No hope for the lost. (Rei's entrance)

It was as Lenora described it to him, but her description was far more grand she had him thinking that Fairy Tail would be a wonderous place of turrets and banners emblazoned with the august Fairy Tail insignia a veritable fortress. This was so far from the mark as he walked through the doors he couldn't help but feel as if he had walked into a Saloon it certainly had the feel of one. All run down but not unclean in fact it looked very well maintained inspite of its obvious age and as he looked around the sparsely occupied waiting area he couldn't help but notice that there was no front desk in site just a bar. "Lenora you clever thing you obviously you left out a few key details." he muttered to himself as he wandered over to the bar.

For once, Ikuto was drunk. Although, he wasn't an alcoholic, he was drunk. This was a very rare occurrence, so Ikuto made a big deal out of it. Seeing a kid walking over to Ikuto, he slapped the man on the back. "You....youu.....tonight, we'll drink! Hahahaha!" laughing hysterically. Not noticing that the boy was a newcomer, Ikuto acted his normal attitude that would take time to get used to. "Hey hey hey. Guess what? I'm suddenly really hot..." Unbuttoning the two top buttons of his shirt, he was sure he started creeping the kid out. "Just kidding m'lad! I wouldn't do something so vulgar, Mr. Ehhh...Uhh...Hehe" he said, waiting for the newcomer to fill him in.

He quickly recovered from the highly intoxicated but very exhuberant welcome from the man who looked nearly the same age as him though he had been told on several occasions that he looked like a kid. Rei simply turned and smiled warmly at the man. "My name is Rei Hoshiyomi, but you can call me whatever you like. Actually I'm hoping to join this particular guild is there a registry or do we have to wait? You see my girlfriend told me that this was the best guild around." his tone was was friendly and he tried not to sound nervous, but he was he was extremely nervous.

"Girlfriend huh? Well there is no way for you to join this guild...how stupid." with a clearly serious tone of voice. Though, he was still a bit drunk, Ikuto was 100% dead serious, with no joking manner what-so-ever. Hearing the boy state his name "Rei Hoshiyomi, yet I can call you whatever I want?" Taking the offer, Ikuto started teasing the boy, ignoring and not explain why joining Fairy Tail would be stupid. "Hmm. Let's see. We need of a nickname for you little one...Angelic Flash is me, Ikuto's the name. We also got Raina, the Fairy's Princess. Then theres Khalix, our Superman. We need something that would fit your personality...and magic. Tell me." offering Rei to provide of an answer to the statement.

He listened intently sifting through everything he was told like a prospector sifting through dirt trying to get a nugget of truth. He continued to smile at him. "Well Ikuto sir I'm not sure I've ever been the type to gauge myself, but just from that introduction alone I know that I'm going to like it here I mean if the members of Fairy Tail are as interesting and informative as you I am sure to find my way just fine."  his tone was still warm and friendly, but there was also a hint of mild amusement, he clearly enjoyed talking to this person.

"So tell me Ikuto sir what is the guildmaster like? I mean Lenor- I mean my girlfriend told me that the guildmaster was super strong and very scary, I did get the impression that she was stretching the truth just a smidge. She likes to do that sort of thing to me just to see my bewildered expression."

Lance walked in the guild with his hood on followed by Wolfy who noticed the newcomer. He saw that the person was being talked to by a drunk Ikuto which surprised him that Ikuto was drunk. He walked over when he mentioned the guild master. "The guild master is strong but I wouldn't call her scary unless you anger her." Lance smirked a little before sitting down next to the newcomer and Ikuto.

"The names Lance Knighthunter I would like to be known as The Light of the Darkness but I wouldn't really care, you can call me Lance or Light of the Darkness." When Lance relized he was repeating himself he kind of smiled and took off his hood as he started to become drunk.

"This.. This is Wolfy my trusty and lovable exceed." Lance stuttered on his words and kept drinking. It wasn't long before Lance leaned backwards and fell out of his chair. Him and Wolfy both burst out laughing and sat back down in the seat.

The moment Lance joined their group it became painfully obvious to him that they were a very social bunch he would have to work hard to fit in otherwise they might find out about his social awkwardness before he even tried to hide it. Rei gave him a curteous but shy wave.

He then turned his head towards the sound of someone calling out to the newcomer and he looked over at the newest member of their social circle his thoughts immediately began to wander. Guildmaster? But she looks so young and she's so adorable! he shook his head slightly and smiled warmly at her as she approached. "Guildmaster it is an absolute honor to meet you!" he said kindly.

Lance turned around and smiled when he saw the guild master. He waved and had a big smile on his face. "Hey nice to see you, you look good today." Lance smiled. "This is Rei Hoshiyomi." Lance said as he sat down at a table near Ebony and Rei "So I think that he wants to join the guild." Lance said as he leaned back on the table.

He pondered the answer for a moment took a breath and smiled at her. " Because my girlfriend was a member and it was her wish that I meet new people. She would always say: "Join Fairy Tail you'll meet the best of the best there!" Lenora was always the exuberant type so naturally I wanted to at least ask I just wish she could have been here to..." his voice trailed off a bit and he looked down at his hands for the briefest of moments then he looked back up at the guildmaster all smiles again. " But that aside I want to improve myself not just physically but socially as well and I believe that this place will make me..better somehow more well more than I am right now." he wasn't trying to prove himself with this sort of haphazard speech it was just how he always spoke with the utmost sincerity and determination.

The familiar sound of a new guild member giving the "I want to get stronger!" speech hit Simon's ear. He had heard it many times since he had given it himself to Master Leonard way back when, of course so far his speech has been rather lacking in the fulfilled department but that wasn't important. Now of course Simon would take this moment to make his presence known to the new guy. It was after all Simon's job to show new mages what not to be/do/act like/resemble who was the next big thing right?
Spring boarding out of the darkness, Simon landed on Ikuto's left shoulder before putting his right foot on his head and leaning over his right leg, effectively Captain Morgan-ing on the H-Rank mage. He pointed at Rei "Yo new guy! I'm Simon! In Fairy Tail I'm the next big thing and the lead role got it?! Stick with me and I might let you be an important support character! Aren't you lucky?"

True to form, Simon now fell off Ikuto and landed face first on the ground. There was pretty much no way that wasn't going to happen, gravity didn't like letting Simon look cool. That's just how things worked some times for the little guy. Sitting up, now looking up at Rei "So yeah hi!" looking at Ebony "Three-Sama gime a cookie for being so nice to the new person!"

Lance took a quick glance at Simon and shook his head with a smirk "The next big thing huh.. heh, I doubt it man. I mean can you even beat me in a spar? Can you beat everyone in here in a spar?" Lance started to question Simon playfully which he hoped that Simon didn't take those questions to offence. Lance tossed a cookie to Simon, patted him on the head and smiled "Nice try though, you get a cookie for your efforts.".

Lance waved his hand as if to ask Simon to sit down with him and join the talk between him, Rei, and Ebony. "Hey Rei, that's a really good reason to join the guild, I joined because my brother Griffon... he died for this guild and I wanted to know why he did that." Lance looked around the guild at all the smiles and laughter then looked at Simon and Ebony. "and I think I'm starting to see why, but anyway enough about me I wanna know more about you." Lance smirked as he thought of a question "What is your magic?" Lance pulled out a cookie from his coat pocket and started to eat it with his eyes stuck on Rei.

He simply smiled at the spectacle and when a question was posed to him he answered without hestitation in his voice as if it were as normal as remembering his name. "I am a Celestial mage just like my father before me and his father before him and so on and so on..It's a long line I could go into detail but I sincerly do not wish bore you with my family history." that really wasn't true it's not the fact that he didn't wish to detain them he just hated talking about his family especially about the father who made his life miserable.

Simon caught the cookie ate it gleefully before glaring at Lance "Asshole of course I could beat you in a fight! I could fight Grif and you aren't near as cool as him, so clearly that means I can kick your ass!" Simon jumped to his feet and pointed at Rei "Heck I bet I could take both of you on right now! There is no better introduction to Fairy Tail then a fight! Come on say something!" One cannot hope to beat Simon in a "Cause trouble over a harmless comment-off" he is simply the best there is.

Lance sighed and shook his head smirking but cringed a little when his brothers name was mentioned. "I was just joking with you man calm down, but if you insist...." Lance stood up from his seat and got into fighting stance "Shadow Claws!" Lances hands turned into sharp claws and he smiled playfully. "You really want to do this here and now?"

Rei remained calm inspite of the challenge afterall this was just a child someone who needed attention. "I could never fight goes against my better nature besides I'm sure this can be resolved with words if you two are willing to listen?" his tone was pleasant exuding the same calmness as his general demeanor, but he knew a lost cause when he saw one and this was one of those times when it would have been so much better if he had kept his mouth shut.

Simon ignored Lance and looked at Rei "Your boring I don't like you" turning back to Lance, he shrugged and activated his high speed magic. He really had no qualms with Lance, but he wanted a fight and he was ready to go. " I'm always sure. If it's a fight I'm ready to go, I would bet my money on the other guy, if you know what I know how to know. Besides you look way too much like Grif! You don't deserve his face!" Simon aimed a high kick at his face, as if his kick could restructure his face. "Also! That cookie was really BLAND!"

Lance turned to Rei only showing half of his face "I'm willing to listen but he isn't." Lance turned around fully to see a foot heading toward his face. He was shocked but smirked and tried to catch the foot and pull it to make Simon lose his footing and stab him in the heart with his claws Lance knew if this attack hit it would not be enough to kill Simon just paralyze his whole body for a few minutes. He glanced smirked at Simon "My claws poison and Paralyze any part of the body that it touches, I wont kill you because you I am starting to take a liking to you."

Lance sighed as his claws disappeared and dusted off his hands.

After listening a few hours of non-stop chatter between Lance, Simon, and the new boy, Ikuto was tired and wanted to sleep. The new kid, Rei, was simply a newbie, nothing else. He couldn't have fought even if he wanted too. Yet Ikuto noticed, Simon and Lance were trying to stir up a fight. How could a man sleep while a fight was happening? So Ikuto did the only logical thing any Fairy Tail member would do.

"Hey guys. Shut up. The new kid clearly doesn't want a fight. Being me, I will step in if-"

Ikuto was interrupted by a high speed kick heading towards Lance's face. Ikuto took measures and used what he shouldn't have had to use. Knowing Lance, the guy would probably try to attack Simon back, yet knowing Simon, the kid would never back down from a fight, even if the kid's to pushed to the point of near-death. So Ikuto quietly whispered something "Heaven Godslayer..." and with a blink of white light, Ikuto disappeared from his spot, between the two men. He was holding Simon by his leg, his foot nearly touching Ikuto, while holding Lance's arm, careful not to touch his claws of darkness.

"Hey, dammit. Don't make me do that again idiots. You guys are lucky that was just me. If Ebony was to see this..."

He hesitated then stopped his sentence. Both of the guys know full well what would've happened if the Guild Master saw that. Only Rei didn't know, but Ikuto depended on Lance and Simon to figure it out and explain to the boy the Guild Master's personality. With taht, he dozed off, right there, to sleep.

Simon was surprised that Lance had reacted to his attack(his speed was after all super human), much more surprised to find himself being stopped mid air by Ikuto. He wasn't surprised however when Ikuto fell asleep, that was just procedure. At the same time he was surprised that Indar's grip hadn't loosened when he fell asleep "uh.... well shit" he looked at Lance and then at Rei "......soooooo I guess that's one fight that isn't going to happen? Also do you think he would mind if I forced my way out of this? Or is I could possibly force my way out of this. H-Ranks and their unearthly power and all that. At least San-Sama didn't intervene, that would have been problematic to say the least."

Lance turned around after hearing the hello of the guild master and acted like nothing had happened "Hello Ebony how good to see you again. Kira tried to start a fight with me but I wouldn't let him..." He trailed off because he saw that he was getting no were with this and sat down quietly "Im sorry..." He said to Kira and he remembered that he almost would have either paralyzed his body forever or poison him which would potentially kill him after a few days to even months. Lance got up and walked over to Ebony ready to be punished.

Rei just stood there not exactly knowing how to handle this, so he did the only logical thing he stayed well away from the fighting. He found a seat at the bar and sat there watching them go at it. He seemed to recall a similar event occuring when his girlfriend was in the company of her fellow guildmates and he couldn't help but smile. "And here I thought it would be peaceful...I was so far from the mark."
