Its time....to DUEL! (Akryn vs Sumdumguy)

Akryn bounced on his toes in his corner of the small arena set aside for todays match. He was glad that the arena was kept open all the time, it was a great place to settle grudges, test new spells, or just let off steam. And he was here to do two of those things, test his new weapon, and let loose his anxiety over the failures of his latest searches.

He was a modestly built guy, lean and muscular, and short by his brothers standards, only about five ten, 150ish pounds. But he was a scrapper, and had been taught by his four older brothers from a young age how to fight. On top of that, his practice lately was paying off well, and he was excited to see who his challenger was.

"Hmm..." Priscilla muttered to herself as she entered the arena to see who she was fighting against. Her footsteps were the only thing she paid attention to as she entered the grounds upon which she would fight to see her opponent. Modestly built, not bad looking...

"Huh. I hope this will be interesting." she said as she shoved her hands in her pockets. She had walked in and stood at least five meters away, not that far but it was a good enough distance to start from. She was relatively close range at the moment, since she was too weak to even summon the creature her magic was centered around. But that's why she was here. To get stronger so she could fight to her full potential. She didn't say much as she stared at the man who was supposedly her opponent, waiting for him to say something so she could observe him.

Akryn didn't say anything. He gave her a once over, smiling to himself. Not bad lookin. A shame they had to fight, he thought to himself, before the announcer would take over, a short, portly being dressed up as a......rabbit.

"Good evening ladies and gentlemen!!! For todays D rank show, we have members from two different guilds! Representing the pride of Eclipse Soul, in this corner, AKRYN!!" he announced, pausing a moment for a smattering of applause. "And in this corner! From the mighty Sabertooth, can she make a mark? PRISCILLA!!" he shouted, allowing for another small smattering of applause. "Now, the rules are simple. One goes down, fights over, it ends there. Keep it fair people! Ready? GO!" he shouted before hopping back out of the way.

Akryn smiled as he dropped down into a fighters stance, slowly circling to the left, keeping an eye on her. Sabertooth eh? Not a bad guild. This promised to be a good fight.

Priscilla smirked and stood still, watching and observing his every move. She wanted to wait until he made a move before she made hers, so she just watched him move around her and made sure to track his movements. "Huh..." she mumbled as she pulled her hands out of her pocket just a little to prepare for his eventual attack. She had enough patience to wait for a long time, so she would force him to make the first move. Priscilla just made sure he didn't try anything funny while she waited.

"I can wait aaallll day." she called out to him as she stood there casually, not doing anything at all. She hoped her standing there sent the message that she was too lazy to move at all. Moving wasn't her thing, so the girl felt the need to let him do that.

Akryn smirked at her. If she wanted to have him go first, very well. He raised one hand into the air, ten, softball sized hailstones forming in the air over him, before he would wave his hand at her, sending all ten stones right at her. But he wasn't done, as he followed the stones in in a rush, running low to scoop up a rock. He expected her to dodge the ice, and if she did he would leap in the air, into a spin. As he spun, he would chuck the rock at her head, and on the otherside of the spin, he would shoot out his left foot at her chest.

Priscilla smirked and watched the hail head for her with Akryn in tow. She could already see where it was going by the time he picked up the walk. In one quick motion, she unzipped her jacket and removed the jacket. Holding it above her head so it cast a shadow on the ground, she stepped onto the shadow...

...and fell into it, the jacket then falling on top of the shadow. The hail missed completely, and whatever it was that Akryn did afterwards would probably have no effect. If he picked up the jacket, he would see that Priscilla had vanished. He couldn't reach into the shadow, couldn't grab it, feel it. There appeared to be nothing special about it, yet she had just vanished into it. While Akryn did whatever, Priscilla watched from inside the shadow, the shadow itself a window for her to look out on the world from.

Akryn slid to a stop just short of the coat and quickly hopped back a few paces, his eyes snapping around the arena. Shadow magic? Maybe some sort of teleportation? Interesting. It would be hard to catch this one, but he was confident he could do it. After all, spells that let you vanish like that had time limits and reset times, and if she had left the arena he would be declared the winner. So, no problem waiting. "I can wait aaalll day!" he called out, mimicking her from earlier.

Priscilla couldn't help but smirk from within the shadow as she quickly formulated a plan. Just jump out and rush him. There was nothing else she could do, anyways. This was initially just to try and escape that attack from earlier, and now she had to try and get out of it. With a sigh, she propelled herself from the shadow and flew a couple feet into the air, grabbing her jacket on the way out of the shadow. Tossing the jacket at Akryn whilst she was still in the air, Priscilla took a few steps towards the man, making her shadow touch the jacket's which would extend the range of her next spell. From the end of the jacket arose 5 tendrils that reached for Akryn, attempting to ram into him and either pierce or strike him bluntly.

Akryns eyes widened as the tentacles shotout towards him. "Oh heck no, I have seen them adult comics, I know where this is going." he said as he began quickly skipping back away from the tendrils. Rule one, with any opponent really. find out its reach and speed. As he was already several feet away, it didn't take long for him to catch its range as it would stop short just five feet from its point of origin. And it hadn't caught him, though it did come close. "Hmmmm a guard dog spell." he muttered softly as he slowly circled his target, just three feet outside the tentacles reach. Like with the spell that let her disappear, this one lkely had a duration and recharge. Hers was a magic reliant on luring her target in it seemed. "Like a venus flytrap." he muttered softly, a small smile spreading on hisface as he took another step back and squatted down to wait.

Priscilla watched her spell stop short of hitting the man, making her give a disappointed sigh. "Aw, I was hoping those would hit." she mumbled as she slowly walked towards her jacket, picking it up when she came close enough and donning it once more. After slipping her arms through her sleeves she casually looked over to the man, smiling. "I bet this is boring for the audience. Let's spice things up." she said as she pivoted her feet to point towards Akryn, lowering herself into a position that made it look like she was going to run. That's because she was, but there was something else she had in mind. When she propelled herself forwards, what looked like another leg sprouted from the flat of her foot, propelling her a few feet off of the ground and towards the man at abnormal speeds. She twisted her body back, arm reared back and ready to punch at him. Upon coming in range, she twisted herself back around and swung her arm at him, two more arms generating from the sides of her forearm and extending her punching distance by a few feet. Not only that, but they would hurt more than a punch from her.

Akryn braced himself as he saw her prepare to run, but was indeed a bit surprised when she launched herself at him with her shadows. He quickly raised his hands into a boxers stance before grinning. "Well then looks like we got a fist fight com-OHSHIT!" he said as the two shadow arms appeared, speeding towards his face. This had been truly unexpected. She was fast with those shadows, and with another opponent that would have worked. But thanks to his handy new toy, that didn't work. He quickly shot out a jab with his left hand, the one with the odd red glove. As he did so, a very powerful blast of wind would shoot out of the holes in his glove with a loud "WOOSH!" sound. The wind was powerful enough to throw an average man twenty five feet, and with Priscilla's slender form and likely less than average weight, as well as the fact that she was coming down and was about to be thrown up and away from Akryn, this attack would likely do a fair bit of damage. And unless the shadow hands were pretty fast, it was unlikely they would do more then graze him.

Priscilla was flung backwards through the air with great force, and she felt like she was flying. "Damnit..." she mumbled as she adjusted herself mid air to land on her feet. "I was so close." The girl landed on her feet and slid back several more so she was at least 35 feet away from Akryn. Now she had to close the gap, or else he could keep attacking her. Her limb generation was still in effect for now, so she propelled herself towards Akryn for now until she closed the distance, aiming another punch at him. This time the arms that came out of her forearms attacked him at a much faster speed. She couldn't afford to hold back anymore, she needed to hit him.

Akryn began bouncing on his toes as he watched her rush in, his eyes on her arms. Those hands were fast. So was she to. But he had the advantage here. Looked like she had to get close to hit him, where as he could fight at multiple distances, and could increase those distances. Still, best not to underestimate her. She might have a trick up her sleeve, like he did.

He waited till she closed the distance before throwing his hands out to either side, presenting a wide target. But it was only to prepare a spell, and as the fist zoomed in, he snapped his hands together infront of him, forming a powerful wall of wind, capable of stopping up to two hundred pounds of force. But even if her fist could get through, it would be slowed, enough for him to spin around, down into a crouch and kick out at her midsection, at the same time activating his wind walker spell. Normally this spell would lift him by creating a powerful blast of wind for him to walk on. It stood to reason the same force could be used to increase the power of his kick.

Priscilla foresaw this counterattack, and she turned herself and moved just an inch to the left so the kick missed her by mere inches. But now she couldn't use any spells so she did her best to maneuver herself so she was standing next to Akryn, facing the same way he was. What she did then, was attempt to slam her forearm into his neck and the sweep his feet from under him from behind. If this worked, it would send him onto his back for her to then attack whilst he was open. If not... Well, she didn't know.

"Oh, I didn't think this through enough." she mumbled to herself as she watched Akryn's bodily movements carefully.

Akryn snapped his arms up to block the blow to his neck, but from his position was in no way able to block the sweep, and so he went down to his back. But that didn't mean he went without swinging. As he fell back, he whipped his left foot up, so that if she was bending any, it would be aimed at her temple. At the same time he curled his right leg, so that when he went down, his right foot came down sole first, with which he would then launch off, giving just enough push so that by twisting his body in the dirt, he could set himself into a roll, which would then whip his right leg around. As he did so, he would straighten his leg out again, aiming to kick her in the chest this time.
