The sun was out and the streets of the port city were their usual crammed with people and noisy street vendors. An annoying background noise Gemma was willing to tolerate though- finally a bit of time off in a place that was the opposite of the dreary Phoenix Mountains. Sea air did have it's own qualities, and once she finally manages to make it through the throngs of people in the busy shop filled street she'll be in her inn and enjoy the calm and silence. Two thing that seem to be lacking more and more in her life recently.
Gemma kept and eye out for her surroundings, seeing some kind of glow in the distance. Huh, a magic street vendor? she thought to herself as she tried to raise her head above the crowd, slightly curious even if she wasn't big on magical items. It's always interesting to keep up to date with the market. Standing on her tip toes once more, she got a good view of the street vendor and started heading quickly in that direction, her gaze still anchored to the glow.
Suddenly she felt a sudden impact on most of her right side as someone ran right into her, pushing her to the floor among the large crowd and sending her glasses flying. She groaned as she pushed herself up to a sitting position on the floor, blinking slowly as she adapted to her blurry view, barely able to see clearly past her hands. "Couldn't you be more careful?" she grumbled, slightly sure that whoever ran into her was further away, not that she would be able to tell anyway.
