The birds chirped, creating a form of melody as they perched on the branches of the many trees in Clover Town. Energized, Naruto walked down the path in the town, heading for the remarkable train station. He was exceptionally excited, and was for a reason curious. It would be his first job since joining Fairy Tail, Fiore’s most popular and well known guild. What’s more, his first job was not meant to be done with a fellow guild member. Naruto was teamed up with someone from other guild. The fact he would be doing a job with a stranger did not scare him, in fact it pumped him up. The yellow haired man started dashing through the people, suddenly anxious as he heard some complaining nearby.

“I got a job to attend to man! Don’t screw up!” “Come on man, get it moving!!” Those were some of the many flying complaints Naruto’s ears could catch, making him chuckle lightly instead. “Ahaha they really need to calm down.” Naruto shoved them aside, making way as he pushed himself across the sea of people. Naruto squeezed himself between the people, exiting the crowd as he walked. Reaching somewhere out of the crowd, Naruto decided to wait for his partner, before doing anything regarding the job. “Now now, what would he look like?”

The chirping birds flew away for their lives, killing the melody as they flapped their wings. A cat jumped onto the branch the birds were on, walking gracefully as it held a piece of flyer on the feline’s mouth. The black cat shone under the sunlight, its yellow eyes looking at the busy surroundings of the Clover Town. It hopped from a branch to another, its soft paws supporting its body weight, swiftly jumping here and there. It looked majestic in a way, but still would look as cute as a cat. It jumped onto a wall, walking on it after. A boy saw it, and decided to give the black cat a gentle pat on the head. The cat let the boy be, as he was not doing any harm. As the boy left, the black cat decided to continue its walk, heading to one of the busiest places on the town.

The cat reached the train station, and it could see crowds of people complaining about things and such. It didn’t want to hear the noisy complaints, so the cat walked towards an empty space, where he could see a male, yellow haired, with a headband on his forehead. The black cat hopped onto the bench where the male was on, sitting next to him. The cat knew the man would look at it after that, so it dropped the piece of paper it was holding in its mouth on the male’s lap, hoping he would understand the message the cat was trying to send.

Naruto would find himself sitting on a bench, chuckling as he looked at the station controller. He was getting cornered by the angry passengers, without any reply to give at their flooding complaints. “Calm down, people.. We have a slight difficulty at the moment…” That was all he could say, but the reply didn’t seem to be sufficient to satisfy the passenger’s complaints. “That guy’s got issues.” Naruto commented, again chuckling after. He found the situation rather funny. What’s there to be rushed? People got all the time in the world, so why panic over situation as puny as this? Naruto shrugged, leaning on the bench after.

It was no long before a cat popped up suddenly out of nowhere. It jumped onto the bench, sitting next to him, but Naruto decided to ignore it. Much to his surprise, the black cat put something on his lap, which seemed to be a piece of paper. “Wait…” the piece of paper seemed to have his attention. Naruto took the piece of paper, and it was revealed to be the same as the one he was carrying in his pouch. “Don’t tell me.. You..” Naruto looked at the cat, which was also looking at him.The two exchanged glances, before Naruto finally took out his index finger. “Say, if you understand me.. Put your paw on my finger, and meow twice. Then, wiggle your tail.” Naruto wanted to make sure of his assumption, still slightly surprised at the current situation.

The cat tilted its head, as the man popped out his index finger, with much curiosity in his eyes. The cat sighed unnoticeably, putting its paw on the man’s finger, meowing twice next. Finally, it wiggled its black colored fur coated tail around, killing the doubt that was in the man’s thoughts. It pulled its paw, returning to its original sitting pose. The feline didn’t know what to do next, and it wanted the man to start the next move. And it looks like the station manager, or whatever he was called was having problem keeping up with the unsatisfied passenger’s many complaints.

“Please, good sirs, it would be best if all of you would just calm down.. I will make up to this.. inconvenience as soon as I can.” The man’s pledge, however, seemed to be ignored by the still angry passengers. They continued swarming the sweating man with questions and complaints, which he surely couldn’t handle by himself. The black cat watched as the situation goes on, not having the ability to talk, therefore could not help the man with his problem. However, the cat’s partner could, and it turned to look at him, somehow asking the yellow haired mage to help the station controller with his current situation.

Naruto watched in amazement as the cat did whatever the yellow haired man told the black feline to. It did exactly as told, with the paws, the meowing and the tail wiggling. The surprising obedience it had was somehow a sign for Naruto to start believing in the black cat’s intelligence. “Wow.. You’re something.” Naruto commented, still amazed at what the black cat was capable of. Calming himself down again, Naruto leaned onto the bench, his finger on his chin. “Well.. I wonder if I can get such cats anywhere…” Unaware to Naruto, the cat was eyeing the still swarmed station controller, the situation seemed to get worst.

“So, little ca-“ Naruto turned to the cat, only to catch it staring at the station controller, prompting Naruto to pause his sentence. It was not long before the cat finally looked back to Naruto, coincidentally meeting with the man’s glance on it. “Oh.. So you want to start this?” Naruto nodded, getting back on his legs after. Stretching a bit, he knew it was time for the two of them to start acting, as the cat demanded so too. Walking towards the busy man, Naruto shoved through the crowd, hoping the cat would be able to follow. “So, how’s job doing?” Naruto said casually, as if the man was somehow he knew well.
