Secondary Magic: Corrosion Magic
Caster or Holder: Caster
Description: Corrosion is the slow decay or detioration of objects. If it has form, and can be corroded, and this magic harnesses and then applies that rule. Corrosion magic focuses on stuff like acid, magma, and rust to quickly eat away defenses and armor and then destroy the flesh underneath, making it a very dangerous, and painful, style to face.
The magic works in two ways, forming fields, and splash bomb attacks. The spells are cast by either forming the spell in the users palm and launching at the opponent, or generating the required spell from the hand in a bit less controlled way.
Strengths: -Excels at breaking down barriers and armor
-highly effective vs metal, stone, wood, and ice users
-deadly to melee fighters and close range magic
Weaknesses: -Weak to water and wind magic
-weak against ranged combatants
-several spells can harm, or even kill, allies and bystandards
Abilities/Powers: Users of this magic tend to have a higher resistance to poisons and diseases, due to eventual resistance and antibodies through exposure to many of the spells side effects
Name: Acid armor
Rank: D
Type: Acid/defensive
Description: The user generates a field of acid in a mist form, capable of eating through most metals quickly, and causing severe acid burns to flesh, as well as being useful against wood, ice, and even stone, from the palms of his hands, which quickly surrounds him in a small cloud. Generating a large enough cloud for the spell takes time, but at the same time, the user is also generating a magical field around his body, which then attracts the acid. Once the acid and field bond, it creates a liquid barrier around the users entire body, hovering just about an inch from the skin.
Strengths: -can be used to enhance melee combat to deadly levels
-Extremely useful against metal magics and barriers (including weak armor and weak weapons. If armor or weapon is strong then 50% weakened. If Legendary weapon or armor then 25% weakened.)
-Makes melee attacks extremely unwise, a good way to beat off close ranged warriors
-Duration: 3 posts
Weaknesses: -Extremely weak to wave magic. Wave magic will eliminate the magical field holding the acid in place. Not the acid.
-Extremely weak to water, it will wash the acid off
-Does not destroy all stuff instantly. Anything other than metal will still get through and hit, and glass is immune
-susceptible to energy attacks, like lightning or light
-Artifacts are immune to this.
- Cooldown: 4 posts
----------------
Name: Rust Bomb
Rank: C
Type: Rust/Offensive
Description: The user creates a small ball of powdery rust in his hand, about the size of a softball, and throws it. When it hits, it explodes, sending out a cloud of powdered rust, about thirty feet in diameter. This rust dust clings to any metal in the area and begins eating away at it at extreme acceleration (will destroy weak weapons in two turns, with one extra turn per rank for higher ranked METAL armor and weapon). This rust can also be dangerous if inhaled, causing coughing and difficulty breathing, as well as long term effects, including death if not treated.
Strengths:
-Rust in lungs can stun or slow down an opponent, interrupting spells or dropping defenses.
-Will cause D-rank damage over time if breathed in by his opponents and not be removed unless treated.
-Extremely useful against metal magics and barriers (including weak armor and weak weapons. If armor or weapon is strong then 50% weakened. If Legendary weapon or armor then 25% weakened.)
-3 post duration
Weaknesses: -Causes no direct damage to organic targets, it's Damage over time and thus target can still push through.
-Can hit allies with said spell, causing the same negative effects to them.
-Wind will blow it away and cause it to disperse and become harmless.
-Water will wash off corrosion stuck to metal or weapons.
-Does not affect glass.
-Artifacts are immune.
-Cooldown: 4 post.
