- Info:
- 1. No God-Modding / Omnisciency / Metagaming:
Just as you do not know what I look like - you cannot know whether I'm Hispanic, Caucasian, African or Oriental - In the same way, you cannot magically know that a certain event took place or that a certain person who is famous only in the underground of a single, small, isolated region when you come from the other side of the world. You would have needed to have been told in character by other player characters.
- 2. Make your posts as descriptive and creative as you can.:
Make your words into a visual picture that appeals to your readers. I understand sometimes that when you write something down, it makes all the sense in the world to you but, often, no one but you really comprehends what you mean.
- 3. Refrain from mature topics, if you can:
References are okay, but do not actually roleplay that stuff out.
- 4. Respect the rights of the owner:
Whenever you plan to use someone else's character in a thread where the owner of that character is not involved / not present; you have to take the permission of the owner. This includes framing the character for some goodwill, treachery, injuring them (even if it's just a scratch), etc, etc. If the owner denies your request, just stop bitching right there and then. This even applies to people who've left the site; for unless you have a way of contacting them and taking their permission, you don't have the right to even borrow a glass of water from their character.
- 5. 'Liquid Time' has its limits.:
Unless they can duplicate themselves, which is extremely unlikely, unless you are a mage with an ability which allows you to split yourself into two or more people. And, that wouldn't be allowed anyways. OR if you specify it in the first post of your thread that it happens before or after another thread you are in at the same time. This is only allowed for Social or Private No Killing threads. While your character is in a thread where he or she could die, you cannot have a thread that happens after it in the timeline.
- 6. Post paragraphs, not a few sentences.:
We understand that it might be hard for new RPers to use a lot of words in their posts, but you should be able to write more than just two sentences. We expect you to write about 50 words per post at least.
- 7. Third Person, Past Tense:
In RPs we write in third person and in a past tense. "Seijin was hungry. He looked around to see if there was any food, but found nothing." Like that.
- 8. Post Order and Time Limit:
When making a thread that involves more than two persons, you need to establish a post order. An order that determines who goes first, second, etc. Everyon needs to follow that order and wait for the others to reply. However, if a member fails to reply within 24 others, without warning the others that he or she would not be able to post within the time limit, that member's turn will be skipped. Also, no double posting. Wait for other people to reply before you post again. Socials do not have post orders, at best just have everyone post once before starting anew.
- 9. If it is not your business, stay out of it.:
Sometimes people tend to get involved in things they should not. Applications for example. Only Moderators and Administrators should reply and comment on applications in the threads themselves. If you wish to help new members out, send them your comments in a private message.
- 10. Quitters are not rewarded here.:
As of 7/6/13 , to those that chose to leave this site, you also forfeit all of your property and IC positions as well.
If you have chosen to leave the site, then you have also chosen to lose everything you have earned here as well. This excludes VIP items.
You will start from the bottom as a D rank.
This is non negotiable, make an absence if you must but do not quit the site and stop being a member.
Effective for all members before, after, and on the date specified prior to this announcement.
As of 11/25/16, those who have been inactive for more than six months forfeit all posessions on their characters if they have not made an active post or a post in regards to their absence.
- Info:
There are various different types of threads. In the title of your thread you must state what kind of thread it is between brackets. [ ]
- {OPEN}:
Open to everyone. Everyone can join the thread. The only rule is that you must give everyone else a heads up when your character joins. This means that your first post must be your character entering the scene, but not yet participating in the situation / conversation of the other participants.
- {CLOSED}:
This means that no more people can join. Usually a thread would be Open first and after a certain amount of people have joined the owner of the thread can choose to close the thread. Nobody else will be able to join the thread.
- {PRIVATE}:
In a private thread members have already agreed on who will join the thread and when, before actually opening it. The thread is closed to anyone who's name is not listed in the title.
- {X/SOCIAL}:
The X would be replaced by either one of the above. This type of thread is limited to Social interaction only. No fighting is allowed.
- {X/FNK}:
The X would be replaced by either one of the first three threads above. This type of thread may contain fighting. BUT the NK indicates No Killing. No fights to the death here.
- {X/FK}:
The X would be replaced by either one of the first three threads above. This type of thread may contain fighting. BUT the K indicates Killing. You character may kill or get killed in this thread. Getting killed will result in you losing your Character and having to create another one.
There are two things that should be added to any of the above in your present thread accordingly: Traveling/Means of transportation (This can be either Walking, Boat, Train or Teleportation. Flying is considered to be Walking.) or "Job"
Traveling/Walking, Boat, Train, Teleportation: "Title of your thread" [type of thread]
Job: "Title of your mission" [people involved]
