aren't strong........."

Max spoke as he turned toward the dark mage with his arms still by his side.

"IT IS THOSE WHO LOSE AND CRAWL BACK UP THAT ARE STRONG!"

He shouted on the top of his lungs, throwing his head upward toward the sky. As instantly the shadow cage withholding Mari exploded and dispersed int he sunlight and flames as she walked forward covered in both blood and flames.

"Time to finish off these Mages."

Mari spoke in a breathless tone.

Max felt his confidence rising from the ground up, he was going to have to step it up on this job since this isn't like the rest. Taking his eye off Mari for the moment hoping to find their companion in a situation to be able to gather together it seemed that he was not only ready but initiating an attack. His eye's widened at this point in battle combining their power was the best chance to combat these group of mages.

"Mastah! Fight together with Zack!"

Mari turned toward Max with curiousness in her eyes at his new turn about and nodded in agreement. Throwing herself into a crouched stance she pull her head back inhaling a large amount of air into her cheeks puffing them large and brightening from the generated fire that she held behind her lips. Beneath her feet a large blast of fire would erupt, crashing into the ground it would propel her forward with great speed. Throwing her hips up and over through the air she'd flip upside down and watched as Zack begun to use his own spell, Mari used hers.

"SKY DEMON'S HOWL."

"FIRE DRAGON'S ROAR!"

Mari shouted as she pull her fire enveloped hands in front of her lips firing the large blast of fire in a more concentrated form shooting straight into the enlarged wind devastated shout Zack had produced. Breaking through the end of his howl the fire would twirl and expand as the wind would continue the spin the flames, both ripping and charring the ground beneath it into nothing, completely obliterating the earth and leaving nothing but a large rounded cut in the earth. The mages were stunned at this power some were even astounded so much that they smiled and walked toward it as if praising it would give them more power.

"TASTE THE POWER OF THE STRONG! TASTE THEIR DRAGON DEMON'S BURNING CYCLONE WAIL!"

Max shouted as the their spell came in contact with the mages with a large explosion that imploded within seconds a large blunt wind outward blowing away the dust and stones that were on the top of ground, even Max was blown away before using his wings to catch himself and float toward Mari and Zack. From their position it was as if they left a large mark in the terrain big enough to be seen from the heavens, the dust cloud would float endlessly into the sky and stones would continue to drop as if it were raining. Though the sound of a crumble could be heard, as two large stones would lift and topple over as a single mage would rise from the scene, the same dark mage that toyed with the situation. Falling over at the loss of his legs he'd scream in agony.

"You'll pay! YOU'LL ALL PAY!"

He shouted before being consumed in his own shadows and quickly leave the scene, possibly going to obtain more troops to try to combat both Mari and Zack but the dark mages own true power has yet to be seen. On the other hand.

"Ho ho ho! I showed them a thing or two, didn't I master!? And didn't you guys like the name of your attack, came up with it on the spot, oh yes I did!"

Max spoke fulheartedly as his ears and tail stood up in his own praise. Mari chuckled to herself as she watched him walk forward with his chest and head held high, he had certainly changed and for the better. She on the other hand was more rather pushing herself to continue on, being succumbed by their strength in numbers she feels weakened and a bit famished. But it wasn't going to stop her and better yet she had a trick up her sleeve if it were to come to it, placing her hand on her chest she smiled and looked toward Zack.

"I believe that they came from that direction, seeing how they tried to protect that root. Not sure what we're going to be up against but I think we can manage."

She said with a bit of uncertainty but still she pressed on behind Max.

Three mages in black robes surrounded by unwildering darkness would stand motionless as they concentrate their magic power on the magic crest that continued to tighten physically upon the enlarged shard of earth that erected from the side of the crevasse forming what seemed to be a bell. A hand handled Bell crafted by the very rocks of the canyons, the very quiet canyons were about to be broken with a large ringing sound that might be heard for miles upon miles, obviously for some kind of summoning ritual.

"....Just a bit more....But those dam mages. I can see the wall being crafted from our position which means we don't have much time."

He spoke worryingly as a sweat dropped from his chin to the dry ground. Their chests moved heavily, breathing deeply as they were putting their all into this summoning ritual. Hoping that their time was not wasted.

A multitude of mages suddenly appeared before them rushing into action as they stood beside each other, throwing up their hands and focused their magic together. Concentrating their magic they'd work together in creating a enlarged wall that would spring upward from the ground. As the wall formed it created a large sparking sound as it solidified and seemed like crystal.

"WE HAVE TO HOLD THEM HERE! EVERYONE POUR YOUR VERY LIVES INTO THIS BARRIER!"

One of them shouted as Zack crouched and raised his blade above his head before propelling forward in a spinning formation that resembled a drill as he struck the wall. It started to crack and break before instantly started to repair itself and shot out tendrils to push back zack. Mari's face brightened as she watch him and his attack giving her an idea, quickly looking at Max having the same idea.

"Let's go Max!"

Mari shouted as she turned away from the wall and ran forward as Max followed summoning his wings he'd float forward grabbing his masters back. Taking her upward into the sky slowly but surely he'd increase his speed as he increased his altitude. Passing through clouds Max finally stopped allowing Mari's weight to turn them downward looking back onto the ground.

"MAX SPEED!"

Max would shout as he'd blast them forward breaking through the clouds causing them to push outward making a large hole in them revealing the large blue sky.

"Fire Dragon's Wings! Fire Dragon's Stream!"

Mari would shout as her limbs would erupt in fire and slowly grow out into lengthened streams of fire that would stretch out for a few miles. Max quickly sprung into a spinning rotation as Mari would place her arms forward bring the fire streams to consume them both, with the streams of intertwining into an even larger spinning vortex of fire. Coming down like a comet itself it would quickly lift itself as it got closer to the ground consuming the earth and scorched anything upon it as it struck forward toward the enlarged wall.

"Fire Dragon's Burning Path!"

Mari shouted releasing fire from her mouth as she spun, the front of the spinning fire would explode and enlarge as fire would stretch forward and twist. The physical appearance would change little by little until the front of the spinning vortex would resemble that of a dragons face. Fear ran down the faces of the dark mages as she got closer and closer.

"FIRE DRAGON'S BURNING PASSION!"

She roared as they clashed with the stubborn wall, bouncing off they'd rotate and strike the same spot over and over. Attempting strike it with a multitude of time before it would repair itself enough to be good as new. Their tendrils would appear but the fire's blunt force was to strong as they clashed and just crush them instantly. Finally striking it for the last time they'd push themselves further then before, the dragons head pressing against the wall in, even the face of the dragon would grow an angered expression as it'd press further into the crystallized wall. Shards would fly as she'd finally break the barrier, on the other side the mages would look up in their demise as Mari would plummet to the ground consuming a couple of mages before thrusting through the wall once again continuing to destroy it.

(I'm 100% fine with adding or combining spells to make it fun and harder. Just make sure to put some info about them. What they are, what rank, what they do. The basic stuff, or else I wouldn't know.

Fire Dragon's Burning Passion - Is borderline S rank spell, constructed by combining the spells "Wings, Stream and Burning Path" As well as Max's ability to fly. Next post it'll end since Max wouldn't be able to last forever in max speed move. But possibly in the future Mari would be able to produce it alone in the future.

I didn't know how strong the barrier was so don't think of it as god modding XD. Let me know if that's fine, if not I'll update it)

As soon as she broke the wall a second time, the fires would extinguish midflight with Max tired from using his highest speed trying to catch his breath, his wings would disperse and they'd plummet to the ground. Mari would quickly grab max and pull him into her chest throwing her back toward the ground as they crashed into the ground, upon none other then a couple of dark mages who weren't looking where they were suppose to.

"You ok Max?"

She'd ask worryingly but no response came from Max as he started to wheeze with every breath, Mari's worrying heart didn't know what to do. Her body jumped into the air from the gigantic beast that was just recent summoned by a couple of mages, sacrificing themselves in doing so seeing a couple of them untouched and yet on the ground. Mari rushed to put Max down with his back on the ground, to return to battle.

"I'll be back, just rest."

Mari jumped back into the fray though thought that getting rid of the mages would be the better approach seeing what kind of summons they could do if they worked together. Black smoke would flow from her nose as she moved forward, her arm turned bright yellowish orange with a red magic crest appearing above her fist. She threw a upper cut punch toward on of the mages who've brought his gaze away from the giant beast.

"Fire Dragon's Burning Knuckle"

She shouted as the magic crest moved in front of the her fist. As she punched it a large burning fist would blast from the center of the magic crest that would increase in size as it struck the mage into the air. She'd jump and axe kick the mage back into the ground. Using his body as she struck it to spin backward and swing her arm around toward another six mages.

"Fire Dragon's Ash Cloud!"

A magic crest would appear and she'd swing her hand horizontally. Upon the ground it would brighten beneath the feet of those mages before exploding upward, blasting them backward. As she touched the ground, she'd propel herself into the air once again with the use of her hands and feet blasting her into the air. Throwing her hands above her head to blast herself forward toward the fallen mages, as she stretched a leg outward and would burst into flames. As she came into contact with at least one of them, she'd cause an explosion that would blast them all would blast them outward with scorch marks and bruises around them their bodies.
