Finaly arrived

Thorn's training had finished once she had learnt to control the new magic inside of her, the magic she gained from experiments, the magic she had once almost wished she never had but now it was different she felt the strength of it and the need to get stronger. Thorn had heard of the Savage Skull the guild that didn't care about the human race, the guild that wouldn't care what she did to them to get what she wanted. Once upon a time she never sore herself here the place that nightmares where born now she wanted to be one of those nightmares.

Walking through the spooky forest Thorn felt right at home, the whispering of the plant life telling her she was heading in the right direction. When Thorn arrived outside the dark drily castle Thorn smirked in satisfaction she was finally somewhere where she could get stronger and accomplish her personal goals.

Walking through the door she entered into the dank, gloomy antechamber lit only be torches. Looking around she decided to wait patiently and just stand there very still just like her favourite tree. Part of her wondered where everyone else was and how long she would be waiting, but she was part plant and as such her patience had nearly no limits.

Kaseki smiled from behind the shadows. His very whisper would echo through the halls. He watched this woman for far longer than he would like to admit. She was beautiful, no doubt, but there was something amiss. He let his voice echo through the plants as if it were himself, and in a way, it was. Kaseki was the biggest freak of the guild as well as the outcast. His kind heart was, ironically, was allowed him entry. He was the voice of the environment, and by being so, he gave Savage Skull extra information that others could not normally obtain.

"Welcome." Kaseki said. His eyes opened to show his gaze. His glowing eyes just two violet portals into a hallow shell. "You're good. I like you. This is Savage Skull." His voice reflected off the walls like an empty tree trunk. Kaseki was the plant man of the guild, made of wood and metal. A dead deceased thing, held together by curses and enchantments. Anytime he was to die, his soul would travel back to the Spooky Forest and control a new body, one that would replace the former. "You have respected my kind, so I shall respect you." he said humbly. His voice sounding from all angles, but is eyes remained in one place. He watched her, he observed her. He could feel her energy. He wanted her in his pillar. She was... interesting.

"For every face you tell me, I shall answer one question truthfully." he said. This was his deal. If he was lied to, he would know, and it wouldn't be long until Sinali would arise to help her favorite lawnhead.

Thorn smiled softly she felt the change in the room a plant had arrived but there was something odd about this plant she couldn't quite put her fingers onto the problem. She followed her senses and figured where the plant like thing was but still stood firm on her spot at least the thing could not attack without Thorn knowing about it. Or so she believed.

Thorn looked up to the eyes that now shone from the shadows she nodded to the being hidden away “Thank you but you have seen nothing yet!” she declared with confidence these eyes belonged to the plant life she had been sensing and yet she still could not read it in a way she could with all the other plants she had come across “It's a very nice place!” Thorn said in a soft velvety voice. Thorn tilted her head at the my kind remark “I have respect for our kind!” she divulged just a bit of information

“Ask me any question and I will think about answering it truthfully!” she replied Thorn would never answer all his questions but was willing to answer at least some.

"Ooh!~" Kaseki's mind was full of ideas and thoughts, "I like her already!" Kaseki felt the paper of his Learning Scroll, observing and feeding off the information. He could smell her past with his nose. He enjoyed being part wolf. I mean, and part tree... and plant... and angel... and demon...

"Ms. Thorn, what brings you to this place tonight?" Kaseki asked. He could feel the light of the moon as he fed off of it. He loved the light. He took a small step forward, revealing only half of his face. The rest remained in the shadows. "I am Kaseki. Fourth Coming Storm. The Demon of Life. Water Mage. Healing Mage. Information Collector. A creature of many secrets. They refer to me, as the plantman, or as Sinali says, Lawnhead." He smiled at his words. He was getting used to the introduction thing.

He liked getting information. He loved the truth.

Thorn laughed lightly letting it ring around the hall still trying to figure out what this person was other than part plant. "you like me? Well I sopose that is a good thing never want to get of on the wrong foot with people who you wish to join"  Thorn said softly shaking her head slightly she wasn't shore she liked him well not yet anyway.

”I would ask how you now my name without me speaking it but I feel that would be a pointless question, The reason I am here in this place is to come and join Savage Skull if you must now! where is the guild master?” she asked her voice sharpened slightly she did not like people knowing things about her without aturly divulging the information. Thorn tilted her head slightly trying to get a better look at Kaseki “that is a very long title I will just call you Kaseki!” Thorn replied thinking that that was the best name out of all the titles.

"Yes, Kaseki was the name my brother gave me." he said lightly. He lifted his foot toward and took his step. His cloak was long ans tattered, and seemed to rustle like leaves in the wind. His skin looked like wood itself, yet it was as dark as ebony and as reflective as pond water at day. He was composed of the oddest materials to date. Not only was be made of an enchanted and cursed wood, but a biochemical iron and steel that reinforced his skeleton. His body was semihollow, allowing him to store liquids inside of him. He was able to carry insane amounts of liquid in certain areas undetected, and in some cases, liquid poison. On one single occasion, he carried acid inside of him for an assassination. It was his first days in Savage Skull, and he was just a novice then. Only the Maker knew what Kaseki's potential really was.

"The guildmaster is a busy man," Kaseki assured her, "I am the lifeless that watches life come and go." He smiled as he neared her. Whatever spells she wanted to use, Kaseki knew they could not work on him. It was as much use as trying them on a stone golem. "Perhaps a pillar head will arrive soon." He tilted his head to the side, and faced away, not losing his gaze on the girl. "Mistress Sinali!~" he cried out. He immediately returned to his prior guest. "I assume you know what the rules are? Or at least a pillar? Or can I help you, that is my duty after all~"

Thorn gazed at Kaseki taking in his odd features she had never seen a man that looked just like a tree it was fascinating. She was temped to touch his skin to see if it felt the same as the trees she had felt in the past. She tried hard not to move closer to Kaseki because as fascinated as she was Thorn doubted he liked people touching him. She was not afraid of him ,though he could obviously kill her if he wished, because she knew death was just as entertaining as life.

“it is obvious the guild master is busy but I don't think any guild master would allow his underlings to decide on who joins the ranks and who does not no matter the age of that underling!” she softly declared in a mocking tone. Having someone like Kaseki so close was relaxing for Thorn the part plant in Kaseki soothed her mind. She laghed a soft chuckle “It is very offensive to call someone from across the hall if that was me I doubt you would get off lightly” Thorn smirked “I have have a rough grasp of the roles and of the pillars but I am shore whoever I am placed under will go into more details with me”

Kaseki was fascinated to find another plant. He didn't hear it from her lips, but he could feel it, and if he didn't... well the scroll told him. "More than likely, you will be in the Pillar of Decay, with me." Kaseki smiled, and gave a slight bow. "I will be my honor to serve along side you." Kaseki couldn't get over the fact that he was no longer alone. He had someone like him for once. For once, he belonged. "We serve Sinali, a small girl of the undead. She will care for you as she did for me. She is the ringmaster, the one to fear. Her rotting corpse will protect you just as I, and if she doesn't, then I will." Kaseki wanted to protect nature with all of his life. It just happened that he met someone who was his plant-kin. He had his fair share of Wolf-Kin, but this was a good change for once.

He extended his arm out to the guest. "Come, let me show you around. If you cause a scene the others will come and end the fun. Come come, let's go." Kaseki would show her every shadow, every crevasse, every room and every wall. This place was perfect for Sinali's game of hide and seek. And as for the Garm... If Kaseki didn't protect Thorn, she would surely be killed like that last member... whatever her name was.

Thorn smiled softly “you are a fascinating Creature and it will be an honour to serve along side you as well.” She said softly letting it sink in that a small girl would be in charge of her. It wouldn't be the first time someone younger than her would be her superior but a child is new and Thorn looked forward to seeing how this new co-operation would work. “Do you exstend your protection to everyone that walk through those doors or am I a special case because I am part plant?” Thorn asked Kaseki taking a small step towards him.

Looking at his arm Thorn smiled softly softly placing her hand onto his arm she could feel the bark like skin under her hand, it was fascinating she had thought she was the only one to be this way but now she knew different “I only coarse a scene when one needs to be coursed!” Thorn declared smirking softly ready to go where ever he take her. Thorn was ready to see everything and to have all the information about this place to survive.

Kaseki let his own words sink in. "How did I feel when I first joined... Right... Janna." Kaseki remembered the young girl who held a pillar. She was intimidating and not fearsome at all. At least, not to Sinali. "Sinali is mush older than it seems. She looked 6, but could be as old as 600. She never told me her age." Kaseki just couldn't get over the joy of seeing someone of his kind. It was like having a best friend... At least, one outside of his family.

And in that moment, he remembered his brother. He remembered all of the things he did to protect him. He remembered his death, the blood, being hunted for decades... He remembered it all.

He listened to the words. Why did he want to protect her? She advanced towards him as he came up with his answer. "I was once in your place. I was cast aside into the darkness. Days I wandered without a guide. I am here to aid those in our cause, here to show you that you are not alone." She reached out and placed her hand in his. Kaseki couldn't help by smile. It was the start of something great. He took her by the hand and led her down the great hall. She would not make a scene, for she gave her word. "Let me introduce you to Lady Sinali." he said with laughter.

Thorn raised an eyebrow glancing at Kaseki out the corner of her eyes whilst still keeping track of which way she was going. Thorn smiled softly “She sounds interesting to me, I cant wait to meet her in person!” She declared softly thinking it would be interesting to get to know someone that different.

Thorn lost her smile instantly she saw inside his mind she saw what he was thinking she felt sorry for him she felt she had to stop his loneliness “You are not alone any more!” She said softly placing a hand on his shoulder it was far kinder than she liked to be but he was a kindred and she was always kind to plants and trees no matter how different they were.

Thorn listened to the reason he wanted to protect her. It was an understandable reason but she had only been alone since the experiments and she was silent about that. She never knew how to tell people she use to be good. It didn't matter. They never believed her anyway.

“You are not alone any more!” ... There was those words again. He heard those words more often now than he thought, and from the most unexpected of places. The first was his brother. Dregon was a boy just as Kaseki once was, who fell under a grim circumstance of  the spirits. Both of them were the first on their kind, of different fates. Kaseki was born a human with his mind erased, and he found himself in the body of a wolf... or werewolf if you will. It was them that he barely knew his past, only to have it taken away from the Swamp Spirit, the creature that made him a plant. His brother suffered a fate the same. They were two children lost and forgotten, changed and warped, and they only had each other. They were family now. But that was millions of years ago...

But then there was that girl...

Kaseki felt his past creep up on him again. There was times he wanted to get a glimpse of the family he was born into, but he was at the same time frightened to find the results. Kaseki just wanted to be a hero.

"There was once a time that I was a guildless mage." Kaseki started his tale, guiding Thorn to Sinali's room. "I was so lost, without my family. I had no one. I did meet this man named Neo, he wanted to kill the one thing I did own, a stump." Kaseki thought about the words Sinali would tell him this time. "For a good year Neo and I wandered Fiore for a place to call home. One day he abandoned me to embark on a journey of a great flying ship, he joined the guild of Nox Animus." The very words started to cause a wound in his heart. It was so long ago... And that man made the guild feel alone now.. what was his name? "So I joined the guild of Lamia Scale. I was once a great hero. I rescued villages. I saved people. I built homes for the homeless, I trained the weak to fight. I taught the hungry to get food. I was once a legal mage." Kaseki remembered those days as a hero, he loved it. But that place was no home to him, especially after a certain event. "Every day I tried to be accepted, every day I tried to be one of them. I branded myself with their insignia." He lowered his right sleeve, extending the collar of his cloak. His right shoulder was revealed, along with countless scars and cuts on his body. "Then one day I was led here. This is my home now... This is my home."

Kaseki knew very well that deep beneath Sinali's pet name of "Lawnhead" she accepted him. She may have not cared for him like he wished, but he was accepted. He was her favorite playtoy.

For he could reveal the scar of Lamia Scale, and sneak into places better than any other member of Savage Skull.

Thorn sighted softly squeezing Kaseli's hand slightly she herd his words and processed them, she let him finish his story of his past. Thorn also listened closly to his mind it was odd Thorn could not see Kaseki as a good guy a hero maybe but only to the plant and tree life not to humans or damsels. She followed his mind wondering if he realised what she was doing she doubted she was there un noticed.

“How long were you in  Lamia Scale?” Thorn asked softly tilting her head slightly waiting pationtly for his reply. Thorn wondered if this Neo person was still alive and knew what he had put Kaseki though, she was taking mental notes of what he said it was good to have information on people but she was not doing it because of that reason. She was doing it because she could feel herself starting to like him in a friend sort of way “Why did you leave what event are you thinking of?” she asked not thinking twice about how he would react or if it was a question that should be asked.

Thorn saw an image of who she gathered to be Sinali and her calling him “Lawnhead” it amused her slightly at that. Thorn saw how people accepted you no matter what you looked like or how you came to be as long as you where loyal and contributed to the guild.

Thorn smiled softly starting to consider if she was part of Sinali's pillar what Sinali would have her do and what games she would play. This bit slightly worried Thorn but it seemed to excite her at the same time. Sinali sounded fun to have around especially when she was playing with a toy that wasn't you.

Thorn raised her eyebrows clearing her throat to disguise a laugh as she read an interesting thought in the mind of this part plant “I see you think you are the best at sneaking into a place but if the rumours are true I beleive Sinali can shapeshift which would make her better at mingling and gaining information. Much better than hiding in the darkness listening in on the group don't you think?” she declared softly.

"So my dear sweet lawnhead thinks he is better at spy games then me?" said a childlike voice and then seemingly from out of nowhere a young girl clad in nothing but a ragged red dress emerged. One of her eyes was closed and she looked almost dead. "Then I wonder why neither of you knew I have been listening to you speak now for a few minutes" There was a faint smile on her face. A smile that to most, Kaseki for certain, would show she was planning some mischief or some game. Considering he had been thinking, or apparently thinking, negative thoughts about her skills compared to his, he might be wise to get scared.

In truth, she had only been there for about a minute, but neither of them needed to know that. It added to the mystery of her and made her seem even more powerful than she was. How had she sneaked up on them? Well, she had heard her name called and waited till the voices were close before activating one of her lesser spells. It allowed her to, much like a chameleon, become almost invisible. This combined with the darkness of most of Savage Skull was enough for her to get up to them without being seen. Of course, they could have sensed her magic power, but Sinali was an infiltrator as well as a destructive force. As such she had long ago mastered the art of suppressing her magic power to make it near undetectable. The process of doing so was annoying and she was already working on lacrima in order to make it easier for her, but that project was not quite done yet.

"So Lawnhead...is that your girlfriend?" she said with a childish giggle. Two part plants holding hands. What else was she supposed to think? Well, she thought Thorn was part plant if only because she didn't seem quite human. Sinali had great knowledge of human biology and she seemed off. Perhaps the part plant was a bit of a stretch, but she did seem to be getting on very well with Kaseki, which was unusual. Perhaps Kaseki saw some similarity to this newcomer and that was why he was being so friendly. Despite her child-like appearance and nature she was in fact very smart. After all, she was one of the world's experts on lacrima.

“How long were you in  Lamia Scale?” Kaseki inhaled and thought about it. His time was cut short. But it was an enjoyable experience. "A little more than half year. I made friends with legal mages who I keep in contact to this day. They give me information and other things in return, I stay off their property... unless welcomed." Kaseki remembered his long lost friend, and the adoptive son that lived among the Rune Knight ranks. Kaseki had eyes everywhere. “Why did you leave what event are you thinking of?” Kaseki paused for a moment to think of the correct wording... "I spent time in Edolas. It was there I met my future self. He called himself Kodai. To make a long tale short, he came back with me to Earthland. And he lives within my soul." Kaseki didn't want to release Kodai, at least not yet. Kodai was the destructive version of him, and the only thing more destructive than Kodai... was Kaseki.

Everyone in Savage Skull prefered Kaseki in the guildhalls, and Kodai on the battle field. That way they had their servant at home, and the one man army in times of war. Thorn went on saying how it was probably a better job to hide in the shadows than to hide in plan sight. Kaseki agreed, and nodded so. It was true. But both has their benefits, and both gathered information.

"So my dear sweet lawnhead thinks he is better at spy games then me?"

The small child emerged from the darkness, watching the two plants. Kaseki wondered how long it would take for her to appear. Normally when he called her name she was already listening to the whole conversation, or at least knew it was happening. "Then I wonder why neither of you knew I have been listening to you speak now for a few minutes" she said with one eye closed. Kaseki knew that she was stronger than him, but unlike him, had not seen how organizations are formed. "Ah, no my lady. I simply said I am best hiding among them. Take for instance when we went to Era. I walked directly into their walls without a word being said. They all knew my face yet they said nothing. But unlike you, I am not a ... threat."

Kaseki loved the shadows of Savage Skull, for it was almost like a ebony foggy mist. It would move and shape around you, eating the light away. It was something only the guildmembers would understand. It was their own private nightfall, hiding away things. The guild was full of secrets and mysteries. That's what they were, the darkest secret in all of Fiore. The guild people feared they were... "So Lawnhead...is that your girlfriend?"

Kaseki's eyes widened, releasing more light than before. How... What? "No no... I mean.. Um... No. She's a friend. She's going to be in our Pillar. I mean she is a girl. Right?" he looked at Thorn. "Yeah yeah she's a girl... and my friend... so.. Yes a girl-friend but not a girlfriend... Does that make sense?" Kaseki asked, still with Thorn's hand in his.

Thorns head shot round looking at the new comer Thorn glanced up and down at the small girl that had just spoke thinking that was something she would have to improve on, not letting others sneak up on her when there was no plant life around that would wisper to her about the danger, ”I am guessing you are the famous Sinali? Kaseki has told me a lot about you.” she said softly almost a wispier her voice had almost abandoned her in this time of need,Thorn only asked her question out of politeness after all Thorn already knew the answer but this child-like mage was much stronger than her and she did not want to piss Sinali off on her first day that would be a very stupid move. She smiled softly at Sinali's statement ”sensing someone when they are unseen is something I admittedly need to work on pro-haps you will teach me one day how it is done!” Thorn said truetherly she was not ashamed at her lacking skills this is why she was here to learn form the best.

Thorn smiled softly she enjoyed the was Sinali spoke very child-like but smart and she swore she sensed a twisted ploy about to head her way, Thorn glanced at  Kaseki when the girlfriend question was asked but his answer stunned her more than Sinali's question “She's a girl right? Of course I am a bloody girl how dear you question that!” She said through gritted teeth thorn snatched her hand out of Kaseki's and steeped away from him. She then turned to Sinali ”I dought we are even friends after that insoltive  remark!” Thorn replied in a soft voice [color=violet]”I am Thorn just so you are well informed!” she stated finding a decent space far enough away form Kaseki but she did not dear get to close to sinali the rumours made her far more scary than she looked and in thorns oppiun that's when they are even more dangers. Thorn felt a little unsafe being besides two strong mages if they wished they could wipe out of existence and Thorn was far from ready for that she after all had a goal she had to complete.

His words were perhaps what sealed the deal for him. He had assumed she was going to be in Sinali's pillar. He had referred to it as 'our' pillar as if he was more than just a pawn in her games. He had insulted the new member, which wasn't something she particularly cared about, but still...he had refered to Sinali as an it. No, this would not do. It was time for this toy to break. Good thing too because she doubted she could handle two strange part plants, particularly if both of them were like Kaseki. She stuck out her tongue at him and suddenly it shot forward splitting into three and becoming suddenly spiked. One of them wrapped around him and lifted him off the ground. The other two wrapped around his legs and constricted before tearing them off. She dropped him to the floor the two tongues now wrapped around his arms. She then focused and her body rippled before a second Sinali formed.

"Thorn...would you like to break this toy? He has insulted us both." the clone sinali said with a wicked grin opening is eye to reveal the guild emblem tatooed upon it. "And I have heard rumours from the shifting sands that he has sold information to the legal guilds." Her grin broadened even more as she said the next statement. "Besides...I've been needing a new decoration for my playroom."

She was giving the new girl a chance to prove herself as a worthy addition to the guild and her pillar. Now was the time to see what she was capable of. "Well?"

Magic:

Thorn gasped the sight of Sinali's tounge split into three it was fascinating and scary all at the same time. Thorn made a mental note at that moment to never get on the wrong side of Sinali because if you did it would probly be the last thing you do. She watched Sinali rip Kaseli apart and saw that even a guild member could be tortured or killed for saying the wrong thing and if you actually betrayed the guild well that was just a guaranteed death sentence.

Thorn smiled an evil grin “I would not like to take the joy of breaking a toy of yours!” she said softly laughing at the predicament Kaseki was in. Thorn shook her head walking in close to Kaseki and knelt down putting her lips close to his ear “You might be my kin but I will not forgive anyone that betrays the guild!” Thorn said softly walking over to Sinali “May I borrow those?” she asked pointing to Kaseki's leg that were now on the floor. Thorn closed her eyes and placed a hand on the floor extending her magic to Kaseki's leg using them as she would roots. She had them thrust into Kaseki's chest piercing him. She enjoyed it slightly which was odd as she swore never to harm a plant. She supposed as he was only part plant she was able to suppress the anger of having to destroy a fellow plant person. Besides it could be her ticket into the guild.

Turning her head Thorn looked at Sinali “Anything for the guild. Do you wish him dead?” she asked softly

Magic:

Sinali was fascinated as this new plant woman used Kaseki's own legs to pierce him through the chest. Not only that she didn't kill the man straight away. No, instead she left potentially the final blow as something Sinali could do. She tilted her head to the side back and fourth and then smiled. It was then that a beam of energy tore from the guild emblem on her eye and pierced through his head killing him instantly. The beam was not her strongest spell, but it was enough to finish off Kaseki in her weakened state. "Welcome to the guild and welcome to the pillar of Decay." Sinali's clone said with a smile before fading into non-existence swiftly followed by the multiple tongues of Sinali. "You will meet the Mr.H soon enough."

With that Sinali picked up the pieces of the recently deceased plant man and walked away. "We'll go on a job soon Berry." she said giving Thorn her nickname.
