    Job Descroption:

While letting out a big sigh August was looking at a piece of paper, while walking through the busy streets of Clover Town. A town that was fairly different then other townships in the country, maybe even the continent. The entire town had some ancient greek vibe yet it was mixed with nowadays inventions and infrastructure. But it was all merged together into the typical greek architecture that Clover Town was known for. But not only it's ancient build make this city notable, it's location was something special as well. Sitting on an island at the middle of a giant lake it was only accessible by the ferry ships, that crossed the waters during the day. All this was because of the influence of one of the strongest guilds in Fiore. Blue Pegasus. A guild that was as famous as Fairy Tail, yet there was huge difference between them. Blue Pegasus was by far more flashy while Fairy Tail was, well flashy in their own kind of way.

August looked once again at the small piece of paper in his hands, reading the guild master's scribbling. Which was just a name of some tavern along with a smiley next to it.
'The Severed Hydra… how hard can it be to find a place with such a name. Maybe this is just one of her practical jokes again...'

But then when August thought all hope was lost he saw a banner hanging in the streets. Just a few inches above the peoples head. With on it some weird image of what supposed to be a hydra. Luckily they had the name spelled out above it.
Releasing a hugh sigh of relief, August quickly left the busy streets of Clover Town. Only slip into what seems to be a rather small tavern. Along one side there was a bar carved out of stone, that as almost as long as the tavern it self with only a meter in front of it left, for the patrons to stand. At the end of it there was some extra space where the owners had put some small tables and chair. But besides that there was nothing else to sit on, not even some stools alongside the bar itself.
Luckily for August it was still the middle of the day, so besides the owner himself. There was no on else.

This was another first for Kara. She'd been around many places in Fiore in her life with Clover Town - her current location - being no exception. She'd often come here with her father for a weekend trip away from Era, as the location and the surroundings were infinitely more beautiful and tranquil than that of the massive city she had grown up in. However, this was a first for her because this would be the first mission that she'd take in Clover Town. Her other missions had all been based fairly close to her guild, or at least to easily accessible parts of Fiore. Clover Town was a little different, as it meant taking a boat to the town.

Kara's first few steps into the hometown of Blue Pegasus were filled with nostalgia. Very little had changed since she was a child, with the exception of the new guildhall of course after the old one was destroyed. After those first few steps though it was down to business. She pulled a piece of paper from her pocket and unfolded it, reading the location she was to meet her job partner for the third time. "The Severed Hydra...that sounds like a pub. Lovely...drunken men...urgh, they're not going to leave me be..." the young woman moaned as she folded the note and pushed it back into her pocket with a sigh.

[i]It won't be for long. Enter, find the partner, leave. Anyone touches me and I'll smack them with my hammer... The mental motivation was enough to urge her forwards down the street, looking up at the various signs that were protruding from the shops, cafes, bars and alleyways as she passed them. It took some time, more than Kara was comfortable spending given the fact that she'd have to finish the job early enough to catch the final boat back across the lake. Thankfully though - just as she was beginning to get frustrated - a sign protruding from the front of a building gave her what she was looking for. Although the image was somewhat poor, the name written on the sign was evidence enough that this building was the pub she'd been searching for. "Enter, find the partner, leave." she reminded herself, before entering the pub...and finding it completely empty with the exception of the landlord and another man. "...well this is easier than expected..."

Augusts thoughts got interrupted by the sudden appearance of a girl. Normally that wouldn't be so strange, there were more then enough girls that spend their youth inside the tavern. After all these places did have their own charm. Yet August strongly got the feeling from her that she wasn't your run of the mill bar type of girl.
He would suddenly stand up from his seat and walked over to the girl, in the meantime that he took a good look at the girl. Trying the figure out what kind of person she might be.

The first things he noticed was off course her long violet colored hair, that together with her pretty face made her into a serene beauty. She also seemed smart though, not the book smart kind of type. But the one who had her wits, someone who definitely knew how to handle herself.

Before August knew it he was standing right in front of her, a little bend over so that he his face was at the same height of hers. Close enough so the she could stare directly in his calm yet a bit tired looking eyes. While his mouth had curled up to a fox like smile. As if he was amused by the her presence.
The he would suddenly straighten himself up again and started leaning a bit on his staff.
'I guess you're the other mage, good. I was wondering the entire time who I was getting paired up with. Afraid a bit even! You could be some brute for all I know, and believe I got plenty of them already at the guild.'He said with played melancholic voice.

'But it seems that I am in luck being paired up with someone who seems sophisticated enough' his voice suddenly turned to it's usual playful self. 'I am August Remington from Fairy Tail by the way. It's a pleasure to make your acquaintance. Miss..?'
While he was introducing himself August had already grabbed the girls hand and shook it, as if it was the most normal thing to do. Probably invading her personal space, maybe even make her feel a bit awkward. Something he himself always found amusing.

Kara watched and analysed the man from the bar as he stepped off from his stool and approached her. He was taller than her, that much was obvious. His medium length blond hair along with his light coloured clothing gave off a cool and perhaps a little bit of a holy appearance. She assumed that the staff the mage had would be like an extension of himself and that he probably used it for most if not all of his magic. Before Kara knew it, the older mage was just inches away from her, his face right in hers. Although Kara would usually have smacked a man upside the head for this action, his calm, tired blue eyes held something that Kara herself could relate to; playfulness. He was most likely a wind up, much like she was.

He introduced himself as August Remington, a Fairy Tail mage. He was apparently worried about exactly what Kara was going to be like. "Believe me, I've seen first hand what some of your guildmates are like, so you need not explain." she replied with a soft giggle, before placing one hand on her hip. "I am Kara Matheson of Lamia Scale. A pleasure to make your acquaintance. I'm looking forward to working with you." She looked August over once more. He was quite the handsome fellow, and seemed to be quite friendly. What was it with these Fairies and being friendly to everybody? She'd never expected this when she'd first heard about the guild.

The Amethyst mage snapped back to why she was here. There was a job to do. "So...this job. Given how you've been waiting, I'm assuming you know the location of the incident we're supposed to be investigating? If so then we ought to make a move. We shouldn't keep our client waiting after all." she declared, before walking back to the door of the pub and pulling it open. She stopped briefly to look back at her teammate, seeing if he would follow her out or if he'd rather talk about the job a little more first. Either way he'd have to take the lead. She had absolutely no idea where their client's shop was. Some could say she was ill-prepared, but in all honesty she hadn't had much time to prepare for this job at all after being dragged through yet ANOTHER entry exam. She was getting tired of being dragged through other members entry exams now...

'Ah yes, you're right' replied Remington while following the girl outside. Although he didn't knew much either besides the name of the shop. But being here for some time had given him the opportunity to ask around first. It did give him some instruction on where the shop should be located. It also shed some light on the job that he was supposed to do, according to the townsfolk the shop was robbed not to long ago. And apparently stole some important antique goods.
'If I recall correctly it is not that far from here, just a couple of blocks away'

August walked passed Kara onto the busy streets of Clover Town and gestured her to follow him, leading her through the crowd. During it he started to explain what he knew of the job.
'I don't know that much but it appeared the our client was robbed, probably by some petty thief's. So all we need to do is to investigate the shop and find clues that can lead us to the perpetrators'
While he said that August could only hope that the criminals weren't with that many, not that he was afraid of them. It was only his magic wasn't really suited for combat. August quickly threw a look over his shoulder at Kara. The other mage on the job, he still didn't knew her magic yet. Was it offensive or was it just like his, a supportive and defensive kind of magic. She could even be one of those slayers, even though she didn't look or acted like on.
As he thought of that a quick flash of his own guild's dragon slayers appeared in his mind. Heero Reynolds who was drinking and causing a ruckus in the guild. And Mari the fire slayer, who may appear as an sweet innocent girl. But may be even more destructive as he electric counterpart.
'So Kara' started August, trying to start some small talk 'You're from Lamia right? So how did you end up there you don't strike me as the guild type'

So they were here to catch thieves. She'd expected it would involve a crime of some sort when the job was put to her, but thieves in a town like this? It didn't seem to fit given how pretty the town was, but it made sense. There were a lot of rich people here, as well as a lot of older people who'd moved here when they retired from their work. Many easy targets. Apparently this particular theft involved antiques, something which Kara remembered would sell rather well in places like Clover Town.

Kara's thoughts were stopped in their tracks as August spoke to her, informing her that she didn't seem like the guild type and asking her why she joined Lamia Scale. She couldn't help but chuckle. "Well I didn't really find my magic properly until about a year ago. I kind of hid from it due to certain events. Then a man helped me overcome those events. I still didn't join a guild until recently though...that was down to necessity." she began before releasing a sigh. "I used to live in Era before that nutjob attacked with that dragon. The same man from before saved me again and took me in for a short time. He helped me relearn some of my magic, and then I decided to look for jobs the same way he did. My search brought me to Hargeon where the town and its guild Lamia Scale had just been rebuilt. The people there all needed help from time to time, so I paid my way by helping them, then eventually joined Lamia Scale so I could improve my magic and help more people."

Kara realised she had dropped behind August a little and picked up her pace again to keep up. "So yeah...I'd never intended to join a guild. It just kind of...happened. How about you? You don't seem like many of the Fairy Tail mages I've met and heard about. Apparently they can be quite destructive." She giggled as she thought about her friend Kaligos, who she was certain had something to do with the damage done to the Train Station not too long ago. "So what's your story?"

When Kara mentioned his guild and it's members destructive attitude a small sweat drop appeared on the back of August's his head, when flashed of these members flashed through his mind. August never was a big fan of the mayhem their guild was known for, even if they didn't mean to do it. But it's members where that way as long as he could remember, even before he joined seven years ago there were already stories about them.

'Well, there is not much of a story really. I joined around seven years ago with a dream like any teenager would have. To become a mage that is known throughout the land. But I soon came to realize that I couldn't keep up with the others, well not in fighting capabilities that is. That is mostly because my sickness that makes me body rather weak, so the current Guild Master at that time advised me to train myself in a form of magic that only few excel at. So I did, I took up my bags and left the guild for three years to travel the world and study various kinds of supportive magic.'
