The Toughtest Mission of All Time

Naraca Breaker, also some could call the Black Haired Beast. A 7 foot tall tower of muscle and power, easily the biggest man in Lamia Scale and possibly one of, if not the biggest man in the world. Most of his life was lived as a nomad, a person with no place to call home, a traveler. Through that he became an experienced hunter, living most of his life in the wild, learning how to be just like an animal. Although very stoic, and noble normally, in battle and during the hunt he is just like an animal, a beast. A man who carried these traits and was very good at using them.

Yet today, was a day he had to put all of these skills to use.

Crouched and perfectly hidden within a bush and foliage, he was perfectly camouflaged within the environment of the underbrush within the property of someones backyard.
His eye's honed in on his prey, he was ready to pounce like a lion. Unseen, unheard, you would only know he was there in the moment of death.

Although the prey of the giant was small, it was no doubt something he could not underestimate.

The prey licked itself tauntingly, as though it didn't have a care in the world.

The beat within the bush inched closer.
The ears of the prey twitched and it turned straight to the hunter.

Naraca's eye's widened as he was discovered. In a quick motion he launched himself out from the bush, leaves, roots and branches.
"Come here cat!" Naraca beckoned as he was in mid-air with his hands out stretched to catch the agile animal.

The cat, like a lightning bolt suddenly dashed to Naraca's right, going out of his reach in an instant, causing him to end up with nothing to grab forcing him to roll his landing.

"Grab it Kihia!" He shouted as the cat began to jump up on a nearby fence to continue it's escape.

Kihia nodded from his hiding place, as he saw Naraca moving in to try and catch the pesky feline. If there is one animal that is hard to catch…it’s the domestic cat when it doesn’t want to be caught. He saw Naraca lunge for the cat after being spotted which it darted off towards Kihia’s direction. He then lunged forward in attempt to catch the cat, which it countered by jumping up and then using Kihia’s head as a spring board to avoid him.

Kihia groaned and then grabbed Icarus and held it in his left hand, Let’s try something new I learned to do recently… He channeled a moderate amount of magical power into Icarus, layering it in a special way so after a moment the spell will activate, Ice make Terrain…has been stored…lets see how well this works. Kihia then started to run the direction the cat was headed and then threw Icarus like a spear. It flew through the air a good distance, flying over the cat and impeding itself into the ground a few meters ahead of the cat. “Naraca, if you manage to make the cat run past Icarus, tap the center of it!”

Of all the missions to be given, both Kihia and Naraca, trained wizards that have been through many battles and traumas were assigned a job like this. They were loyal to the guild and took their jobs seriously, however that didn't take away the blow to their status as wizards. Were wizards of guilds actually hired for jobs like this? Naraca didn't see wizards being much different then soldiers, and a soldier would never do something so trivial. Although to be fair, this cat was a freak of nature with how agile it was.

Running as fast as he could, he jumped over the fence that cat jumped over and followed in hot pursuit, seeing Kihia's attempt come close to end in the same way as his own. Damn it! he thought.
He rushed passed Kihia to keep following the cat. As soon as the cat could it'd sharply turn in one direction or the other to get into some narrow corridor he wouldn't be able to reach. It's how all cats were able to get away from pursuers so quickly.

Not too far away he saw Kihia's ice staff stab into the ground not too far away from them, followed by the words the explain what it was for.
"Got it!" He replied
The cat, in fear of the staff attempted to turn away from it.
"No you don't!" His irritation pushed out through his heavy breaths as he quickly dive rolled to the side the cat was running towards. The rolling giant scared the cat to going back to it's original course, going in the general direction of the staff.

Knowing he wouldn't be able to catch it in a pursuit on foot, he instead made his way to the staff, tapped it'd center like he was told. The moment he did that he ran right for the cat as the sheet of ice zoomed across the ground to form the ice rink.
No doubt any locals nearby would be just as confused as they might be worried.
The ice sheet underneath Naraca's feet, and in just a moment underneath the cats paws. To which it began to slow under the new ground and slip.

"Gotcha now!" He called feeling like victory was at hand. He jumped up so he would go up and over the cat to land right in front of it. In mid-air the cat somehow regained it's footing and jumped towards Naraca.
Was it coming to his embrace to accept defeat and surrender itself to him? Not quite.

In this life or the next you might not ever see a cat do this, but somehow, but either the cats superb reflexes and quick thinking, or Naraca unknowingly being struck by a spell that gave him the worst luck. The cat flew right towards the big mans crotch with his paws out stretched and claws showing. He attempted to reach down, yet it was too late. The cats claws perfectly stuck into Naraca's groin, causing the cats lower body to flip upwards and it's claws the trail down his nether region until it's stomach hit Naraca's butt, yet not before causing him a sudden sharp pain in his groin and making him bend over in mid-air still, letting the cat continue using the momentum to get it's back paws on his back, and jump off him. Letting him fall to the ground chest first and the cat continuing the run and Naraca could only hold his crotch region with the sudden sharp pain of a cats claws that stream lined there way in all the wrong places.

"Ahhh, I cannot believe it!" He protested in frustration and pain, as he struggled to get up after hitting the ground.

Kihia grimaced as he saw his spell back fire and Naraca get hit in the most unpleasant of areas, That…had…to hurt… Kihia then turned his focus back to the cat, and started to skate at the cat all full speed. That cat won’t make a fool out of me…! He watched as the cat had stopped moving and had let it self-slide across the ice waiting for Kihia to reach him. “I have you now!” Kihia dove trying to catch the cat which had just reached a small rock and pushed off it to quickly change direction. Kihia’s jaw dropped when he saw this, “You darn Cat!!” Kihia flew through the air and crashed into a nearby bush.

Kihia laid there for a moment muttering under his breath cursing the cat. Kihia then used a nearby tree to stand back up and located the direction where the cat was headed. Straight for Naraca…

There they were, two men, bested by a cat. Kihia sticking out of a bush like a thrown away rag doll, and Naraca holding the location where his most important Jewels were and laying on his side.
Yet the cat, in it's victory, casually walked over to Naraca as though none of this happened and with it's purring it rubbed it's side on his back. The feeling caused him to turn around and roll over to his other side, the cat moving away slightly to get out of the way before sitting in place and looking at him curiously.
The man's face, confused and angry he started back.
"You...Ain't gonna run?" The beast asked with a low growl, looking like it was ready to crush the cat with his bare hands.
Yet the cat seemed unphased by him, as though it was just waiting with only a quiet meow in acknowledgement.
Slowly lifting hand up he reached it towards the cat.

"Alright then...You just, stay right there okay?" He said a bit more softly, not wanting to scare it off again and go on a perilous conquest after this little rodent. He didn't understand this sudden change in it's attitude, yet he wouldn't question it. The thing was finally still.
His fingers slowly grazed the soft fur on the back of it's beck before he lightly grasped the nape of it's neck to ensure it wouldn't try to escape.
"Good..." He whispered before sitting up and sinking a second hand underneath it's stomach to pick it up and let it rest within his arms. It appeared as though it didn't care at all about the events that took place prior to this moment.
"Kihia I got it!...Well sorta" The last part his whispered as he actually didn't catch it rather it just gave itself to him.
"Lets head back while it's still in a good mood" He added before going back into the direction of where the cat lived.

Kihia waved at Naraca signaling that he heard that he successfully had gotten the cat. Thank goodness…. Kihia took a sigh of relief and tapped his foot on the ice sheet to dispel it. Kihia then walked over to Icarus and grabbed it with his right arm and pulled it out of the ground. Kihia then walked over to Naraca and helped him stand up with the cat still in his hand.

They had walked back to the tipi where their client lived, they had given the cat back, they had received their payment and had started to walk down the road that would take them back to Hargeon Town. Kihia sighed, This…was the most embarrassing thing…I have ever taken apart of…. Kihia looked at Naraca, Although this experience was probably more embarrassing for Nara… Kihia cleared his voice, and then quietly spoke up, “Let’s make sure….not to mention what happened here…ever…”
