As she watched the shard shot forward, breaking the wind from the air as it pierces the air and gained the speed through her weapons fire spell increasing its speed, propelling it like a jet flying through the sky. Though that wasn't the only thing happening, the aquatic beast can see what Mari was up to from beneath the water and had control of the water created tentacles that we about he commanded two of those tentacles to strike her from both sides. The tips of both tentacles, rapidly increased in speed as if mini cyclones created by water suddenly pointed and burst forward toward Mari from both sides. Within seconds they clashed into Mari at the same time, causing a large collision similar to water crashing into the cliffs. With such an attack, Mari was blasted into the air with large brusies at her sides and possibly a few broken ribs as she fell onto her knees and regained her posture, along with spitting up blood.
Mari would crawl toward the edge of the cliff and poked her head out over the cliff watching as the water below was thrown into the air high enough that she could feel droplets strike the top of her head and on her face, washing a bit of the blood and stains that she's obtained through the struggle. But she didn't notice anything about the beast that was probably still within the water. She squinted and could only see the shadow of the beast within the water but couldn't tell if he was alive or dead, but she wasn't going to allow that thing to live without being sure.
She jumped and took hold of the side of the cliff, hanging overboard with her feet against the side of the cliff she made sure where the beast was before causing her feet to ignite. She propelled herself downward toward the water around the speed of 30mph.
"Fire Dragon's Crushing Talon!"
She shouted as she made a flip in the air as her entire right leg combusted into fire as she stretched out her leg. Her leg tightened and she kicked downward into the water, as she hit the water her leg blasted through the water through pure strength and caused the water to lift into all directions upward, leaving her on top of the frightened beast with his back toward the wet ground. She exhaled a black smoke from her nose in anger before she grabbed his face.
"Fire Dragon's Wing Attack!"
She shouted as her arms ignited in flames before shooting the beast into the air while her arms become lengthened streams of fire continuously bombarded the beast into the air. The beast was hurt and thrown into the air, above the water, leaving his body to flail around with arms stretched out and a face of agony. Before the water could consume Mari as it returned back to normal she propelled herself toward the beast and flipped forward.
"Fire Dragon's Burning Path!"
She shouted, her feet ignited and caused her to continuously spin upward and flew toward the beast. Striking its back, she scorched the beast continuously and pushed him further into the air only to be left with being burned and scorched. When suddenly she finally caught friction and begun to spin around the body of the beast leaving large black scorch marks onto its body. Turning into a cocoon of fire before she finally stopped and her body returned to normal, grabbing hold of his leg she threw the darkened beast toward the land.
He crashed into the earth as if a burning meteor, weakened and beaten, not even being able to lift a finger to save itself from being killed, it coughed up a puff a smoke as it tried to breath. Mari walked toward the beast with her fists clenched, stepping over the body of the aquatic beast she flipped him over for the finishing strike but noticed the life sucked out of his eyes and his chest stopped moving. She stopped for a moment as she watched the beast lay there dead and she the victor. She threw herself on the ground beside the beast with her arms stretched out and breathed heavily, her chest would pound constantly with her eyes closed shut as she tried to regain her strength.
Leapy was gone and she was left abandoned upon the cliffs, with a few bodies laying there lifeless. She had passed her test and learned that not every battle would have others there to help or protect you. A mage shouldn't just rely on others but become a fighter that fights along side others, a half and half of one whole and one that can't live without the other would only feel the wrath of death sooner or later. After an hour or so that she layed there she'd pick herself up before heading back to her guild to regain her health and prove her strength to her guild members.
