    Job Information:

Deniel laid in his room within Eclipse Soul's headquarters, staring at the ceiling blankly while on his bed. He had just recently come back from another job, and was taking a small break. Nidhogg was leaned against the bed, and his coat was neatly piled on it. In addition, Deniel wasn't wearing his gloves nor his boots; his boots were at the entrance and his gloves were on the bed next to him. Deniel wasn't necessarily tired, he was just reflecting on what happened and giving him a bit of time to recover before he headed out again. It was almost deathly silent in his room; the only things a person could hear was the footsteps of people outside. Deniel opened and closed his eyes, staring at the ceiling with a blank expression. Nidhogg couldn't really take the silence from him anymore: "Deniel, aren't you going to do something?" The blade asked him, its voice a little bit muffled from having the coat on top of it. Deniel turned over on his side to stare at his coat sealing his katana from sight. "Of course I will, who the Hell do you think I am?"

Deniel stood up from where he was and reached under his bed. From under his bed, Deniel had a pile of several job requests that he kept for himself so that he could find something to do as fast as possible. Deniel shuffled through them until he found one that caught his eye. He took the rest of them and put them at his side, holding the one that he had in his hands with both of them. "The Hunter...." He read aloud to himself, and then whispered the rest of the job description, with only a few words being understandable from his mouth. ".........Wizard.........council.....treasure.......grove.....Harper Goldenshine....." Deniel lowered the paper from his eye-level, and let it sit in his lap. He put his hand on the bed, tapping his index finger slowly several times.

"Are you going to take it, Deniel?" Deniel didn't respond to Nidhogg right away; he just kept tapping his index finger up and down, up and down mindlessly. Eventually, the usual smirk appeared on Deniel's face as he stood up and grabbed his coat off of Nidhogg. "You need to ask!?"

He threw his coat over his shoulders and put his arms right into the short sleeves, letting them slide through. Then, he took his gloves one at a time and pulled them over his hands and made sure they were on securely. Deniel then took his mighty blade, Nidhogg, and put him sheathed in his belt slot. He shook the blade a few times to make sure that it was secure. Once satisfied, he walked to the door and slid both of his boots on. Deniel looked down at himself, as if checking himself out, and then noticed something was missing. "Huuuh.....shirt, pants, boots, coat, gloves....what's missing?" He tapped his chin with his finger, and then the idea came to his head. "Oh yeah! Almost forgot!" Deniel walked over to his bed, and grabbed his two cross and anti-cross necklaces that he had taken off while he was lying down. He put them one, one at a time, and then was satisfied. After that, he took the job request forum and shoved it inside the pocket of his coat."Alright, let's go!"

Deniel kicked the door open to his room for a dramatic effect, and exited Eclipse Soul's headquarters. Once outside, he took a deep breath and stretched out his arms. "Aaaaaahhhh fresh air!" Deniel inhaled the air with another deep breath, this time it was from his nose. After he exhaled, he looked around himself and put his hands on his waist. "Well....time to get goin'." He reached inside of his pocket and pulled out the request forum once again, looking at the location. "Ancient Ruins....." He whispered to himself and thought about the location. It sounded familiar....."Hmmmm.....where did Vergil say it was, again?"

He tapped his chin while thinking about it and closed his eyes. He never really payed attention to Vergil's lectures and lessons if it didn't involve fighting, and now would have been a good time to do so. "Oh yeah! It's to the southeast of there!"

Getting out of the mountainous area that Eclipse Soul's headquarters was nearby wasn't much of a challenge, and the rest of the journey wasn't going to be either. Despite his scrawny figure, Deniel had plenty of strength and stamina stored inside that tiny body of his. Once he was in the open plains of Fiore, if Deniel looked to the north, which was his right, he could see Era towering over everything else. While he was out in the open with the breeze blowing through his hair and his face, and the ocean's scent in the distance, Deniel began to think about how he traveled all over the place. Desert Village, Spooky Forest, Oak Town, Mystic Tower, Sky Tower, and Serene Cliff. He traveled to other spots as well, but those select few were quite the distance away from each other.

He loved the land of Fiore, much more than he did Bellum. The thought of that place made him cringe with anger as he walked, gritting his teeth and clenching his fists. Segregation, racism, prison, and violence. And for what? Because he was a Nephalem. Deniel took a deep breath of the fresh air once again, draining the thoughts of anger out of his head. Back to Fiore, the land was quite beautiful and.....not that much friendlier compared to Bellum, but at least he wasn't locked up in a prison cell for no reason. He walked for several hours, and to his surprise, Nidhogg didn't say a word. The sword would usually be asking him about how he plans to do things at this point, but for some reason, it didn't.

"Nidhogg, are you feelin' okay?" "Me? I'm just peachy, Deniel. Juuuuust peachy...." The blade was obviously being sarcastic to him, but Deniel didn't have any clue what was wrong. He had just been walking and doing jobs, and Nidhogg felt fine earlier. What in the world bit him in the ass now?

Deniel smacked Nidhogg's hilt. The blade wouldn't feel anything, but at least it was a sign that he didn't like the attitude he was receiving. "Don't be like that, Nidhogg...." The blade gave off a grunting noise, "Nrgghh....look who's talking, Deniel. I think once in a while you should calm down." Deniel raised an eyebrow at Nidhogg, "Calm down? I perfectly am calm......I think....." He scratched the back of his head awkwardly as he walked. "I guess....I guess I should...." Nidhogg was right in a way. Sometimes Deniel got too carried away with violence, and pretty much killed people every time. "Whatever.....but that doesn't mean I will. I'm killing the guys on this job no matter what." It was quite a harsh statement, that left Nidhogg speechless.

Deniel was quite a ways away from Era and Eclipse Soul's Headquarters, and that's when he heard the sound of running water. A river, and the scent of the ocean was much more clear. Deniel sniffed the air several more times, and only one conclusion could be drawn: ahead of him was a river that was dumped into the ocean surrounding Fiore. "Oh well, I will probably just fly right over it." As Deniel walked further, he could make out more objects in the distance: towering mountains that looked like they were miles away. The mountains, if he recalled, were the things that the Ancient Ruins were pretty much hiding behind.

Deniel kept walking, not stopping for a single moment to rest. He wasn't tired nor did he feel fatigue. He had to admit, he had gotten a lot stronger ever since becoming a D rank mage. B wasn't so bad, but he still wanted to keep shooting up as much as possible. "Power....." he whispered to himself, "I want-no I need-more power."

"Again with that talk, Deniel?" Deniel smacked Nidhogg's hilt again, "You said it yourself, Nidhogg. I need more power." Nidhogg was silent for a few moments, ".......You got me there." Deniel smirked, showing off his teeth. "Plus, if I'm stronger, then that means I can do more dangerous things. More danger means more a bigger challenge. A bigger challenge means more thrill. More thrill means......more awesome!" Deniel couldn't find a way to describe it, and the sound of him getting much more thrill than what he was doing now was exhilarating. He raised his arms up in triumph, as if he gained victory. "Kick-ass!"

The more he walked, the more clear the sound of the river became. The sound of rocks eroding away, running water, and even several splashes. When it seemed like it couldn't get any louder, it did. Deniel got a little annoyed after a bit. Not angered....just a tad bit annoyed. "Jeez, how far away is this river?" His question wasn't going to be answered until another hour or so, when he looked ahead of himself and he could finally see the river. He narrowed his red eyes, and could see the water running down the small path that it was destined to follow forever, and eventually dump into the largest body of water. "There it is!" With excitement came a burst of energy and with a burst of energy came running. Deniel ran, pumping his arms and propelling himself off the ground faster than walking.

The closer he came to the river, the more he could hear the sound of the water and smell the fresh scent of the ocean nearby. He looked to his right, and not to his surprise, in the distance was the large body of water that surrounded this side of Fiore. Deniel couldn't help but stop running and face the direction, looking at the beautiful scene. "Huuuh.....quite the beautiful land, too."

He looked at the scene for a few more seconds before turning his head to the left and continuing on with his journey. His energy was still there, so he still ran towards the running river that was now in clear view. Once he was close to the edge, he stopped and stared down at the crystal-clear pure water that ran deep through it's one-way passage, eroding the terrain and rocks around it. Deniel got down on one of his knees and scooped up a handful of the pure water. It was not only pure, but it was very cold, almost at the perfect temperature it seemed. Pollution was the least of this land's problems, in fact, it didn't seem like it was a problem at all. Deniel splashed the water in his face to both wake himself up a bit and to recover some of his energy lost from running.

He looked across the body of water; it was far too deep for him to go across, and if he were to even try to swim, he would be carried away before he even got halfway across. Flying really was his only solution. "Boy am I glad to be a Nephalem." He was about to use his Nephalem Wings, until Nidhogg interrupted. "Wait a second, Deniel!" Deniel grunted and looked down at Nidhogg. "What is it, Nidhogg?" He asked him, sounding a little bored and irritated. Nidhogg ignored his attitude, "There's an alternative. You can jump across the river." Deniel didn't say anything at first. Then, after a few moments, he burst out laughing.

"BAHAHAH! HAHAHA! HAHAHAAHHHHHHHHHAHAHAAHAHAHAAHAH!" Deniel fell to the ground on his back, and flipped over several times. Then, he pounded his fist on the floor several times. He stood up and sniffed his nose several times, still chuckling. "Nidhogg.....do you honestly think I can jump that far?"

Deniel ignored Deniel's reaction, although it offended him a bit. "Ahem! If you'll allow me to explain, you can. Think about it, Deniel. You have wings, torsos, arms, crowns, what are you missing?" Deniel thought about his question for a few seconds. He put his hand under his chin and tapped it......once the answer came to him, Deniel looked down at his legs. Of course, it made sense. If he were to jump over it, he would need the legs to do it. "Okay......and how do you suggest I do that?" If Nidhogg had shoulders, he would shrug, "I don't know. How do you usually do your Take Overs?" Deniel couldn't necessarily find words to explain it. It was like trying to explain how he moved his limbs. His Take Over seemed to flow naturally in him, and any time he wanted to use one....it just happened.

Deniel decided to give this new idea a try. He closed his eyes and focused his Magic Energy down into his legs. While his eyes were closed, two sky-blue magic circles with a crosses engraved in the centers of them appeared at his legs, and slowly moved down to the bottom of his feet. Whatever passed through them were his first time used Legs of the White Angel. Deniel opened his eyes to see a brand new sight of his White Angel Take Over.

From his waist down to his knees was a white fur-like material, looking like it was combed inward. From his knees all the way down to his feet was a purple carapace-like material with molten blue cracks embedded within them. He had only three toes; two in the front and one in the back. Each toe had a golden layered carapace, and this same material was found on spikes in his knees. "Wooooahhhh....amazing."

Deniel moved his newly formed legs, and even tapped them in the ground a bit. "How do you reckon this will get me across, though?" Nidhogg made a sighing noise in response, irritated and annoyed by Deniel's obtuse attitude. "Just jump and jump again." Deniel was beyond confused now. Jump again? What in the world did Nidhogg mean by that? Nonetheless, he always knew what he was talking about, so he was going to trust his blade. Taking a deep breath, Deniel took several paces back away from the river. Then, he ran straight for the bank, and leaped right over. He didn't even make it halfway across the water until he began to fall, but he used Nidhogg's words. Instinctively, Deniel pressed both of his feet down as if he were jumping again.

Much to his surprise, a sky-blue platform that looked exactly like the magic circles that always appeared for him in this form materialized in an instant right below his feet, and gave him a flat surface to propel himself off of. Once Deniel jumped again, this jump gave him an even greater distance than the other one. In moments, Deniel found himself across the bank of the river, on the other side. Deniel was speechless, and stared down at his legs again. ".......WOO-HOOO-HOO-HOOOOOO!" Excited with this new found power, Deniel ran across the open plains towards his destination, but began to jump even more at the same time. Every few seconds, he would jump, and then jump again. Jump, jump again. It was like a child finding a new toy; he loved it. He wasn't using his new Air Hike spell, because he knew it would drain his magic power, he was just jumping and landing and then jumping again.

"YEEAAAAH!" He yelled out every time he jumped and gave a second jump, soaring through the air like an eagle. Flying was cool, but jumping twice was beyond useful. Immediately he was able to think of a million ways to combine this with his other spells. Not literally a million, but plenty of ways to create some combos that he was willing to try out this job.

Deniel was having so much fun doing this, that he accidentally found out a new part of it. While he was jumping once, he kicked his feet to the side instead, and he found himself being propelled to the left, the opposite direction he kicked his feet in. When Deniel landed on the ground, he looked down at his legs again, confused. "What the hell was that?" He stomped his foot on the ground a few times, wondering if it was a malfunction. Deniel decided to give it another try. He jumped another time and kicked his feet behind him. Once again, a platform appeared there and launched him forward. When Deniel landed, he tried the sequence one last time. Jump, kick backwards, propel forward. It worked another time.

"Wooooah.....that's awesome. Hmmmm." Deniel jumped another time, but this time when he kicked back, he did it with all of his strength. He found himself being pushed forward a much greater distance than before, about twenty feet. When Deniel landed, he was even happier with this before. Jumping so much had exhausted him, though, so he decided it wasn't a good idea to continue this. He looked back and saw that the river was now in the distance, and was surprise that he had come so far just by jumping over and over again. He could still hear the water and smell it in the air, but it was much more faint.

Deniel turned back around and continued on his journey through the grassy fields. He looked a bit to his left, seeing the mountains in the distance becoming much more clear and closer the more he went towards the hidden ruins. They were massive in size, and he was glad that he wasn't going to have to cross them.

Deniel no longer ran or jumped, and instead walked so that some of his physical energy could be recovered. In addition to his physical energy, he didn't want his magic energy being used up. "Nidhogg! That was awesome! How did you know I could do that!?" Deniel was unintentionally breaking the barrier and attitude wall between blade and wielder that was occurring before, with both of them making sarcastic and rude remarks to each other. "Because I know you a lot more than you know yourself, Deniel. And without my guidance, I don't think you'd be here right now." Nidhogg was absolutely right; if it weren't for him telling him what to do sometimes and introducing him to his new powers, he wouldn't have figured them out by himself. Either that, or it would have taken Deniel a long time to get there.

Deniel was beginning the close the distance between him and the mountains, and the giant shadowed figures began to gain color and much more life-like looks. They were rugged, with even tiny bits of snow piled on top of them. They were quite steep, looking almost impassable from the sides, and the most a person could do was cling on to dear life.....or find some kind of pathway. Nature did not want people climbing these mountains. Even as Deniel got closer, they still seemed far away and were getting larger and much more massive. By this time of the day, about an hour or two had passed by since Deniel first left. He wasn't feeling that exhausted, now that he recovered from jumping so much, and he could still keep going for miles.

Despite how impressive the mountains had looked, Deniel wasn't after them. What he was going to do was walk right by them straight past the grassy fields that surrounded them and into the Ancient Ruins, where few people dared to tread. And when he got there, he was going to kick a whole lot of ass. "This might be as big of a challenge as defeating Ver-......Nevermind." It was a bad event in his life, and the last thing he wanted to do was joke about it. Unintentionally killing his master without having control over it was something that he could never get over. Yet he was still going after this power.

The Hunter (Deniel) Empty Re: The Hunter (Deniel)

Post by Decayuss 2nd June 2014, 9:30 pm

Since he had finally seen the colors and shape of the steep, jagged brown mountains, it wasn't any of his concern anymore. He looked straight ahead of himself, at the seemingly endless grassy field with a shadow of a mountain towering over it from the time of day. The sun usually rose in the east and set in the west, so it began to rise more towards the west, making the mountains cast a shadow over the grassy plains that Deniel walked. He was now closing in on the mountains, and not even realizing it. All he saw in front of him was the grassy friends, and occasionally he looked down to see his own feet taking one step in front of the other. He never looked to his left to see the mountains that he was passing by.

The next time he looked down at his legs, Deniel noticed that his Legs of the White Angel was one; his connection to it had faded away. "Eh. It was fun while it lasted." He shrugged it off, knowing that he would be able to use it again soon anyway. Nidhogg backed up his calm attitude by reassuring him further, "Your Black Devil form also has one too. It's the exact same thing, just as the Black Devil." Deniel stopped in his tracks and blinked several times. He looked down at Nidhogg, and then down at his legs. He lifted one of them up and started to check them out, "Really!?", he asked him, both excited and confused. For once, his Take Overs had something that was identical instead of different.

"Awesome! I'll check it out later." He planted both of his feet back on the ground once again and started walking aimlessly on the open fields past the mountains once again. In just a short while, if Deniel squinted he might be able to make out his destination. The Ancient Ruins.

The Hunter (Deniel) Empty Re: The Hunter (Deniel)

Post by Decayuss 2nd June 2014, 9:54 pm

Deniel wasn't paying attention to whether or not he could faintly see his destination, so squinting was the last thing that he did. It was for this reason that it took him a much longer time to finally see the Ancient Ruins, as he first started seeing it when the shadows of it were actually visible. Even from here, Deniel could tell that "ruins" was a good way to describe the place. Deniel could see buildings being crashed down, debris all over the place, and everything that was still left standing looked very old and eroded. He couldn't see much else left, except the basic layout of the ruins. It looked like one giant temple in the back, with several floors heading back and gaining height, almost like a pyramid.

Surrounding the massive temple in the back looked like buildings connected to it, with several floors themselves, and they surrounded a small village in the center. The village was small, but the structures around it were massive in scale, and were probably the size of an entire town. Navigating outside of them wouldn't be too much of a problem, but he couldn't imagine what it would be like for the insides. Deniel couldn't imagine what kind of people would be able to build this place and still have it standing today. "And who could even find a way to navigate through it? Those ancient people must have been geniuses." Deniel sounded amazed and astonished by it all.

Although, "geniuses" wasn't necessarily a word for it. Deniel was just so dim-witted, he thought everything outside of fighting took too much thought. Nidhogg even began to worry about this. He could barely remember the alphabet, much less navigate through a giant maze that's taken a legendary treasure hunter several days to go through. "Oh dear......" he faintly said, but was also glad Deniel didn't hear him. This was most likely going to be a rough journey.

Post by Decayuss 5th June 2014, 6:26 pm

The closer Deniel got, the more he could make out the appearance of the Ancient Ruins. From what he saw, the stone looked very eroded, chipped away, and withered. It had moss and grass growing all over it, and the place literally was in ruins with debris flooding the land below it; it seemed the only thing that was in-tact was the giant temple. Even the entrance was destroyed, for it used to be a giant arch, but now most of it had fallen down and blocked the entrance. To Deniel, though, it was just going to be an easy climb. He squinted and estimated the time and distance it was going to take him to get there.

With a rough estimate, he thought it might be perhaps half an hour or so until he finally reached the temple. This is how it was with all of his jobs, though....he had to travel around a lot and do so much walking. It took both strength, stamina, and a lot of patience. Nidhogg was always surprised that he was able to pull of the last requirement, because Deniel could barely wait for a strawberry sundae, much less several hours to go to a destination. Both of them were relatively silent throughout the entire journey, even Deniel. No thoughts of doubt, reason, logic, philosophy, or morals of his ways were creeping into his head. All he was thinking about was the day that he was able to become an A rank. He knew that day was creeping up on him, for he had done so much and learned so much within in B rank jobs.

The only thing he was missing was making friends and interacting, but that was the least of his concerns. In about half an hour, just like he had predicted, Deniel finally reached the entrance to the Ancient Ruins.

The entrance was a lot taller than it looked from a distance, which made sense. It towered right over Deniel, with the rubble standing well over twenty feet above him, and he was a man above average height. Taller or not, he wasn't going to be stopped so easily. Deniel looked for a small hole between the rubble to latch both of his hands on to. Once he found it, he pulled himself up and found another. The toughest part was the start, but after pulling up his weight twice, then he was able to do it easier and find much more holes in the rubble. He went up, and up, and up, and up until finally he reached the top. Without even looking down, Deniel jumped straight to the ground. A normal person wouldn't be able to tolerate it, but Deniel was much stronger, faster, and durable than a normal person.

When he dropped and hit the ground, he wasn't even fazed. What surprised him was a surprise attack that followed. Deniel looked to his right, left, and knew that behind him someone was there. They were dressed in adventure and traveling gear, with backpacks stuffed full, hiking boots, shorts, and vests that were coated with different types of gear. Each one carried a different type of sword, one was a plain broadsword, another was a scimitar, and the final one was a katana just like Deniel.

These guys weren't a problem, although they surrounded him. Deniel was crouched down, and before the three could attack him, he made a sudden movement, going between the one with the scimitar and the katana. He was behind both of them, and smacked the one with the scimitar on the back of his neck with Nidhogg's hilt. This one was hit hard in a pressure point, and feel to the ground. Not lifeless....just temporarily knocked out. The other one reacted quickly, swinging his katana at Deniel. The one with the broadsword swung at him shortly afterwards. All Deniel did was hold Nidhogg up horizontally to block both of the swords....but his sword was still sheathed....

Deniel was using only one hand on Nidhogg to block their attacks, and it was his non-dominant left hand. He grabbed Nidhogg's hilt and drew the blade. "Begone!" He slashed the stomachs of both attackers. The block, draw, and slash were all done in a mere second or two, which is why they didn't have a whole lot of time to react. One slash wasn't enough for Deniel, though, so once he finished cutting them, he turned the blade around and went in for another swipe. Both of them fell to the ground right beside their partner. Not dead....just knocked out. That was about to change for all three of them. One was on his stomach while the other two were on their backs. Regardless of the position, Deniel impaled Nidhogg within the bodies of each of them, aiming straight for the heart.

They didn't respond in cries, shouts, or anything. Not that they could anyway....every blow to the heart always killed. Especially the weak. These guys were a perfect example of weak. Once they were dead, Deniel finally turned to look inside the ruins. There was grass everywhere, on the floor and on the buildings. Every building was in ruins, crumbled down to either tiny pieces, or huge chunks of what it used to be. From a distance, this is what he saw, and even up close it was the same thing. Once again, the only thing that remained standing was the gigantic temple that was behind the huge pile of rubble, and had walls that eventually surrounded it. Through the walls, Deniel didn't see an entrance, even the openings for light and air.

They were much too high, and the structure was so well-built, that not even he could be able to climb up. He could fly in, but then that might get him lost....going into a random area. He was going to have to start in the beginning of the temple: the entrance.

Post by Decayuss 6th June 2014, 8:10 pm

He took one last glance at the corpses of his first three victims in this job. They were as dead as dead can be, a sight that Deniel was almost too used to. He looked back ahead of himself and started walking once again. While he was going through the ruins, he took time to see just how much of the ruins was left. There wasn't a whole lot: the structures had their original shape and outline, but the walls didn't go too high until they were cut off by missing pieces. The pieces were either all around them, or completely gone. The walls that were severed from their original building also had moss and other plants growing on them. The amount of buildings and rubble around him was in large number, and Deniel was starting to wonder what exactly happened here.

How could a civilization that inhabited this vanish so quickly, and why did they? Or....a darker thought is WHAT could have gotten them. Maybe someone, something, or anything else wiped them out and left them without a trace. But for something to do that, it would need to be powerful, indomitable, and almost indestructible. Something like that might have been possible. Or it might have even been a disease.....but something that strong didn't seem likely.

His thoughts were interrupted once he reached the entrance to the temple. It was a massive staircase, leading up to a giant arched entrance that was well over twenty feet tall. Deniel took one step on the stairs, and then stopped. He looked behind himself to see someone pointing a gun at him, and firing without hesitation. Deniel had no time to dodge the bullet, and it hit him right in his shoulder blade. He grasped on to his shoulder, grunting in pain as he had almost never been shot by a gun before. There were five men in total, and they were all holding at least two guns, with what looked like cannons on their backs, ready for heavy weaponry use. When the bullet hit Deniel, all of them let out chuckles and laughter when he grasped his shoulder.

"What's the matta'!?" Deniel heard one of them call out while the rest were laughing. Deniel had dropped to one knee while he was grasping on to his shoulder. The pain of a gunshot was unlike anything he had witnessed before. "Ya' can't take tha' pain!?" The one that shouted out earlier was mocking him, and the laughter in the group only rose up. While he was on his knee and grasping his shoulder, Deniel whispered: "Wings of the White Angel....." In almost an instant, two glowing sky-blue magic circles with crosses engraved in the center appeared at his back and created his wings. Once that instant was over, Deniel took flight right away.

That's when the guys that were laughing noticed he made a move, for he had flown straight past the one in the center, but jabbed his fist straight into the stomach of him. Once his attack had hit, Deniel stopped himself in mid air and forced the man to fly backwards and land flat on his back. "HEY! YOU-" One of them was about to protest, but Deniel flew right behind him and put both of his hands behind his back, locking them in place. He did this with both hands, because although El'Druin was in his right hand, he could still use it. The guy behind that one didn't take too kindly to this, as he pointed his gun at Deniel.

Before he shot it, Deniel turned himself and the guy he was holding around, flinging him into the one that pointed his gun at him. There was still two others left, and they were behind Deniel. They had pulled out their guns, but Deniel was much too fast for them with both his wings and El'Druin giving him speed. He looked like he vanished from his current position, when in reality, he just flew above and readied two arrows. He fired both of them at the last two targets that were standing. The one he punched earlier began to get up and recover.

The arrows hit his targets right in the shoulder, where Deniel himself was shot earlier. The one he punched and the other two that were hit together finally got up, and they all pulled out their guns. "You bastard!" One of them yelled, and they all fired at Deniel. Deniel flew out of the way, and drew three arrows and fired all of them. Deniel wasn't the only one who was quick on his feet, because the five Treasure Hunters were able to dodge his arrows with little to no effort, and fired their guns once again. From there on out, it was nothing but a fight between arrows and guns, with neither side hitting each other once. Deniel would fire at least four arrows, but they would all dodge it and shoot him back, which resulted in him dodging it as well.

He flew atop the temple and fired an arrow at one of them, and the other four that weren't shot at pulled the triggers on their guns. Deniel jumped from his current position and took flight once again, dodging each of the shots. They were all over the Ancient Ruins when it came to their fight, and ever since Deniel was shot and landed blows on all of them, there wasn't much going on with the fight besides a bunch of dodging. Sometimes Deniel would fire a group of seven whole arrows, and the group of Treasure Hunters would merely disperse to dodge it. Deniel knew that in order to end this pointless and never-ending draw, he would have to make some kind of bold or different move. His options were limited, and one of the only solutions seemed to be to use his Charged Arrows.

Or he could even try a surprise attack. The Charged Arrow would take up a lot of Magic Power compared to the surprise attack strategy, so that's the one that Deniel was going to go for. While he was flying and jumping from building to building, he whispered to himself: "Eyes of the White Angel." To the ignorance of the Treasure Hunters, two sky-blue magic circles with crosses engraved in the centers of them appeared at Deniel's irises, and changed the eye color to sky-blue. The Treasure Hunters were far too busy shooting him to pay attention.

The Treasure Hunters weren't getting tired, and nor was Deniel. Little did they know that he was baiting them into something; he made sure that every time he went from a building to another building, it went closer to them. Once Deniel knew he was within range, he made his surprise attack move. He drew five arrows, one for each of them. Although they were clever, they were stupid to gather up together. That was the weakness Deniel was about to exploit. He aimed the volley of five arrows at the Treasure Hunters, and they each raised their guns. They were ready to dodge the second they saw him let go of his string, and fire at him. They thought they had him in a trap, because he couldn't make a sudden movement with the way he was going. Then, right before their very eyes, Deniel vanished.

They were confused, and they only had about half a second to figure out what was going on. That half a second, of course, wasn't nearly enough. Deniel was behind all of them, crouched down on one knee with El'Druin loaded with fire arrows. "Scum!" Deniel shouted before he let go of the arrows. Each arrow pierced through the chest of one Treasure Hunter. It hurt like Hell to all of them, but one had the strength to pull his cannon out from on his back earlier than the rest. He turned around and aimed the cannon to where Deniel would be standing. "YOU SON OF A-Huhhh?" Deniel was no where to be found, and the other four Treasure Hunters turned around with him right afterwards.

They were all wondering where he went. In reality, Deniel used his Angel Blink a second time to teleport behind them. While he was behind them, he drew back another five arrows. In addition, he charged these arrows with a bit of his Magic Power, so that their speed will be doubled. Doubled the speed, double the power. "Die." Deniel let go of all of the arrows. Traveling at a whopping 182 meters per second, the arrows pierced through the chests of each Treasure Hunter one more time; ending the lives of each and every one of them. All of the treasure they hunted, all of the good times they had, everything had come to an end by one man. One Nephalem.

Once each arrow pierced through their hearts, every single one of them fell to the ground. Some went forward, some went backward. Deniel looked down at the corpses of each one of them. He didn't regret or remorse. He just let out a small sigh and closed his eyes. Suddenly, an urge to do something came into himself. He traced a cross on his body, starting at his head and going down to his waist while bowing his head, then going from shoulder to shoulder, and ending with giving his hand a small kiss. Once he finished the action, Deniel shook his head quickly and smacked himself in the face. "What did I just-" Deniel's surprise was interrupted by a canon shot at his feet. The shot exploded, blasting Deniel away from its location and giving him a world hurt in the process.

Deniel landed on the ground after flying from his location, and rolled several feet as well. The entire right side of his body was covered in a huge burn, and Deniel felt another surge of pain. He looked to where the shot came from, seeing five more treasure hunters. One of them had a cannon smoking, and it was aimed straight at Deniel's original position. Deniel was on his stomach, and he placed both of his hands on the ground, pushing up his upper body and looking at the five Treasure Hunters. That was the firepower they possessed. Deniel's anger shot up like a firework, although having the wings and eyes of an angel didn't suit it.

Thoughts crept into Deniel's head, thoughts about dealing justice to these people. Thoughts about showing them not to do such things to Deniel. Thoughts to show them not to smirk at him or even laugh. Thoughts to tear them all apart! Thoughts about killing them! Blood came out of Deniel's mouth as he slowly tried to get up. Another surge of pain went into him, as he was shot right into his lung, and his respiratory system was temporarily interrupted. With a huge breath intake, Deniel dropped to the ground once again, and heard the laughter of the five Treasure Hunters once again. "Sinners...."

The word "sinners" was quite a strong one, and Deniel used it so casually. Although he was a sinner himself, he didn't really feel like one. With the power of an angel flowing through him, he felt like a bringer of justice, someone that should be destroying these sinners. He placed his palms on the ground once again, and started to rise. Once again, he felt the pain of a bullet pierce straight through him, but his rage was so powerful, he didn't feel a thing. He clenched his fist around El'Druin, but even though he was now standing, their laughter didn't stop. Another one pulled their own cannon down from his shoulder, and aimed it at Deniel. "TAKE THIS!" Deniel whispered two words to himself: "Angel Trigger." In an instant, a huge burst of strength surged into Deniel, as a mysterious glowing sky-blue aura surrounded his body. The Treasure Hunter hesitated on the action, and the rest of them stopped laughing.

Deniel's speed was now doubled than what it was without his Take Over, increasing his top flying speed to 200 miles per hour. It would take a while to reach that speed, but Deniel had plenty of time. And once he reached it, he wouldn't show any mercy. Although stunned, the Treasure Hunter continued his action, and fired the cannon at Deniel. In response, Deniel sprang from his legs into the air, taking flight and spiraling. The further he flew, the faster he got. He was going at about sixty miles per hour until he started to circle around the Ancient Ruins. He fired a barrage of arrows at the Treasure Hunters, and each of them dispersed from their current position.

They weren't as dumb as the last group of Treasure Hunters, since they didn't stay together and make it easier for Deniel. His flying speed might have to take a while to build up, but that didn't mean his shooting speed would be. Deniel seemed to be firing at least five arrows each second, which kept the Treasure Hunters on their toes. Every time they jumped from another spot, they only had to jump again. Every one of them tried to fire at Deniel, but his circling was too fast, and they couldn't keep up. Making matters worse, they still had to dodge his arrows, and that made it impossible for them to counter attack. Deniel's speed was quickly meeting its max, and he was able to land at least two arrows on each of them. Shortly after that, he was able to do it again. His Trigger was once again built"Damn it," one of them yelled out, "He's too fast!"

Suddenly, while Deniel was firing arrows, he stopped dead in his tracks as his Wings of the White Angel were taken away from him. Immediately, his stomach dropped to his feet and his heart was racing. The pain of the bullet earlier finally kicked in, and his rage was gone. His eyes widened in horror, and he was either going to die from the fall, or they were going to finish him off. Deniel didn't know what to do, so he tried with all of his might to muster out his wings once again, forgetting the fact that he had his Nephalem Wings. "Angel Trigger!" Deniel was most likely going to think of it as a miracle, but it was merely because he had enough power in his Triggers to be able to activate it once again. The two magic circles appeared at Deniel's back once again, and created his wings to break his fall.

Deniel used them right away to break his fall just before he hit the ground. His foes did not stay silent about this, and took their only chance to strike at him. They fired their guns at him, and two of them even shot their cannons at his location. To guarantee his escape, Deniel used his Angel Blink to teleport himself straight up fifteen meters instantly. The distance was just enough to close the gap between him and the explosion, but the force of the wind still knocked him away. Deniel used this force, however, to start out his flight, circling around the Ancient Ruins once again. "Damn it! He's doing it again!" Deniel drew his arrows one after another, and started firing.

Most were hoping to outlast him a second time, but two of them accepted their fate and stood still with their arms open. Deniel granted them their wish and ended them once and for all, firing two arrows into each of their chests and killing both of them off. The others didn't let up so easily, and started to fire in random spots in hopes that Deniel would run into them. With his speed gaining, it wasn't likely that Deniel was going to be hit to easily. He got off another shot on the three that were remaining, and that meant that each of them were just one hit away from death from what Deniel speculated from his previous encounters with them.

Deniel had eventually landed an arrow in each of their chests, finishing the last two off and being done with them. He stopped his flight, which ended instantly at his will from his full control of flight. Once he stopped circling around the Ancient Ruins, he landed at the base of the steps where this had all started. By this time, his rage and panic was no more, his heartbeat had stopped, and he finally started to relax. He took in a deep breath to calm himself down once more and looked at the entrance to the temple from the top of the giant staircase. He turned his gaze towards the Ancient Ruins, and then back up the staircase. "Let's go." He spun El'Druin in his hand, and began to ascend the stairs.

With that amount of stairs, he was expecting to perhaps run into some kind of problem or difficulty. Fortunately for him, the whole trip was just a giant breeze of putting one foot in front of the other. Once he reached the top of the stairs, he looked at the entrance to the giant temple, staring up at the huge arch that covered the entrance. It looked much bigger than it did when he was at the base of the steps. He looked back at the Ancient Ruins, and he was able to see the whole thing from atop the steps. He was questioning the real reason of this temple from this. "Huhhh.....what if it's a palace?" It was a good question, and it would make sense as to why a treasure would be buried here. It was natural for a king to have riches.

Deniel turned his head the other way: staring from the Ancient Ruins straight into the temple. It was dark, and wasn't lit up at all. The only source of light was from the arched opening. Deniel hesitantly took a few steps inside, until he started to walk all the way in. However, the second that he was away from the arch, it suddenly sealed itself shut. Deniel turned around, and was in full alarm. His glowing red eyes did shed some light on the place, but an ancient door closing on itself the second he walked in was beyond suspicious. He looked around the large hallway he was in, with his heart racing in his chest. Then, without warning, the entire place was lit up with torches on the wall. All of them ignited so suddenly, and he didn't even notice them before. The torches shed light upon the place, and it let him see that he had more company: there, standing in front of him, were ten more foes.

"Tch." That's all Deniel could say at this quite....unfortunate moment. This hallway wasn't as big as outside was, so that meant that there wasn't room for a lot of mobility and tricks by him. Second off, there were ten of them, and they weren't playing around. They all had their cannons out, and their guns were sheathed at their sides. Deniel could tell that his Eyes of the White Angel had timed out, so blinking wasn't going to be an option. If he was going to defeat these guys, he needed to be at his prime, at the core of all of his strength. "Nephalem Soul: Devil." Deniel widened his red eyes and rose El'Druin up to the ceiling with his right hand. In mere moments, the Black Devil appeared on his shoulders, perched high and mighty with all of his unholy glory.

The glowing red spirit held his hand up, too, holding Nidhogg just like Deniel was. It was no longer El'Druin, it was his black blade: Nidhogg. "Get em'." Deniel heard one of the treasure hunters say. Only one of them raised his cannon up to fire, but before he could, Deniel fired a little thing of his own. "SHOUTOFTHEDEVIL!" Deniel said so fast and so loud, it was barely understandable. From out of his open mouth came a huge burst of Twilight Energy; he mimicked his Shout of the Devil spell using his Twilight Mimic. Since they were in a confined area, it worked for Deniel as well that they wouldn't be able to dodge such a devastating spell.

The Shout of the Devil hit all of them, mainly because it took up the entire hallway area. They had no where to hide or run, and the amount of force in it stopped the one who was using the cannon from firing at Deniel. This gave him a few seconds to think as to what his next move should be. How was he going to beat all of these guys without getting hit a single time? It was a tough decision to make, and a very hard situation to solve. His Shout of the Devil only stalled him some time. However.....an idea started to sneak into his mind, one that would guarantee his victory.
