Arrival of a Ice mage, Private(Kihia and Talen)/Social

It was Kihia’s first time in a large scale town, let alone one by the sea. The young man looked around getting acquainted with the settings just within the entrance of Hargeon Town. He carried with him a number of bags that he had slung over his left shoulder, as well as an intricate metal pole arm shaft he held in his right hand. Doing his best to ignore what was going on around him, he reached into one of his many pockets and pulled out a piece of paper and started reading it. He then shook his head and thought “I hope this is a good Idea, I have never been in a town this big before…” He looked up trying to grasp his location in relation to the directions on the paper.  “Well the old man was never wrong before.” He thought to himself, he then looked down at the paper for again a moment. He nodded, and put the paper back into one of his pockets. He double checked to make sure he had everything, seeing that he hadn’t misplaced anything he nodded in satisfaction; he took a moment to take a look back at the entrance of Hargeon Town, for a moment he stood there wondering if he should head back. He then closed his eyes for a moment, and shook his head; he then lifted up and rested his pole arm on his right shoulder, turned around, and started walking down a street. “Well, no going back, I must look forward to my future, as the old man wanted…..” He thought to himself as he continued walking down the street.

Talen was walking down the streets of Hargeon Town, looking for a new restaurant to try. He had tried most of the ones in the harbor town, and he wanted to find a new one, maybe something Joya themed. He turned a corner and came to the entrance of the town. As always there was the normal dull roar of people coming into and leaving the port town.

Talen sighed to himself as he heard his stomach rumbling. "I need to find a place to eat." Talen turned around and started to walk back toward the guild hall, maybe they will have some food there. Suddenly Talen felt an intense pain on the back of his head right before he fell to the ground. "Aww..." Talen gowned to himself, "What hit me?"

Kihia felt something hit his pole arm shaft, he tensed, and slowly turned to see what hit his pole arm shaft. He saw a tall man on the ground, who seemed to be in pain. He stood there for a minute, studying the man who he accidentally hit with his pole arm shaft. He thought to himself, "Where did he come from?...". He stood there for a minute longer studying the man. He then asked in a cold almost monotone voice "Are you ok?"...

Talen slowly stood, rubbing the back of his head as he did so. "I'm fine," he said, "Its does not hurt that badly." Talen quickly checked that he still had his keys and wallet, before turning toward the mage that had hit him. He looked kind of strange, with white hair and a white trench coat. The mysterious man was obviously lost, holding what appeared to be instructions or a map in one hand. Talen asked, "Are you lost or somthing? I can tell that you are not from around here."

Kihia kept staring at him, trying to see if there was something hidden in his shabby appearance. After a minute he finally responded, "I am glad that you are not seriously hurt.... and I am not technically lost yet, but I haven't found my way yet either...." Kihia stares at the man for a minute after he stopped talking, and held out the piece of paper. "This is my first time in a town of this size, I could use the help....but don't expect much from me on the way...." he said still in his cold monotone like voice.

Talen took the piece of paper, and was surprised that is was a set of instructions on how to get to Lamia Scale. "Well," Talen said, "you are in luck, Lamia Scale is my guild. we are just a short walk from there." Talen looked at the stranger again, this time wondering if he was a mage or something else, they had been getting a surprisingly small number of actual mages as of late.

Talen turned toward the guild hall and started walking in it's direction. "If you want to join the guild," Talen said over his sholder, "follow me."
