Type: Magic Item/Staff
Description:
- Traveler's Bough:
Carved from a branch of the Allorn by an ancient order of druids, this staff has inherited some of the dimension-bending power of its parent tree. According to legend the Allorn was a great sentient oak that grew at the edge of the earth and spread its roots through the dimensions bordering this one. The druids that tended it claimed that by communing with the tree one could walk between worlds, and while many have said that it was just a fairy tale the power in this staff tells another story. Ashe uncovered it while searching an abandoned nature temple when she was little, and has used it to provide herself with a home of sorts ever since.
- Being made of living wood imfused with magic the staff can quickly regrow itself over the course of one post if it is broken. (But who would do that to a poor little staff? D:)
Weaknesses:
- The staff is made out of very sturdy wood, but due to it's construction it isn't suited for use as a combat weapon.
- As it is carved from living wood the staff still needs sun, dirt, and water from time to time to stay healthy, though it can go without much longer than normal plants.

Rank: C
Duration: Indefinite

Description: When placed between two objects that roughly form the shape of a doorframe the staff will begin to grow until it fills the space as a perfectly fitted door with an embedded knocker that matches the symbol on the head of the staff. Regardless of what lay beyond the makeshift doorframe to begin with, opening the door leads to a moderately sized pocket dimension that looks as if it was carved from inside the trunk of an enormous tree; the space within being roughly the size of a three story, 150 sq. meter house. Large portions of it are filled with stacks and piles of antiques and artifacts that Ashe has collected during her travels, creating a sort of three-dimensional labyrinth cobbled together from various pieces of furniture and grown sections of living wood. The whole place has a cozy, sort of lived in aura that brings to mind sitting in front of a warm fire at the end of a journey. A few hours rest inside will completely refill one's energy and heal minor wounds.
Strengths:- Regular mazes are confusing to navigate, three dimensional ones even more so. Only Ashe knows where anything is or how to get there within the pocket dimension, any anyone else will very quickly get lost.
Weaknesses:- Under no circumstances can this ability be used in combat. The staff will flat out refuse to grow and the door will not open if there is fighting going on nearby in order to protect the pocket dimension.
- Once placed, the staff can only be picked up and returned to its normal form from the outside by the person who placed it. This basically means there's no making the door disappear after you enter: as long as you're inside the door is visible.
