If you manage to track John through the various dark allies, shadow jumps and shadows you'll eventually come across an apartment complex. It's either through that way or if he actually lets you know where he lives, which is very rare.
However, inside the apartment building you'll be greeted by a lot of closed doors as it seems that John is the only inhabitant in this old apartment complex. Not that he minds it but he actually prefers it after spending time in the guild hall or out on jobs with or without others. His apartment is marked with the only new looking door in the stairwell. Inside you'll see a small hallway that leads into a living room which in turn leads into a bathroom, kitchen and bedroom. There's not much inside John's apartment, what can be seen is a couple of empty bottles of whiskey a surprisingly fresh sofa and a table with some pictures on it.
One of the pictures contains a family of five, looking at it directly it would be hard to guess who the family belonged to, but if John had allowed you in into the apartment you'd be able to guess who they were. Besides the photos there was some articles from various news papers saying stuff like:
Large House burned down outside of Clovertown, no survivors., Mysterious Bandaged Man seen leaving house moments before it burns down, three victims dead.
Both of the articles was from newspapers that were located either in or around Clovertown, hinting that John once lived there should one figure it out.
