Strengths:

Lightweight and fast.
Durable against physical attacks of the same rank.
Incredibly sharp, when combined with it being lightweight and fast, is extremely useful for slicing, cutting, and slashing.
Can hit an enemy twice per attack attempt at normal speed (Can attempt to strike an enemy twice in the same post, though even though it is fast there is no guarantee of a direct hit.)

Weaknesses:

Not very strong, so Alistair must rely on consecutive attacks with this weapon.
Vulnerable to magic attacks. Will break if it takes up to C-rank damage from magic attacks (Can be cumulative from D-rank spells.)
Will break if used to block a higher-ranked weapon.
Will only deal half D-rank damage per hit
