Find My Lino Cub! ( Jojo & Indar )

Indar had taken a job at Serene cliff, a place where he had never been before. Since the job was fairly difficult he had hoped that someone from Sabertooth would have tagged along but everyone was busy. So he had had to take the job on alone not knowing what would happen. How does someone have a pet lion, realizing what he just said he understood what a hypocrite he was, Well, i do have a gigantic pet snake so i guess a lion is nothing. But where on earth do i search for a lion cub or how? Indar kept on pondering about it until finally reaching Serene cliff, he sat down on a nearby rock, looking down the cliff. This place truly is serene, Indar adjusted his jacket and pulled down his hood. He was relaxing right before a dangerous job, the moose that had been wandering in these areas was intriguing Indar.

So with nothing else to do he stood up and decided the best spot to look would be a little bit away from the cliff. Or maybe down the cliff. Who knew where the cub had wondered off to and just looking for it without a clue is really difficult. Maybe the smell of cooked meat would bring it out. Well Indar had to get started so he decided he would search down the cliff first, so without looking what was down at the part he was going down, he slid down the cliff, only to hit straight into someone, Ugh... Sorry, I wasn't looking where i was going. Looking at the person, he saw a familiar face, Jojo?

Jojo awoke the morning with a normal decisive attitude, looking around with a curious moment with eyes swirling and watching around with a casual thought. The day was decent, her body bathing in the riverbed as she washed the grime away from her shoulders and arms, from the rest of the body as followed along her dark skin. The short hair along her easily enough allowed her to grin and move forwards, her body clothing in the normal wears of the peasant. The unnaturally wear of plain clothing of sackcloth that draped her body, her legs, and her feet in leathers with easy enough twines of roping. Atop her chest and shoulders rested her iron armor, the armor that had no value whatsoever but aided enough for her to wear it traditionally.

Moving along the earthen path, her feet walking and her eyes watching with a grin as she smiled and popped her neck with a happy smile. She did not expect one thing however, the actuality of being bumped into. Yet she was bumped into by someone she knew, someone she met a few days ago along the forest edge of ash and volcano dirt. Her eyes looking at him from the ground up, her eyes staring up at him as she happened to be helplessly on the ground dazed, but her eyes easily enough looked at him in moments, “So the pervert in disguise has arrived randomly again?” She said with a tease, her eyes looking up at him while having just laid there on the ground, looking up.

Indar was really surprised to meet Jojo here, he had only met her a few days ago and now they had literally ran into each other. This event was fairly surprising and not something Indar expected to happen. While looking at Jojo, she said “So the pervert in disguise has arrived randomly again?”, it was true, Indar had a tenancy to arrive randomly. But not like this usually, this was right out of a story, nothing like this usually happened in real life. Jojo, didn't we go over this, i'm not a pervert but i am not going to argue about the disguise.

As Indar stood up and looked around for a second just before helping Jojo up, he thought if Jojo would want to help him, she could maybe get some jewels this way as well. What are you doing here Jojo, Indar asked with a curious look on his face. I was wonderin if you would like to help me on this job i'm doing, it seems like it was a request for two people originally so i would be happy if you could help. Indar just said it out in a single breath and was a little nervous asking for someones help who he didn't know that well.

Indar took a seat on a nearby rock, adjusted his jacket and waited for Jojos answer. As he waited he hummed a tune and was just looking around thinking about the job. He had a habit of falling into his thoughts and not paying attention while in this state. Anything Jojo might have said he couldn't hear and would be needed to be pretty much woken up, he was sleeping with his eyess open.

Jojo liked teasing the poor boy, always made for good fun and laughter as well while she shook her head. The way he spoke still defying the nature that all growing boys had, it was the curiosity of the opposite sex after all that provoked the word pervert to be used to often. Yet she was surprised he was not going to argue about disguises, that part was the most surprising while she looked and watched him serenely. Yet she question was put out while she held his hand coming up to her feet. “Well, I was actually just sleeping around here, looking to do some hunting as well but not too certain.” Then the question about a job, that part interested her the most as she looked at him.

The job itself was originally something for two people that part was easy enough but she needed to know details, and as she watched him take a seat, she eased up some. However before she spoke she recognized the boy’s expression was lax, a sleeper’s expression when sleeping with eyes open was a trait she saw many times over and only giggled as she figured to play a prank on him. She kissed his cheek, a random and spontaneous kiss of the warmth from her lips onto his cheek and if that did not shock him awake she would lean in. A whisper to his ear, “Wake up so we can do this mission unless you rather skip the formalities and have me kill you hear and now little man.” She whispered with a suppressed giggle behind her lips.

Indar snapped out of his state, due to the warmth of Jojos kiss. He didn't get what happened right away, but as he saw her close to him he understood it. He was a little shocked from it as no one usually acted this way to him. But nothing prepared him for what happened next, as Jojo whispered into his ear “Wake up so we can do this mission unless you rather skip the formalities and have me kill you hear and now little man.” Indar was a little surprised from this, but got up turned his back to Jojo and said: Well then you would have to try, little girl. I am not that weak, that i could just be killed. Indar had a twisted smile on his face, Jojo had awakened his insanity, though Indar didn't know how.

During the insanity Indar was like a new person, more dangerous, that's for sure but he acted more without thinking. He wasn't the same but the thing was, he didn't like this state, he was an ass during this time and usually managed to ruin his life. Though in the times between now and when he joined Sabertooth it had come out but he hadn't done nothing bad with it. Well Jojo, you have just managed something no other person in my life had before. You awakened the well evil in me, but how you did it i have no clue. Indar had a evil look on his face, something like a serial killers. With that look, he stared into Jojos eyes.

Jojo smiled, watching Indar’s body go from the normally cat styled relax to that alert panther style. However, the panther she saw in him was unlike something she normally did, no this panther had a whole new side to the mystery of this man she met on the volcano grounds. Her eyes watching him and a grin of her lips forming when she nodded and listened to the insanity speaking he performed. “Well Indar, I do believe that for one to be so bold to speak like that means you are now ready for this mission to begin.” She grinned, her eyes watchful of him while not taking away the majesty she saw in them as well. It was a normal rigid view, a similar taste as she peered and watched curiously all at once.

Moving from there, she stepped towards the trail, leaning away from the man as her wake up of him led to a better way of making due for her thoughts, “So you still have yet to tell me what exactly this mission is of.” Her ears picking up little sounds here and there that were not involved with the two of them, but still a sound to be wary of all at the same time. Sounds always meant something, whether being the hunter or the hunted. Safety was always and should always be a major concern, and her eyes watching made way for it to be double true. Moving her body forwards and then waiting for him to answer as she watched him more now.

Yes, yes i am, Indar answered Jojo with a mildly calm voice. He had let out all the steam but the insanity didn't want to disappear around Jojo, it stayed but was controllable. It was the first time Indar enjoyed the feeling. The feeling of being able to do anything but at the same time control it. It was the best feeling he ever had and it was all thanks to Jojo. He didn't know how it was happening but it was and he didn't want to question it. He just wanted to enjoy it.

As Jojo asked about the job Indar explained that they need to recover someones lost lion cub, which was fairly weird but the job did pay well. It wasn't an easy job and as Indar told Jojo about the monsters that were in the area and especially the moose. When Indar finished explaining he looked at Jojo and asked: Well do you want to do it then or what?, I need to get it started and don't have a lot of time. He understood it may have come out a little rude but he just was short on words. The feeling he got when being with Jojo was too much for a person who hadn't been close to anyone since his childhood. He felt good and it was amazing.

So with waiting for Jojos answer he looked into the forest, that was standing not far from them.
The cub is probably in there. Indar looked at Jojo with a smile which still looked a little twisted. Well you coming then?

Jojo was kind of pleased with how things were turning out, seeing a whole new side of this person led on to knowing that a person, much like herself, had many facets and hats to wear. It was all relatively interesting to explain while she did partake in learning that their job was to rescue a lion cub for someone. The mere belief someone was hosting for a lion cub sent her aback and her eyes narrowed slightly, furrowing her brow at the same time. Who in their right mind cared for a lion cub as an everyday pet. It was truly something she did not understand. However, such questions were better off left unanswered as she nodded in concurrence. The face there was also some beasts out there let her know that they could definitely have some fun along the way.

Jojo smiled while looking in at the forest, perking an eyebrow and smiling when following towards the cavernous forest. “I would not dream of missing this. It sounds like quite a way to spend the day or week if finding the cub is to take so long.” She smiled more now, enjoying the thrill of the hunt with her eyes looking over and easily she only grinned when looking at the trails themselves, thinking on just how much trouble this will bring and what exactly there will be to all this that they have to do. “So, we know he is more than likely in the forest, any other clues to the location?” Jojo asked with curiosity, just so the mission will go as smoothly as possible for each of them.

Indar was walking towards the woods, with Jojo right behind him. He was happy, that Jojo decided to come along, the job wouldn't be boring then at least and he could finally see what magic she used. She seemed to getting into it and wanting to do this, well hopefully it would be interesting and not that they would find the lion cub right away. But Indar remembered not asking any information about where the lion cub was last seen or how did they know it was a Serene Cliff. Indar sighed, he didn't know anything, he had just crabbed the job poster and came to Serene Cliff.

He had a look of shame, with his head down, I have no clue where the cub is, we need to search the whole area. He stopped for a second as he had just heard a sound, he had no clue what it was but something was near them. He knew there were creatures here but this far out of the woods, it had to be something small or it wouldn't be able to hide. He looked around at while coming face to face with Jojo who was right behind him, he froze just a little bit. They were extremely close and Indar being himself only thought of the job, he muttered, Did you hear that, it sounded like something?

Indar couldn't really move away from Jojo, he really wasn't very good with people but it was like a challenge for him, to do jobs with others.

Jojo was shocked at how he did not have a better observation for what was to come. She merely continued following after him though, thinking on what exactly there was around here that could possibly utilize as a staging ground of where this so called Lion creature was. Jojo absolutely found this to be a fault for what she understood but her eyes gazed around until she heard something and with his response she nodded, “I heard it too.” Such a sound, it was unclean, unique, and yet she only understood slightly what it was as her neck popped and with a calm intensity of her decision she walked towards the creature’s location, walking past the man who stood before her.

“I told you about my cannibalism, but understand that anytime I release my magic that comes out of me and I need you to do your best to keep from being in the path of my magic.” She understood this was the first time showing just what was known in the world for so long she had kept it hidden but now she was releasing it and her eyes gazed, feeling the bone density lighten up. Slowly she only grinned with a smile before her own side of insanity slowly began, her bones coming together and lessoning to strengthen herself while it was just a glow, a glow of her own body where she crouched down and slowly prepared herself with a clap of the hands to summon her blades. “Twin blade dance!”

The blade growing out, the very blades coming out while her own arms, shooting the bone out and her arms crossing while she allowed herself to then summon up the second magic as well, “Wicked Flight!” Her smile only forming up as she only grinned and understandably her magic now bolstered, the magic of both speed and offence now birthed with her legs pushing forwards and all that was seen of her was a blur now with what she was doing. Her magic allowed for her to rush at the beast with slicing blades to defeat this thing, or things that appeared directly before her. Her multiple attacks ranging in the tens to hundreds of swings all from her speed that was faster than seventeen meters per second only lead to a harsher destruction of her foes.

Indar was amazed how easily Jojo took care of the bird. Those things weren't a joke but for her it seemed easy. She just dashed through it, well at least it looked like it. But the magic was werid, like nothing he had seen before. I need to ask her about it. Indar was prepared to fight, but it looked like that he wasn't needed. He lowered his guard and looked into the forest while Jojo was still fighting. He looked around the area only to hear more sounds from the forest, but nothing like a lion cub. He sighed, the job would take ages and what if something had happened to the lion cub. There were son many possibilities of where it may be. When he walked back to Jojo, seeing as she had no problem with the raptor bird.

Well that looked easy for you, kinda happy i asked you to come along now. Well as long as you don't try to eat me. Indar was in between intrigued and frightened by Jojo, it was a weird emotion for someone. He had lost his insane look, due to taking this more seriously now. He looked at more mature like this, pulling up his hood and adjusting his jacket. Well we need to find that lion cub, so if we see any more enemies just finish them quickly. Indar was getting really serious and wasn't really like he had been before with Jojo. That magic of yours, what is it exactly?

Jojo was heaving heavy breaths as what she did was extraordinary and quite swift in her manner as she eased herself and slowly drew breaths in and out before finally popping her neck and then smiled more, “Well yes, it was pretty easy. I thought it would be harder than what was normally heard of when it came to beasties like that one. However, the creatures I hear ahead of use definitely sound many in number. I count five by the sound of it. I’ll take out as many as I can while others many come forth.” She slowly looked at the person that asked, looking at her kodachi made of bone and then the wakizachi.

“The magic I utilize is bone magic, my own bones accelerate in capacity or decelerate while also I can make weapons of my bones. Now then, I would suggest that you keep those eyes of yours away, because in a bit I will be going on a rampage and no one will be safe.” She hears the beasts ahead, preparing her blades and grinning that much more as she prepares herself to attack. Her eyes staring straight ahead while only grinning further and smile in the same manner while running forwards and dashing, “Look for that lion, I’ll take care of these beasts.” She grins, ready to kill and devastate her foes all in the same manner. Killing, slicing, and decimating her foes were the joy of her life and she only wanted to do her joys and best skill in attacking. However, in her acts there was one beast unaccounted for.

First, was a moose, one she lopped off its legs starting with before she forced forwards and began erupting her blades forwards. Her blades slicing this beast apart with her legs sliding underneath the giant albino moose with her legs sliding down under it with the guts spilling out. She only grinned while the next two monsters were weak swarms of bugs, her speed against them were issued to slicing apart with rapid movement and impossible defense. Grinning more while two hawks came swooping down and then aimed to grip her shoulders. Such a fiendish move while she ducked down and slit the birds in half with a toss of her blades upwards.

Her speed dashing her out before finally slicing these preposterous foes to tinier bits while the moose had landed up able to attack her while its guts were hanging out. She was weaponless, until the two birds landed back to her feet before she found herself having these two birds fall beside her on both sides with her eyes grinning and as the moos charged she pulled the blades free and cut the moose’s antlers off as well as its head in the uncanny speed she possessed. Little to her knowledge a third hawk was speeding down to attack her once again.

She is fairly strong, got to give her that, Indar mumbled while looking at Jojo fight. He felt kinda useless but someone had to find the lion cub before more showed up. The damn thing was no where to be seen and it hadn't left behind any clues. It was like searching for a needle in a haystack, almost impossible. This wasn't going to end well if Indar didn't find the cub fast. As Jojo fought Indar searched for the lion cub everywhere, but never went so far that he could see how Jojo was doing. There was no need for her to get hurt or injured. He had invited her onto this job and had to make sure she stays okay. As he was just on his way to the next patch of bushes, Indar noticed a Raptor bird charging towards Jojo without her noticing. She won't be able to block it, got to help her. Indar ran as fast as he could towards Jojo, focusing on the bird and just as it was about to attack Jojo, Indar yelled: Abyssal Brutalizer. His leg covered itself in black shadowy metal. Indar hit the bird straight on, sending it flying into the woods. Indar landed right behind Jojo, looking at her, Got careless for a second there? Indar had his insane, happy smile back.

But as he was looking at Jojo, he saw something behind her head, it was the little lion, covering in fear behind a rock. It must have heard them talking before and came looking but cot scared when the fight started. The lion cub, is there. Indar pointed behind Jojo.

Jojo grinned, seeing the shadow darkened attack with a blink of her eye as she perked up and enjoyed that much more while moving forwards and enjoyed a steadiness to her, as she looked directly forwards and grinned more now. A giggle to her lips as she only smirks while twirling the blades, blood flinging off the bones as the bodies each fell to a disastrous moment. She only smiled and searched with a calm certainty as a popping of her neck happened and she curiously looked directly towards the left and right side and kept all her timing to the best of her ability, as she knew they could easily be attacked yet again in some instance.

“Well, I can suggest eating the lion. I used up some magic and know that I could definitely use the meal. Or was the mission to return the lion to the owner and not eat him.” She giggled more and smiled while poking the ground and on the ground was the blood of the moose, and plucking an eyeball she plopped it in her mouth, eating it like it were candy yet she did keep her magic active. She wondered just what they were going to do now that they got the lion, and she only smiled more now and continued to swirl her finger around in the blood while listening to things all around the area from her. She grinned, the eyeball’s juice flowing down the sides of her lips, and she smiled more now, grinning in the evil timing, she had here.

“Well, I can suggest eating the lion. I used up some magic and know that I could definitely use the meal. Or was the mission to return the lion to the owner and not eat him.” Indar had a questioning look on his face, was she serious, if she was she was even more messed up than him. Indar was at a loss of words, he had no clue what to say. Just, I think it is best for us not to eat the lino cub, because the client kinda want's it. He sighed, but just when he looked back at Jojo, he got a little grossed out. A normal person would probably get sick but as seeing that Indar wasn't normal he was just really grossed out by the eyeball eating.

But then again it was getting dark and the village the lion had to be delivered was far away. He was lost in his thoughts again, thinking about the possibilities that might happen here. Indar was scared of being around Jojo at night, she being a cannibal and all. Indar sighed yet again, this was probably noticeable to Jojo by now. Well what do you think we should do, take the long walk at night back to the village or stay here for the night and go to the village. It is up to you, but which ever you choose you must promise not to eat me or eat the lion cub. Indar took the lion cub into his arms and sat down onto a rock near Jojo.

Jojo smiled, deactivating her magic while tossing her blades deep into the forest, her eyes on the ground and then at the man she was partnered with for the mission. A wicked smile along her lips, as she looked at him with a relative ease in the same process. She popped her neck once again and then easily enough used her fingernails to dig into the beast’s lean meat along the leg itself. “Well, if we are staying the night in this location, there is plenty to eat, and judging by you probably having thought I was joking when I first told you I was a cannibal and then being freaked out at the same time, I suggest we cook the meal.” Her eyes drew to some firestones and the sticks laying about as well as the antlers.

She fashioned the fire, the cooking and eating utensils out of antler, and then the meat of the moose for the fire as she smiled and began cooking. “I will promise not to eat either of you, but I will suggest we keep a watch order for the night in four hour shifts. I’ll take first watch and if anything happens I’ll alert you or if I can handle it, I will do so myself.” She did not know how far the village was, but it was easy enough to understand that her own being present was a danger if she were to harm either Indar or the lion cub. It was their mission to retrieve it and she did not feel that incurring the wrath of Sabertooth guild without her own self-being known was a strange move.

animal side averted

Indar had really thought she was joking about the cannibal part, but then again you never knew in this world. There could be a devil or an angel behind every corner. But the rampage Jojo had gone on had given them a lot of food, even though some of it was bugs. Something Indar hated out of the bottom of his heart. He wasn't very hungry actually, so when Jojo made a fire, Indar just sat there staring into it. He wasn't afraid of fire, it instead made him feel safer. This wasn't explanatory, even he didn't know why. But as it came to eating, he wasn't a big one. He only eat enough to live and gain energy, nothing more. He did love to drink so when Jojo was eating, he pulled out a beer from his bag and handed another one to Jojo. He drank it slowley and time passed quickly, Do you know why you turned cannibal? The question just slipped out, he was asking it like it was nothing but in reality he had been thinking about it since the day they met. He stared at Jojo, with a questioning look.

Well anyways, i'll take the first look out, you sleep for four hours. I'll wake you up then. Indar sat there, looking into the fire, with a serious look. He was a person who everyone hated when he was younger, he frightened people who knew of him, but joining Sabertooth and meeting all these people who share even a few similarities. He was happy now and when he was happy, he pulled out a fez from his bag and put it on. He just sat there, leaning against a rock, with a fez on enjoying the fire.

Jojo was shocked he asked about why she turned that way. It was ironic and unique all at once. Never before had she ever actually thought of why she was a cannibal until now. It was the magic she learned, that she trained so readily to use at the beckoning call. The magic that caused her to lose control and kill her brothers and sister and eat their bodies and souls. Truly a display of the power she wielded but she hated it at the same time. “I became a cannibal due to the magic I use. The magic that corrodes the mind’s intellect and forces it into that of an animal. Something I don’t think I can control fully yet, however I still plan to perfect the style and make it useful to the fullest ability I have.”

She sighed lightly, looking at him after having said she herself would take the first watch but then he stated how he would be the one to take it. She sighed, leaning back and resting against the dirt ground, looking at the stars with a rest. She was a light sleeper, thankfully any sound within proximity of her body’s danger calculation led to her being awakened, that much would be useful and her breathing came in and out. Slow deep breaths while she heard the winds and her easy sleep made way to rest well enough. Then a sound was approaching, the sound was many and the sound could be mistaken from wings to footsteps. She could not tell yet her eyes widened, “Something is coming.”

Indar wasn't sleepy at all and didn't really want to even lie down either. He was just thinking again, now though about some random things that just kept popping into his head. Like his past jobs and the people he went on them with. Every now and then he looked at Jojo, then at the little lion who had fallen asleep next to his leg. Bus suddenly just as Indar was fiddling with his fez, Jojo opened her eyes and said, “Something is coming.” Indar hadn't heard anything, but he had been in his thought so it was no surprise. Looking at Jojo, he said: I'll go and check it out, you have done enough fighting today already. He got up, adjusted his fez and walked away from the fire. He couldn't see anything or hear anything. He did find a rather large bug that was trying its best to bite him. Gauntlets, with a swift hit he crushed the bug, leaving it there.
While walking back to the fire, he was snickering, Jojo, u were scared of a little beetle you know that. He couldn't hold back the laughter, the person he had fought off all the creatures before, was scared of a bug. Indar didn't like bugs but taking them down wasn't a problem. He sat down again, There shouldn't be anything out here anymore, you scared them all away before. Indar took off his fez and spinned it around his finger, looking at Jojo as she fell asleep. He had just gotten a burst of energy from the laughter.
