First Job: To Earthland...And Beyond

Yukine's first job: what a pleasure it was. Though he was all alone while doing it, Yukine felt so eager to complete his job, and go home saying "I did it!" He had been sent here by his guild immediately after taking the information paper off the board. Not only was Yukine so excited about completing this job, but also about getting his passport. He was always the type to travel, and so this reward would surely benefit him. Upon wandering through Rose Garden, Yukine saw a rather large line of people gathered to buy a passport. Having this job, specifically, it was just a matter of getting his, especially since it seemed to be free as a reward. In one hand was a meatball marinara sandwich, magically enfused to greatly heal a Mage's health. Yukine would first enter the line while eating this sandwich, then investigate the scene.

Yukine noticed that it took a while for even one person to move up the line. "What's going on?" He asked himself, tilting his head over to try and find the front of the line. There was a man rampaging about getting his group passports. By what he was overhearing, it seemed the vendors weren't giving this man and his group passports due to the fact that they were all...thieves? Yukine had to solve this issue, and so first, he silently spoke to those around him, telling them that he was about to 'take a stand'. In about six seconds, a chant could be heard: "You who would desecrate this land of the rising sun, with the advent, I, Kichiro Yukine, lay waste with the Sekki, and expel thy defilement! Having said this chant, the Sekki would activate, having Yato appear in Yukine's hand. It seemed the criminals saw it as, in the very moment the sword appeared, they turned around angrily.

Having turned to him angrily, and noticed him all the way from the front of the line, the thieves would yell at him: "So you're a Mage, huh?" Without answering, Yukine would separate himself from the line. He points Yato towards the thieves, and demands that they leave immediately. "We're not moving from this line!" The criminals shout, now beginning to threaten the vendors for passports, and stealing jewels, "If you wish to attack us, so be it! We'll be more than happy to teach you a lesson, swordsman!" Still not responding to their words, Yukine prepares himself for battle.

Yukine swiftly charges the criminals, brushing his index and middle finger across the side of the blade as he does so, activating Yato. The criminals began to jump towards him, though as they did so, everyone could notice a deep change in Yukine; he was a lot faster now. Rapidly swinging his blade upon a couple of them, it was only a matter of seconds before these two battles were over; two thieves down. Noticing some of their men down, Yukine now saw the entire army charge him. The crowd roared in excitement as Yukine fought his way through the thieves. However, as Yukine kept defeating these men with the same tactics, he noticed there was always one hiding in the back. Slashing more aggressively, Yukine would eventually uncover this man's identity. Strong wind currents rose in Yukine's direction, causing him to drop his sword as only one remained!

Simply by swinging his arms, Yukine could notice that this man could not only expel wind currents, but also make it difficult for Yukine to stand firmly on the ground. "More speed! I need more speed!" Yukine shouted as he kept getting knocked over, taking a quick glimpse of the fallen Yato. This is when an idea came to mind. "Sekki!" Yukine yelled, having the sword turn into its Regalia form again, and merge with him. Yukine, now angered, stood up bravely after yelling, indefinitely gathering more attention from this thief. This man prepared himself to launch an extreme wind current upon Yukine- that is, until his rapid change in speed caused Yukine to evade the technique. "Too slow..." Yukine whispered before giving a full-force punch into the man's face, rendering him unconscious. With all of the criminals out of the way, the line moved much more swiftly, and before he knew it, Yukine had his passport!
