Re: Find The Ring
Kyo held the job sheet in his hands lightly before crushing it in-between his palms and shoving it into his jean pocket. Grumpy was what you could consider him at the moment as he walked into Oak Town, still trying to find the ONLY river that was near this town. "Just ask somebody for help." Midnight suggested, floating next to him. "I'm hungry, and I'm not gonna wait all day for you." she said, frowning like usual. It was all she ever seemed to do, frown.
Kyo of course, ignored Midnight and continued on. It would mean admitting defeat if he asked for help, that just wouldn't be him. "Heellooooo." Midnight called, waiting for her friend to reply as he faced forward, pushing past people rudely. "Shut up, I told you I'm gonna find this place by myself." he barked, continuing on until a sudden voice called out to him. "Hey kid! Have a little more respect and watch where your going next time!" a older man's voice called out, and Kyo's eyebrow twitched in annoyance as he peered over his shoulder. The man that was glaring down at him was much older, it was obvious with the amount of tattoo's and pierces all along his body. Turning, Kyo continued on walking ignoring the old man's insults as he finally turned around a corner, which blocked the noise off completely. "Sometimes people just need to bugger off." he sighed, crossing his hands behind his head.

Re: Find The Ring
It was luck that Kyo had left early this morning, so for about 2 hours he had spent his time roaming around Oak town, completely lost. He had stopped at multiple stores, buying small souvenirs, and food. Kyo could eat loads of food with-out gaining any weight, which is what some could consider good or yet bad. But, as he continued on, he still denied to get any help or directions. Kyo had taken all turns that were unfamiliar to him, but went in multiple circles over and over again. Finally the green eyed mage collapsed onto the ground, wanting to give up on this impossible mission. He had walked all the way back to the entrance of Oak Town, and was slowly standing up when his eyes noticed a river.
"Well, the river was here all along and you didn't even notice." Midnight scoffed, smirking as she neared the river, Kyo dragging behind her while anime-sweat dropping. It was like him to miss something like this. The river was small, in-fact the only problem was that he was going to get himself dirty finding the ring.

Re: Find The Ring
But, that wasn't a problem for Kyo. A playful smirk made it's way onto his lips as he pulled off his clothes, leaving him in his boxers. Stepping inside the cool water he began to dig through the loads of mud and rocks, fingers tracing the ground for any surface that could be similar to a ring. As 15 minutes passed by he was already half way up the river before it would've lead to the ocean, mud was smeared all over his body, but he didn't give a care as he continued on. "Disgusting." Midnight commented before Kyo glanced over at her.
A thought approached his mind, and he grinned, gather a ball of mud into his hands and eyeing Midnight. "Hey Mid, I have something for you." Kyo said, Midnight seeming to light up as Kyo stood their with his hands behind his back. "Oh, really, what is it, something use-" she was cut off as the ball of mud contacted her in the face and body.

Re: Find The Ring
As the mud slowly slid off of the black exceed, she charged at Kyo with her claws out, the two of them going out on a full mud war for the past few minutes, completely forgetting about the job. "Do you know how long it takes for me to clean out my fur, do you!" Midnight hissed, tossing multiple mud balls at Kyo as he laughed, also tossing multiple ones toward her. "No, why don't you tell me?" he asked sarcastically, as the two continued on. People were watching, preferable girls seeing as though Kyo was half naked. Midnight being distracted by the small group of girls who were watching them stopped, giving the chance for Kyo to strike once more as Midnight was hit, tumbling into the pile of mud.
Her head slowly popped out of the pile, spitting out water, as she crawled out of the river, mud still stuck to her black fur. "I admit defeat." she said, laying there. Kyo laughed, scratching the back of his head as he dropped the mud onto the ground. "Fine." he sighed, going back to finding the ring.

Re: Find The Ring
Though Midnight had said she had admitted defeat it was the least on her mind as she tried desperately to brush her knotted and muddy fur out and back to it's regular smooth self. As Kyo was turned around, facing the other direction as his hands trudged through the muddy water, Midnight was casually collecting a ball of mud in her paws, an evil smirk curled onto her cat lips. "This is what you get for messy with Midnight!" she shouted, before throwing the ball of mud, Kyo turned around confused as the mud ball hit him directly in the face. Usually something like this didn't hurt, but for some reason it really did as Kyo fell onto his arse with a thud, just on the bank of the river.
He wiped the mud from his face, rubbing his cheek bone as it was suddenly red and bruised. "What the hell did you put in that thing?" he asked, rubbing his face before something shiny flickered in the light, catching his eye.

Re: Find The Ring
Kyo slowly leaned to his side, picking through the mud ball curiously to find the source of what was shining in his eyes. Finally his fingers traced the object, picking it up as he held it out in his hand. It was the ring. "That's why it hurt, the ring was in your mud ball Mid." Kyo said, smiling as he stood on both of his feet. "Does that mean we can go home?" she asked. Going home meant going to the guild of course, the two of them barely had any money to rent a place, so they stuck with sleeping in a regular dorm in Lamia Scale. Kyo started toward Oak Town, not bothering to pick up his clothes as Midnight frowned, floating after him and tugging on his chocolate brown hair.
"Hey, aren't you going to put on some clothes?" she asked, eyes narrowed as Kyo smirked. "Nah, who needs clothes." he scoffed, walking on into Oak Town, and leaving a mud trail behind him as he went.

Re: Find The Ring
He went along the town with a smirk on his lips, receiving weird stares and laughter. Even though Midnight was fairly embarrassed, Kyo was far from that. He was just glad that he had finally finished up the job, his FIRST job. Finally after about 20 minutes or so the muddy mage and exceed had finally approached the door of their client who lived in a simple apartment building. Kyo reared his hand up, tightening it into a fist as he knocked on the door, awaiting Emy as he heard crashing and things breaking inside. "Coming!~" the voice sang as the door suddenly swung open to reveal a beautiful purple haired woman. Her hair had been tied back and she looked like she also was swimming in a pool of mud, or had come back from a mud war. Kyo let out a laugh as she looked at him confused. "What?" she asked, finally widened her eyes once she noticed the red Lamia Scale marking on his chest. "You must be from Lamia Scale! Did you find my ring?" she asked, her hands were hugging together. "Yes, that's me." he paused holding out the silver ring and dropping it into her hands. "Here you go ma'am, safe and sound." he smiled lightly, as she slipped it on, even though it was muddy. Suddenly Emy glomped Kyo, thanking him with teary eyes. "Y-your welcome." he managed to awkwardly say as she released him, and then shut the door. Kyo shook his head, pressing his palm into his fore-head before turning to walk off.
