Raven started following him silently, keeping the white dragon in her hands busy by petting him. The day was very bright and she found a warm breeze blowing across the area. This kind of atmosphere was completely different from her raven world. In raven world, the sky was usually red or dark and there were no days, only night prevailed in there and the world seemed dark even under the occasional pale light of the full moon. She, somehow, have always felt that she hated that world from the very beginning. Even though it was her home and she should, like a normal being, love her home, she had always felt that the world was supposed to be destroyed a long time ago. It was this feeling of hers’ in the end that caused her to unleash all of her power and destroy her home. And when she came to earth, the dark voice she heard at the back of her head that night was no longer there. Her mind seemed as peaceful as the calm sea at the moment. Hopefully, a storm won’t be coming anytime soon.
Her train of thoughts ended abruptly when she found Lance being pushed down by a group of men. They looked drunk and dangerous to her. She frowned at their actions and was about to take a step towards them when Lance got up and then the sky turned dark. He was using a spell, it seemed and she watched without much expression shown on her face. Her eyes momentarily traveled towards the sky and her lips formed a thin line, not liking where this seemed to be headed. When she saw him starting to attack the group, she wanted to stop him even though the group probably deserved what was coming at them. She could feel the white dragon in her hands moving around and yelling in protestation. She only tightened her hold on him, not wanting him to get in between the fight.
When everything ended and Lance came back towards her, she just stood there looking at him for a moment before turning around, complying with his request on taking them somewhere else. Her flats made no sound on the stone ground as she walked slowly towards another part of Magnolia that she liked very much. “Your temper is quite short, isn’t it?” she asked, not bothering to look behind her, knowing that he should be following her since she had his little dragon. “I wonder if you know the value of life, Lance. It’s easy to take one, very easy actually. But you should know every life is valuable. This is not a lecture but something you should think about.” Raven’s eyes became distant and it looked like she was looking somewhere far away when she continued. “You don’t want the type of sin I have in my hands. It’s….It’s scary” she ended the conversation, walking directly towards the forest close to Magnolia. Memories of the men, women and children that died flashed into her mind for a moment.
